Sooooo expensive £25 for 2 cod and 1 chips no way l think he must realise People can't and will not pay this money for fish and chips all l can say is BYE BYE you can see it coming this country. WoW

I can't rate anything because it's cash only, although Google says that card payments are also offered. A pity. Would have liked to eat something there.

What has happened to Paul's? There are huge signs all over this restaurant saying Chicken is off the menu. Then when I go to pay the man says we do not take credit cards any more Cash Only! Seems as if business is going down the drain. Well after 13 years of going here I will not be going again. Last time. :(

I brought chips and buns from, all the buns had gone off and mould all the buns. Never go here again, wouldn't even say sorry for poor standards of food that would mad us ill.

I’ve been meaning to do this review, Can I just say, such a cool guy whenever we go there he’s so down to earth, always up for a chit chat and has the greatest fish and chips in the area, the shop is always clean and the service is always amazing!!!!! Thank youuuu

I was looking forward to have fish and chips until the guy at the front with the beard started shouting at us when I couldn't understand what he said and asked him to repeat himself so we left. ZERO customer service.

Good size portion shame the chips were burnt savoly was warmed up in the microwave not in a dish just thrown in and warmed up Ate about 20 of the not so burnt chips and threw the rest away NOT A GOOD JOB NEED TO UP YOUR GAME Fishing net closed down keep this up and i think you will be next cooking chips is not that hard

Went to buy fish and chips on Friday evening. Ordered 2 large cod and 1 large chips - the chips were fine. In comparison to previous purchases at Paul's the cod couldn't accurately be described as large - at best one was small and one was medium (see attached photo). When clarifying that I asked for two large cod with the shop attendant - I was shut down with a comment telling me that they are both large. Had there been other customers in the shop - he probably wouldn't have tried to pass them off as large Cod. Won't be going back in a hurry.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I order fish and chips which is a traditional British meal, however my family begin to throw up and experienced very bad stomach pains to the point where I had to call an ambulance for my wife. It came to a conclusion that we had all suffered from food poisoning.

Fish and chips shop with worst pricing and taste. Selling Costco fried wings. Not even authentic . Most off all half cooked wings. When purchasing chips and wings for 5£, the shop employees looking and saying is that enough. For bloody wings and chips it's only 2.99 in any fried chicken shop. Worst Experience!!

Shocking. Rolls had green algae. Gone off. Showed the chip man and he didn't give a toss. Refund offered for the 2 bad rolls and not the meal. When spoken on the phone was incredibly rude and very obnoxious. Saying how he has the best reputation. Selling rolls gone off to the public isn't right. He thinks he can get away with it. I will be reporting this ego istic man to the Food agency.

Best fish & chips in west London. Always white fresh fish. Crispy batter, never burnt or too oily. Generous size portion. Too bad they have a high minimum order for delivery on just eats.

Don’t know how there are any reviews for less than 5 about this place. Best chippy for miles, top quality taste and the chip portion sizes are very few generous especially when compared to the competition. Just because the owner isn’t the most effervescent outgoing person doesn’t mean that he’s rude. It’s the quality of the food you go for, we’ve been going here for years and it’s not even our local chippy.

Had delivery and as a first time customer I was totally amazed! So many chips & I only ordered medium!... The cod was absolutely delicious, white throughout with spring rolls, EXACTLY like I used to get when I was a kid! Was on time and the food was hot. ❤

They are excellent, and although they didn't have the fish I usually have earlier this week, they ordered it in specially for me.

This is the place to go if you’re looking for an authentic Fish & Chips wrapped in paper. The Cod coated in nice thin and crispy batter is absolutely delicious. Look no further if you’re looking for the good old authentic Chipie.

The fish was very tasty, the chips were fresh. the staff was always courteous to me. The first time I went they even kindly allowed me to use the wifi as I completely run out of date. Its my go to place for fish and chips in the area.

We were looking for some decent fish and chips and this place showed up on Tripadvisor as being the nearest to where we were when visiting friends. We ordered for take away. As soon as we entered we were greeted by a horribly grumpy man with a definite attitude problem. Maybe he has less than desirable clientele visiting his establishment? Regardless that was no reason to show such rudeness to us, we were a family with young children. The service was so horrible that we actually felt like walking out after we had ordered. However we waited for the cod & chips. The cod was very good. Cooked well, tasteful and in a good batter. Sealed well, no holes and soft, slightly crispy batter; just right. The chips were average; some of the chips were undercooked, but mostly ok. Would I visit here again? Only if I was in the neighbourhood; I wouldn’t come here especially for the food. I’d also prepare myself with a bad attitude before arriving so lot to be offended.

Fantastic chippy, chips always fresh and tasty. I happily drive past 4 other chip shops on the way to Paul's Fish Bar. Also, we go to Paul's every Friday for lunch.

You can’t go wrong with this chippie it’s the best. We have visited quite a few times and every time it’s brilliant. You can eat in or take out. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

My 2yr old daughter found a fish bone (poked her in her gum) and the chips were bitter due to being fried in dirty oil. When called to complain, person rushed me off the phone and hung up on me saying they are busy.

Only ever had the chips and the sauces (curry + mushy peas) but the service is lovely and the portions are generous. ☺️ The chips are some of the best in the area

I couldn’t give minus rating otherwise that is my preference for this restaurant. Staff was so rude with customers while taking orders. I ordered fish and chip and paid for it. When the guy served me the food in take away container he was so rude so I left my food on counter and didn’t even ask for refund. He ruined my day. A BIIIIGGGGG NOOOOOOOO to this restaurant 😡

We had take out. The fries [chips] are not crisp. The fish is good. But it needs tartar or lemon/lime. They do not offer that either.

Ordered from this place this evening. I must say in 28 years this place has THE BEST kebab I’ve ever eaten! If you haven’t ordered from Paul’s on just eat! Then you’ve been missing out! Don’t delay! Order NOW!

Proper good quality chips and chicken wings, for a very good price. Might be small and unappealing on the outside, but I would reccomend for anyone reading to give it a go.

We always get our fish and chips delivered from Paul’s. It’s always hot and excellent quality. Delivery is usually way before the expected time too 😀

Stopped by for lunch in South Ruislip. Spotless clean. Great burger and chips and very cheap. Will try the fish and chips next time.

Cant believe how rude the man was. I ordered okay it was snowing but then be honest. I called he said it had been declined, so i asked whether he could still deliver he said yes. Then an hour later he called told me to come and collect it, I said I chose delivery he said "oh Okay I do it now then" then 35 minutes later my husband calls back and he says no I am not doing your order. he put the phone the phone down on me 3 times. he was rude and dismissive, i then had to go through hungry house for a refund after waiting 90 minutes for a delivery that never arrived

I drive past this place once a week. What a find! Food is fresh and tasty, service is friendly and very good value. Will be a regular stop for me from now on.

Tried once but cod was always cooked in advance and become soft, probably I should ask for freshly prepared one next time

Always moan after each time I have got chips from here, and chips is the only thing i would get as they are fried in boiling hot oils. Lol chips are always dry and hard like they have been there for days and then re fried. Service is poor and never smiles comes across rude. Snatched money from your hand. Don't bother going. An extra 2 mins past station is another Chippy much nicer. Recommended fishing net.

Been a customer for 18 years, have delivered once before, for order over £15 but deliver UB5 which is same distance but even though spent time taking full address when checked with manager refused! VERY disappointed

Paul's is the best fish and chip shop in Ruislip. They always deliver on or before the time expected and whoever delivers the food is always happy and chatty. Food quality is excellent and we've never had a bad meal from Paul's. 😀

Bad Service ...Ordered Fish and Chips for Delivery and took over 1Hour and 45 Minutes .also when it arrived Part of Order Missing and when I Phoned I was Told they are very busy so I requested a refund for the items missing not very helpful and told me to contact JUST EAT if I have a Problem with this...so I have Filed an Issue with them.....Hopefully I will get refund soon....try and avoid to order from here as I will not be .

Customer service could be better - took ages to serve waiting customers for the purposes of "cracking banter". Can't say the food was worth the wait either because the chips were incredibly dry and they tried to charge 20p for a tiny sachet of ketchup!

Used to do really nice fish and chips but the Council's Scores On the Doors rating of 1 out of 5 (Major Improvement Necessary) is too off putting to go back. Such a shame.
