Peking Chef Chinese Takeaway Andover in Test Valley

Had a house chow mien,was salty,cold meat hot veg and noodles,chunks of sauce from re heating,also had seaweed which was all salt,my partner rates this food as good I disagree.

Everything tasted of sugar! Even the salt and chilli chips… no salt, no chilli, just sugar!

Really nice food but was missing that yummy hit of msg. Would order again but £7 delivery charge is bonkers.

Took over an hour to get food. Soup was just noodles and chicken no actual soup more like a noodle dish. Veg spring rolls soft. Not a great order or quality

ordered a large take away. Food quality was OK. Nothing to write home about. Seaweed portion was tiny. May be a desert spoon full. Despite making it clear that we don't eat pork, they still put pork ribs in one of the snack dishes resulting in that dish being thrown away wasting £8 or so.

Overpriced for the quality. There was more sugar than seaweed in the seaweed. Salt and chilli Chips were small portion and put in a sweaty plastic box so they were soggy and lacked the seasoning that these style of chips usually have. The ribs were ok but the sauce was a strange colour. The Singapore chow mein was not spicy at all and just heavily seasoned with curry powder or something similar. First time ordering and won’t order again.

Wrong food delivered, no answer to calling restaurant and conveniently missing a "just eat" receipt so claim unlikely to be accepted... usually good..

Not very happy as I ordered 2 portions of chips and only received 1 of those 2 portions, I also ordered 10 sweet and sours chicken balls and I think the delivery driver might have eat one on her way as I only had 9 sweet and sour chicken balls instead of the 10 I ordered

Just Eat App is NEVER updated when order is out for delivery. The duck was FULL of fat , its suppose to be CRISPY duck. Horrible , I hardly ate anything as the nit enough pancakes and the few I did have were paper thin! I hardly put anything in the pancakes and ripped! Sauce went EVERYWHERE, all over my hands. Truly dissappointed.

Absolutely shocking service. Restaurant won't pick up the phone or return any messages despite countless phonecalls. Tried to cancel and then the food shows up 2 hours after the order was placed. Full refund required. Terrible service

Very disappointed, food ordered never arrived. Telephone number not answered. Restaurant failed to respond on Just Eat app. Very happy to take our money, not so much when it comes to delivering the goods. Really poor service. Would not recommend.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE. Food not delivered 2 hours after order, tried to call them multiple times with no answer finally got through and was informed they can cook it now and I can collect it? When asked for a refund I was told they can’t do this? Shocking service I would expect better from literally anywhere else.

It got to the time it said the food would be delivered however it wasn’t so I called the restaurant and they said that the order was on the system however the ticket had not gone too the kitchen. My food was an hour and a half late

The food was cold , we were missing the chips as well as all the bits to go with the 1/4 duck …. No pancakes, sauce or cucumber & onion .

food usually good. But chips were not so good today. looked like lunchtimes heated up. Not much potato in them, very dry. Freshly cooked would be alot nicer.

The food is very tasty, but I always order beef chop suey. Three times now, the chop suey has had fried noodles in the bottom of the container. I have phoned them twice about this and I have been told twice that no there shouldn't be noodles in chop suey. So why do I keep getting them? I don't like noodles at all, so it kinda spoilt it for me. Nit sure what else I can do apart from call them, which I have done. They don't always have the noodles, and when the order is correct, it's delicious.

An hour late and when it turned up there was no sorry its late no nothing. Complained and just eat were as bad as the food. You learn a lot about a company when things go wrong.

Chicken curry had a sweet, non spiced sauce which is not what I expected. Did not enjoy it.

Very very very late. Tried calling the restaurant multiple times after about 90 mins, on justeats suggestion, they never picked up. First time I've ever had to interact with justeat support directly. Food was lukewarm/cold on arrival, no idea how long it was sat around before it reached us. Won't be using them again.

Awful. No stars. Only one as I had to put it. Ordered two and a half hours ago. Told ordered would be delayed, chased after new delivery time given. No response, called four times and knowbody picking the phone up. Terrible service.

Ordered online and took 2 hours for it to be delivered. Tried calling both numbers provided and there was no answer. Food was cold and undercooked when it finally arrived. Won't be using again!

Delivery was in the time specified and delivered nicely. The food was great, just what we'd been craving for a while. Felt nice and clean and not oily, really nice and recommend especially if you've got a hankering for some nice Chinese food.

Food was genuinely really good. Admittedly a tad colder than I'd have liked, but couldn't fault it. The food quality was so much better than what we were used to, highly recommend when ordering on Wednesday?👍

As a long standing customer... Disappointed. Veg mixed curry was basically all onion, aweful. The other items order were tasteless. Emailed the restaurant but no response..... They have clearly gone down hill and we will not be using them again.

Worst Chinese, will agree with previous comment. Very expensive, didn’t taste fresh, and it tasted, felt and looked like it was reheated, and it was very salty, unfortunately most of it went straight into the dustbin. Wasted money, and both of us are very disappointed. Will not be ordering again, the management need to reflect on all of the negative feedbacks left here. I would not be surprised if I get diarrhoea the next day!

Worst Chinese by far in a long time. Tasteless- re heated, some chicken warm some stone cold. Crispy beef looked and tasted like its days old. Disappointing £35 Shame as used to be grate .. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Was disappointed with food tonight. Rice was cold and chicken in sweet and sour was hard and not really edible. Also had pancake rolls and they were over cooked with hardly any filling, feel ripped off and disappointed. Time to try a new Chinese :(

The food is normally just as expected, I tend to order the same every time. The ribs are always delicious and all the food is always hot.

The 3 in 1 came completely wrong. I ordered with the sweet and sour sauce but it came with something else. I was not happy. I took pictures of this funny sauce.

Generally, an acceptable takeaway, but reluctantly had deduct 3 stars, one for the chips that were undercooked and dry (they are always hit and miss) and another two for the chicken balls, that although fair, have significantly reduced in size despite the expected price increase, being half the size they were last year. Just not the same being so small and could easily eat most in one mouthful. That's 70p per mouthful!!

Quality as always good but delivery was half an hour too early. Luckily we have an Aga so we could keep it warm in the simmering oven.

The only thing was my daughter didn't like the Veg Spring Rolls. The rest was fine.

The wet rice was yummy and a large portion. Unfortunately the mixed starter wasn’t good. The rib was ok but dry and the spring rolls and the prawn toast weren’t crispy but bendy and soft from being in the plastic container tub .

Tasty food. Temperature is sometimes a concern.

Very disappointed with this meal. I have used Peking Chef for many years but I’m sure that (after this experience) it’s either changed hands or has a poor chef. Bland and flavourless and I actually feel like I’ve been ripped off. Think I could have done better myself!

Fantastic order, the prawn toast was particularly good. Loved the vegetables in the dishes.

Cucumber looked old, duck wasn't crispy. Chicken balls very really nice tough.

Very quick delivery and the food was piping hot. Have noticed the last couple of times I've ordered that the pancake rolls are always a little too well done, that's just a personal observation. Also tried the Kung Po chicken tonight and I thought it was a little mild not much of a punch to it really. But overall a good experience, would use them again 👍
