Pastasciutta Ingatestone in Brentwood

Tried to book but I have a nut allergy. They refused the booking which is up to them but says a lot about their own health and safety in the kitchen. Would they reject someone who is vegan? They obviously can't guarantee no cross contanimation

What a little gem in Essex. Run by husband and wife originally from Italy. Went there for lunch. Diavola pizza was amazing as well as the nduja and Marscapone homemade pasta. Service was spot on too. You can even buy a few authentic foodstaples so you can extend the experience at home. Worth a visit for sure.

Moved to ingatestone earlier in the year and this is our go to place. The food is always delicious and Laura and her team are amazing. Can’t wait to go back

Beautiful, delicious food, excellent value for money, and all pasta is made fresh on the day. This restaurant is run by a warm and welcoming Milanese couple who are an absolute delight and are passionate about the quality of their food. Just go.

I chose Pastasciutta as the venue for my 70th birthday party last weekend and I was not disappointed. Alessio, Laura and their lovely staff made it a special day, combining a warm welcome with great food and lovely service. Throughout the planning process and on the day itself, they were a pleasure to deal with. First time visit with family - fantastic food, and friendly knowledgeable service.

We went here for a meal on Friday 22nd March, what a spot on experience. A warm welcome, a lovely table, interesting specials passionately described to us, delicious starters mains and desserts , very reasonably priced wine. And a nice, clean restroom. I will be back again shortly.

Stunning food, a real surprise when I first found it. Lovely authentic service, delivered with passion and a deep knowledge of the origins of the dishes. Great selection of both soft and alcoholic drinks, again authentic from Italy, traditional sodas etc. Ingatestone is very lucky to have a restaurant of this calibre on the high street; it's such a joy to visit every time. It's worth calling ahead, and you certainly have to book in the evenings. Given their popularity you may be disappointed if you don't call ahead to secure a table. The best pasta I've had for a while. Highly recommend this place!

Delicious Pasta con sarde. The fresh pasta was a cut above. Homemade tiramisu was delicious and perfect to end the meal. The connolo we took away were so yummy. All the staff were really welcoming. Wish we lived closer!

Been trying to book several times and they keep cancel the booking; not even by call but by message and 2 hours after the booking: 0 customer service. Never gonna try again to book there.

We had the Diavolo pizza with extra chilli—it was perfection. We also tried the Pipe N'Duja E Burrata, a creamy and spicy pasta dish that left us in awe. Everything is made fresh. If you love authentic Italian food or have a genuine interest in the culinary world, this is the place to be. We can't wait to go back for dinner!

Great authentic Italian service. Amazing ingredients and wonderful choice of dishes both main menu and specials. After one visit, returned the same week. Would be happy ,and feel safe, to recommend too or take anyone to the restaurant. Wine menu is also great Italian wines. Book early. Save room for the pistachio semi fredo.

I'm sorry to only give 3 stars , normally I really enjoy the pizza there but change to have pasta dish for a change. We been charged for the salty carbonara that been tasted by myself and partner .I was hopping she try it too .

Family run Italian restaurant serving a small range of home made pasta and pizza. The pasta was delicious and the sauces have great depth of flavour. The desserts were also great. The food was good value. My only gripe was they could have done with an extra staff member as it took a while to be served, but don't let that put you off!

I really think that this place is the best Italian restaurant in a hundred miles radius. As a chef myself, I don't rate places that I don't know from experience that are amazing from every point of view. From the moment you step into this place you are part of the family, the owner takes great pride in presenting daily dishes and all of them are amazing and cooked to perfection. If you like real Italian food, preapered to the finest touch and with best products give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

We visited this week for the first time and had an awesome meal. I'll be honest I am gutted that we hadn't tried it before as it's now my favourite restaurant of all time. The menu is perfect and our welcoming and endearing hostess explained every dish to us which made the selection process a delight and we all choose perfectly. Every dish we ordered was perfect. Pasta, fish and meat were all cooked to perfection. I couldn't suggest any improvements. I recommend everyone to visit this outstanding husband and wife team as soon as you can get a table. I'm going to go and book our next visit now to ensure I don't miss out.

We have just eaten a most delicious meal in a friendly, family run restaurant. The staff were knowledge and the chef truly talented with great attention to detail and presentation. We could not fault the food it was so authentic in every way. Our only regret was that we couldn’t fit in a dessert- next time perhaps! Thank you to all at of Ingatestone.
