I love this place and have been coming since it opened but the last few times I’ve been, I’ve had to wait around 15 mins for a takeaway coffee. Staff are getting stressed and flustered, mixing up orders and on two occasions they simply stopped taking orders because they’d got so behind (but didn’t explain this to the waiting customers). I’m sure they are trying their best but it’s awful to see customers walking out. Such a shame as I really want to continue to enjoy coming here, and the coffee is great! I like supporting local businesses and want to see them thrive. Not sure what the problem is - maybe the kitchen is too small to cope with all the food orders or perhaps the staff need dedicated roles eg. One person making all the coffee. Maybe the menu is too diverse for that little kitchen? It would help too if a staff member perhaps explained that there would be a long wait due to it being particularly busy, and then we could decide whether to leave the queue. I’m putting this review on here in the hope that the owners will see it and make some changes. I really hope it improves.

Visited for brunch with my three teens. I say brunch; for me, it was way past lunchtime - for them, being on half term, 1230 was frankly first thing in the morning! Coffee was good, full English for rapidly growing boy was “immense”. Milkshake and panini, “lush” and despite the cold (of which no one can be responsible for...unless you speak with the resident vegan, whose needs would have been amply catered for, had she been hungry...), we all enjoyed our half term treat of breakfast/lunch out, out. With many thanks to the hospitable welcome from the staff and the warmth of the felt blankets left for customers using the outside space. Many thanks!

Brillante.

I love their food, I have been a few times and I liked it. However the problems are the premises and management. The cafe is tiny, a few tables very cramped, not great when you have children like we do. When I sat in the conservatory it smelled of drain, like when the drain is blocked. Outdoors weekdays the nearby garage was very noisy and I could smell car fumes. Not a good experience over all unfortunately. Also they often run out of things, like bread. But what I find the worse is that they randomly close even during their displayed opening hours, so if you turn up you can never be certain that you will find them open. I think this is extremely unprofessional, it can happen in extreme circumstances but I've not seen other cafes do that on a regular basis like they do. It happened to me a couple of times, and I stopped going. It's a pity because staff are usually friendly, and their cakes are delicious.

No he estado en P & H por unos meses después de un café y un sándwich no muy buenos la última vez. Ciertamente, el café ha mejorado, pero me apetecía una tostada de queso. Pero no hay pan blanco! ¡No marrón tampoco! Sólo granero, así que me fui, con hambre después de un café: (.

Amazing little cafe hidden away in the residential roads near Chatterton Road. The owners and staff are all lovely and they have the most delicious chocolate cake! Definitely worth a visit... or more!

Just stopped off for a coffee after local business meeting. I've reviewed this before as it's usually good but what a disappointment today. Coffee was just warm, not good. BLT sandwich had pre cooked back that was microwaved and salad not good either. Waste of money! Will not visit again

We popped in after having a good shop nearby and though we hadn’t been before we were so impressed with both food and the really amazing coffee ! The vibe is relaxed and chilled , nice outdoor space too which seemed nice and quiet with no traffic noise . All in all a very positive experience:)

My husband and I popped in for a quick salad for a late lunch today, the salad tasted fresh and was well presented, just a couple of points that I feel the staff should consider in the future, I felt that the salad dressing should have been brought to the table with the salad and bearing in mind that it was an incredible hot afternoon it would have been nice to have some ice in the water, being so hot we did not feel like having the coffee that everybody raves about, but being local to us no doubt we will return.

Whilst we were having a big renovation and no electric or water in the house, the bacon, sausage and egg sandwich and fabulous coffee kept me going whilst working at our house. Staff are lovely and friendly too... I highly recommend it.

Although this cafe can get very busy, it’s still worth the wait around for their delicious cakes and great coffee. I have been a couple of times now with a friend and we particularly like the small brownie bites (they’re a must try). The breakfast & lunch menu is also great with quite a variety to choose from. There is also an outside seating area which is lovely in the summer- however, do not be put off by using the outside area during colder months as blankets are provided! Staff always seem cheery, and generally just a nice vibe in there.

Nice little suburban cafe. Had breakfast with friends we were staying with: all had some combination of scrambled egg, haloumi, smoked salmon and avocado, with coffees. All really good. Nice people and nice location on a corner - mostly outdoor tables so probably a problem if it rains to have enough space.

This café is an absolute treasure. It has a friendly and welcoming ambiance. The staff are polite and helpful and the menu is wide ranging. Different tastes are catered for, including gluten free. The food is well prepared and everything looks clean and tempting to eat. A gem of a café.

This is the kind of coffee you expect to find in the City, not Bromley! Perfect, full flavour coffee and the service from all staff is fabulous too The cafe has a quirky, independent feel to it and the home-made cakes are a nice touch.

I'm coming to the cafe nearly every day since the day it was open. Great coffee and the food. Wonderful team. But you get here much more than that - a hug after sleepless night with your baby, a cheer up before job interview. It is a genuine heart of the Chatterton village.

Called in here to get a Coffee and was tempted to buy a piece of Carrott Cake, well the cake was delicious, best Carrott cake ever, so then onto the Coffee, well it was also delicious, as it was so good we talked our daughter into accompanying us on a Sunday morning so we could try the breakfast, the breakfast was huge and again delicious, my daughter had a Hot chocolate drink which, she said was better than her favourite well known coffee shop, so we will go again as soon as it stops raining long enough for us to walk there. Highly recommend this cafe, the staff are very friendly as seem the other customers, a refreshing change.

I will definitely return. The welcome was very good. The decor and layout were also very pleasant with a fashionable-London and non-chain feel. The premises are small though and I imagine it might be a bit hectic at busy periods if it is too wet or chilly for the outside tables. I was served as good a flat white as I've ever had anywhere - no more needs to be said!

I stumbled upon this place while booking my car in for an MOT at Mosslea Garage (great local garage btw!), and enjoyed some carrot cake and excellent coffee. It is a real oasis in Chatterton village. Service was friendly and prompt, and I was intrigued to see that you could purchase speciality bread baked to order!

Always welcoming, Pearson and Hearn serves the best latte in Bromley and has really done a lot with a small space. Good selection of coffees, teas and cakes and they even do breakfasts now too (though I've not tried it yet). They sell a wide range of artisan and French breads (you have to order beforehand to collect in a couple of days) - they're well worth it and are the best breads I've found in the U.K. Think PAUL. The team are really friendly and personable. It's usually open 7 days a week. Coffees are available for take away too. Oh, and the sandwiches are pretty good too.

Friendly cafe and my daughter and I were enjoying a quiet catch up breakfast when a family came in and asked us to move tables to accommodate them which we did then half way through our breakfast someone came in with six young children and she herself sat down to have a coffee and left the children with no where to sit just standing around. There are only four tables inside the cafe and it appeared to be treated like a playgroup while we were in there. We will not be going back there for a quiet breakfast!!!

I stopped in for lunch and had the chicken escalope with fries and my partner had the spaghetti bolognaise. It was a delicious meal with a home cooked feel at a very reasonable price! The lady who served us was very friendly, chatty and absolutely hilarious. I will be going back!

The coffee and cakes here are sensational. I'm serious about coffee; it is an obsession. I source my own green coffee beans, roast them and work hard to be a good barista. Hence I am always dissatisfied with coffee 'out'. I fell upon this place while waiting to pick-up my wife from the hospital yesterday. It is the best prepared coffee I've had out in recent years. The one that came close cost £8.50 from a Michelin star restaurant. The only down side is that I need a better excuse to go back! The service was great too. Keep-up the great work.
