Parsons Bakery - Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire

Cakes were decent but avoid the sausage rolls at all cost, I’d recommend increasing the price slightly but also increasing the quality.

Called in today 1 Sep 24 as my wife had a craving for a Cornish Pasty. Although they had sold out, the bread pudding looked good so I had that along with a good quality coffee. We sat outside and watched the world go by as we consumed our purchases.

We like Parsons Bakery for a quick snack or coffee. The staff are always welcoming and friendly

We stumbled across this Bakery and noticed sign in window, baguette , cake, coffee £4.50. I enquired inside because this offer seemed too good to be true. I asked if it was either baguette or cake. The really, helpful and friendly assistant Zoe explained it was all of it. Choice of baguette, cake and type of coffee. She said we were welcome to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. I was astounded at just what fabulous quality everything was. We chose ham and cheese baguette and I can assure you it was really good quality ham and cheese freshly made. We chose a danish pastry which again was very fresh and a very generous size. Both had cappuccino coffee. Lovely coffee. I told Zoe at the time for that small amount of money I really hadn’t expected it to be such good quality. Thrilled.!! Zoe, is a credit to Parson’s Bakery. A delightful and very helpful young girl. Thank you so much. Two very happy customers. 100% recommend.

Turned up 10 minutes before closing (3.20pm) hoping for a takeaway coffee for our train journey home. The guy was counting cash so I asked if they were closed, even though the door was open. He sighed and said "yeah in about 5 minutes." I asked if we could get a takeaway coffee and got a blunt "everything is off." So we left. If you're closed, why don't you just lock the door? Why be so rude when you're technically still open? Lots of lovely independent coffee shops elsewhere, definitely avoid this one.

The worst sausage roll I think I've ever had. It looked OK and was well baked... However, it's filling is a punk mush, not dissimilar to Greggs but with less flavour. No discernable meat. The pastry is the best bit but even that lacked any flavour. It's definitely not as good as a Greggs sausage roll and it's almost twice the price. One to avoid!

I was having a bad day as couldn’t park in Bradford on Avon and had Dr appointment, I bought a take away coffee and took to Surgery with me and one of their excellent pasties for my Husband.

The staff were really friendly and we all had a good laugh while being served. The sausage rolls were excellent, lovely tasting sausage and light pastry

Gone from giving it 5 stars to 0, went in when they opened, they had nothing, went back an hour later, waited 10 minutes for them to serve 1 person.

Cute little bakery selling a lovely selection of breads, cakes and pastries and hot drinks to take away. After 2pm the cakes are £1. We bought vegan sausage rolls there for £1. Very friendly man serving and covid guidelines being strictly adhered to.

Friendly woman on tills. Unfortunately we arrived late so no hot food available, but cakes were very nice!

The staff were mid heated discussion and I was about to walk out when I finally got served. On their cups it states, “there’s an art to great coffee”, sadly it’s not an art they have mastered. Probably the worst flat white I’ve ever had, threw it away after a couple of sips. Didn’t have the energy to walk back and complain, and had feeling it wouldn’t have done much good.

I strolled down from The Tory to pick up 6 croissants first thing this morning for breakfast and every single one was doughy in the middle. They looked great from the outside, but needed more time in the oven before putting these out for sale. Very disappointing.

My Scottish five pound note was scowled at and described three times in a loud sulky voice as 'money that nobody wants'. I was so taken aback by the rudeness, that I didn't complain. I now have a loaf of bread that I don't want to eat because all I can see when I look at it is the thoroughly unpleasant shop assistant.

Smallish range of pastries and sweets, often sold out. Cheap though.

This baker sells very nice cakes, some of which are a little different, which makes a change. Unfortunately, for me the Pasties were disappointing, but being a Cornishman who sometimes makes Pasties, I am very picky. The pastry was nice but the filling was rather bland. It’s a shame because they looked very nice. Perhaps they need more seasoning.

I know we are in difficult times , however there is always a queue outside , and only I person serving . At busy times you would expect all hand to the pumps , but no , too busy leaning against the wall checking mobile phone , and another just shuffling cakes around on a tray , just get the customers served while you still have them because come middle of winter they won’t put up with waiting in the wet and cold . Love the bread and food but service tiresome .

Cycled to Bradford on Avon and needed a bite to eat. The pasty was delicious and the Australian crunch excellent. Covid measures in place and good value.

Good customer service, and custard slices... oh but no coronation chicken baguettes, but I'm just too choosy... Note for a small shop, very well kept and keeps town fed. Good quality bread available and good cakes, sausage rolls, pasty, etc oh sorry about coronation chicken comment but large range of other baguettes available for the modern eater... ie salad and cheese etc....

Grumpy sod working there. I will stick to Frome Parsons in future I think. No hot food to sell (was first thing to be fair) but if your after a cake at 8am, the world's your oyster.👍

Went in for a sausage roll. The guy was rude and and mildly aggressive despite my simple order, slamming around as if the very thought of serving offended him. To top it all off, the food was cold! One to avoid.

Nice brie and onion marmalade panini, great flapjack and decent cappuccino for £3.50. What's not to like 😁 ? Wife had custard slice (which she reckond to be the best she's had in a long time) and tea with her panini. Great for a quick pit-stop if you're in town and looking for a bargain lunch.

Great selection of sweet and savoury stuff.. Bit miserly on the portion of bacon in my bacon sandwich but I won't hold that against them. Saying by Bryan 2-3pm to pick up any cake for 50p!

Convenient stop on way to town. However, unhelpful girl on the till. Decided not to order due to limited choice and terrible attitude. Poor review left to inspire some staff training! Hope your visit is better!!

Stopped here for a bacon roll and coffee on our way to watch the charity duck dash bank holiday Monday .Sat outside watching the world go by while we enjoyed our snacks and drinks. Good value for the money,shame they ran out of hot cross buns but good selection of other cakes and savouries to choose from.

Bought ‘cheese and onion’ pasties today. They were meat! Unfortunately, the staff were disinterested in the implications, and were barely able to apologise. Take care!

Used this wonderful bakery whilst in Bradford-on-Avon, staff made us 4 ham and cheese sandwiches to order as we arrived early. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

Always stop here on the way through Bradford on Avon for a bacon sarnie and a coffee. Always service with a smile!

Called in for a treat whilst I was waiting for walkers to arrive on a later train and found this only 2 minutes from the station at Bradford on Avon and wished to give myself a treat before I started a long walkThe service was quick and there was a special offer on of a bacon sandwich and drink which I had time looked tempting - good to see prompt and efficient service and offer drinksA couple of tables outside and is open on a Sunday which is goodIt is a family run business in the south west and I keep finding branches in the most unexpected places and think that they deserve the credit

Great customer service, great food and we were lucky enough to sit at the wee table out front that you see in the photo. A great place to stop.

Food excellent, staff excellent but shop is way to hot inside, very unpleasant to stand and wait for your order could do with some air con as staff look withered in the heat. Otherwise a really good experience. Look after your staff and they will look after your business.

Just asked very last minute for some buffet platters to be made up and as usual Gemma and Andy came up with the goods! Always so helpful, Gemma literally produced some beautifully fresh and well garnished lunch for our clients and Andy kindly helped me carry the platters back to the office. Well done guys, keep up the good work!

Mediocre bakery chain. The 'hot' food is lukewarm at best, there are much better options available a little up the road into town. It gets an extra star for having very nice staff though.

Great little bakery! The food is fantastic, staff are lovely, both helpful and friendly. Bacon butties are to die for and have gone down very well with the whole office! Lovely to have this right on our door step -we'll be back!
