Probably the worst customer service we’ve had in London. Having a beautiful Sunday morning and thought this little cafe looked great for some coffees and a pastry. The 2 staff on are incredibly grumpy. Not even a “Hello” or anything. Don’t work in hospitality if you don’t like people..

Looks sweet and homey but unfriendly staff and so slow. Coffee was awful and pastries hard. Won’t be going here again.

Popped into Il Molino Cafe the other day and was chuffed to bits with the service. Aaqil, the top bloke behind the counter, whipped up a smashing special smoothie just for me. It was absolutely lush! The flavours were bang on, and it really hit the spot. Aaqil was proper friendly and had a right good natter with me. All in all, a brilliant experience. I’ll definitely be popping back for more!

It's a nice place but they are just sooooo sloooooow ... half of the times when I try to stop by to get coffee I have to give up after queueing for a while because they take so long to serve other customers

Il Molino offers a wide range of pastries and savoury options to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. Has a few tables outside as well as inside. Really enjoyed the pasteis de nata and staff was very friendly!

Not a costumer, but politely asked if I could use the bathroom. 10 min before closing while the shop door is widely open, I was told they are closed. I urgently needed to use the bathroom, and I think we all have been in the situation - Anyways, I was lied into my face that they were closed. I was standing in front of the counter, indoors - so can’t be closed

Cosy coffee in the center of Battersea. The few times i went, the team has been friendly. Coffee is good, pastries are not the best you can find in the coffees around. Prices are ok.

Place is small and could be a cute homey style place if it wasn’t just messy? The cakes were so mid but they do have a good selection - lemon drizzle is really wet and the peanut butter chocolate slice is kinda nice. Ordered almond chais and they were just warm, bland and not creamy

Love the feel of this place but take a look at the ‘spinach and cream cheese’ piadina I just bought for £5.50 to take away. I’ve had one bite and that is how much spinach went in it. What a total rip. If I hadn’t driven home I’d take it back for a refund. Very disappointed.

In addition to the outstanding coffee, illmolino offers a selection of delectable pastries and light bites. I couldn't resist trying the almond croissant, and it exceeded my expectations. Freshly baked and flaky, it paired perfectly with my flatwhite the guy over there deserve special commendation for their friendly and attentive service. he was knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing their love for coffee. The attention to detail, from the presentation of the drinks to the cleanliness of the space, further enhanced the overall experience.

The coffee is very rich and smooth. Somehow the taste seems familiar, but is a lot more delicate and refined. It is comforting and even addictive, every sip was just lit …really loved it !! Aqil and the tesm are fantastic, stellar every time!

Had the aubergine and mozzarella focaccia (Rostico) the bread was nice and fresh but unfortunately the sandwich missing flavours. Had chocolate and lemon cannoli which was good and crunchy. Good customer service

Great little cafe - delicious cappuccino and apricot croissants (they go quickly!). Tiny, atmospheric, friendly staff, you can sit outside under an awning in any weather. Very chilled.

I just had the worst lunch ever I was looking forward to go to “il molino” as I haven’t been there for a while. I just came out from there from my lunch now and I had the worst service EVER. I was so normal and polite - and this new “worker” there had it for me… first she gave me a cold lasanha - I didn’t complain as I could not bother. Then I decided to have a coffee and cake - then I stood up to collect them and she literally passed by me with the cake and put it on my table. When I went to pay the bill, she literally said £14,80 and walked away …. At that moment I asked to talk to the manager .. as I was observing she was very polite with everyone else … but SUPER DUPER TRIPLE RUDE towards me …. And I have no idea why. When talking to the manager he apologised and said “it was her accent” I didn’t notice any accent, apart from her rudeness and I wonder how on Earth people work like that: bad temper and so miserable. I’m certainly not coming back, as there are plenty of other places around to eat. 🙏

I ordered a coffee yesterday it was not good enough, I was not satisfied by the customer service but then a guy came to me and apologised , offered me another coffee which was really good .. please train your baristas to make proper coffees for all the coffee lovers in Battersea ..Thanks overall I am satisfied 👍 will visit again ..hopping to see the improvements in customer service

Bought a sandwich and the ratio of filling to bread wasn't good. 2 bites and it was dough overload. Had to take it home to fill it.

First of all the girl who served me looked at me as if I was some sort of beggar (likely because I was wearing a head covering and traditional clothes?!?) and had a very bad attitude. She changed her attitude completely for a white customer (racist much?!?). Secondly the food was very average. I ordered a falafel wrap which was dry as bone and tasted stale. The spinach lasagne was very average because it was completely tasteless and also was lukewarm in some parts and sizzling hot in others. Will never go again!

I'm in Wandsworth each 4-5 weeks and have been here each time for the last year or so. The order has always been the same: a black Americano, a 'Pastel da Nata' (Portuguese egg custard tart) plus a flapjack to take away. Coffee is excellent and this is one of only a few places that sells "genuine" Pastel (I worked in Portugal for close to a year so can tell the difference). They also sell a wide range of sandwiches, paninis, cakes and light meals. There are a few tables and chairs inside and outside. There's a lot going on and the cafe is popular - always busy - and with lots of offerings available early in the morning they clearly have a high turnover. That said, it is rather cramped and has a somewhat quirky/ disorganised feel. Service sometimes a bit slow but always friendly and efficient in my experience. With the above in mind I had wondered about the Food Standards Agency Hygiene Rating which is very important to me. The last review was in March 2022 with a rating of 5/5, the top mark. Excellent. The single toilet is clean but small and dated. Overall I could imagine that they would like a lot more space; might a move to larger premises be the answer?? I'm surprised to read a really mixed bag of reviews on TA. There are almost as many 1 star 'Terrible' reviews as there are 5* star 'Excellent' ones!! But there are only 46 reviews in total with just one in 2022 and none in 2021. More are needed. This isn't a multi-star restaurant and there are no pretensions to be so!! But having spend a good time here on each visit my view is that they are trying hard and have built up a good local following. My very limited purchases have always been very good.

I’m a big fan of II Molino. The staff are lovely, and it was a god send during lockdown. The coffee is equally as good, as well as the pastrys and food. The iced mocha is very good! I’m local to Battersea, and I have to say it’s the best coffee place around. A little expensive these days, but it’s well worth a visit (or three)

Solid pastries. Awful cappuccino- I threw it away. Had walked out or would have make them make it again. Was boiling - must have used hot milk. Not enough coffee for the three litres of milk (could probably be fine if there was much less milk) 100% worth training your staff on how to make coffee you have such great potential as it looks like such a nice place!

Alloggiavo in zona, e sono entrato piu' per curiosita che altro. Cmq per la colazione direi che sembeava quasi di stare in italia, abbiamo preso 2 Cappuccini e assaggiato qualche dolcetto nulla di particolare ma tutto molto buono! Consigliatissimo per fare una bella colazione. 👍

Visited at weekend, decent coffee and sausage roll was tasty and well seasoned. One off putting issue was there is display of delicious looking pastries but they are situated in front of till where people queue up to pay so are reaching and talking over them which put me off from ordering one. I wish cafes would cover up food on display.

Great food, Incredibly friendly staff, so-so coffee. Staff always willing to chat and serve with a smile. Their fresh made food is great, although the coffee aint the best compared to other local cafes... But perhaps when your spoiled with so many good cafes in the area you just get a lil snobby xD

Please could you change the position of the pastries which are on open view. They are placed at waist level. I have seen a large dog with his nose against them. Also a lady with a wet umbrella swinging against them as well as overcoats brushing against them. Most cafes have food displayed behind/under glass or placed higher up on a counter. It is a real turn off and unhygienic. Otherwise this is a great neighborhood cafe.

I enjoy the coffee here- i think its one of the best cappuccino i have ever had. Very friendly staff and every 10th coffee is free. Lots of outside seating. Many sandwiches, pasta dishes, fresh juices, and pastries. Nice vibe.

A lovely little cafe. Its does great coffee and cakes, especially the vegan banana brownie. They are amazing!!! Defintely recommend this place.

We stopped in yesterday for a sausage roll, cappuccino and tumeric latte. Together it came to an eye watering £10. The coffee was lovely but the tumeric latte tasted like boiled milk and the sausage roll was very bland and greasy. Would recommend for coffee but avoid the food.

Just passing by yesterday and needed something to keep me going. Love a sausage roll so I got one from here. I hesitated when I saw it was £3.90 for a standard sized roll. Went for it as I thought it must be good for that price....literally tasted of nothing. Mostly pastry and the sausage part i would describe as bland as you get. Super disappointing. Having read another review about the sausage rolls the owner says they are bought in from another bakery.

Good range of hearty salads e.g. lentil and feta, roasted root veg, grilled aubergine and pepper. Helpful service, very good antiCovid hygiene.

Visited this cafe, as I was out for the day in the area both seeing the Garden Centre nearby and walking on the Thames Path - a very nippy Sunday in late November. Everything was fine about the cafe, apart from the cost! I bought a Toasted Ham & Cheese Croissant, Small Cappuccino and a Jam Doughnut (which you could grab yourself via self-service). It cost £8.15 altogether which I felt was rather pricy - nevertheless food-quality wise, excellent and felt very Italian - also there was a small shop inside to purchase Italian products and a great variety of pastries/delicacies to buy. They only allowed 3 people in at a time - social distancing was managed well.

Underwhelming from start to finish. Long wait time, when we were eventually served we were given one coffee rather than two as ordered. Barista then claimed that we had only paid for one and then did not apologise when she realised she was in the wrong. Coffee over roasted and stale to top it off. AVOID

Tuve un servicio increíble de una señorita hoy, vine con mi familia, me recomendó probar la lasaña de ternera y el sándwich de pollo y la tarta portuguesa, todo fue increíble, sin embargo, la silla tenía un clavo que hizo un todo en mi corto, estaba un poco frustrada pero lo manejó muy profesionalmente y se disculpó y vino una vez más para disculparse por toda la familia. Todo fue increíble, además de las sillas y mesas un poco viejas. El nombre de la niña era suz, definitivamente regresaré. Gracias

The manager did not even have the common courtesy to apologise to me and my partner, and instead sent the waitress, who'd only started a week ago, to deal with the situation, whilst he sat outside having coffee with other customers. I'm shocked at the lack of food hygiene and perhaps even more so at the managers handling of the situation.

Went to this place as it is my local. Customer service was great, but my bagel was stale and salmon in it, brown and dry. Coffee was okay, but definitely not the best in the area.

An antidote to the hipster cafes close by, Il Molino is an honest little cafe (very little - sometimes cramped!) with pastries and cakes, sandwiches and good coffee and tea. I enjoy coming here to work, grab a coffee and watch the world go by.

With a slightly chaotic feel Il Molino offers a very good selection of sandwiches, try the chicken and pesto or the Brie with Speck. Good bread and coffee too. Charming staff and comfortable variety of seating.

Good cappuccino and pastel de nata.

God awful place to go. Food is on display for days on end and cakes covered in flies in the shop window. Staff are intentionally rude when you ask them something and whole place is covered in dust. Unfortunately I had to give x1 star as zero stars are unavailable. Truly hope this place closes down before someone becomes ill or council condemn it for food and hygiene violatons. UPDATE: loving the reply from this terrible place today. Their clearly NOT denying the hygiene problems and rude staff issues just tell me I'M the nasty person when it's obvious that instead of apologising they tell me not to visit the shop again. Speaks volumes to how this company operates. Please do yourselves a favour, read my other reviews and see how fair I am with other companies then read LL MOLINO replies to me. Disgusting.

Love this cafe, great if you are looking for coffee, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, salads, lasagne. Lots of people come in pairs and groups and chat but also no problem if you are on your own and want to grab a bite while doing some work.

Upon more recent visits, I have to say that the friendliness of the service has improved. The food is lovely, and the blended ice latte goes down a treat in the summer. Great that they open at 7am on weekdays as well. Very much recommended!

I came to one of your stores in Battersea earlier today and asked what you had available for someone with a nut allergy. The lady behind the counter suggested rice which I accepted and took away. When is started eating it, a few mouthfuls in, I realised my throat was starting to close up and my lips were puffy and I realised there were almonds in the rice. I could not go back to the store as I had to go home to get my treatment. I feel that the staff should know about allergies in each food and I find what happend unacceptable. It is extremely lucky I am not severely allergic, and felt that I should contact your company to ensure you are aware of this negligence with your food staff.

Such a lovely restaurant and the food is sooo good. I had the lemon drizzle cake and it melted in my mouth. I came a wee bit late because I thought they were open, and they were so friendly and served me and didn’t make it seem like a burden. Will definitely be back!

Portions are very small and not value for money. And the food is really below average. I had lunch and then had to go and buy a sandwich!!

Personale gentile e sorridente ed educato, caffè buono anche i cappuccini, è un luogo dove mi fermo volentieri a fare colazione, sarebbe perfetto con una piccola ristrutturazione bagno compreso e fare più cose tipiche italiane insieme a quelle inglesi che non considero nemmeno cibo a londra che però secondo me da mulino non sono male ma io non ho il coraggio, 😁. È una fortuna avere un posto vicino casa per fare colazione 😁
