Peking House in Broxbourne

Had a delivery. Easy to place the order and told approx delivery time-actually came a little early. Food was labelled as we asked. Good taste and portion size. Will certainly use again.

First time visiting after it was recommended to us. Absolute stunning restaurant and the food was full of flavour.

Just had an evening meal & it was excellent. The food was very tasty & well cooked. The restaurant was very clean & well presented, the staff were very attentive and it was very good value for money. Will definitely go there again.

We originally ordered food for take away but when we walked in the staff were so welcoming that we decided to stay and eat in. The food was immaculate, the service was great. The lady serving us was very kind and helpful. The price we payed was around £20, there were 3 of us and we shared 3 dishes. (very cheap, but food is worth more). I would definitely recommend everyone to eat here and i will be telling my friends and family. 100% coming back again!! 🫶

We order from the restaurant but the meat even thin slices of meat are like rubber when we place an order is the food from the restaurant? Or do you have a shack somewhere you pick up the food ? Because no restaurant throws out rubber beef and tough kung-po chciken someone needs to take refresher cooking course yall SUCK !!!

Food was ok nothing special, chicken balls not cooked enough, curry very watery with no taste.

One of the good chinese restaurants in the area. Highly recommend. Very good prices in comparison to the competition.

Ingredients were good quality but the food was all quite bland. Both chilli beef and kung po chicken were seriously lacking spices. Prawn balls were good but everything was just a bit weak tasting. I left half of mine and didn't want to eat more.

I went for first time and ordered house special Chow Mein and chips. The Chow Mein was poor, hardly any meat etc and thin noodles. Chips were just dry and tasteless. Disappointed and possibly may not order again.

Very tasty food. I would recommend the chicken Peking style and Singapore noodles!

Ordered a takeaway. Great response from the restaurant order but driver was a miserable person. Was going to tip him but would rather have thrown our money on the grass.... get rid of him Peking house

Just had an excellent meal from their 'all you can eat' type menu (only available on certain days). The food was delicious and portions were just right. Will definitely go again👏👏👏 Update: Not sure they still do the all you can eat option anymore . Food is still excellent though,

This is a lovely Chinese Restaurant; the food is lovely the service is great and they serve Tiger beer.

Just picked up a takeaway tonight What a waste of £40 meal was dry and completely tasteless Various dishes ordered and not one was nice

This is a nice place never regret buying any of their meal!!! Very tasty and fulfilling. But the squid is not so great a bit dry and easily tiring.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner here. It was our first time trying out this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. The service was great, the staff were very attentive and didn’t leave us hanging around long between courses or when we wanted to pay. The food was lovely and GREAT value for money. We paid £19pp for the set menu which left us feeling full and came with a pot of Chinese tea after dinner. Overall it was 10/10 for us and we look forward to coming back.

Lovely place for a good Chinese

Always use this chinese but must say it wasn't up to scratch this evening.... the king prawns in batter had a white soggy stuff underneath the batter. Also the chicken chow mein was tasteless & dry. Latest review 24/12/23.... portion sizes are smaller & food was so cold. I've written 2 reviews now & no contact from Peking House....are they so cocky about their food & service that they can't address their faults. I've rang for 35 minutes to complain but can't get through! I think this is a totally unacceptable service & food quality & expect some kind of reply or refund!

It was our first time there this evening. We loved the food in all aspect. Athosphere was very peacefull and Jackie was great with the service. We appreciated it so much and my son already is looking forward to coming back. Many thanks

Very westernised pallet. Bland meals. Ordered spicy curry and got some meat in very mild gravy. My Chinese friend was very disappointed. I understand it’s catered for local people, but common, it’s not 1980s anymore, be more daring.

Had a takeaway from here was very nice and not greasy would highly recommend. Going to eat in next time.

We recently ordered at takeaway from Peking House. My goodness! Delicate morsels of delightful oriental cuisine. Couldn't complain, the word fresh comes to mind when reflecting on both occasions when we have ordered. The Mongolian Lamb is a particular dish of merit, fresh crunchy pawn crackers fluffy soft rice and more. Yes Please!!! more orders to come! Peking House is The Best Broxbourne has to offer in regards to Oriental Cuisine in my humble opinion lived here over 20 Plus Years.

I visited a Chinese restaurant in London, rated highly, however I can genuinely say it wasn’t and isn’t a patch on Peking House. I say this on all fronts, from quality of food, atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, etc. We have a gem locally, make sure you take a visit, it’s well worth it.

Best Chinese ever. We have eaten at many chinese restaurants, nothing comes close to this. Mongolian lamb and prawns in salt, chilli and garlic are just incredible. Staff are lovely, plenty of parking. I couldn’t speak highly enough of this restaurant.

Attended the Peking House for a fund raising event for Macmillan Cancer Support organised by the ladies of the Broxbourne Macmillan Committee. The restaurant was completely taken over by the 60 guests attending. The food was plentiful and excellent. The service, bearing in mind that all 60 guests arrived at the same time, was also excellent. All enjoyed the evening and at total of £1,200 was raised for the Charity. Well done to Sam and Grace and their staff for providing and excellent evening. 👏👏👏👏👏

This was my first time eating at Peking House and my friends first time eating in any Chinese restaurant. We booked last minute and luckily got the last table, the restaurant was empty when we arrived but completely full within half an hour so very popular. The staff were really nice and helpful, even gave us a short lesson in using chop sticks. The food was tasty and hot and the bill was I thought quite reasonable. I'll definitely book again next time I'm in Turnford. Very nice 👌🏻😋

Lovely food, but arrive early in the evening,otherwise definitely recommended to come here for dinner. They also do take away and deliver, which is a bonus!

Great staff fantastic food one of my favourites

Usually brilliant. Today we waited for more than the advised time which isn’t a issue in itself. But the food was not hot and my mixed meat curry was a little over half full in the container. Shame.

Myself and hubby ate here last Friday evening. We’d booked ahead. Glad we did as place was very busy, having a large party in spread over two tables. We haven’t eaten here for quite a few years.. Due to chef shortages we everyone was only allowed to eat/order from the Al La Carte menu which turned out was fine. We had the set meal for two, think it was about £22 each but honestly can’t remember! Food now was delicious! Enjoyed everything thought the mains could of been a little bigger, left feeling just full not overly full! Staff were very friendly and highly recommend and definitely eat here again

I absolutely loved it. Great service great food and it wasn't oily. Star for kind and gentle and I had to leave 5 stars. It was hygienic and it was very clean warm welcoming service and efficient and the food was delicious.

I used to love going here as their food was always amazing and the buffet was fantastic. However, recently I have noticed the the portions are smaller and the food that you order from the buffet comes out so much slower. It feels like they deliberately bring out the food slower, so that you can’t order as much. Also, I ordered a range of different starters and some of them were missing. It’s such a shame as I really like eating here, but feel like I now need to find another restaurant to visit. Plus one of their members of staff always make you feel uncomfortable about how much you are ordering, making comments like will you be able to eat all this etc.

Staff are great and place is very clean,toilets are kept very clean too (been to some grubby toilets in restaurants) Good tasty food and if you have any requirements they do try and accommodate them! Would recommend here

The service I got there today I would pay any amount of money for; so polite and knowledgable, amazing prices for the quality and temperature of food. Not forgetting the presentation. Spent like £50 for 2 people and left absolutely full at the end. Definitely will be back omg❤️

Peking House always offers good food so would most definitely recommend the restaurant to others. The only downside I would say are the drinks are on the hi side of expensive.

Ate here last week. Excellent service and food extremely good. We had the ongoing order menu. You can order up to 6 items then re-order more. all starters we had we well cooked and tasty. Mains we had Chilli crispy beef, couldn't fault it. Also hong kong style sweet and sour chicken. Everything we had was hot and tasty..

Food is top-notch; Always leave absolutely stuffed after having a great night Normally quiet when we visit but the atmosphere is always good, and the place is clean. We recently visited here for a birthday party. I must say that there was a distinct lack of atmosphere as the walls and decor were pretty plain and neutral. I noticed that they had air conditioning but during the whole evening it wasn't switched on once and it got hotter and hotter inside. No air flow what so ever. There was a below par service level as the dishes that were being carried out from the kitchen had the serving staffs fingers or thumbs in the food, I was not impressed.
