Lovely coffee, great atmosphere & friendly staff. Takeaway food for home cooking is lovely. We took 2 x freshly made beef & Chianti cannelloni home and they were delicious.

Staff are the friendliest I've ever met. So polite and quick in everything they do. Food was so good we decided to visit the next day for breakfast before our trip home from a holiday. Order: American Style Pancakes with chocolate ice cream and golden syrup. Waffle with hazelnut spread. Both absolutely delicious 😋

Called in here for abit of breakfast. Ordered a bacon sandwich and a diet coke. Food took ages to arrive. Couldn't taste the bacon or mushrooms as it had been sprinkled with herbs. The diet coke was watery. Ended up leaving both. Very disappointed especially as it was over priced.

Visited for the second time today, on our day out. Franco and the team are very welcoming and serve up truly authentic Italian cuisine. The tastes and aromas are mouthwatering and we can’t wait to visit again. If ever you find yourself in Newark, be sure to seek them out. You won’t be disappointed. Paul H

The atmosphere is chill, the staff is very friendly. And the food... Oh my god that was the best white bread I've eaten in a very, very long time. Both the garlic bread and the panino were simply amazing. 100% recommend.

Great place with a lovely atmosphere. It was very quiet when we got there an hour before they closed. The lady that served us was so kind and very attentive and the food was unreal, it was that good we took a takeaway for dinner for the next day and pudding. We were offered a free sample of gelato at the end of our meal which was a bonus on top of the service we had already received. Such a pleasure to meet a nice local business with proper people skills 😊

Tried Pastability for Friday lunch Food and service good value, decor unpretentious. Spinach and ricotta cannelloni, salmon arancini with plenty of salad to accompany.

Friendly service and amazing gelato.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. The food was perfectly done, and the favours were scrumptious and definitely moreish. The kids loved the milkshakes and the ice-cream which is made on site. Will certainly return.

Great food and service was good. Was busy so waited a bit longer to order, but when food arrived it was worth waiting for. Salad was very fresh and food was tasty.

The food here was so good, I was really surprised. I went there with my family for my sisters birthday lunch and a lot of us shared as we're the kind of people that like to try everything we can, or just plain greedy! I'm glad we were. We had a selection of starters, the fish platter was good, but Tian was absolutely amazing. I could eat that all day long! For mains I tried the vege lasagne, the mushroom lasagne, mac n cheese, and chorizo cannelloni, all of which were excellent. My cousin and niece had the vege option with spinach and they loved theirs too. My8 year old niece said it was the best food she's ever had. Much to her mums dismay I'm sure. My sons squidgy pasta was really good too and he loved it. I'm usually disappointed by kids meals, it's rare to find a good one and with such a good portion size. I ate his leftovers. The desert was also really good. I tried the banana boat - not sure what it's called, maybe a split, and I had the Ferrero Roche waffle with gelato stuccatello ice cream. I have never been so truly happy with my food, all "3" courses of it 😉. I would highly recommend Pastability. It's not fancy, but the food is excellent!

Popped in today for ice cream with my daughter, an amazingly warm welcome received by the manager / owner, communicated really well with a young child and made us feel at home, even the chef when he came out the kitchen gave us a warm welcome. Great place with people there who clearly enjoy working there. Shame I hadn't discovered this place sooner, we've planned to return to try the food next.

A very Italian warm friendly place to eat. I had the breakfast and was super tasty. Well recommend in coming for some well prepared food.

A nice little Italian cafe which offers a huge range of lunch options plus if you're local the opportunity to bring your own oven dish in which they make lasagne, cannelloni etc for you to bake at home- genius idea! On the day I visited they had 3 different cannelloni options (I went for spinach and ricotta but the chicken chorizo was very tempting) plus a huge cheesy garlic bread. Portions are generous and reasonably priced and the staff were very accommodating (we accidentally stayed over half an hour after closing and they didn't say a thing) They do officially close at 3pm but a lunch spot I'd happily visit again.

Lovely food and would definitely go again though the interior let's it down. Clean but seems old, lacking personality, reminiscent of a basic cafe, though the food is on a whole different level!

Not what the name says pasta.... They have a board menu and some wonderful looking ice-cream (bigger signage needed as we didn't see them until morning ),But breakfast.. Full English was good 2egg,2 bacon, 2 hash browns, 3 chipolatas sausages, black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans & 2 slices of toast with trimmings @ £7 hot drinks on top all served politely Recommend

The manager/owner is lovely and talkative. The food is fantastic, I've been multiple times and enjoyed everything I've had. The prices are fair. And they offer prepared mains to take away and heat at home. I honestly couldn't recommend them more.

We visited Newark for a long weekend and Tripadvisored this restaurant. We were so glad we did, the reviews were spot on!The calamari, lasagna and meatballs were all delicious. The service was warm and friendly, and the place typical of an authentic Italian cafe. We loved it and thoroughly recommend it.

Excellent food ,good service,good value for money.

Stopped twice to have coffee and cake and lunch. The food was lovely and couldn’t fault it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful . We sat outside with the dogs and they brought out water for them. Would definitely go back when in the area again.

Visited for coffee and ended up taking home chicken lasagne which was super. Also all covid rules in place and staff very friendly.

Found Pastability by chance after our local place for breakfast was closed. I have nothing but praise for the staff, food and choice on the menu is excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Well, apart from the obvious Covid lockdown, I really don't know why I've not been back here sooner. Was meeting a former work colleague today and had been wondering where to go - Pastability was the obvious choice and it was as good as ever. Tables well spaced, the full menu was available and my goodness it was good. Knowing how extensive the menu is I had already spent time looking online and knew what I wanted, my friend found it very difficult, though I explained that they also sell take out food for you to cook from home if you are stuck! Also warned her not to order too much as the portions are more than generous.Enjoyed it so much that I'm booking again with husband and son for next week. Don't know why we didn't return sooner. Very Covid secure.

As I had a busy day and an extra person for dinner I decided to take advantage of Pastability's takeaway service. I took a pyrex dish in (to avoid single use plastic) and the chef at Pastability made a delicious butternut squash lasagne for me to pick up the following day. My daughter, who is a committed vegetarian, absolutely loved it. Will definitely consider doing that again. The convenience of a ready meal but much healthier and better quality.

Very bleak interior. Wifey had Fish goujons which were nice and hot. I had pitza type thing which was cold in the middle I called the manager who very quickly sorted it and apologised. It was very tasty and both meals were good value. The place was very clean

Xavier and his team are fantastic. This was one of the first restaurants we ever went to in Newark when we first moved up here and we’ve been going back regularly ever since. Great breakfasts and really nice lunches (and healthy!). The take away home made pastas etc are brilliant.

This is a locally run eatery. The gelato and sorbet are all hand made by th owner and are delicious. From snacks, home made chocolate cake, with cream and gelato. A delicious lunch menu to suit all plate sizes, an excellent main meal menu, wonderful Italian food. A warm welcome, in a clean and friendly atmosphere, Co-Vid friendly, track and trace. Hot fresh strong coffee, would totally recommend that you try this place.

Some time to kill in Newark led me to Pastability. It had been some time since I had been there before to enjoy their lasagna and so decided to peruse the breakfast menu.Delighted to see that Eggs Benedict was on offer for a very reasonable price and I wasn't disappointed. Deep yellow yolk served on toasted muffins, with a proportionate serving of bechimel sauce. A side serving of dressed leaves made this the perfect breakfast and accompanied by exquisite coffee.The only disappointment... It's closed on Sundays so I couldn't repeat the experience the following day with my family.

Visited the establishment with friends for a bite to eat. On the surface the venue looks like a hybrid of a greasy spoon cafe and a deli but it was clean and warm. The waiter was attentive, helpful and friendly. The menu had a varied selection, and the food was of reasonably good quality with no real issues of note

My daughter was knocked out at school. We did A&E and then I need to keep her interested. We visited Pastibility to eat, the food was great, my daughter told her tails of wow and they gave her a free ice cream. This was a few years ago now but my daughter still remembers the kindness of the staff. Thank you for being so caring.

Three of us had lunch at Pastability. As usual the food surpassed our expectations. In particular the Tuscan Chicken was fabulous. The service was delightful and nothing is too much trouble. We shall be returning very soon.

I have always enjoyed the delicious food, cakes and ice cream at this Newark Gem! The staff are friendly, the food is fresh and delicious and the prices are great! I just wish they were opened later as would love to come for an evening meal. They historically have never disappointed me or my friends. Keep up the great work!

Loved this place. First our kids had some of the home made ice cream, then we decided to stick around and have a cup of tea, the. We decided to buy some home made pasta for taking away. All was top notch, really tasty, and very friendly service. We will definitely be back for a planned bit of lunch. Highly recommended

Basically I went in for food the other day and I seen the staff eating people’s food and wen I went in the toilets they stunk of pooo and wee and I swear I saw a pooo on the floor and the staff r rude an thay black guy is just no he looking at my kids

I found the staff where rude and arrogant, and at times over friendly and I found it to much.

Great food and the staff are so friendly and attentive.

Lunch starter and main course very good, hot and flavoursome. Order taken quickly and drinks came soon after. But 40 minutes wait for starter and another long wait for main course. We were there for over a hour and a half for two courses, no deserts or coffee. We have been before and the service was much quicker that time. So whilst the food is very good, don't come here if you are in a hurry.

Friendly, welcoming Italian restaurant with great tasting authentic home cooked food. Staff were great with our young children. Authentic Gelato and homemade cakes for dessert. Will definitely visit again. Very impressed.

Amazing fresh food the menu is extensive and has very good vegetarian option's. The staff and management are so so friendly, it was our birthdays and they went above and beyond. My friends had red wine which they said was very very good. Pastability is very clean and tidy, The only slight downside we could say is looking after wheelchair users, they had no downstairs toilet as of yet, but you do have a few steps to climb to get to them, but they do have access to same level toilets just next to the restaurant. This restaurant is a little gem and well worth a visit, its excellent value for money amazing. My friend visited the following week and her friend loved it, this is one place we all will be returning to frequently. Best meal out Thank You Pastability .

A variety of exquisite Mediterranean food, healthy and delicious. We were treated like a part of the family (without having to do the washing up!) and given helpful advice over the menu. The entire staff work brilliantly as a team. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The restaurant itself is not plush but true to the restaurants in the Mediterranean area - all the concentration is on the food!!!

What a wonderful and lovely experience. More than a meal. The staff and owner made my birthday celebration so very special. I can't recommend this hidden treasure enough. They even threw in a special treat that was so unexpected. Thank you so very much for your wonderful service and food and especially the samples of wine. Thank you all so so very much. Visited Pastability many times. Never had a bad meal. Lots of choice and always a daily special. Lasagne's of all different types. Definitely a must eat place in Newark.

Had very tasty calamares with garlic mayo for lunch. Food is always highest quality, fresh and homemade! Owner and staff very friendly and welcoming, you will join the pastability family.

Ignore the rather basic decor you're here to eat the food and what food it is. I could imagine being in rural Southern Italy, invited round to someone's house for a meal and this is what would be served. It's brilliant, so tasty, of quality with good sized portions. Exceptional value for money. Very welcoming staff and prompt service.

We had a really pleasant late brunch/lunch here, the smoked salmon arancini was so delicious! Also the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended
