Nice place for lunch. Beautiful view of the lake nearby.

We had a lovely lunch here. The salad was delicious, super fresh and flavourful. The side portion of sweet potato fries was also great, generous portion size. There was a long queue but the food arrived quickly after ordering.

Great location and great pizza!

Immediately got spoken to rudely by a man who said the ‘bar was not working’ and we couldn’t come in at 18.16pm. Really bad reception and immediately felt uninvited. Very dissapointed after travelling to get here.

Pleasant terrace and very good iced coffee

Loved the coffee and had excellent maple bacon butties. Wonderful to sit at the water and watch the world go by. People watching and dog watching.

Ordered three coffees but the place was so busy it took ages to be made. Definitely not a place if you want a quick takeaway.

El personal era tan amable, la comida era genial, estaba muy ocupado ayer 10 de mayo como medio maratón en, hijo estaba corriendo, así que encontramos el café y disfrutamos de un hermoso sarnie de tocino! Una cosa que sí me preocupó fue que cuando compras bebidas calientes no hay cobertura en ellas ya que estaba extremadamente ocupado allí si alguien me hubiera empujado el té caliente podría haber quemado a alguien gracias a Dios llegué a nuestra mesa sin que esto pasara pero aparte de eso tuve un día fantástico y bien hecho a todo el personal que trabaja allí 👏👏

One of my daily routines that brings me joy has unfortunately been impacted by some recent changes that are important to certain customers. Firstly, the removal of almond milk is disappointing.🥲 Secondly, I have a small senior dog who suffers from several chronic health issues.I was recently confronted by a manager who informed me that the seating coverings had changed, and as a result, all dogs must now sit on the floor. While I understand and appreciate the need for these changes, I asked if it would be possible for my 4-kilo dog to sit on my lap instead, so he wouldn't be touching anything except me. She, however, rudely insisted that he must still be on the floor (a cold and dirty surface). I want to mention that, as a 12-year-old dog, being on the floor during the winter could be detrimental to his health, particularly due to drafts and his existing health conditions (such as prostate issues). Despite this, I still love your café deeply. The staff has always been amazing, and it has been my regular routine since the establishment first opened. Even my dog grew up coming here, and he's been a loyal "client" since his early puppy years.🐶 However, I believe that, as a manager, a more polite and accommodating approach to loyal customers would be appreciated, especially those who are respectful and willing to find reasonable solutions. For example, I had offered to place my large, puffy coat under my dog or simply have him sit on my lap to ensure he doesn't come into contact with anything he shouldn’t.🙏🏻

Disappointed as its in an ideal spot but the pigeons are a nuisance. The fact staff are abit "slow' in clearing the tables this provides food for our winged friends creating a rather odd experience as l don't like pigeons with my food. They could use tried and tested methods to deter them....the benches also could do with a refurbishment as they look tired....

Precioso café para el té / café bocadillo y recoger en el mostrador. Tres zonas de estar. Mesas blancas interiores, pintura verde claro que gusta. Exterior por pistas de tenis y zona delantera exterior. Tuve un rollo de espinacas. Diferente pero para 4. 50 buen precio. Sentado fuera y decidió quedarse como gran músico cantando canciones femeninas. Hermosa noche como verano en abril. Ardillas, canto de pájaro, árboles música cerveza de vino como un día de fiesta! Nos alojamos durante horas pedido pizza pero una cosa nueva. Bonita corteza eligió mal un vegano pero quería vegetariano. Mesera encantadora muy servicial y hablador. Tienen otros en el sur de Londres que pueden ir también. El problema era salir y enfrentar la locura del tráfico de Londres, sirenas, basura, gente.

The staff can be rude and unprofessional. Alesia and her colleague at the till acted as if we were interrupting their chit-chat while we were waiting to order. This led to miscommunication, and we were told that the food we wanted was out of stock - despite the fact that the customers who ordered right before and right after us were able to get it. That said, the waiters working outside were lovely. I’ll come back, as the atmosphere and food are nice.

Cool spot, gets VERY busy! Drinks aren’t the cheapest. Nice for a sunny day, but be prepared to wait in line to get in and bicker over seating, and wait in long queues for the toilet.

They suddenly and without warning closed an hour early - and right while I was trying to breastfeed. I’m now stuck out on a cold park bench with a screaming baby and a cold coffee which they happily sold me - I specifically told them I wanted to have it in - a few minutes later guards were clearing the tables, lights were off BEFORE people could even leave and doors locked immediately. SHOCKING! Do not go here and reward this appalling behaviour 🤬🤬

Arbitrarily closed at 5pm (an hour early) because “not busy enough” which is totally BS because 20 people were shoved out the door with ZERO notice… breastfeeding babys and all. We ordered and sat a few mins before 5 and suddenly a guard was kicking us out with our unfinished food half eaten. UNBELIEVABLE!!

They said they are closing before the schedule mentioned in the website. It was so disappointing and messed up our plan.

The food was delicious, the view was beautiful, and it was fun for the family. We went there on the first day of Eid and enjoyed the garden, boat rides, and children’s games after eating. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

When the weather means you can't sit on the terrace next to the lake and everybody crams inside, The Pear Tree cafe has all the charm and sophistication of a railway cafe. Add to that so-so coffee in a cheap and nasty paper cup at £3.50 a go and you have a reason to stay away.

The staff were rude for no reason they didn't want to serve us coffee even though the machine was on and they were serving other people (we just seen 1 couple and other person inside only) they said the machine was off and we wanted to order other things they had a funny attitude with us. they said that they were understaffed as the reason to don't be served... I don't recommend this place, and definitely will not return.

Ordered 2 hot chocolate drinks that were no more than luke warm that I had to wait 15 minutes for. They were busy, but someone had to ask about their order to get it after waiting.

Worst matcha I’ve had in my life!

Queued 20 minutes only to be told no decaffeinated coffee. Why not write it on a board by queuing point. Do they expect people who get palpitations or have high blood pressure to drink caffeine at a whim?! Ask for extra hot, but it wasn't even hot - just tepid. Two girls in charge a bit ditsy imo.

I write this While I'm having a matcha latte with oat milk in Battersea Park, in a very cute cafe next to the lake, while I'm searching on Google if seagulls can shit while flying or only when they're still on a branch. I'm becoming everything I didn't want. I wonder what happy people do on Sundays. I've been planning my return home for a while and I'm not sure where it is anymore. Freedom yes but also courage to live it. Survival mode is a great exercise but it is exhausting. The seagulls fly very close to the tables and people put their sandwiches under cover. I think beauty is not what it used to be.

Obviously a very good cafe, but please please put in recycling bins for all your boujee wine bottles and glass bottle kombucha. To see everyone throwing it in a main all round bin by the door which was overflowing just breaks my heart when we are needing to be sustainable. Glass can be re used !! Please put in bins near the outside tables for this asap..

I have been a loyal customer of Pear Tree Battersea Cafe for the past five years, coming almost every day for an almond milk cappuccino and a nut and fruit bar—the only healthy option available that suited my dietary needs. Over this time, I have spent approximately £13,000 in this cafe, making it an essential part of my routine. However, recent management changes have resulted in removing both almond milk and the healthy bar, citing low demand and short shelf life. This is particularly concerning because this is the only cafe in the park where people can warm up, have a coffee, and use a restroom while walking their dogs or spending time with their families. If you are considering becoming a regular at this cafe, be aware: management prioritizes longer shelf life products over fresh and healthy alternatives. They prefer what lasts longer rather than offering options that cater to customers’ needs. If they refuse to sell something as simple as a nut bar because it “expires too fast”, what does that say about the quality of other ingredients they use? What kind of milk do they serve? What other compromises do they make in the name of convenience and profit? While I appreciate the wonderful staff who have always created a great atmosphere, I am deeply disappointed in how this cafe is now run. I tried for weeks to continue supporting them by ordering alternative drinks, but at the cost of my health. I have now decided to stop drinking coffee here entirely and will only stop by if I need something basic, like a bottle of water. It is disheartening to see that the management prioritizes its own comfort and revenue over the well-being and needs of its loyal customers. A business should listen to its community, not force people to consume whatever is easiest for them to stock. So before you commit to this place, think carefully about whether you want to support a cafe that doesn’t prioritize fresh, healthy options and doesn’t care about long-term customers.

Used to love going to this place but I fear it’s a victim of its own success and failure to provide a decent swift service. Even on a cold cloudy winter day there’s a huge queue for coffee - I dread to think what it’ll be like when it warms up or the sun is out. And when I ask roughly how long the queue is, the dippy cashier points to the start of the queue and then the end of the queue and says “From there to there.” Grrrr A great alternative with really friendly service and no long wait can be found 5 mins walk away by Battersea Power Station on the Thames embankment at the Feel Good Coffee van.

It has a nice location in the garden. It has regular coffee, but it features outdoor seating overlooking the lake. It is worth a visit in the morning.

Very sad to write this but I’m incredibly shocked and disappointed. My husband took my son out for a walk in the park. Halfway through his walk the baby needed to eat, he stopped off at the pear tree cafe to get somewhere dry and feed the baby. He was approached by a female member of staff who told him they were closed. He arrived around 4:15pm and they don’t close until 5pm. He said he wouldn’t order anything hot, he just wanted to do a quick feed in the warm and dry. He was turned away and had to feed our son (he is 4 months old) outside in the cold. Other customers were also turned away who wanted to come in.

They hosted our post wedding drinks and it was just wonderful. Great food and the staff all went above and beyond to keep our guests happy. Everything was timed perfectly and they were so helpful setting it up - both management and staff.

I was surprised by the quality and presentation and above all how delicious everything was... without a doubt one of the best places to have brunch.

Tuvimos un desayuno rápido aquí después de visitar a nuestro hijo en LSE. El entorno es hermoso, ubicado en un parque en el corazón de Londres. La cafetería es luminosa y ventilada, lo que permite la entrada de luz solar natural desde múltiples puertas del patio y tragaluces. La comida / bebidas también eran muy buenas. Tomé un chocolate caliente de menta y pastelería feta mientras mi marido tenía tostadas de aguacate - todo bien preparado. Un lugar encantador para un bocado.

Good coffee, big slice of cake, sat outside by the boating pond being pestered by pigeons. A good place for a break as you stroll around the park.

The food is mediocre and utterly overpriced. A burger (no fries) is £15. Better walk up to Battersea Power Station where you can get a proper two-course meal for £24.50 (just one of the many options available). Service is unbothered, they don’t think, creating unnecessary hassle for the customer. That was the first and last time we visit the cafe. Do not recommend.

A great brunch spot if you know what you’re getting yourself in to! If visiting on a weekend, you will queue to order, you will have long waiting times for your food (50mins on a Sunday at 2pm), it will be busy and potentially loud music, but that’s what Pear Tree Battersea is about. The atmosphere is great, the food and coffee is great and the setting also great. Not for everyone but a real go-to spot to meet friends after a run on the weekend.

Such a disappointment! Pear tree cafe has always been a favourite of ours but today i felt like i’ve been scammed. I ordered two orders of adult sized pancakes and was surprised to receive only the tinniest portion of pancakes. My two year old ended up eating both plates from how tiny they were. Pear tree please go back to your normal sized pancakes. Or atleast charge a reasonable amount for these tiny pancakes. Paying 24£ for this is a joke.

Pear Tree Cafe is in Battersea Park. It's a lovely place to relax after walking you're dogs or just out with family. Definitely Recommend you stop here before going home ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Lovely location for a cafe, but unfortunately, the customer service was just awful. The young staff seemed more preoccupied with socialising among themselves than attending to customers. They seemed annoyed and rude when approached with any questions. One staff member, a young woman with short hair who seemed to be in a supervisory role, was exceptionally rude, obnoxious, and hostile in her interactions with both junior staff and customers. It's important that someone higher up address the awful customer service, as it's ruining the experience for customers.

£3.20 for a cookie? Are they mad? Was it worth it? YES. Also the music was amazing, 90`s rock vibes. Thank you.

Great place to meet with friends on a sunny day. They have music and plenty of seats although it can get quite busy and there seems to always be a queue for the toilet.

Great place where to eat and hangout with friends. At the time we eat it was available only pizza but they were great in Italian style. Beer was also good. The view is amazing. It could be difficult to find a table as its is very busy at times.

Visited on a weekend and a weekday … what a difference. Crowded on the weekend but the staff has it down to a science to serve you quickly once you get through the line. Great for seeing all the canines mingling and having fun!

Many memories later, and this amazing place is still here. Love it. ❤️

This was a gem of a find! Let's start with the vibe, the most picturesque way to eat a meal, by the beauty of a lake amongst lush green! The food at the cafe is also surprisingly tasty. It is neither cheap nor expensive. I was happy to pay the price I did and get the food as well as the experience! Highly recommend the sandwiches here - huge portion size, and very very tasty. Even the pancakes were amazing and again served in a huge portion size.

Gluten - pan libre necesita ser tostado bien para ser comestible. En general siento que malgasté mi dinero. El café es bueno, así que no hay quejas allí. Este lugar está muy ocupado. Sólo puedo imaginar cuánto dinero ganan cada día, debe estar pasando por decenas de miles, pero la comida necesita ser mejor.

Great atmosphere by the water. My pancakes looked beautiful but didn’t taste great. They were very floury and they’d poured cream on top instead of putting it on the side, which meant by the time they were served they were soggy.
