Always fabulous at Johanna’s, great food, amazing service. Gary & Jo & team always super and kind. Highly recommend. During flooding drinks were given free to people helping the village. This place helps the village enormously.

This is the best cafe/bistro I have ever eaten at. Everything on the extensive menu is excellent. That, along with the very friendly helpful staff, makes this place, very, very special. Bob

This was our first visit and we’re not disappointed. The food was well served and tasted delicious. The staff were very friendly. The surroundings were clean and inviting. Unfortunately there was not room after a hearty toasty to sample the amazing cakes that were on display. We will put that right paying another visit for afternoon tea,

Went for a drop in lunch. There were no free tables but they managed to find us a shared table which was great. I had the pulled pork and veg Yorkshire pudding wrap and the good lady had a lasagna. The Yorkshire wrap was ENORMOUS and very tasty. The lasagna was also very tasty. Maybe not the cheapest but certainly will be visiting again. Very friendly and welcoming,

Absolutely first class support by Jo-hanna during the recent floods in the village. Drinks and food provided free for volunteers and those flooded.

First impressions were a rude and unkempt gentleman in the shop. We went through to the back and the cafe was disappointing. There was someone clearing tables using a bucket and the plastic tablecloths were unclean. The coffee was poor and yet the same price as a decent cappuccino elsewhere. Did not feel I wanted to eat there so drank my coffee and left. Will not return. Presume this frequented by locals who wish to stay local.

Much attention has been paid to the decoration to create a relaxed and enjoyable feeling. I particularly liked an old stepladder with foliage draped down the steps. All staff were friendly and attentive without being pushy. The egg-on-toast was excellent with delicious white bread. Well done Jo-Hanna and the staff.

Came here for a spontaneous lunch asked for ham , egg and chips , I was surprised when it arrived at how big the portion was. Everything was freshly cooked and hot . The chips are simply gorgeous

Always looking for new eateries round our way for Lunch and hadn't tried Jo-Hannahs so thought we'd give it a go. Glad we did - my partner had the bacon and stilton quiche which was lovely, I just had cheesey chips so I could fit in a piece of the gluten free blueberry frangipane - highly recommended ! I've tried lots of the local gluten free cake options and this was up there with the best, so light and not stodgy like a lot of frangipans, my compliments to the baker ! The service was very friendly and light touch, and a happy hour was spent in their shady courtyard. A lovely lunch - many thanks (will be back....)

Been a few times and had veggie option, full English, takeaway and sit down snacks or meals. All excellent, home made and quality. Reasonable too. Service great. Cakes, wow 😊. Love this bistro.

This fabulous bistro is a life line for my mum, who lives alone in the village. She confidently goes there a few times a week knowing there will be a friendly honest face. I also enjoy my visits! Great food and fabulous cake!

The best place for breakfast around. If you want no nonsense great food then this is the place. Out side in the cabin you can take dogs in to which is great after a walk.

Today the Vale of Belvoir Cycling Club's Friday Ladies visited the cafe. I'd called earlier in the week to book 15 ladies in for a light lunch. They were really helpful and said they would reserve the Log Cabin as that seats about 15 and we can keep an eye on our bikes. When we arrived, (due to a sunny Friday) there were 20 of us. The cafe was a staff member down, but that didn't phase them. We were made to feel so welcome and the staff were brilliant. The food was very very good, best Scone in 30 miles! and as a cycling group, we know our scones!We will definitly return!

Looked up coffee shops in Lowdham to call in after a day out . So glad we did!! What a perfect , hidden little gem off the beaten track. Really friendly and helpful staff. Really nice setting out at the back in “The Cabin”. Food was excellent and will definitely be calling again. I do a lot of cycling and will be adding this to my itinerary. Excellent closed yard at the back so don’t have to worry about leaving any valuables as “at table” service . Just 1st Class.

Clean premises inside and out and hot and tasty food. Amazing value for money. Recommended the breakfast, sets you up for the day.

Since our local cafe closed down, we had to find somewhere else to meet our grandson on a Saturday morning for breakfast. This has turned out to be absolutely superb. The coffee is good, served small if you want it small, special coffees are served in a special glass. The breakfast menu is well provided, and they will even do a half sandwich if you're like me and only have a small appetite! There's a choice of bread, white, brown or granary. Lunch food is well advertised, but we have not been there at the right time for that - yet. We will do someday! All in all, an excellent, well spread out place right in the centre of the village.

Nice strong coffee, and staff friendly and happy. Quite busy but nice and clean. Staff greeted the regular customers, which is always a good sign! Nice to sit outside, plenty of small tables and chairs. Loo was clean too. Efficiently run, so deserves to succeed.

Recently had lunch here - excellent welcome and service, great surroundings (we sat in the sunhouse) and wonderful food. My omelette was the fluffiest omelette I'd ever seen and tasted delicious. The prices were very competitive and I would unhesitatingly recommend this Cafe and Bistro.

So pleased we found this place - friendly service and excellent home cooked food. My vegetarian friend loved her breakfast, the coffee is excellent and the cake delicious. We will definitely be returning.

A lovely welcome awaits anyone that visits. It offers everything from bacon butties to satisfying meals to freshly made cakes. A lovely place to also relax in the private and quiet garden area with table service and a smile.

Found this by chance and what a find . Lovely little cafe bistro with friendly service and great food . Homemade cakes in a clean friendly cafe takes some beating . Indoor and outdoor seating and we shall be stopping off here again in summer .

Between the four of us, we had a cooked breakfast, coffee, bacon rolls and a luxury hot chocolate. The ingredients were all locally sourced and you could tell. Very tasty sausages, decent bacon and great baps. From the front, you wouldn't expect 3 or 4 seating areas. The place is like a tardis. The owners and staff are very welcoming. Looking forward to going back next time we are passing Lowdham.

Have just had the best bacon sausage and egg cob by far. Was passing on way home and wanted a quick sandwich.Piping hot freshly cooked. Staff friendly. Glad I stopped. Absolutely divine will definitely call again.

Visited today with our toddler for lunch. Sat outside as weather glorious but plenty of space inside and in the new summer house. Delicious chicken curry and cheese toasty, shared with appreciative toddler, who already wants to come back as she was given toys to play with!

What a delight. Mega breakfast not for the faint hearted. It was enormous. Superb service, superb quality. Good value for money. Everybody so friendly nothing too much trouble. Aren’t I lucky on my doorstep. Can’t recommend enough.

Really enjoyed our breakfast and morning stay here. Great breakfast (lots of choices), great coffee and all the extras, including newspapers to read, cafe garden and free Wi-fi to catch up in the world.

Been a couple of times and had takeaway sandwiches but decided to eat in and try there mega breakfast !!! This did not disappoint lotos of it and very tasty will defintley be visiting again.

Called in for a Sunday brunch with my wife while visiting the area. Received a warm welcome and good value for money late breakfast. This is a well appointed establishment with a good out door space for those who prefer to be outside.

The food is great here. I love the omelettes and also the fish finger sandwiches are wonderful. Lindsey is a great asset. Her food is always hot, fresh and lovely. The owners are great as well

This is a great cafe which can accomodate small groups of cyclists. There were 11 of us-we did book tables in advance as we wanted to sit outside where space is limited, but there is plenty of space inside when the weather is being 'British'! The staff were really friendly and helpful. There is a bike rack and off road space for bikes. The cakes were homemade, the savoury meals were freshly made and reasonably priced. A great way to spend an hour before peddling onwards.....

what a lovely place it is. The owner is excellent and the staff are so friendly especially Poppy. Helpful, courteous and a pleasure to meet. The food is freshly cooked to order and the choice is exceptional. The surprising thing about this lovely bistro is a garden which welcomes cyclists, walkers and dog owners. We sat in the sunshine at the weekend and enjoyed the most delicious bacon sandwiches, pots of tea and some home cooked fries all cooked and served absolutely beautifully. The home made cakes on display looked scrumptious as did the scones. A lovely afternoon. As all the food is freshly cooked to order the wait is well worth it. Thank you.
