Pavilion Cafe in Aberdeen City

Excellent service from entering the cafe , always met with a smile and speedy service. Huge choice of meals all marked up regards allergens which is great .

Never knew they could make cones so small. Two waffle cones cost 9.00 and are the smallest portion of ice cream I have ever had. Yes it’s on the beach but so is aunt Betty in Stonehaven. In contrast 10.00 gets u cones three times the size easily with flake and added sweets. No comparison whatsoever hence I would rate this Pavillion at 1 out of 10. Rip off !!!!!

Stopped off for some whippy 99s. Nearly £7 for an ice cream 😳 that frankly was unpleasant at best 🤢 and went in the bucket. Go somewhere else.

We went in past for a bite to eat, when we looked through the menu we could not believe the prices they were charding, this is a cafe not a restaurrant, we had 3 fish and chips with soft drinks, yes we got a good portion size but to be honest we would have been cheeper goin to the Cove Bay Hotel for the same meal and drinks. Please look at the prices.

We stopped for lunch after walking the prom. The Mince, tatties and skirlie was absolutely delicious and every bit as good as homemade. The Cullen Skink was rich and creamy with chunks of smoked fish and came with a sandwich option. Egg mayo, beautiful. All served by friendly staff in a bright, spotlessly clean cafe. Might be a bit more pricey than other Prom cafes but the portions were huge and of first class quality. Worth every penny!

Third time here whilst visiting Aberdeen. A great menu to choose from, food is top quality with lovely efficient staff. A very welcoming place and if you’re local or visiting get yourselves along👍

We happened to walk past this cafe today and saw a sign for homemade mushroom soup, we decided to stop And have lunch - we were not disappointed- the food was lovely. We had the mushroom soup with a sandwich and a panini - it was so tasty - would thoroughly recommend. Staff were very friendly.

Visiting parents in Aberdeenshire and decided to take a visit to the beach. Came across this cafe whilst walking and got last free table outside in the sunshine. Young man who served us was extremely polite and friendly. Owner was working, serving and clearing tables - also very friendly and welcoming. Was surprised to see some bad reviews when coming on here. Unsure if they have changed staff since those reviews but we experienced a very pleasant lunch today in terms of service and quality of food. We will be back, would recommend!

My husband and I stopped in past this favourite cafe with our two granddaughters. To our surprise, we were told the children couldn't have ice cream in the cafe. I explained we were having cake and coffee too. The lady said it didn't matter, they couldn't have the ice cream. No apologies, no explanation why, just a definite no. We decided to go to a nearby cafe, who happily served ice cream to the girls and we had our coffee and cake. Sorry to say we won't be back to the Pavilion.

Very overpriced chips that they couldn't even be arsed peeling. Before frying. Charged £5.00 for chips. Rudely dismissed after asking for condiments. You would think we where asking for their first,born child. £2.00 for can of juice. It's a rip off. Very rude manager and server. Manners cost nothing. Will never return . Anyone thinking of going here go next door better price and better management. I will leave it there.

We always have the steak pie, it's delicious, and the staff are very friendly. We also tried the calzone and pizza, as well, just as good as any Italian restaurant in town. good choice of ice cream too.

Far cheaper than The Pier next door and the eggs Benedict was lovely as was my partner’s cooked breakfast. It’s a fry-up but not dripping in grease like a lot of cheaper cafes. Cafe is a bit cold due to the door being left open but we would definitely come back based on the food and the price.

I watch a man be very rude to a young toddler about her order it was shocking ends up the man was the owner absolutely shocking , even the rating I have gave is too much , avoid at all cost!

Please avoid! After being told to order some things inside and then the ice cream outside, the man serving had an issue with what my 4 year old daughter had asked for her ice cream (chocolate on the bottom and vanilla on the top) he was then arguing that it didn’t matter and had an absolutely horrible attitude to my family members when asked what the issue was. I then went inside to ask for the manager and was horrified to learn that actually the man was the owner. I absolutely will not be back and will ensure to tell everyone I know to avoid at all costs! Sadly like other reviewers I wish I had seen the reviews first!

Owner’s attitude is a complete joke, avoid at all cost. Extremely rude and disrespectful to women and babies that just wanted to sit down and enjoy their ice cream. As soon as the owner handed ice cream to our two toddlers he told us to leave in a very rude way even though we bought ice cream inside the cafe and proceeded to the table. We were simply kicked out with ice cream melting all over our young children covering all of their and ours clothes. We would have not bought ice cream if there was no tables, but apparently ice cream is take away only. No one told us this and there was no sign anywhere and we were only told this after children had ice cream in their hands. We tried to return ice cream as children are too young to eat it on the go but we’re told to pay and go away. We were so disappointed we just had to bin it and leave as we were pointed at the door multiple times and screamed at for trying to sit down or use bathroom to clean kids from their ice cream. Place is dirty and stinks, so maybe it’s for the best we had to leave. I’d not trust them with anything with an attitude like that. Avoid if you can. We can now see there are lots of other reviews of the same experience. wish we checked reviews before going.

Avoid chef/manger eating behind the counter while giving creepy glances towards my 12 year old son. Food was greasy and toughened. We left fairly quick as the weird vibes the owner showed my son was unacceptable.

There is a reason this cafe is 362 out of 390 in Aberdeen. The rudeness of the owner and quality of food. I do not mind paying more for good quality food but it was awful

On a chilly Monday afternoon in March, several of the beach cafes were closed, but the Pavillion was open and doing a reasonable trade. Prices are on the steep side. Service is quick but not especially friendly.

I was looking for something warm as it was cold day, finally my kids decided to get some chips. I asked how much cost, I was told to look for somewhere at the board. Cafe wasn’t busy so we thought maybe we can ask if we can stay inside as it’s cold. I was told that I paid for takeaway so I must go. Spending £10 for 2 packs of chips (which is quite a lot for just a chips) and there is no mercy, you are not allowed to be in. From other occasions my daughter was there by herself and she also heard loud rude polish speaking comments which probably staff feels quite relax, that no one can understand but I think they forgot that there might be Polish customers too. I won’t recommend and we won’t be back there!

The people was sat watching me whole I was trying to eat they chargers me 7.50 for cans cola witch I think it's really wrong like I would say and rush u for chosong aswell I do not recon this place

Great place, plastic drop barriers between each table, sanitizer etcfast friendly service,tasty fresh food, a great breakfast and decent coffee.I was served by one wee lass who was working harder and faster than all other staff combined, while remaining friendly and helpful.. Miss Phimpha deserves praise and a raise #pavilionCafeBosses ;)

Possibly the best breakfast food in the whole of Aberdeen. Great sea views. Great food. Good price. Perfect for any occasion. Good section of non breakfast food too. Perfect.

Have stopped at the pavilion for many years after our walks along the beach and often picked up an ice cream . Sadly they seem to have changed their brand , the one they now sell was just awful . Will not return .

Really enjoyed our takeaway chilli n chips from the pavillion cafe today, they forgot the cheese but it was so tasty we didnt mind. As a chilli lover for me it was ace not overly hot but not too bland either very tasty.so yes I would recommend it

Everything on the menu is very overpriced!! They don't even serve tap water, which is a disgrace. Would not recommended, avoid.

£4.99 for a bacon roll on the seaside should tell all you need to know. Very expensive, and I wouldn't have said it was worth it either as the bacon itself was greasy and the roll, although warm, had too much butter. They don't serve tap water either so be prepared to spend £2.75 (!) on a bottle of water if you want some. Instead, we got two glasses of "fresh" orange juice, although in actuality it was straight out of the carton, for £2.50 per glass. Easy money I tell you.The lady that served us was short with us, offering no hint of customer service or smile. The one that took our money was decent enough, managing at least a "have a good day" at us as we left. Overall, though, it left a lot to be desired, and, for the price, it was disappointing.

Visité hoy a la esquina de comida para llevar arcoiris whippy. Pedí dos helados y fueron horribles. El hombre que servía (que luego descubrí que era el gerente) claramente ni siquiera sabía cómo usar la máquina correctamente y pasó la duración de nuestra interacción gritando a otros miembros del personal que lo reemplazaran. Visita de pesadilla absoluta hoy.Simplemente hacer un pedido muy simple de 2 conos batidos con hojuelas fue una pesadilla, ya que me preguntaron repetidamente qué sabor, tipo de cono, etc.El asistente luego manejó los conos y las escamas sin guantes ni evidencia de higiene de manos. Went in for lunch and the Cullen skink soup was really nice, the white coffee was amazing and the staff there were friendly.

Never have I had an experience like this. Bog standard food, took an age to get our drinks, staff couldn’t be bothered. My godmother found part of a plastic straw in her coffee which she nearly choked on, which the manager then accused us of putting in there ourselves; saying that “they get a lot of customers doing things like this”. Incredibly rude, told us then to leave and I will never be back. Used to love this cafe but clearly its under new management and its very sad to see. No wonder it was half empty on a sunday morning. Don’t go, loads of amazing cafes along the promenade

Vine con mi hermana y mi sobrino para que nos llevaran comida, esperé de 15 a 20 minutos con el personal mirándonos pero nadie nos sirvió y éramos los únicos esperando. Le pregunté a la dama si alguien podría servirnos y me callaron y me dijeron que esperara. Cuando finalmente nos sirvieron, la señora hablaba muy poco inglés y nadie vendría a ayudarnos. ¡No volveré otra vez!

Disappointed to be told that they don't serve tap water and we would have to buy bottled. Assuming it is a money making thing rather than a water quality issue but frustrating that it encourages single use plastic unnecessarily. Food was good - enjoyed Cullen skink and an all day breakfast between us.

I usually have a very good 'all day breakfast' here but decided to try one of their panini's which was very disappointing. Very dry chicken with sliced 'mozzarella' which I actually think was just cheap sliced cheese. The staff were lovely, as always,but it didn't make up for the food.

The food is fresh, tasty, hearty, treat food that you can really enjoy. The staff are so proud of their food and passionately serve to give a warm welcoming experience. Overlooking the beach. Highly recommended.

Staff refused access to family with guide dog. Leaving the girl in tears outside the cafe. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and illegal. Lost a customer. Very upset after this.

We bought takeaway cakes and when we got home and started eating them it was obvious the cakes had been sitting for a few days. The cream had gone hard and was not nice. Will never buy anything from there again

We popped in for lunch and having been here ages ago we knew what to expect , however it seems to have new owners. Very nice & friendly waitress took our order quite quickly and the food arrived promptly but not too quick ! Food was really good & freshly cooked. Decent pot of tea that actually gave me 3 cups out of it. Really nice cafe / definitely be back .

I was eating here when a lady and her guide dog was refused entry by law you are not allowed to deny them entry, the dog was no problem was a nice calm dog with it being a guide dog. I hope this lady and her family reported the pavilion for this: I have been a customer for years at this restaurant but I will be taking my money else where from now on as this is not acceptable I hope they apologise to this women and her family, hopefully they will be fined for this

On a short break to Aberdeen, we visited this cafe almost every day. The ice-cream is superb, the breakfasts are fantastic and the pretzel lunch rolls are delicious. The two young waitresses were very sweet and friendly and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed and nice. If you're lucky you get a beautiful sea view from the tables near the window. If you're vegetarian there are some great options especially the pretzel roll with veggie sausages, hash brown and veggie haggis. Delicious! Wish we lived closer so we could visit again more often! Thank you for making our short holiday even more special.

Had a walk down at the beach yesterday and decided to pop into the pavilion cafe for breakfast as I was getting hungry. Managed to get a seat near the window which looks out onto the sea and was promptly attended to and ordered the full monty.

Estuve aquí hoy con mi familia y rechazaste a alguien con un perro guía, lo cual es ilegal. Estaban muy disgustados y avergonzados, y nosotros también vimos que tal horror sucediera, especialmente porque había asientos disponibles. He encontrado el Pavilion Cafe muy bueno para la comida y el servicio anteriormente, pero ciertamente no volveré si discriminas a las personas de esta manera.

This place has gone downhill since last lady in charge left. To top it off the staff had a customer reduced to tears when she was refused entry with her guide dog today. One male member of staff tried to tell supervisor this was wrong and he was told to 'be quiet'. The manager was not there today but this needs to be looked at. Will not be back. Avoid avoid avoid!

Dejé a mi hija (12 años) y a sus 3 amigos en este café a principios de esta semana específicamente pidiendo que se sentaran ya que el cielo estaba muy gris y estaba a punto de llover. Estaba en Asda, así que me dirigí al café. Entré en la tienda y le pregunté a la asistente que si ordenaba helado, ¿podría comer adentro, a lo que ella respondió que sí! Entonces pregunté por qué mi hija y sus amigas habían pedido que se fueran. El dependiente de la tienda fue muy amable y aconsejó que si las chicas ordenaban helado en el mostrador de comida para llevar, no podían comer, pero si ordenaban en el mostrador del café, podían hacerlo. También dijo que si pagaban 20 p extra podrían comer adentro. Aconsejé al asistente que, aunque las niñas tenían 12 años y solo ganaban confianza para comer solo, yo, como adulto con mucha experiencia en comer fuera, no habría conocido las reglas de los 2 mostradores. El asistente se disculpó, así que llamé a las chicas para que explicaran. En este punto apareció el gerente y desde el principio fue agresivo y discutidor. No había entrado en el café con este propósito y, por lo tanto, había intentado varias veces explicar la situación en la que salimos del café para evitar conflictos. Estaba extremadamente perturbada y las chicas estaban comprensiblemente sacudidas. En el futuro, el café debe aclarar sus reglas, ya sea mediante la señalización adecuada o avisando a sus clientes antes de la compra si no pueden comer en el café. Vine a Pavilion para almorzar y tomar un café, mientras trabajaba en mi computadora portátil. Food is consistently good, service reasonably quick, cost very competitive. It can get more than a little hectic, and warm, inside during busy periods which is pretty much all the time the sun is out or it is raining, but that's most of the time in Aberdeen.

Cuando llegó nuestro pedido de papas fritas, la oímos gritar a otro miembro del personal que tenía que echarnos porque nos habían entregado en un recipiente para llevar sin haber especificado que queríamos comida para llevar, el razonamiento que nos dio el miembro del personal fue que lo harían ¿Necesita el espacio si los clientes reales entraron? ¿Cómo pagar nosotros por alimentos y bebidas no nos convierte en clientes reales? ! ? También sorprendió que necesitaban expulsar a 2 personas por espacio cuando el lugar era prácticamente árido. Decepcionado. Grosero. Manager es una vaca y no debería estar trabajando en el servicio al cliente si está dispuesto a tratar tan mal a las personas, tanto al personal como a los clientes.

Acababa de venir de A&E;, ya que me rompí los ligamentos de mi tobillo, un amigo y yo decidimos pasar por la playa en busca de papas fritas, cuando me sirvieron (me atendió el pesebre), ella me dio un segundo para ordenar tal como estaba tener una conversación mientras servía (lo que hizo que ella tomara mal el orden de mis bebidas) se encontró con algo brusca y abrupta. Acababa de venir de A&E; y necesitaba sentarme mientras esperábamos la comida. Si el gerente no me hubiera ignorado prácticamente mientras me servía, sabría que no me iba a quitar. Cuando la comida estuvo lista, el gerente la dejó de nuevo en la pequeña mesa frente a la caja para que yo pudiera recogerla, cuando me vio regresar a la mesa con nuestras bebidas y papas fritas, ella gritó a una de las camareras diciéndole su comida para llevar debe sentarse afuera o irse, la camarera se acercó muy torpemente para decirnos que teníamos que dejar que la camarera fuera muy educada, pero me sentí muy mal por ella porque se veía tan avergonzada que su gerente básicamente nos echó (estaba vacío allí) solo 3 mesas ocupadas). No molestábamos a nadie, pero mi amigo y yo nos sentimos aislados y no regresaremos a este establecimiento.

Mi hija y yo fuimos al pabellón a almorzar, comimos la hamburguesa de pechuga de pollo a la parrilla, pedí a mi hija tal como se describe en el menú, pero odio el pepino y pedí que se omitiera, la camarera enseguida dijo que no había problema. te gusta la cebolla en su lugar? La comida llegó muy rápidamente ya que solo teníamos 30 minutos y era encantadora, abundante ya un precio razonable. Lo que odio de estos cafés son los cubiertos baratos, pero el pabellón tiene buenos cubiertos sólidos, no como su vecino que perdió nuestro negocio por esta misma razón. Bien hecho pabellón y camareras buen trabajo bien hecho.

Habíamos estado en el salón de baile en la playa para el concierto NHS Clic Sargent Carol el domingo 09/12/2018. El concierto fue muy concurrido. El concierto terminó a eso de las 16. 30 horas.

He probado unos cuantos desayunos y el Pavy siempre cumple, no estoy seguro de por qué pruebo otros lugares, este es el mejor lugar para ir.

Gran lugar para un descanso mientras camina el paseo marítimo de Aberdeen. Nos sentamos afuera para seguir disfrutando del aire del mar. Si quieres sentarte adentro hay mucho espacio para los días de tormenta. Grandes bollos y daneses para lavar mi americano.

Aberdeen seafront can be a cold unwelcome place. Just pop in here for a warn welcome, good service and excellent food. I had Cullen skink. Very tasty and good value for money.

Servicio rápido y educado, y el mejor rollo de tocino en años. Recién cocinado, 3 lonchas de tocino crujiente y panecillos tostados con mantequilla derretida generosamente. Una gran taza de té para 2 en lugar de esas pequeñas teteras sin sentido para uno. Precio razonable también. Bonitos cuencos de agua limpia para los perros también.

Este es, sin duda, uno de mis lugares favoritos de Aberdeen. En un día como hoy, hacia el final del verano con una brisa cálida que sopla y cielos despejados, es el destino perfecto para el desayuno, seguido de un paseo por la playa. El personal es amable y cordial. Su gran café con leche es muy generoso y viene con una olla igualmente generosa de leche humeante y humeante. Los espacios de estacionamiento para discapacitados están al otro lado de la calle, por lo que este también es un buen sitio para el acceso.

This is a wonderful place to have an excellent bacon butty and do some people watching on the beach front in Aberdeen. The bacon butty certainly beats other cafes in the area in terms of price and amount of bacon. The hot chocolate with mini marshallows is a great treat. Not to be missed. Oh and try a 'clam' at the little icecream shop window. You won't be disappointed.

Decided to try this place out as we had never been before. I noticed out the corner of my eye that the chef was picking chips out of the deep fat fryer and eating them with bare hands, my 11 year old nephew also noticed this, then to our disgust he leant over and picked some peas off a plate that was awaiting more hot food to go out to a customer. Then he started ramming in more chips, and then got his phone out, this was in full view of all the customers. He then went in to the fridge and opened a can of Fanta and started drinking it.

Food was alright. Only grumble we have was that we recieved our cakes before out sandwiches, which was a tad strange. We did ask if they would mind popping them back in the fridge to stop them melting (as it was one of the rare roasting days) only to be told no, the fridge was full.

Won't be rushing back. As with so many places around here; very poor value. Homemade pancake £3.99 with fake, phoney,maple syrup. Cullen skink stank to high heaven...eeek. my sandwich was mediocre, at best. Pricey, which I don't mind if it's good but this was awful.

Husband said it was one of the best breakfasts he'd had in a while, high praise indeed from someone who's pretty hard to please. My fried eggs in a bun were very good, too. Extremely good value for money & staff are just a delight. May well become our 'go to' place at the beach.

A nice little spot for some hot drinks. Good coffee and hot chocolate with a range of cake and ice cream options available. Nice view of the sea from cafe and cosy atmosphere.

Dropped in for a lunchtime bite. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. But the star attraction is their lovely creamy Cullen Skink, packed full of delicious fish and served with lightly toasted crusty bread. Outstanding taste and value.

Sumptuous creamy deluxe version of Cullen Skink. Wholesome, filling and tasty- we both loved it. Didn't try any other dishes so can't vouch for that but pleasant atmosphere and smart interior.

There is a specials board outside this cafe so I pretty much knew what i was going to have before I went in. I didn't get a window seat but still managed to see out to the beach across the road where the tide was rolling in. I ordered smoked haddock fish cakes with a cheesy filling, and there were two fish cakes on the plate, along with some chips and a generous amount of salad with a little bowl of tartare sauce. This was quite a substantial portion, but I managed to clean my plate and enjoyed it very much. The staff were fast and efficient, always clearing away plates and cleaning tables, and the Thai lady who was at the till asked if I had enjoyed the meal, which I had. For £8.50 that was very reasonable. The specials also included Thai red curry, mince and tatties and something else I can't remember. The main menu was quite extensive. There was a draught of cold air when the front door opened, but it was a windy day. All in all worth a return visit.

The service is great at this place. I can say that. I might go back for dessert but not other food. Was hoping for better. But, I did try Irn Bru for the first time here. Sorry Scots I'm not sure what you see in...

For friendly staff, good food with a wide variety of menu, the Paviion cafe takes some beating. Try the freshly made large pancake topped with bacon slices and a jug of maple syrup - delicious! Or if that is too sweet for you bite into...

We popped in to this lovely cafe in mid April 2017 for a lovely lunch. Tasty baguette and toasties served with a smile and piping hot. Delicious and reasonably priced.

Gran Café. Un servicio encantador! El personal es muy amable y muy simpático! Sin duda merece la pena una visita!

Disfruté mi pescado y patatas fritas, pero el café era sosa y onu interesante. También tuve un batido, que era demasiado dulce. Su ubicación es muy agradable si hace sol.

Visitamos aquí con mi novio después de un agradable paseo por la playa de Aberdeen y conseguimos sentados enseguida, una camarera muy agradable, nos entregaron rápidamente menús y optó por su desayuno durante todo el día y yo, su Misa del Gallo y tatties. Nos dimos nuestro pedido a una camarera que parecía querer ser en ningún otro lugar, que era bastante desagradable por lo tanto la pérdida de 1 estrellas, la comida llegó rápidamente y era muy sabroso y abundante. Además los precios eran fabulosos, sin duda lo recomendaría!

Stopped here for lunch after visiting Fittie village. Miserable day but were greeted cheerfully by the staff. Sat us down and took our order. Food plain but good and our waitress was very nice and helpful. I had the all day breakfast (without baked beans which I despise) Place was warm (great on such a cold wet windy day). We stopped by here for an early lunch. The location is great just by the beach front promenade, with tables both inside and out. We were there circa 1145 on a Monday and it was full.It is a cafe so it's order at the till point rather than table service. We ordered steak pie and chicken /avocado / bacon salad. I appreciate that you don't go to an establishment like this for the service, however I was very surprised at how I was treated. The "manager" (I'm assuming as she was the only one serving and not in uniform) snapped at me when I asked the staff making the drinks, if I could have a slice of lemon. She barked; "I take your order, if you want something you speak to me only". Not only was this very abrupt, it was extremely condescending to the member of staff. The staff member handled the situation with dignity and explained that he'd already asked a colleague for a slice of lemon and it was under control. The food itself was lovely! The steak pie came with sauce that was not too salty, as can often be the case. Lots and lots of steak! The salad was delightful. Great dressing and combination of flavours. Ok place to go to if you can turn a blind eye to the treatment of staff. The non management staff all appeared to be students who were very friendly and professional. For dog walkers, I also noted that they had metal bowls and outside tap that dog owners were using to give water to their dogsAlso if you choose to sit outside (as we did) don't sit at the table in front of the ice cream window. On a nice day there's a queue of people buying ice cream to go and it's very noisy, distracting and a lot of people kicking you chair by accident purely because there's not enough space.

Went for lunch yesterday. I had the Cullen and sink soup .and a sandwich The soup was great service very good. Price is good. And always very busyWhich is a great sign.

We stopped we for bit of lunch after a walk along the beach. And we had one of best lunches we have had in a long time. I had the treple decker sandwich and when it was piping hot was a treat and filled me up for the rest of the day. My partner the smoked haddock fishcakes which looked to be homemade and we're massive again food was pipping hot again left my partner full for the rest of the day and the bill came to £20 pounds with which was a really good value for money. Can't wait for the next walk along the beach

Fresh, quick, lovely service, I can never fault the food and service at the pavy, even on busy days, love it!

Went here for brunch the other day. We all had the cooked breakfast as we wanted something substantial. Breakfast was a huge let down. Everything was deep fried... Yuk!The food came up really quick which is good in one sense but then it's easy to realise that things are not cooked fresh to order.Bacon was extremely dry and had obviously been sitting for a long time, everything else was so greasy it was hard to eat.The jam for the toast was the cheapest jam portions also.... Staff were friendly but not worth going back for that!

Been here many times and I really enjoy the food every time we come, the ice cream is really good. The staff are usually fairly friendly and I like the atmosphere of the place, as it is small and cosy. Prices are like most places I would say, £8.50 ish for a burger and chips. They do mainly lunch type snacks like toasties, soups and sandwiches, but all of it is very nice.

Busy wee cafe, had to wait a while for food. Staff all nice and friendly, no real complaints. The busy road out front is a bit annoying. Would recommend for a bite to eat. Ice creams were amazing

CAFE is good a little cramped on the inside,service not what it used to be ,food still not got a complaint about that, nothing startling- but they will try and do it the way you want it. dont be put off by the scary looking bikers outside at the weekends they are all gents

Popped in to try this beach front cafe and was impressed. Traditional style cafe but oh so great selection of foods and goodies. The staff are very attentive and chat freely with the customers.Our selections of Cullen Skink soup and a cheese & onion toasted sandwich were first rate. And the large pot of tea was equally enjoyable. Very reasonable costs rounded off a great visit.Thank You

I visited today for lunch and was impressed. Quick, friendly service and the food was lovely. The only negative thing was that I got a lovely salad with my scampi and chips but was told they had no salad dressing which I thought was a bit odd. The views are excellent too.

I used to visit the Pavilion many years ago as a child so had fond memories of my many visits.The first thing I noticed that the small front windows have been replaced by a large window which gives a lovely view out to sea. The tables are still fairly crammed in just as I remembered.I visited for lunch with my mum and we both went for baked potatoes (tuna mayo and cheese) good portions and well presented. Service was prompt.The only downside was when we went to pay the bill we were charged someones elses bill £40 for 2 baked potatoes!! That aside I would still return as mistakes happen and our waitress was very apologetic.

Ended up here after poor service at Inversnecky. Very glad because the service is excellent and the food is very nice had the full monty and will be back for sure!! Thanks!!

I went for a stroll along the beachfront one Sunday with a friend and suggested trying Breakfast on the way back. Cafe was busy being Sunday lunchtime and the service was prompt enough despite it being full. We had "The Full Monty" minus the beans, and when the plate arrived the food was cooked just right , everything was cooked through and not covered in oil. Toast was perfect. Coffee was excellent, no complaints there at all. Worth visiting any time but especially so on a chilly January day where the food was much appreciated.

Open on 1st of Jan! Very friendly staff, restaurant very busy. Lovely home made soup on a cold day at the beach! We went there last New Year's Day too- could become a tradition!

Popped in for a light lunch; food (a hearty Cullen Skink) and service both excellent. Staff took the trouble to greet us as we entered despite being busy - sadly a courtesy lacking in so many places.

I can't speak highly enough of Aberdeen's Pavilion Cafe. A warm and friendly service greets all. The food is really good and, in my view, offers great value.

My wife & I popped in for our breakfast as we hadn't been in here for ages. Very friendly staff, good breakfasts & decent prices. Very clean premises. No WiFi though !

Massive let down today. My bacon was hidden under a dry slice of toast. When discovering it, it was just old pieces, couldn't even get it by my fork, must have been the left over by a previous guest. Disgusting! When pointing out to the Asian waitress, she was only sighing as if this problem doesn't seem to be new or if she didn't understand us. Ridiculous! Be aware, don't go there!

Is this under new managment?,,we were looking for some breakfast after a good stroll along the beach front,,most cafes were fullish and we passed the Pavillion and spotted a table so in we went,hadnt been in there for a long time,had a cuppa with a bacon and sausage softie with a side of black pudding(not very healthy lol) great waitress very quick and polite ,,order was down on the table soon after my wife had the scrambled eggs and said they were very good and mine was great.it was very busy and tables were taken right away...will most certainly go back again.
