Its not called Pauline's pantry anymore its Sulivans nice people . Asked for large latte and cake Got regular latte and large cake Couldnt eat cake they gave me box bring rest home but sorry had to throw it away .only one choce GF . Dog friendly cafe now

Just popped in on the off chance yesterday with my daughter. Friendly staff, delicious food and lovely clean place. Highly recommended.

Lovely lady owner Pauline, home cooked food and cakes, polite and friendly staff, always best to book as does get busy , cash or card available. Free car park just round the corner from the doctors surgery or if your lucky just out the pantry.

We moved to Underwood 1 year ago we went down to Jacksdale for a wander round, we were recommend to Pauline's from the lovely lady at the gift shop. This recommendation was the best we have ever had, Pauline's welcome is nothing but lovely her staff are really friendly and always ready for a chat. The food is more than amazing, we are now regular visitors. I took my 7 year year old Grandson who had the Steak and Ale Pie, which was classed as a small portion, he absolutely loved it ate every bit then had pudding. We were all very full so also took deserts home, the Lemon Meringue has no words to describe it. Going to Pauline's is like going home to a good home cooked meal. She is an amazing lady deserves all the great reviews, if you have never been you are missing a treat. Also as a P.S you can purchase beautiful art work produced by a local Artist, we now have 3 pieces on display in our home. Thank you Pauline for making us very Welcome. Val and Malc .

Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.

My pal, a long -time local resident, took me to Pauline's today for lunch, and I was astounded and delighted in equal measure! Pauline has this place exactly right. It's quiet (NO PIPED MUSIC - HOORAY!), immaculately clean, warm and comfortable. The ambience is cosy and welcoming, and the staff are delightfully friendly and obliging. We had the steak and ale pie, and it was...quite simply...angel breath. As fine a pie as you'll find anywhere in the kingdom. We followed this with apple pie from the realms of glory, and were rendered profoundly content. We'll get nowt done this after noon, but who cares? Stunned with delight as we were, we fell back in amazement when Pauline showed us her Lemon Meringue pie. The menu says 'a mountain of meringue" and by golly it's spot on! Put away that boring work, switch off the daft TV, get yourself to Jacksdale and the comforting embrace of Pauline's Pantry at once. You'll regret it forever if you don't... For quality and value, I know of nowhere finer than this hidden gem. I'm only sorry I haven't been before now.

I really enjoyed having lunch at Pauline’s Pantry.I ordered the steak and ale pie and it was delicious.Melt in your mouth pastry and the meat very tender.We received a warm welcome.The service was excellent throughout and the place was spotless.It also had a nice atmosphere and plenty of room between tables.There is also a free car park nearby.I shall definitely be returning!

Nice food, but the proprietor knocked a glass of Bucks Fizz, which was on the table, over me, which spoilt the occasion. No compensation of any kind was offered, as you would receive in other decent restaurants. After years of trading and serving customers, I would have thought care would be taken with drinks on tables when serving customers. Very amateurish and not impressed. Even though the food was nice, it was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had.

What fantastic food we had at the restaurant, homemade food, top of my eating out places, clean with friendly staff, you got to try it, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely place to pop in for a bite to eat

Absolutely wonderful as usual. I had the chicken and leek pie with apple and raspberry crumble for dessert. I have never had a bad experience at Pauline's and always recommend it as somewhere to go. She also has room for wheelchair users as both me and another customer were easily accommodated which is rare in a small cafe!

Today we called into Pauline’s Pantry and had a full breakfast. The food was very good, plenty on the plate. Lovely service from the staff.

The food was lovely and we got it quickly! It was quite warm inside so me and my wife asked if we could eat our breakfast outside which the members of staff accomodated for us with a tableand chairs! Definitely would come again!

I have passed this establishment numerous times while out cycling, promised myself that I would visit. Really glad I did. Polite and friendly service, excellent food and you can park your cycles round the back. Well worth a visit. This is one of the smartest and cleanest cafes I've been in. Well done to the Owners.

1st visit to this lovely little eatery. Service was very good and staff really friendly. The meal was excellent, I had the home made ocean bake, daughter had the veggie tarte and they were delicious. Will be going again soon for sure 😊

Wow,wow,wow first time here and it was amazing,i had the egg mayo sandwich which was so fluffy,the bread was thickly cut just the way i like it. I then had a normal slice of lemon meringue after and this did not disappoint it tasted heavenly. I will most definitely go back here again.

Had Sunday lunch with friends. Pauline and staff extremely friendly. Adjusted menu to liking. Very clean. The meat unfortunately was a bit on chewy side for my taste. Gorgeous cakes and puddings. Would highly recommend.

What a wonderful find ! Stayed locally at a disappointing AirBnB which stated breakfast provided. Milk in fridge has gone off and no sign of host (still in bed.) Decided to check out and go in search of breakfast. Pauline’s Pantry is a wonderful find. Super clean, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly cooked, quality and super yummy. Whole place is clean and staff were super friendly and welcoming.

3 soaking wet walkers received a very hearty warm welcome here. Catered for my dietary needs, lovely food in unpretentious homely surroundings. A hidden gem with fair prices. Pauline is a delightful host and has created a brilliant business.

The most amazing service! Stopped off during a dog walk and before we had chance to enquire if they did take out, were offered a table outside at the back. The table was brought out for us, along with water for the dog and menus. Food was lovely (we had the vegetarian breakfast) and was served quickly. Will definitely be returning!

We arrived for a late lunch on a busy day when they were serving Christmas dinners to people who had booked tables. We still received good service and had some lovely soup and a sandwich. Would definitely go again.

I'm a support worker and called in with a lady I support. We received a warm welcome and the staff couldn't do enough to ensure we had everything we needed, reassuring us that we didn't need to worry about noise levels. This is like a breath of fresh air, as due to the lady I supports disability, she can become vocal and we have previously been met with negativity in cafes. We will definatly be returning. Coffee was lovely and choc cake. Thank you

Really lovely. Fantastic staff and service. They were so nice with my 2 year old daughter and helpful which made it so much easier going out just the two of us. Lots of toys for her and fabulous magazines for me to read. Clean and great good. Plus a great pot of tea. Highly recommend!!

I've never H d bacon that made me sit back in awe before coming here, This twinned home baked bread and cakes throws my diet out of the window!

Meal ok but not as expected considering the price. Portions very small and dull. May just have coffe next time but a good alternative for meal just along the road.
