Perfect! Best pie meal ever had with yummy chips and greenest broccoli have ever seen! Kathy so lovely. Very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous food and great service. We dropped in as we passed hoping they would be serving food on a Tuesday lunchtime. The welcome was lovely and the food was delicious. Really hearty pub food, with a great selection of pies and pastas, along with lots of traditional pub dishes. It felt very home cooked and not bought in, great portion sizes too! Not to be overlooked at all, it felt very friendly and we all felt very welcome.

Came in when doing a walk round Buxton and Harpur Hill and in need of a drink. We found it to be really friendly and Luca the dog was chilled despite his big size

Decided to go to the Parks for a Christmas meal with work friends and we were not disappointed. The food was fabulous all freshly cooked and there was plenty of it. The staff could not do enough for us. We are local to Buxton and have had many christmas meals over the years and I can honestly say this was definitely one of the best. So if you are wondering where to go, try the Parks Inn at Hapur Hill.

We stopped here early evening on a Sunday without a booking because our walk had taken a lot longer than expected. We were a group of 6 and were relieved they had space for us and we had just managed to catch the end of the carvery. The landlady was very welcoming, as were all the staff. The pub has a nice family atmosphere and was walm and cosy, especially after a long walk in the drizzle! The carvery was absolutely delicious. One of our party was vegan and was very greatful she could have almost everything on offer, something we didn't expect to find since we were turning up with no pre-warning. The owners dogs are gentle giants and we enjoyed their company. We would definitely recommend this place and were glad we found it!

Lovely place, we visit when we can. Last time was before Christmas. The landlord & landlady are lovely and attentive, the pub is always warm with a great selection of music playing. The staff are lovely too. Food was great, only niggle is the huge increase in children’s meals - £10 almost for any child’s meal and they are just your basic offerings. We had the child spaghetti bolognaise and it knocked the wind out of my sails, because it was clearly pre-made and frozen, reheated and put on top of fresh spaghetti. There was no garlic bread or even offering of cheese. £10 for a meal that costs no more than £4-5 to make, is baffling. Also saw the mixed grill was almost £27 - again, one of the most expensive mark ups we’ve come across. Had we not been so fond of the place already we would have gone elsewhere - it truly is an example of why it’s getting too expensive to eat out. I’ve never been to an establishment where children’s meals are so expensive - ever - and we eat out a lot all over Derbyshire. Only other grumbles are the steak sauce was sour and my mum was charged £1.00 for a dash of lemonade which was flat and she couldn’t taste in her wine. Another expensive markup - other places charge 60-80p which is still a rip off but £1.00 is beyond. The staff kept checking everything was okay, and I agree I could have mentioned this at the table but they were clearly busy and my little one was becoming fractious and unsettled. It’s not the end of the world, we would return, because we love the place and we try to support local where we can but even that’s getting difficult when markups are like this and you have the lure of cheap and cheerful Marstons or Greene King - but you can’t beat that family feel, that feeling of knowing you’re supporting humble people as opposed to a corporation. We just wouldn’t be ordering a wine & lemonade, mixed grill or bringing the child to keep the cost down!

What a fabulous little pub! We were staying just over a mile down the road and had a lovely walk out to get some lunch. The owners and staff were very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. There were 11 of us and we had table service both for our meal which was excellent but also later on when in the bar area. The food was very good and excellent value for money; everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they had. Generous portions and all home cooked. Kids had desserts which were just as good as the mains. We would highly recommend this pub to anyone after high quality food which and a welcoming environment.

Just had lunch here today, and have to say it was the most lovely meal. Between us we had parsnip soup, beef casserole, cheese & onion pie and gammon steak, and it was all absolutely delicious. Lovely friendly staff too. We will return, when we can hopefully manage dessert as well! Also a bonus to have a decent alcohol free beer available (Doom Bar 0.0), which many places don’t.

Visited on a quiet, wet Tuesday and had a lovely lunch. Landlord and landlady both very friendly and a great menu. The balsamic tomato soup was superb, followed by a lovely minted lamb shank. Everything looked home made, well presented and tasted delicious. Recommended.

The dogs are lovely but the restaurant is not the place for them Staff are very friendly it’s a shame about the landlady though I think she upsets a lot of the customers from what people say Food is first class

Parks Inn was recommended by the owners of the accommodation we stayed at in Buxton and it didn’t dissappoint. Warm and friendly-both the staff and the regulars. It was quiet when we arrived around 5.30 but got busier and that was a Wednesday night! The staff were attentive and service was swift. They menu was good and the food was delicious- big portions! I didn’t have my dog with me this time but it was good to see it was dog friendly and the ‘resident’ dogs were lovely! Would definitely recommend!

Very friendly staff and good service. Only decided to eat there after reading previous reviews because you wouldn’t stop if you just drove past as there is no kerb appeal or adequate parking but the food was excellent.

My family and I along with 2 dogs visited Parks Inn for Sunday lunch. The staff were so lovely and the chef even gave our little pups some treats. The carvery was delicious, a big serving and very very tasty. A wonderful pup suitable for families and doggos. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

I have to be honest when we pulled up I wasn't sure, but never judge a book by its cover👍 The young girl who took my booking was obviously doing everything, she certainly earns her money she was polite, pleasent, efficient extremely helpful & didnt stop for our entire visit, she was serving beer, taking food orders, serving food, glass collecting & clearing tables. The food was amazing, we both had 1/2 rack of ribs and they were so well cooked they fell off the bonę full Marks to the chef👍🍗

I have never been to a pub serving food that did not serve coffee. It is fair enough if they do not want to invest in a fancy barista machine but there was not the slightest offer of any alternative. The landlord could do with some customer service training. My wife walked in and started looking for the ladies loo, which was greeted with “where are you going?”. The ploughman’s lunch we had was nice, with very generous cheese helping and a warmed baguette, but I am not inspired to return there.

This is the second time we have visited The Parks Inn as we regular holiday in the Peaks. Again we were not disappointed. The owners and staff are incredibly accommodating and chatty. The food is just amazing and value for money. I get the Pie each time - the chips are homemade and gorgeous! The staff keep an eye on your drinks and will ask if you are wanting more, they clear your plates efficiently instead of sitting waiting around and will check if you’re happy with everything. The pub itself is cosy but enough room.

The owners are so horrible to staff and treat them with no respect they are either telling there staff off or sat behind the bar drinking .

Just had the best Steak and Stilton pie I’ve ever eaten with chips to die for. Great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Dog friendly and the enormous pub dogs are great. Going again tomorrow.

We had a lovely meal at this pub a couple of weeks ago. The owner is really friendly and as a dog owner myself - I loved that this pub was so dog friendly.
