Parsons Bakery in South Gloucestershire

Nice food and reasonable prices but shop hygiene needs to be looked at. When visiting the shop recently the lady serving licked her fingers on 4 occasions when serving. With Norovus endemic and COVID this should not be happening.. A habit that needs to be stopped

Jayne & chiara was amazing , they were so polite and professional & treated me well!

Go here alot for breakfast sandwich, how ever they must be cutting back, very little filling in sandwich compared to what they usually give, lovely granary bread with one sausage and smallest piece of bacon you could have. Please don't drop your standard on this or customers won't come back. You get more filling in Greg's now.

Jayne, Laura, June Carol, & Line are all amazing. Always a warm welcome when you go into the shop. Nothing is ever too much trouble always very helpful.

Just popped in to the kingswood branch . The staff in there are amazing !!! Just wish service was like it everywhere I shop . Sausage rolls amazing as always . Definitely the place to go .

I love this shop I go there most days for a steak pasty or a sausage sandwich and a coffee, the food is just fantastic so tasty! The staff are so friendly especially Laura and Jayne who are always so polite and lovely and welcoming as you enter! Plus there is a young woman called Ella who is lovely and also extremely polite! I recommend this shop to anyone!!!! Go see for yourself it is a very warm and friendly environment for everyone.

Almost every day I visit this Parsons on my break while I’m at work. The employees are so lovely, especially Laura, Lin and June! They always working with a smile, and are always happy to help out when needed. And if you go often enough they’ll remember your order! Chatting with these lovely ladies and getting my sausage rolls really brighten up my day. I’d recommend a visit to anyone!

Upsetting that I was not allowed to take a picture of the “Parsons” sign and the beautiful interior. Visiting from Canada and wanted to share the inside on my instagram and workers wouldn’t let me. Very strange especially since it was because it looked nice. Put me off buying the food. Most private restaurants don’t mind and actually would welcome the free advertising. Ended up going to greggs…

I honestly have no words to describe how lovely the three lady's working were today. I regrettably didn't catch their names but their customer service was phenomenal, made me feel so welcome and the value for the food is amazing. Will definitely be back!

Overpriced stale bread and the staff are incredibly rude.

The sausage rolls I have bought here are always pink and raw, never been able to swallow more than two bites at best. Not acceptable for the price.

Love this place just wish they sold there Australian crunch all year round

Lovely sausage roll custard slice and lattee

Have been a regular visitor for some time, yesterday I went in to buy sausage rolls, flies were all over the produce, cakes and baked goods; when I remarked and said I didn't want them anymore was met with the reply-in a very rude tone ' we can't keep flies out' considering how quickly flies lay eggs on things I won't be going back anytime soon. The seeming attitude that it was ok to have flies over the food is not ok. Bug zapper on the wall, door closed and cover the food, really not that hard to at least attempt to address the issue

Got a huuuuuuge sausage sandwich between two J.R. Tolkien book sized slices of bread that was amazingly soft, would visit again

Spotted one of the staff members talking really rather rudely to a young lady today, the lady in question had offered to give her change to their tip jar or charity pot if they had one and instead of a simple "sorry we don't do it" she got snapped at by one of the women behind the counter, put me off going in and spent my money elsewhere...

Really rude lady at the counter shouted at me because the shop was closed. Really disappointed with the service, I used to like this bakery but not sure if I will ever come back again.

I ordered a bacon and sausage doorstep sandwich,supposedly packed with bacon and sausage. I had one sausage In my sandwich, very stingey!

Parsons used to be great! But they are awful now, they basically fill all their pasty’s with potato as a filler to save money. The old cheese & onion pasty’s had like 2 different cheeses in was LOVELY! Now they are disgusting & just filled with potato, I’ve tried all of hen and they all taste the same! The steak isn’t even steak! It’s potato mince mush! So disappointed in them!

Staff are always friendly. Very good value for money, as with all Parsons'. Outdoor seating available, plus there are picnic tables in the precinct now anyway. They could do with a new toaster though - it burnt my toast!

Great place for a coffee and only £1. Selection of cakes and bread. There are a few seats to sit inside. Staff helpful. The bread pudding is delicious!

Tasty cakes. I purchased a vanilla slice (a little sweet for my liking), a custard slice and something like moon slice (I can't remember the name exactly). The latter was the best one too. All cakes were £1 after 2pm, which was nice. I with definitely visit again, the only problem being I live in Stroud!

Visited recently, ordered veggie sausage roll, bacon & cheese slice, plain sausage roll & 2 cappuccinos....veggie sausage roll was delicious, unfortunately, my hubbie commented that the bacon & cheese slice was very dry, & so was the sausage roll... overall, though, at £1 each we both agreed that the cappuccinos were absolutely perfect...👍 ☕️

Lovely food. Staff are always polite and friendly. The bakery has a good meal deal at the moment which is amazing value. I would recommend this bakery to anyone who likes a good pasty or cake.

Cheap and cheerful pasties, coffees and cakes. Staff are nice too :)

Every time you approach this shop you will be greeted with a visual extravaganza of all things cakey. With chalked boards outside the shop shouting out the daily special offers , and the shopfront window displaying a wide variety of freshly made cakes and bread. For me I'm like a kid in a cakeshop, you can also partake in a coffee should you wish, or takeaway if you prefer. There's also a nice range of fresh sandwiches and snacks also available. Far too expensive, and baker's corner is just down the road. That's as good or better, and it's about half the price.

Their Christmas pasties are delicious & coffee at £1 is a bargain 👍
