Parsons in Oakdale Blackwood. As a (very) regular customer to the Oakdale bakery, I can report that the staff are amazing, friendly, accommodating and quite a good humoured bunch with great personalities! They happily accept requests. Lisa has often put just one croissant in the oven for me and cooked it deliciously every time! Nice work ladies 💕

The pasty’s are very nice absolutely like the chicken supreme pasty. The prices are cheap and again reasonable staff are friendly too so would purchase from here again.

The young girl who served us today was so miserable. Clearly working there just for the money. No customer service skills whatsoever no manners. Why do the job when clearly you don’t want to work there. I was given the wrong item on my visit but she didn’t give me chance to correct her. She’s given me the food item in a bag before I knew it. She needs to be sacked

Good quality cakes. Vicky who served us is always lovely but some of the older ladies seem to have lost their smiles over the years. Vienese Finger nice but a tad over priced! Recommend the Nutella Danish & Somerset Apple Cake.

We ended up here for a snack as everywhere else we found in the town was very busy. It is situated in a shopping centre and has a few seats but not too many. We had coffees and a pasty and muffin and the food was delicious. The staff were good not great but very efficient.

Went to Parsons Bakery on Friday 10th September it was about 10am I ordered a cup of tea and a coffee with a cake for my dad, we sat down on the chairs provided, there was 2 young ladies sat on the next table, she was waiting for a baguette to be made up I said to my dad I will get a baguette made up for you. I Went up and asked if I could have baguette without butter as he doesn't like butter at the time there was no customers there was 2 people working one was serving and the other was preparing baguettes this female worker said to me what I wanted I asked for ham and a bit of salad she said rudely no you will have to have butter on it. I have never been taiked to like that she was very rude, what would happen in I was allergic to butter this attitude could seriously have seriously consequences this should not be happening in 2021 she shouldn't be working there she has no customer services no people skills bad attitude as a result I use to come hear every day I won't be coming back here again, one last thing after she told me no there was 2 security guards come up to the worker and asked for baguettes to be made up and she done them very strange as again I won't be back or my family and friends.

I recently went to parsons, it’s a busy little bakery tucked away in the sovereign centre, the queue goes down quickly and the service is good, they do great meal deals and I can’t really fault it.

Frequent here often as I love the food and so does my 2 year old niece but sadly my fondness for parsons is being ruined by an incredibly rude member of staff. An older blonde lady. Absolutely no need for such attitude. I get the same thing every single time so I’m not faffing or making her job harder yet she makes me feel so unwelcome and rushed. Seeing other reviews about this lady makes me think something needs to be done about it. It’s only a small branch so I like to support it but sadly I know visit greggs where the service is waaaay better.

I really enjoy going to Parsons, I especially love the festive pasties at Xmas. Much better quality then Gregg’s. One of the few places that have remained open during the pandemic, fair play to the staff for keeping everything running.

Parsons Bakery is a bright spot in the almost deserted Sovereign Centre during this latest lockdown. And it's adjacent to the seasonal glittery display a few yards away. So people should go and see both and buy some of the gorgeous varieties of freshly-baked bread, pasties and pastries on display under glass in the bakery. A mouth-watering sight, it is, too. They also serve excellent tea and coffee. Several people were queueing to snap up the goodies, properly distanced, of course. Very nice bakery, highly recommended.

I have to give this bakery ten out of ten for their gorgeous bread, scrumptious pasties, and delicious pastries. The bakery occupies a prime spot in Weston-super-Mare's Sovereign Centre. There always seems to be plenty of people queuing for the goodies, always a good recommendation. Staff are very pleasant to deal with and the shop counter is set out attractively with lots of lighting. Highly recommended.

I used to like their Bread Pudding it was nice for years but I think they've put "mixed peel" in it now, which I dislike, so, a game changer, wont be buying that again. Apart from that, no problems, friendly staff, good discounts on items near end of day.

After avoiding this bakery for the past 2 years due to a stone cold pasty i purchased, the same blonde haired lady was as rude to me today as she was previously was even though I tried to make conversation with her several times, then after purchasing a seasonal rum truffle that was just thrown in the bag as she was cleaning, it just resembled crunchy sugar so sickly sweet with tasteless warm chocolate & where was the rum flavoring, extremely disappointing & totally inedible, The staff here need to visit Wells & get training on how to cook, plus how to talk to people with dignity & respect, no wonder it's never that busy whenever i visit the Sovereign Centre as good manners cost nothing!

Classic case of "I don't care" service. 08:58 this morning - "Hello, could I have a Bacon roll and a coffee please"? "Not until 9 O'Clock" "Oh, could O give you my order now" "NO, NOT UNTIL 9 O'Clock" "Er OK it is now 08:59, if I give you my order now I am happy to wait until after 9 for you to give it to me, does that work"? "NO I SAID WE DON'T SERVE ROLLS UNTIL 9 O'CLOCK" Less time on Collagen and more of Customer Service would be great - I went around the corner to Gregs and got a very nice Bacon Roll.

Advertising a smash burger for £8.. what was actually served was a fairground style low quality burger which was oddly over peppery 🤔 These guys had bad organisational skills and little to no idea what a smash burger actually is .. eg fresh smash minced beef. No option for cheese in the price either. Lady seemed pleaser enough and accommodating for dogs. Staff girl seemed insolent. DO BETTER!
