Pasty Presto in Birmingham

The coffee and Cornish pasty was good. Unfortunaly we were over charges for a canned drink we didn't order. When we pointed this out to the person on the till we were told we would get it refunded in 3 or 4 days!

For a Cornishman, a pasty is always a good lunch, and the Cornish Bakery is a pretty good standard. There are a few places better but it's reliable. At the NEC, they have another advantage in that the prices weren't overinflated like most of the other outlets. Really good quality and value makes this a no brainer

We were at the NEC for a week at the motorhome show and the Cornish Bakery is our go-to place for coffees, pasties and cakes. Really friendly staff, which is just what you need when you are working all week at an exhibition. Thanks to Phil, Lesley, Rachel, Michelle, Reece, Tom, Danny and Shanika.

I was at the UK Construction Week Show and, whilst in the hall, I decided to get a Cornish Pasty. I had a large traditional one. I thought the price was very fair at just over £5 (which is great for a show) and was astounded by how nice it was. I have been to Cornwall and Devon on several occasions but I must say that this was the best pasty I have ever had. The beef was so tender and chunky, as were the vegetables, all wrapped in melt in the mouth pastry. A fantastic and welcome surprise.

Just had a wonderful experience at the NEC. Having spent a few days here at a show, a lot of the staff at a variety of cafes have looked grumpy and down with zero smiles or positive interactions. Heather on the other hand, at Cornish Bakery, was lovely. She smiled, she spoke to me kindly, she wished me well and that I have a lovely day. It was a pleasant surprise given that a lot of care seems to have gone from the service related industries. Well done Heather, I hope someone in management reads this and gives you a pat on the back!

Needed some quick on the go food. Served by Dan, sound lad, very friendly. Patient with me as I couldn't find my wallet at first.

Visited during the Insomnia exhibition event last week . Each day tried a different flavour pasty and none let me down. Particular favourite was the stilton pasty . Iced coffee was also great and much needed during the show . The team were always friendly and helpful with recommendations. Definitely the cheapest place to it at the NEC .

Great place to visit for shows . Catered really well for vegans with bhaji pasty and raspberry croissant . Perfect find for something quick and easy

We were showing at the NEC Crufts, first coffee from another vendor the coffee wasn’t too good and the staff miserable so tried the Cornish Bakery next time, what a difference the staff ( Gem, Kie & Tina, Hope I’ve got that right) we’re cheerful, unflustered and interactive with the customers plus the coffee was way better.

Day 4 of Crufts discovered the Cornish Bakery. Wish we'd spotted it earlier. The most fantastic pasties and every kind of coffee you could want. Served by the delightful and smiling Heather and Tom! Highly recommend!

Representing our wonderful company at the Spring Fayre Exhibition.. Every day, at least three times a day, cared for by this awesome gang of wonders. They were working so hard yet maintained great service throughout. Excellent team work too and all engaging, lovely spirited and a delight to visit. Even with a queue of sometimes impatient people, they took care of everyone and served great drinks and tasty food exactly when needed. Not only did you keep our energy levels up, provided excellent service, gorgeous cakes and tea, you supported so generously our stands donations to Make-A-Wish, so kindly. Thank you dear ones !! Visited on several occasions for a coffee and breakfast. Ticked all the boxes and it’s one of the few cafes in the NEC serving flat whites! Definitely recommended if you’d rather avoid Starbucks!

Si quieres un pastel y estás en el NEC, este es el lugar para ir. Si quieres algo más que una bebida, entonces no lo es.No tengo ninguna queja sobre los pasteles, que tenían un sabor fresco y estaban bien cargados de contenido. Every year this is planned as the lunch stop. Excellent value for money, lge. trad, pasty is as good as you will get anywhere. Service is always fast friendly and with a smile. Tables are always clean. see you again next time we are in the NEC

Ordered the bacon, cheese leak Cornish and was lovely. Came around lunch time so was fresh and packed with filling. Not cheap tho but definitely worth it. Would go again for a quick lunch

After a long day walking round the NEC walking out of the place we noticed the Cornish bakery. Stopping and looking staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Decent enough place to eat if you are visiting the NEC as an exhibitor or visitor. Can be quite a queue if you hit it wrong, but if you want something cooked, not over the top pricey then this might fit your plans.

Visited here a few times during an exhibition. Some days it was really busy, some days it was quiet. It all depended on the time that you went.

I visited caravan show, very busy, but Lovely food, I had bacon leek and cheese, and a latte, i would visit again.

Busy but freshly made tasty Cornish pasties with real chunks of beef and veg. Wide choice from savoury to sweet. A few chairs inside or take them outside. Cold drinks and hot. Good price. Appears clean and well managed.

The pasties are to die for. That’s all I can say! Everyone please visit this place if you’re at the NEC you won’t be disappointed.

We had two small cornish pasties just short of £8. They tasted ok but still not value for money, captive customer in the NEC @ Grand Design "show".

Visité el espectáculo del caballo del año y comí de la panadería de Cornualles. As an exhibitor at the NEC and I do not eat sandwiches often went hungry if didn't want expensive lukewarm fries that is until found the delicious pasties here.I saw complaints on TA about them being too hot but it was wonderful to have hot food.When serving our customers lukewarm food can be very unappetizing when gone cold.The pastry is just right not thick and stodgy,the filling well seasoned and plenty of steak.Price to be expected for venue but there was enough for the two of us to share.Better than the ones we had from another company in Cornwall.

The pastys are always too hot and well worth the wait till they cool down but get a drink as you may need to cool your mouth down

Had lunch here while visiting the NEC at Birmingham. The same excellent standards as previous years. Nice staff in a clean area. Lots of choice. Lots of choice of savoury and sweet. Busy lunchtime but was able to find a seat. We will keep coming back.

Visité la panadería cornish en el 12 de mayo para el cuerpo de energía, compré una tradicional pastelería y un café, el pasty era tan bueno, y el café era muy bonito. El servicio era increíble, que un joven que me atendió. La zona de estar era bonita y ordenada. Sin duda visitar de nuevo cuando esté en Birmingham.

We ate here while attending the MACH 2018 show had three pasties on three separate days as due to the weather being so poor felt we needed some good hot food this place fits the bill totally however why be warned it is not cheap to eat.the staff are really good.offering fast service.

Visitamos el NEC para la educación presenta amd parado en la sucursal del atrio. . Mientras aquí, he tenido un servicio amable y recibido comida de calidad. Pedí un gran último caramelo, un pollo tailandés pasty y un chocolate blanco y Magdalena de frambuesa. Todo era delicioso! ! ! El servicio y la limpieza también dieron en el clavo! Gracias! ! ! Último día de feria en el NEC y necesita de algo de llenado antes del cierre del espectáculo y el temido colapso. Cornish pasty tradicional, sabrosa y caliente, exactamente como debe ser. Servicio con una sonrisa, justo lo que necesitas.

'Tastes like nowhere else' is the claim. Lured in by this we were disappointed to be sold cold pasties from the hot food counter. These were slapped in the microwave and reissued to us. Not the greatest of dining experiences

With high expectations I queued for a while only to be very disappointed by the food and drink, despite friendly staff. Trad pasty, too hot to eat for twenty minutes, dry and over cooked especially the crust. Large cappuccino was also too hot to drink for ten minutes and pretty tasteless. Well over £6 wasted

I think their pasties are way above average and good value plus the staff cannot be faulted. When at teh NEC it is well worth the short walk from halls 1 to 5 plaza to eat there.
