Parklands Sports Club Ltd in Knowsley

My wife and I held our joint 70th birthday party celebrations at Parklands. The catering was in-house. The staff were friendly and very helpful despite having had a late night due to a party the previous night, and we were very pleased with the catering, especially as 3 extra children turned up unannounced and they cheerfully provided 3 extra meals

This was our first visit last month, we were pleasantly surprised and we would use it again. The location of the venue is in a good position, accessed off a main road

Absolutely brilliant night at the parklands we were there for a Wedding reception, the staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable evening. Can’t thank them enough, highly recommended for any event. Special thanks to Vivienne, Sean, Michael, Samara, Alfie and Sharon

Superb service from all Parklands staff last night for my daughters 18th birthday party. Everyone was well looked after and had a brilliant time. The food was excellent as was the service.

I visited last night with a group of friends. We hadn't planned on eating but we did. I have only ever had buffet food when visiting Parklands on previous occasions. There is a good selection of food choices on the menu. I ordered halloumi and chips, my go to meal when I go out. This absolutely did not disappoint. Hand cut chips, crispy batter, not greasy, beautifully presented. I would say the quality was on par with my favourite place to have this meal, at Parklands it is half the price! I would definitely recommend this venue for food and drinks. The outdoor set up is fantastic, lots of space, with tables under huge marquees

Have visited again since the lifting of restrictions and have to say that I’ve felt safe and comfortable in their newly adapted layout. They’ve installed an outside bar with marquees and the tables inside have been spaced to ensure that social distancing can take place effectively. Hand sanitisers everywhere and table service is in place to keep every sat and distancing. Also had some of the bbq food and was very impressed. Overall glad this place is back open.

We were here for an 18th birthday party. Large enough to hold over 100 people. There is also a bar. Wheelchair accessible with toilets on the ground floor. Ample parking. A great venue to celebrate any occasion.

Brilliant night .. great staff and food was excellent too ... recommend for any function . The staff did all the hard work . The disco was good . Catered for all my needs

Went to the parklands for lunch one Saturday the go food was nice we ordered the sharing combo but the only problem was we didn’t get any cutlery or side plates or serviettes.

Went to a friends 30th Birthday party in the Frank Myler suite in Parklands. What an excellent venue to hold any function, the beautifully decorated room, excellent hardworking staff and the whole atmosphere made for a perfect evening. Cannot wait to visit again! Well done Parklands.

i came across parklands on the internet they had an offer on, so we decided to try, there was no choice , just one option,, curry chicken rice poppadom naan bread and sweet chutney followed by a pint,, all this for fiver,, cant afford to stay home, parklands has a five star rating from halton council on its hygeine, the staff were very pleasant, they do other things throught the week plus saturday and sunday breakfast a full english the prices are rock bottom give them a try

Parklands are now serving breakfast of a weekend. Just had a veggie breakfast with a green tea for £4.95. Bargain!! Noticed that they have also been rated 5 star for there food hygiene rating too. Polite friendly staff and didn't have to wait to be served. We'll be back!!

Had a superb evening for my daughters 18th. The room looked amazing, the staff were attentive and quick to sort any queues at the bar. Disco Dave had the dance floor bouncing. I’ve used this place a number of times and I’ve never been let down. Nina, Paul and their staff work their socks off. Long may it continue.

Had a lovely late breakfast to celebrate Mother’s Day, food was delicious, service & staff perfect, can’t wait to go back, even had a cheeky vodka as was on a house special 👍🏻👍🏻 will deffo be back soon

It was our 1st visit here, 8 of us turned up for breakfast. Very warm and friendly welcome.All ordered a full english breakfast did not wait to long. It came out all together.One of the tastiest breakfast we have had in a long time.we will deffo be back.would reccomend it. you get a full english breakfast for £3.95 tea ,coffee, ect £1 extra.50p extra for added items.

We loved the decor, layout, great parking, DJ, bar staff, clean venue etc. but manager Nina is not consistent and makes promises she has no intentions of delivering. It’s not only our family she has let down, 3 other families we know had the same experience with her. Double books events, closes bar early, no check lists or contract, poor email communication, not onsite at event. Find an alternate venue until they replace current management.

Did not seem to bad till we got to the buffet time and that most of the guests had not had any tea because of the early start to the function we were looking forward to the buffet well it was awful the staff had faces on them like a wet lettuce and the food was much the same pies were soggy samosa not edible sausage rolls looked as though had never seen the inside of an oven and on it went then at 10-30 we were told last orders please at 10-40 we were given plastic tumblers to put our drinks into them and leave the premises we were told to step outside the gate which was then locked we all stood there and rang our taxis 50 minutes later our taxi came good job it had not been raining never again. ..

Superb venue, superb staff, superb throughout. Booked a surprise 40th for a family member and the guys at Parklands couldn't do enough for us. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!:

Yo y compañero no han sido en los parques por un tiempo debido a su enfermedad. Siendo tarde del sábado nos pop, mi marido fuimos al bar me. e. él tenía un golpe que ha efectuado su discurso. Los hombres hombres bar le hicieron sentir así que poco que un tío visto durante su estancia en el bar con sus amigos ofrecen mi marido en intentar ayudar a ordenar dos bebidas. El miembro del personal masculino no molesta mi pareja. Cuando volvió él explicar a mí que nunca había sentido tan ser poco con su disabilitie y tiene su confianza atrás. llamó Fui y enfoque el bar, ya que era un bastante tarde y preguntar podían haber bastante palabra explicando mi esposo había tenido un derrame cerebral. Él nos miraran a su espalda y a pie. En el pasado yo no este club hace un montón de trabajo y estoy sorpresa que chartie empleado un miembro del personal que está claro para las personas discapacidades ningún pensamiento. Mi confianza ha desaparecido y sus socios que quien tiene que hacer la gente por asistir o enfoque de los estados bar macho de personal.

Thursday curry nights are a must!! Great value for money and good portions. No need to book just turn up and eat. Nice patio to sit out on in the summer.

Fuimos a los parques recientemente para ver el fútbol sólo viven al otro lado de la carretera, pero no tienen ambiente deportivo bt era buena, las bebidas estaban a un precio razonable y nos dieron gratis graneros chip en el medio tiempo. Un bonito detalle volveremos.

Recientemente ha sido de Parklands dos veces, una vez para una noche de presentación y, en segundo lugar, por un evento de caridad. Me pareció que la habitación era moderna, limpia y bien separadas, considerando 140 personas en la antigua.

Excelente.. Habitación encantadora. Personal amable. No podía hacer lo suficiente para mí el mejor de la noche. Le recomiendo a todos que tienen una función. Muchos de los clientes de comentar lo bonito que era el lugar desde el aparcamiento a la comida. Fue una excelente noche y que no olvidará. Muchas gracias. Parklands. Nina, Claire. El club ha sido transformado con arreglo a los nuevos propietarios y ahora es un valor añadido a Widnes y la comunidad local.

We spoke with a lady recently about a future buffet, we were not impressed with the general feel or attitude towards us and got the impression that inexperienced staff would be doing the actual buffet. The place looks a lot better now, just get the impression they are trying, but don't get the idea its not working.

The transformation of The Parklands Club over the past 2 years, brought about by Viv and Mark, is nothing short of astonishing!!!. With virtually every area, both internally and externally, having been improved and upgraded to a level that makes it an absolute pleasure to not only visit for any number of reasons, but certainly for me and I would imagine the vast majority of my neighbours in the surrounding residential areas, the added bonus of the massively improved aesthetics to the exterior and the benefits that brings to the whole appearance of the entrance and drive into the Parklands and Ash Priors estate.The provision and range of activities and facilities, catering for almost any occasion to suit both young and old, supported by a wide choice of beverages, whether alcoholic or non and the quality food/meals on offer, are a testament to the lofty standards set by Viv and her team.Those that have used the club and facilities will appreciate the substantial efforts made to support and improve the local community, those that haven't, I can only suggest you give it a try, because i feel you are quite likely, missing out big time !!!

Have been visiting the Parklands Club since the early 70's. So obviously must suit me. It as changed a lot over the years. From a function room with music groups to basically a social sports club. Val and Mark (The owners)have put a lot time effort and money into the club. No Snooker Pool or games now just a much improved and refurbished function room and bars. The outside appearance as been improved greatly making it a more it more like a trendy wine bar

We have been here a few times as it is local and usually quiet which I like. Staff are very friendly, food is great and prices are very reasonable. Will visit agin

We had my fathers funeral at the Parklands on the 11th of September. What a difference a refurb makes. I take my hat off to all involved the rooms are excellent the staff polite, professional and efficient. The food was of a decent standard as well. From here on in this is were we will be holding all of our family functions. Many thanks to all.

This place is awful. I went there with friends as it was recommended by others but what a sham. I had the fish that might aswell been swimming back in the sea as it came soaked it water. The service was awful. Don't get me wrong the place looks decent but that's about it. Another friend had the wrap that had mold on the bottom of the bread and the chicken inside was cold. A few times we called over the staff but in the end we stopped as it was becoming embarrassing and we began to feel sorry for them. Other than the food and the local drunks at the bar shouting and don't have a full set of teeth between them it was good to just catch up with some friends.

The parklands has been recently renovated by its new owners, completely transforming the club. This evening I had the cheeseburger and chips. It arrived promptly and was well presented. The burger was homemade and and there was plenty of cheese. The chips were homemade, a great addition and much better than the frozen chips that some of the local pubs/restaurants offer. To top the meal off it was accompanied by some fresh salad on the side, a great little addition that shows the chef wants to go that little bit further to make everything perfect. The drinks in the club are very well priced, providing great value for money all round.The new owners are a breath of fresh air for the club, once it was nothing more than a social club, but its now a high quality family owned venue that is a fantastic addition to the area and should definitely be considered if you're looking for a bite to eat.Will most definitely visit again!
