I had started work early due to sickness ( I work for the NHS ), I stopped at Parsons Keynsham for a drink as they very kindly give free to NHS badge wearers, I also hadn't had breakfast so I asked for a sausage roll, all I had on me was cash the lady said it's only card payment I said unfortunately I've only got cash she said ' we are only taking card payments ' I said I'm sorry ive only got cash she said ' you can have your drink then put my sausage roll back, I couldn't believe the way I was treated, to say i was annoyed embarrassed but most of all hungry what a way to be treated, finally the signs say card payment preferred

I ordered a veggie sausage roll from a parsons in Bristol, upon my first bite I realised I had been given a meat sausage roll. I have never eaten meat in my life and was horrified by this. Returned to the store and complained, the woman behind the counter simply replies 'oh whoops, didn't hear you.' not even a sorry!! Awful place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waited 10minutes to buy a sandwich because of very bad customer service. There's a party of three ahead of me that order bacon sandwiches and coffee. One of the ladies makes the sandwiches while a guy behind the till takes 10minutes to make two coffees because he's having a lovely time chatting away and never asks for another staff member to help serve. It finally comes to my turn and the guy turns to another customer, who's just walked in. I had been waiting patiently inline the whole time, but at that point I stepped forward and said that I was next and that I'd been waiting 10minutes. He looks at me and rolls his eyes and says, "we've been very busy", which I know to be rubbish because I've been standing there the whole time and he'd hardly done anything. He could have asked another staff member to quickly serve me while I was waiting (as is normally the case in any catering or retail job I've ever worked in - serving customers is always the priority). But it would have meant putting some effort into his job. I was in a rush and didn't want to stand there argueing so I handed him the sandwich I wanted and £10. He took the money, said "thank you" sarcastically and just stood there looking at me. I said "I'm sorry, what did you say?", He repeated his sarcastic "thank you" and continued to just look at me. I could feel myself getting angry, but contained it. I said, "there's no need for sarcasm, can I have my change please?", He then started to open the till and said "I wasn't being sarcastic", I said "you were and it's really rude." He handed me my change (mostly in 5ps) and I said a sarcastic "thank you" back and left. It was one of the worst customer experiences I think I've had in this country and it wasn't beaurorcracy or computer says no, it was just an idiot in an apron. The sandwich was ok

Place is grubby, deliveries were stacked all over the place. Not appealing to sit and eat. Coffee is average at best, Chelsea buns were dry and you could count the pieces of fruit. Staff were curt and could do with a little customer care training. Will not visit again.

My wife and I had not visited Keynsham for ages so we thought we would pay a visit to walk around for a couple of hours as it’s s lovely place with shops cafes We called into Parsons Bakery/Coffee shop on the high street for a snack and a drink it was almost full but I noticed it wasn’t as tidy or as clean as I would expect the assistant asked for our order so my wife’s wanted a pasty with a cup of tea and I ordered a panini and a coffee I was told we would have to have takeaway paper mugs and bags although we wanted to eat in and tea especially is much better in a cup than any paper mug they explained and were very apologetic that sorry they had to use all takeaway stuff (what a waste) as they were very short staffed and couldn’t wash up now this I could see as it was very busy and only two staff who were rushing about trying to cope with a very busy lunchtime I watched as several people left not wanting to wait although the staff were trying their best trying their best but we’re drowning I noticed a big pile of cleaning stuff and rubbish right in the eating area which was not a good impression the food was excellent as was the coffee what can say about tea in a paper cup so top marks to the staff for achieving this but the top management who’s responsibility it is for overseeing this Parsons Bakery/Coffee Shop should be ashamed that they could leave staff in this situation to cope by themselves without any support I or others could see a disgrace in management and ownership to leave staff in this situation

The prices are cheap and it is a good place to have a door step sandwich/toast for breakfast or a drink. There is usually a table free to sit on and they have a toilet upstairs. There is a high turnover of staff and most of them are rude and unfriendly. They always have lots of staff working at the same time, but are still very slow and often forget to bring out your drinks to the table. It’s suitable to visit for a casual drink/snack if you don’t want to spend much money and are not in a hurry.

Extremely rude staff. No line etiquette. We had 3 people served from behind us before us! 6 of us had pasty's only 2 were hot because they came from the oven. The other 4 were Luke warm at best. The staff are rude and abrupt. Made us feel we were an inconvenience making them do what they are paid for! Never AGAIN!

Not bad take away prices but the eat in prices are dearer than Harrods, £4.15 for a cheese and onion pasty, £2.95 for a coffee!!! Could not afford to take the kids there like we used to!! What happened to the best sausage sarnies in the South West and you lovely toasted tea cakes???? Scandalous prices.

Always stop here for what has to be the best value coffee around. £1 for any coffee, be it a black Americano or a full Latte. Have really nice daily specials on the pasties and cakes and also the meal deal is great filling value and all of this right in the hub of Lovely Wells High street.

I took my diabled mother for a trip and we went into Parson's Bakery for lunch it was a very disapointing experience. The customer service was very poor. The blond lady behind the counter had no manners and was very abrupt, no please or thankyou. I asked the lady at the counter if they did toasted sandwiches to these replied no. So I ordered a bacon sandwich and a sauage roll for mum with two teas. She bought the food over it was just slammed down on the table. I then asked if she had some salt, she said it was out on a table. I had already found a pepper pot she thats the salt. It was empty so I gave to her for refill. She snatched it from me and said we keep the salt upstairs. Some 10 minutes went by so I reminded her that we were still waiting for the salt. She then made a phonecall and the salt arrived shortly after, it was slammed down on the table with no sorry you were kept waiting or any comment. I fail to see why a cafe of this size only had only one small salt pot and the salt is not accessable to the staff. Over all this visit was not plesant. My mother is a regular customer of your branches and has never had reason to complain.

Today I spent the day in keynsham with my mum, we went into parsons bakery for light bite to eat- we asked for the bacon/sausage bap with a tea or coffe, this was advertised outside for £2.50, when we got into the shop they told us they had sold out, so they were no longer doing the deal anymore. My mum chose a sandwich at £1.95, I had a sausage roll at £1.25- they lady behind the till asked me if we were eating in or out (we ate in) at which point she told me the sandwich would be £2.85 an added 90 pence onto the sandwich just to eat in.. (I'm assuming the added 90p was for them to unwrap the sandwich, put it on a plate with the slices of cucumber and tomatoes and for them to deliver it to the table) she then went on and said with a cake and a drink it would then go up to £4.50 the cost of the food was £10.10 with a packet or Crips and a small apple juice. There was no sign to state there will be an added charge for eating in.. makes me think.. is there a time limit you have to eat your food in too?

Wanted a speedy .unchanged and coffee. The staff advised me of the meal deal and saved some money. The sandwich was good and fresh. The coffee was fine. Not the greatest of venues to sit in, but only there for a short time. Would call in again when in the area.

Problem with parsons is the pricing policy. Pasty of the day is £1.95, not exactly cheap and is usually the one that is not selling well. Any other pasty is £2.85. Very expensive for both savouries and bread products.

They have the most amazing cakes and fresh bread available daily. Staff could be better, happier to discuss other things than giving you good customer experience Take out coffee wide choice available, although price seems to vary from branch to branch? Can eat in here but wouldn't no atmosphere and very basic.

My review concerns the Wells branch, which is not, so far, on TA.The staff at that branch are rude and impatient. At 4pm,an extraordinary closing time, these people take-in the outside chairs & tables, leaving customers to stand in the street with their coffee & cakes!Happened more than once.Avoid!

Nous avons passés un bon moment pour boire un coup à l'apéro. Cependant, la serveuse est agréable au minimum et l'ambiance du pub est un peu sombre. Beaucoup de monde et prix corrects.

I do not recommend Ella's Cafe. Horrible experience popping in just for a coffee. Before we even sat down we were asked what we wanted. 2 coffees please. Do you take sugar? Yes please. Sat down and coffee brought to us. The coffee came with sugar pre added rather than sugar being brought to table. I take 1/2 a teaspoon and 2 heaped spoonfuls must have been put in, the coffee was undrinkable!!

In the area unfortunately for a funeral. Traveled down from North Wales. We could not fault the Riverside Inn. Our room was absolutely spot on. The whole place was spotless. Holly and the team were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
