Arrived at the restaurant this evening at 22:40 and was turned away and told the restaurant is closed. The restaurant closing time on Google is 23:30 and this is also stated on the restaurant door. No reason was given for closing so early. Very disappointed. Will not be visiting again.

To say I had a phenomenal lunch here is an understatement. Incredibly delicious food, lovely staff members and a relaxing environment gave me and my partner a great experience. Before I finish my review I also have to make a special mention about the coconut and chicken soup I ordered. That bowl of soup was unreal, I could eat that every day for a year and not get bored of it.

I love this place! Like so much! Seriously, it's not just because I live right next to the restaurant (the ultimate privilege) but because I genuinely believe this is the best Thai food I have come across in the United Kingdom (and I used to live in Bangkok!) The food is exceptional, justifying the moderate-to-high end ambience (albeit there is a soft and alluring charm to the place). Simply put, when visiting Patara, you can't go wrong. With that being said I'd like to take the time to appreciate the people who work at Patara. The restaurant's staff, particularly their senior management, pay homage to Thai culture in the most respectful and elegant of ways. When visiting Patara you are reminded of the fact that Thailand is frequently referred to as 'The Land of Smiles' for a bloody good reason. Not only do they grant each customer an authentic experience, but a pleasant and kind one; quite frankly, they take care of you. I honestly can't recommend Patara (South Ken) enough, an absolute gem responsible for the forming of many fond memories during my time living in London. Here's to more to come.. see you soon.. :)

I had been craving a true Thai food experience since we left the country after a 3 week vacation and this place really hit the spot 😍 Por took great care of us, they even had great vegan options!

This restaurant was truly exceptional all around. We visited as a group of six and got to try several things from the menu. While I have not visited Thailand, we love Thai food and have visited many Thai restaurants. I can say without hesitation that this was the best Thai food I have ever had. We had one vegetarian diner in our group, who also gave the place top marks.

We had a fantastic meal at Patara, South Kensington! Every dish has been great everytime I have visited — the lamb massamn was so tender (and fell off the bone) which we had with the pineapple fried rice. I also recommend the fried seabass with chilli sauce. You cannot miss the mango sticky rice for dessert! Thanks to our server Mameon and the rest of the team.

We’re been here at least 15 times in the past couple of years excluding ordering from Deliveroo during lockdown. The food quality is great and consistent which is also important; service is impeccable - staff are all considerate & very friendly. Highly recommend. A few dishes are spicy so remember to ask them to remove it if you’re like me intolerante to spicy flavours.

We were craving Thai food and this place did not disappoint! It hit the spot and exceeded all expectations. We ordered the chili sea bass, mango salad with soft shell crab, Tom yum soups, pad Thai with prawns and vegetarian egg rolls. Everything was very fresh and we will definitely have to come back to try their mango sticky rice. Staff was extremely attentive to detail and I highly recommend.

Today my wife and I had the opportunity to eat Thai food at Patara South Kensington. The food came out delicious. The curry flavor is well concentrated. Additionally, the waiter at the restaurant provided lovely service. Especially, Miss Por who is the manager of the restaurant, helped recommend food and services in a friendly manner. She kept asking what my allergies were and what I liked.

Wonderful food but dinner was made particularly special because our server Vy was so lovely. She knew each menu item well and could make helpful suggestions and the fish with sweet chili sauce, red chicken curry and green papaya salad complemented each other beautifully. The dishes were prepared with care and the freshest ingredients. We've eaten thai food in many that restaurants and this was among the very best.

We stopped here for some lunch, and we had the set menu for £15.95 each. The staff were very friendly and polite to us, which made it a pleasure to eat here. We had the chilli sea salt calamari, steamed pork and prawn dumplins, and coconut beef. The food was amazing and very tasty, especially coconut beef. The meat was really soft and very moist. I would highly recommend the set menu, it represents very good value for money and the quality of the food was high.

Delicious food, one of the best chicken satay's I have ever had! Excellent service, great atmosphere.. Our whole group enjoyed their meals. The cocktails and mocktails were amazing too!!

Wonderful food! would recommend the seafood rice in the pineapple - it was super fragrant. Service was very quick (though may be because we were here relatively early) - regardless staff were friendly and helpful. A little bit pricey but to be expected for the area.

Overall a very good Thai meal. The stir-fried water spinach is amazing, and the fried seabass is crispy and delicious, a must-try. The lobster noodles and tom yum soup are neither good nor bad, and the spring rolls and scallops in the appetizer platter are quite good! There was a glitch when I swiped my card when paying, but the store clerk was always patient and friendly! Recommended!

Had the lunch special with an additional dish of calamari. The chicken satay was good and so was the Pad Thai, but the crispy chilli calamari was tasteless and not at all worth the £12.50. The only thing that gave it some taste was the sweet chilli sauce on the side. Overall I'd say slightly overpriced food.
