it’s good for breakfast and coffee

Great atmosphere by the water. My pancakes looked beautiful but didn’t taste great. They were very floury and they’d poured cream on top instead of putting it on the side, which meant by the time they were served they were soggy.

I think the staff do the very best they can, but as its a busy location. There is all ways some kinda confusion with the pickup section. But i love its always friendly with pets also

I went here on a Sunday morning and you can see that this is a popular spot. I absolutely love the ambiance here and the food options are decent (which I did not expect, not sure why). My friends and I ended up really enjoying our experience.

Great atmosphere especially in summer. More for young people I’d say. Weekends are a bit chaotic, they turn the outside seating into almost a full on lakeside party venue lol. Super nice for drinking in summer but also for just a regular cafe snack. They do have food too

Too many little kids running round screaming and being a nuisance to be honest! Food was great, green fly everywhere which was a nightmare but coffee was luvly 😀

Review of Saturday afternoon in summer: Super long cues to get in (2hrs wait), then you are met with tables full of other people’s rubbish that you have to clear yourself, it either stinks of bins, sewage or murky pond water. When you want to get food or drinks or use facilities (no toilet paper, hand towels or soap) you need to cue again!! Everything’s is rather expensive for what you get and served in plastic cups or on paper plates. The rumorend „handsome men“ that are supposed to frequent this place are falling over at this point because they’re so drunk 😂 sadly very overhyped by socials, could be nice with better organisation and less people

Queues were massive not worth a 15 min wait let alone a 2 hour one. Bring your own beers and sit on the grass outside much better

Great place to go with family and friends. But extremely expensive and long time spent in the queues, staff need to 😃 smile more often, nothing worse than seeing a member of staff who really don't want to be there working.

As a good customer I’ve been very disappointed, I went to treat my self , the muffins lemon and chia and fruits & almond tart tasted very dry , felt like when you leave a cake in a container for a week , so I couldn’t eat it and it will go to the bin £7 , which is not fair , waste of money.

Surprisingly great pancakes with a light lemon flavor that were fluffy and delicious. Served in a large stack of three. Scrambled eggs were very good. The hot chocolate was perfect and included marshmallows. Reasonably priced kids menu for an adult size portion. Nice picnic tables with shade or sun with a nice view to watch the ducks on the lake. Friendly service and not a long wait even on a busy Sunday morning. Way better than I had expected from a park concession. I will absolutely be back.

This charming cafe is set in the heart of Battersea park and serves salads, sandwiches and cakes . It has plenty of outdoor seating on the terrace and is a great venue to have a cuppa overlooking the lake. It’s always buzzing and the staff are very friendly .

Nice outdoor space, good food, poor toilets

Absolutely DISGUSTED by the price of the CANNED cocktails. £7.80 per can! Shocking; especially as a mixologist I’m offended anywhere would try and charge that. Also dirty tables outside. I understand being busy and in a prime location in the park but there should be some effort.

I looked long and hard. No Pear tree. They did serve Perry however so maybe this was the way said tree met its demise. Nice vibes in the sun. In the rain less so.

A sort of would-be Oasis on the South Eastern section of Battersea Park. Plenty of outside seating. Cafeteria style food & drink collection. Very young staff. The food was really excellent & abundant. But this is an upmarket Café so expect to pay accordingly. Very relaxing environment.

There were 16 of us. We sat outside and ate and drank coffee. It was an utter delight from beginning to end. The two members of staff - one make, one female - were friendly and went out of their way to make our experience a good one.

Such a lovely place to sit outside on a summer’s day and the DJ set was incredible! Such delicious Prosecco too!

I noticed the decline in service (lady at the til uninterested in taking orders and not even a thank you) and the toilet hygiene is bad, although the food is good, the coffee and hot drinks are not good

Really lovely staff, a very nice venue and great coffee however the pizzas are so so bland. No flavour , no seasoning. We had the mushroom pizza which would have been nice with a touch or garlic and sea salt but it was totally tasteless. What a shame! Could be so much better. Plus as per my Google review a while ago the venue is jam packed with dogs. I love dogs but the incessant barking could drive you insane. One woman had 4 dogs and everyone was tripping on their leads. They really shouldn’t allow dogs in the central area so people can enjoy peace and quiet whilst eating. The staff deserve a medal for putting up with the noise in this place!

Dead gaff! Came expecting the Thursday live music vibes at 5pm. A load of old ladies sitting in a chilled cafe. Don’t waste your time!

A great place to enjoy some foods in a pleasant green nature.

Queue was horrendous and people kept pushing in. Shoutout to Lydia who’s came and checked in with us and made sure we were all okay- she was amazing!

Watery coffee and very expensive. Avoid this place if you're looking for a decent coffee.

Don't order that acai bowl. I don't actually think there was any acai in it. Looked and tasted like raspberries and filled with raspberry seeds. Don't waste your money. Pretty disappointing. The vegan burger was a disappointment as well. Won't be going back for food.

A visit to do if you visit London. Quiet place next to a lake. Young atmosphere, people who come out to the tennis courts, run, play sports in general or just walk around and make breakfast. We found it lovely. Good food, variety.

Why do they insist on playing awful bland music so loud that it makes me want to leave ? Missed opportunity

This is a lovely cafe situated in Battersea Park by the pond. It has good food and clan lavatory facilities. On a sunny day there is plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating is plenty as well. Given it's relative monopoly within the park, this place is very popular and can get very busy (to the point of being a victim of its own success). I visited this cafe on a busy Sunday May Bank Holiday weekend afternoon. Because of this there were long queues, no outdoor seating and the food took a while to be delivered unsurprisingly. Because of this I recommend visiting the cafe at less busy periods.

Beautiful spot on the lake for brunch, coffee or drinks on a nice sunny weekend day in London but expect long queues for everything (to get a table, place an order or use the toilet)

Super chill place to enjoy a beer on a sunny day

Local cafe serving a wide selection of items, on the pricy side, but location does make up for it

£15 for a burger and a muffin. No salad or chips with the burger either, both extremely dry. Burger also came with a slice of cheddar cheese apparently, but this was orange, transparent and tasteless.

I enjoy their scrambled eggs and salmon with a match latte!

I can’t believe the waiting time for cappuccino was 7 minutes on a slow week day with few people in the line. Unbelievable!

I have read some reviews about long waits and I experienced the same but it is to be expected in London on a “sunny” Sunday morning. The staff were under extreme pressure and doing their best, but making Lattes or Cappuccino’s takes time so there will always be a wait, but worth waiting for as they are delicious. We also ordered brunch which came after a short wait and was very, very nice and really good value.

Amazing coffee, they always get hot drinks to the perfect temperature and amazing view of the pond to enjoy your food/ beverage. Although the main part of the cafe is clean and presentable the toilets are dirty. For a place that is always busy and has a lot of customers it would be advised that they have someone clean the toilets more frequently. It’s a shame that a place with so many pros be majorly impacted by one con.

The outdoor seating area is really dirty. There’s lots of litter and it’s all going into the lake. It’s really quite horrible.

The best bacon and egg roll! I love this place. Great vibe, beautiful calming setting and decor, you can sit outside at lots of tables and benches by the park pond which is beautiful, plenty of seating inside also if it's chilly out. The bacon and egg roll is perfect, crispy streaky bacon, and plenty of it! Beautifully orange yolked fried egg and delicious bread roll, it's honestly just how I'd make it at home. Cannot fault this place. Amazing cakes too, we had a brownie, which my American companion (who is an expert on these) loved! And an orange sponge cake, which was so fluffy and light, and the taste was unreal! Lovely cup of tea, and an orange juice which tasted of pure sunshine. Service is top notch, greated with smiles from the girls and guys behind the central counter, pleases and thank you's aplenty, and it just feels genuine! I've never had to wait long time for food or drinks to arrive and its consistantly outstanding! Will be back whenever I can, one of my favourites!

One big pile of rubbish on the edge of the lake for all the ducks and swans to choke on, zero environmental awareness. Good coffee, super long queues.

Being next to the waters in Battersea Park, I was expecting the cafe to be much nicer. Instead, it was just like any other park cafes, except bigger. There were not many cakes, and very few vegan options.

Nice coffee, at a great location, looking over the lake. 2nd visit (today) was better than the 1st (yesterday) customer service isn't great, but today the gentlemen serving was a lot more polite. Dog friendly which is great as a dog owner. Would visit again

Great café. Fantastic place to go for breakfast. Very popular with dog walkers though which makes it a little loud inside.

We do like this place.. Beautiful setting, particularly in the summer.. Quite dog friendly inside and out. They do these beer gardens in the summer which is quite nice, with music etc. Unfortunately there aren't many vegan options though- hence the one star less. They used to have more but have modified the menu to be less vegan friendly 😒

It’s a nice venue inside the park but the food was mediocre. Steak sandwich had some low quality steak with all the fatty bits left on, and the garnish wasn’t tasty.

Great place to work, although it gets quite loud during the day come early to get a spot, the coffee is great and the atmosphere is lovely. Also great for a afternoon beer.

I had fish wrap really delicious. My friend had the lentil salad. By the lake with a nice view. Free WiFi.

Terrific experience, my food is always of a high standard and well presented. There is always a friendly face, whether I’m at the desk placing my order, collecting my coffee or receiving food at my table. Pear Tree Battersea Park is a great spot. Highly recommend!

October 2023 Still excellent food. £11 for 2 poached eggs with bacon. October 2022 Really great quality food, well cooked, nicely presented and typical London prices. £14 for a nice steak sandwich - very filling and I didn't need dinner that day.

A horrible cafe. Toilets are a disgrace. Staff indolent. Long queues. Unpleasant atmosphere throughout. It needs a complete refurb and better staff training. This should be the jewel in this beautiful park and it isn’t!!

You come 15mins before closing time and they won't making any coffee as they close soon, big joke...

Pear Tree is a lovely cafe located next to the Victorian bandstand on Clapham Common. We visited at the weekend for breakfast/brunch. We shared the scrambled egg on toast with a sprinkling of chives, sweet potato fries and the buttermilk pancakes. Everything tasted amazing, great ingredients. It was busy with families and groups of friends hanging out but the service was quick. It's an excellent cafe when the weather is sunny because they have many picnic style benches outside. Toilets are nearby.

Unfriendly staff and very poor quality of coffee. Also the bathrooms are pretty disgusting, and need refurbishing. Will not visit again.

Where to begin... the queues are enormous, the choice of food extremely limited and overpriced, staff are unfriendly and service very slow. When the food came out it was almost unedible. Sourdough toast so hard you could break your teeth on it, cold scrambled egg (a nuclear orange colour which was very off putting). Children's pasta a congealed mess and bacon was a thin string of fat. I will never return and would absolutely not recommend to anyone.

So this is one of those places that wants to grab more than it can actually handle. First thing you will notice is terrible service. You will stand in an endless queue to order expensive food which takes forever to prepare after you ordered. Then at some point you will realise the queue for the toilets which by the way are the filthiest I’ve seen around. The selection of food is not great either, nor is its quality which is mediocre. They have more tables than they can sustain, so you will have to shout for a conversation. On the way out you will notice the people who understandably could not put up with the toilet queue taking a leak in the nearby bushes. What more horrors you want?

Top place very busy very organised top vegan cakes had brunch today given the volume of customers have to say best scrambled Eggs I've ever had and topped off with maple syrup infused bacon.

This was a really nice spot to get breakfast and coffee. Came with our baby and there were plenty of high chairs. The food was honestly very good as well as the coffee. However about four hours after eating there my partner and I are both violently ill. Uncontrollably vomiting and bathroom trips for more than half the day. We don’t know if it was an off day but this has been the only thing we both ate today and had to drink as we went about days separately after breakfast.
