Polite, friendly landlady and staff, reasonably priced local pub with a great atmosphere especially when it has a band on or for the football. Very well kept back garden

We went for a drink as a group of 12 after a lovely curry down the road. The land lady was absolutely disgusting! She was rude, she was mouthy and she was swearing all over the place. In our group was a 79 year old man who she picked on and made to cry as he was ‘blocking her way’. She could definitely get through the gap but was making a point and in the end caused this 79 year old man to cry as she made him feel so small. What a horrible lady and I am disgraced that she can get away with being so rude to customers in her pub. This land lady needs to go! Will never be returning!

Arrived at the pub and straight away the landlady asked for us to move out of her way at every opportunity. She was very rude and shouted at all people in the pub at all opportunities. We got past this at first and got a couple more drinks. However the tip of the rudeness iceberg was when the landlady asked an 80 year old man to move out of her way and wouldn’t move to the side until he had moved. He had just got out of his chair and was stiff so couldn’t moved quickly, being 80 this is tough. She told us “tough s*** he needs to move” and that was the final straw. We all left and will never be going back. It brought an 80 year old man to tears because he thought he had caused us to get kicked out.

Came to the Peg and Parrot for a nice drink. Got shouted at by the bar lady, using foul language .. that we should “move out the f’ing way” before we were ever able to sit down with our drinks. Not the welcome we expected

Off the radar locals pub hidden away by Eling Wharf,I received the friendliest welcome by the landady who was a very bubbly lively person admired by the locals and who runs a perfect pub.If every landlady did their job like her then pubs wouldn't be shutting down at such an alarming rate.

Great traditional pub . Warmly welcomed by lady behind the bar - great selection of beers and gin - mixed age range of customer seems like a proper local pub too

Best fish and chips in a long time… the small size of the kiosk had me convinced it would just be drinks etc, but oh, how wrong I was! Such a variety, quick and friendly service
