Always had the best pasties but sadly the pastie cellar is no more -the building has been sold - no doubt in keeping with all other recent Polzeath developments- into over priced fugly rental properties. The chip shop that used to be next door has gone too.

The best pasty I have ever had in Cornwall. Made on the premises, red hot and tasty. Proper fillings of choices. Do go and try.

We always visit the Pasty Cellar when in Polzeath. It is hidden away slightly up the hill and down some steps. There is never a queue and their pasties are excellent and reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and helpful. You can get drinks, cakes and other snacks there also. Check it out if you are fed up with queuing at the more prominent locations.

I am a fussy old bloke. Had a very tasty traditional pasty. Good crunchy pastry. No gristle or crud. Very tasty . I will be having my dinner here every day.btw... it’s breakfast, dinner and tea where I come from.

I paid £4 for a large pasty and £3 for a medium pasty, but they were more like medium and small size. They were over cooked and the pastry was dark brown and crunchy - not what I expected. There was plenty of meat inside, but they were as dry as old boots! We had been sold old and many times reheated pasties. We won’t be buying pasties from this place again

You know when you eat something and it still makes you smile an hour or two later? That. Come to Polzeath most years on holiday. Have sampled many pasties over that time. Today my wife and daughter went out for the day, so I treated myself to two medium pasties from the Pasty Cellar: Lamb & mint, and the traditional Steak. Both were meaty, chunky, seasoned, tasty, well-filled, with just the right amount of crunch to the pastry case. I used to judge every Cornish pasty against those in childhood memory from Rock Bakery back in the 1970s. Everything else fell short. But ... you know what? ... I genuinely think these are better. Ok, don't call me greedy, I still have 2 half pasties saved up for later.

When your really hungry and fancy a good filling pasty, this little gem won’t disappoint, the shop isn’t very modern or fancy, but they sell themselves with the quality of their foods.

Looking for an excellent take away lunch while on a visit to Polzeath. This is the best spot. Tucked away slightly up the hill, this hide away offers a range of high quality freshly baked pasties. You have your choice of pasties and there are panini options as well and a selection of drinks. But when in Cornwall, but what else but, Pastie....

My husband thinks he’s some kind of pasty officianado, having tried pretty much every pasty shop in Cornwall! He rates the pasties here as the best this year, overtaking his old favourite for the last few years, so they must be good!

Visited here twice during our week, enjoyed both times! Traditional pasty was best, we found the pork and apple was lacking in both and very peppery. Average prices for the area

Visited for a much needed Pasty after a morning surf. Tried the bacon, cheese and leek and it was good, did notice afterwards that there was a recent award winning Pasty outlet just round the corner which I didn't try!

Buying a good pasty when staying in Polzeath used to involve getting in a car and going to Rock. However, the tasty pasties bought in this no-frills shop today mean that the car can stay where it is for now. Yey!

Enjoyed by all the family. Warm tasty pasties, ideal after surfing. We had the lamb and mint pasty and medium steak which has a small amount of onion with a smooth buttery pastry covering the filling. Perfect after a morning surfing to to renegade and reheat you in the spring sunshine

Booked a two day getaway for R & R through Booking.com. Stayed Saturday and Sunday nights on B&B basis. (1st & 2nd March) We checked in around 3pm and were taken to the room by friendly staff member. The room was introduced as a "Cabin" style room. At first we thought that it was quite small and very little room to move. Facilities were excellent and very clean and modern. Especially the bathroom. Again small but useable. Bedroom space was very different, tiny area, hanging space was at a premium. 3 shirts and the space was full. The bed was enclosed in a tight corner with only one access side, so exiting was difficult to say the least. I enquired about a bigger room and the extra cost to do so. I was informed that if someone did not show up I would be informed and the room would be offered. That unfortunately did not happen. I explained that my wife had limited mobility and found it difficult to enter and exit tight spaces but it appeared to fall on deaf ears. A follow up to say sorry no rooms were available might have helped us decide not to stay the second night. I think maybe it would have been better to book direct with the Hotel and the possibility of discussing room size etc. I thought for the money we paid Booking.com the room would have been more standard size. I get Genius discount with Booking.com so my assumption was completely wrong. We likened the room more to "Rabbit Hutch" more than "Cabin" For the price we paid I would consider the room expensive and more to be used as single occupancy rather than double. All other aspects of our stay were lovely, the staff, the public area's, food and drinks were all very good. The only other worry I have is parking ticket arriving at a later date. I asked at the time of check in if it was in order to park just up the road in the general Car Park and was told to give my Reg number to reception and that would be ok. On leaving the Car Park I noticed the "Have you paid an displayed" sign. We gave our details to a young lady service at the bar and she said she would enter it at reception on our room number (4). I checked later after returning from a walk and found it had not been and was done then but informed there would be a problem because the Car Park was not monitored. I hope that statement was correct!

Latte was only just warm and very weak, could not taste any coffee at all. Disappointing. I have been before and had the same experience.
