My family and I had the £4.50 meal deal baguette, cake and drink. The baguettes were massive and fresh. My only criticism is there was way too much nayo in the chicken baguette but delicious none the less. Good selection of cakes and drinks. Great value for money

Ridiculous sausage sandwich - 2 slices bread over inch thick each, bland sausages most ended in bin. Danish apple pastry undercooked - stringy like mozzarella cheese. Won't go there again.

Really super fresh breads and cakes very handy right in the heart of Ross. They sell coffee and pies and there are some stools so you can eat your pie or cake out of the rain. Service is good in here.

Expected there to be lots of bakers in Ross but there aren't. Finally found Parsons but only called in for bread and cakes both of which were very good. Next time I'll have a meal which will probably involve adding the fifth star

Lovely pasties. Unfortunately when asking for a ham and cheese salad roll I was told by the lady behind the counter that she is only allowed to make ham salad or cheese and would not put a bit of cheese into a ham salad roll. I would have been more than happy to pay the extra for cheese, think the management should review this policy as surely this is a business that wants to make money and keep their loyal customers happy. Is this just a rule in Ross on Wye or did I catch your staff member on a bad day?

This is a lovely place situated at the top of the hill near what I think is the corn exchange. Outside seating is available as well as a small area inside. I had a tuna melt which was lovely and some Halloween buns for the kids as a treat.

We were attracted by the sign outside advertising sandwich, cake and drink for £3.50 and couldn’t believe our good fortune - after all, this is 2018! Parsons was as good as its word and served us a bacon and cheese pastry, lardy cakes and a selection of teas and coffees to our taste. The staff were friendly and obliging. We sat outside at one of the two tables to consume our purchases. I recommend this bakery.

I went in initially for a pasty and found that it was half price on Saturday. I told the rest of the family and there was a rush. We ended up with five different types. Then it was cake time and the iced buns were as perfect as any I have ever tasted. Good value all round.

What more could you want when all you need is a decent coffee and pastie whilst on the move.Coffee was only a quid (good quality) and you can sit outside on the seats and tables provided if you want. Also do some lovely specialist breads you wont find elsewhere. There is also a branch in malvern which is equally as good. You would be a fool to miss out on this company.

A proper, old fashioned cake and bread bakery. Delicious, not so nutritious (a really sweet treat) but a very friendly welcome, terrific coffee (so says my husband) for not a lot of money. We will return to Ross on Wye and, whenever we don't want lunch, will each have one of their huge cakes instead! I'd love to have tried one the huge flapjacks, but they were very nutty. Can't win 'em all. Thanks, Parsons. Nicky, Martin, Alban and Christy (the non-twins).

We were staying on the Malvern View Country and Leisure Park for a weekend stay which we could not fault. However, we dined at The Old Barnhouse on the Saturday evening and unfortunately the food was terrible. We waited for nearly an hour and when the food arrived it was half cold. My mother and father had scampi and chips, no peas and they were out of tartare sauce! My sister and I had the New Yorker chicken which consisted of a huge portion of coleslaw that wasn’t very nice and the chicken was small and if poor quality. My daughter had a kids pizza, chips and beans which was just about acceptable. The five meals and a round of drinks came to over £80 which was appalling for the quality of the food. Avoid The Old Barnhouse for food! Pleasant enough for a drink.

Rude, extremely disappointing, shocking and disrespectful staff! We arrived after making a booking the day before. I booked 2 Adults, 1 child aged 2. The booking itself was pleasant. We got slightly lost, rang in and again very pleasant. Arrived 7 minutes late and walked into a very ‘local’ pub feel. All eyes on us. We were told by the bar person that they were glad we found them. A woman appeared and looked at my Grandson and commented ‘we don’t have highchairs’ I commented that I’d booked ahead with a child on the booking? She said she would go down in the cellar and dust something suitable to bring up then asked me if I had a chair in my car???!!!! We approached the bar and I said I was confused as I’d booked a child ahead of coming. I was ignored, I said once again and the younger woman behind the bar looked at me and in a slightly raised voice utttered ‘well, yes she’s gone to get you something hasn’t she!!’ Based on this experience I told my Friend we were leaving as being treated like this was way beyond acceptable. I wasn’t happy and I let it be known! My Friend and I were left shocked and felt we had been treated appallingly by 2 extremely rude women. Whilst we were putting my Grandson in the car the older women came out and further patronised us with her offering of a dusted off cellar chair and we told her that her colleague was vile and it had gone beyond the chair. She walked off. Having read through the reviews I can see hands have changed and so this may be why I didn’t receive the reputation I had heard of. I have the feeling they felt they were above us! I’m not easily impressed so their Morgan cars and gold large Baroque chairs only further deepens my suspicions that they think they’re better 🤣🤣
