Paul's Cafe Bedford in Bedford

When I visited, I was constantly pushed out of the way by staff and the manager, as well as delivery men. Maybe I didn't time my visit well, but it was fairly irritating. Nice coffee, in a proper large cup and saucer. Good location, quiet café, and average food and drink prices.

Had a great cup of coffee and the best bacon sandwich! Waiter very friendly and place is clean. Made sandwich just to my liking. Waiter asked if I wanted garnish which I hate and some places just plonk it on your plate! Will be going back there next time I am shopping in Bedford.

Good choice on the menu and we had a very good BLT sandwich and tea in the café. The bacon was freshly cooked; you can watch it cooking if you want to! Bread fresh and came with a large salad and coleslaw. Plenty of seating and toilets available. Friendly staff.

I had to sit down so I went in and had a lovely coffee and toast. It was fresh and the toast was served so I could butter it myself . I like my toast crisp and warm not soggy and it was perfect with jam. I think they were short staffed as I was apologised to for it being a bit late . I don't think a few minutes is too bad but they seemed to be a bit flustered by this. I've been for lunch too and all served within 10 mins of arrival very fresh and plenty . I had baked potato with cheese and coleslaw and it was good quality cheese and coleslaw . With a side salad all very reasonably priced. It's clean warm and friendly. The menu is also takeaway and I can recommend the french stick which is fresh baked so warm and cheese sort of melts into it along with fresh tomato very moreish. They seem to know their regulars and I was made welcome. I usually use takeaway but would go for sit down again.

this is a nice little place tucked away in an arcade.Staff are friendly, helpful and speedy.The food is fresh, well cooked and hot and reasonably priced...they do a good cup of tea but the cups are a bit heavy!I feel that the decor needs brightening up....brown,grey, beige...how about using a bit of bright colour and giving the staff coloured t shirts....and try some brighter lighting.Sorry to be so cheeky but the feel of a place is so important.

The food that I got for my money was so small and burnt and the potato was so hard the best thing about going to this cafe was leaving

Go in here 2 times a week ,and very friendly service food is cheap and excellent ,staff very friendly, and very helpful ,

Pedimos dos baguettes que estaban recién lleno y venía lleno de relleno y con una ensalada muy buena también, además a un precio muy razonable.El ambiente era muy tranquilo, aunque... realmente podría hacer con música ambiental o similares.Tipo de café comida típica pero bonito para el precio.

Incredibly friendly staff, very fast service, and great food and drink for an incredibly low price. Cannot recommend enough!

Hemos pasado aquí muchas veces y cansados hoy decidimos entrar para una taza de té. El personal fue maravilloso. Muy centrada en el cliente. Estuve tentado por los platos de pollo y elegimos estilo mexicano. Estaba muy bien servido con una ensalada crujiente y baguettes en el lado. Era muy bueno y muy abundante.Tengo dos veces desde entonces, he vuelto y tomado este plato lejos por mi almuerzo en el trabajo. Creo que es una buena relación calidad-precio, aunque en la versión para llevar ten en cuenta que no tienes la baguette, que me pareció confuso. Tienes que pagar un extra de £1?! (yo fui a Greggs y viga de 4 paquete de roll costra por el mismo precio) le dan lugar es una oportunidad, no te decepcionará.

I like this café, quick service and some good special offers e.g. tea/coffee and tea cake for a set price. lovely fresh sandwiches and a varied menu, reasonably priced.

Have been here twice now and the first time we came the service was good, second time we came it was slow and there was hardly any customers. Both times we have come here my other half had a bad stomach afterwards so now we know it is the food here we won't come back. We both had a chicken salad and the chicken was cubed rubbery catering processed chicken, it was revolting, no wonder they have to put sauces on everything to hide what is actually underneath. Unfortunetly was not the healthy salad I was hoping for.
