Quality far inferior to others in town. Look at the state of this sausage provided (see picture). Chips were cold too. Really poor, far better options.

Fish was clearly not fresh and tasted/smelled like ammonia, couldn’t eat it and had to go to the bathroom soon after. Looks like they have new staff running the place which might explain it, my guess is they’ve gotten lazy with meat produce to save money.

decent chips. the ones that were edible. they scraped the bottom for mine. shame they didn't cook the burger fresh. and the bun had to be microwaved. we all love a soggy bun after it being in a carton, don't we!. I've used this place for years when visiting tenby. might have something to do with the new owners/staff. they didn't look like they wanted to be there. they just stare at you it's quite unsettling. the one didn't look very sober 🙈

We went here this evening for our supper. £29 I didn't know whether to eat it or frame it. The fish tasted off and the Chips were not home made they were frozen chips oven it looked like. We always use to come here but it must be new owners because it was absolutely awful. I wasted mine. The mushy peas were watery and tasted off aswell. Avoid with caution. Never again.

Felt very sad for one of the employees here, felt that there was lack of inclusion going on. Food was nice but feel its not as good as it used to be.

Used to come here often, years ago. Used to be the BEST. Clearly has new owners from when I used to come. Staff didnt seem over friendly tbh but Im there for the food not a chit chat. Had Cod chips and mushy peas, was excellent. Id rather nice food and shabby customer service than the other way around personally 🤣

It was very quiet when we were there. However, our meal was really fresh, piping hot, and the usual excellent standard. Highly recommended 👌

If I wanted fish with my chips I would of ordered it !! I absolutely detest fish in any way or form . Was not impressed that my large chips were covered in disgusting chip batter resulted in me not eating them

Very disappointed with the food today. Batter was almost 1cm thick on my fish and very 'cakey'. Really disappointed. Sausage and chips was OK.

On our visit the fish batter was a little soggy, chips were slightly under done for our liking. Mushy peas great and a nice mug of tea.

Visited on the 5th of September around 5pm for fish and chips, I picked the large cod and chips for both of us and took them back to the apartment. We stay for a week in Tenby around 5 times a year. Have been here before and they were good, we used to go to feccis but they are not the same as they were, not the same quality and service has gone downhill, this time park road was not just good they were excellent. The fish was pure white inside in a really (I mean really) crispy big and fat free batter. the chips were also excellent. Queue time was around 10 minutes as they cook the fish from fresh which I prefer to wait for. I also notice that there were a lot of locals buying here which is always a good sign for me as they can vote with their feet.

It was the best fish and chips in Pembrokeshire (and I have had a go at quite few!). That was until they sold up. Then the place burned down and when they reopened the magic touch was gone. The staff that were working there were gone, and the new guys are giving it a good go, but they just don’t have that magic touch need to take fish and chips up a few notches. We’ll give it another go in the winter, but we used to like going in there every fortnight, as it was that good. I even had a cousin that would make a 140 mile round trip from Gorseinon because he liked it so much. Hopefully, they can get it back on track.

Always good service and quality food and not over priced

Possibly the most pale chips I've had and first thoughts were that they weren't cooked but they were hot. The fuity curry sauce is amazing

Overall not the best fish and chips in the world, or probably in Tenby, but sit-in was what we wanted and we left with full stomachs. Fish are not very big, but otherwise it was OK but nothing more

This is by far the best chip shop in Tenby. The food and service are both outstanding.

If you like your chip in a half cooked mulch your fish batter undercooked this is the place for you absolutely awful don’t think anyone in there knows how to cook but full of tourists so they probably do t care

Would agree with some other recent reviews that the interaction with staff is minimal but the food itself was very good. Cooked to order and the fish was excellent. We had one portion of large chips between us which was more than enough. It was recommended by a local guy as the best in town

This chip shop has clearly been taken over by new management. Awfully disappointed in my return after a couple of years ( or more). The staff were surly never saw 1 smile or comment, cearlyrather be anywhere than there! the seats were sticky. cutlery was blotchy. We ordered cod and chips(twice) and chicken nuggets and chips ( twice). The food took a while to come, which was good as it meant it was being cooked freshly. The chips looked very anaemic when they arrived, with lots of small bits of chips.. They were bland and pretty tasteless. The cod and chicken nuggets looked lovely, but the batter was so hard and crisp we couldn't cut through it, although they were not salty. Inside the cod, the ends were hard and very much overcooked, in fact my husband left his after trying to pick his way through the batter. Very much disappointed after our previous wonderful visits.

Great tasting fish and chips and not bad prices. Really nice fruity curry sauce too. We will be getting it from here again in the future. Cooked just how we like it. Crispy batter and nice inside, not squidgy/soggy or dry. The kids portion of fish and chips I would suggest is small enough to feed up to an 8 year old. It was way too small for our 11 yo, but you never know the size until you get it. But we know now!

This place felt quiet, and no locals…this should have been my first warning. Chips are bad and hair found in my food..twice. Walk in and you will see why - do not let fatigue and desperation fool you into buying from here. Two doors before the food and quality is much better. You have been warned

We popped in for a jacket potato with chicken curry and a chicken curry with a small portion of chips. We ordered our food and waited 10 to 15 minutes. The food was a bit slow coming considering we was the only people there. We went and sat down and had our food. I had the jacket potato with curry. My partner had the chicken curry with chips. The jacket potato was OK. The chicken curry wasn't brilliant. My partner wasn't overly fussed with his curry. It tasted like school curry. The chips were OK. Overall I would not have the chicken curry from there again.

Never come across such poor customer service . No please or Thankyou whilst ordering at the till .brought the food to the table and then had to wait for cutlery etc. frozen chips just don’t cut it !! Wasn’t cheap either . No customers in there apart from 4 of us .now I know why . Won’t return on our next visit to Tenby . Never felt so uncomfortable to be honest. Staff just stood behind the counter staring like we had done something wrong . Doesn’t even deserve the 1 star . Fish was like a Birds Eye slab out of the box from Iceland .

Visited with family and chose this place as we wanted to eat inside. Restaurant area was fairly quiet considering it was Saturday lunchtime. We were handed a menu on arrival and told to order food at the till when ready. Fish was cooked fine but slightly odd aftertaste from the oil used. Way too many chips and they weren’t anything special to want to get through them all. I would have expected peas included for the price paid. Ketchup was cheap and nasty. The service and general setup is very much a no-frills experience with the atmosphere of a motorway service caff. A no-frills approach and lacking a few basic ‘heirs and graces’ from a staff friendliness perspective. Not terrible but I wouldn’t return.

Still one of the best chip shops in tenby, portions are large so share if not hungry. Clean and tidy.

First of all I read the reviews, secondly it was close to our hotel and we were tired and it shuts at 8:30pm. We arrived at about 5:30, walked in and the young man just gave me a piece of paper in a plastic wallet this was the menu. I had to go to the till to order so ordered 2 x Haddock and chips, the mushy peas are not made from scratch they come out of a tin so for £2, I gave them a miss. A small bottle of wine was £4, that was given to me at the till point, glasses were bought over later, with the two glasses of water I had asked for, water wasn't cold [so hadn't let the tap run or put in ice cubes]. The knives and forks for both of us were wrapped together with 2 paper serviettes. The fish and chips arrived, which in reality was a plate of very light golden brown chips [could have done with an extra minute or two in my opinion ] topped with beautiful crisp golden brown fish, this was delicious the batter was crunchy and light and the fish was very nice. The 2 x Fish & Chips cost £22. However if you had bought it separately and took it away 2 x fish would have cost £13 and one portion of chips about £3 a total of £16, so £6 j to sit inside. we would have the fish and chips again, but not in the restaurant, not because of the price difference but because of the service which was non existent .

Came here with my husband and kids on a very rainy Bank Holiday and it was such a lovely visit. The food was so tasty, a good portion and the service was wonderful. I had cod, my husband had curry and my kids had sausages. The staff were so nice and friendly and really good to my little boys. Would definitely recommend :)

Huge pile of chips, fish not bad but the idea of good customer interactions was not on the menu. Fish and Chips for four at lunchtime, equivocal service, hot food and good value portions, but need some characters behind the counter if this place is going to thrive.

We were staying in Tenby doing a large order for a party of 7. All the other local places had run out of basic things such as sausages or pie. They were able to give us everything we needed and the sizing was really decent. Have previously sat in many years ago and they didn't disappoint then and was amazing this time too. Thank you 😀

Definitely gone downhill since reopened

We both had Haddock and Chips , wife had small chips I had medium, to be fair though there was plenty in the small portion. The Haddock was cooked well and was nice, the chips were a little soggy but to be honest tasted nice. Overall after waiting a few years to revisit after their unfortunate fire we both enjoyed our fish and chips , we didn't find many other places in Tenby that did Haddock whilst they were closed , so were pleased that they were open again serving nice Fish and Chips :-) .

There were a few things that amounted to this place being a really bad experience. Despite buying two meals ~£16 the food was only served in one box, which when you're buying it to takeaway and eat on the beach is abit unhelpful. This would ahve been fine had they just given us another one, but they insisted in charging us for this... Not on really. The food also left alot to be desired, the mushy peas were very watery which again when you're eating it to takeway is less than ideal. The veggie battered sausage was just vegetables in a sausage shape which was disappointing and not clear. We also noticed a small amount of mould on the cheese of our cheesy chips... 👎

Chips were really nice even though we had to wait 30 hour for two plates of chips. The toilets were disgusting. Disfraceful for a place selling food. The public toilets down the road were cleaner. When ordering my food the man serving me didnt even look up. Found him very rude. Floor and tables were dirty.. Very dissapointed as we have always used this place.

They say their open hours are until 8:30 p.m but if you show up after 8:00 p.m they have already closed down the fryer for the fish i.e. no fish and chips only chips. So probably an ok fish and chips shop but not after 8.

Visited Park road fish bar today on a visit to Tenby,we have always had fish and chips here in the past,but since the fire at the business and change of ownership and some poor recent reviews,we didn' t know what to expect. We were not...

We have eaten here on quite a few occasions 5 stars for food - it's yummy 5 stars for service - always friendly and they all work hard A few things let them down I am afraid . Menus need to be redone . The old ones are tatty and worn . Need more toilets . One is not enough . PLEASE change your tomato sauce. It's AWFUL. Ruins a lovely meal. (We bring our own sorry to say)

Meh, cheap condiments, watery fish with oily batter wasnt a nice mixture sloshing around in my mouth, and didnt have slushy which is on the menu i mean come on… i want a slushy, oh the menu looks like its from 10 years ago wrapped in a dirty old plastic wallet, no handle on toilet either. FAO management - print new menus, paint the dining area, put a handle on the toilet door, provide WIFI and do general hygiene. Get decent sauces also not cheap rubbish that ruins the food.

Top chippy and the prices were very reasonable

I like places that give you value for money and this place is very good..... A mountain of perfectly cooked chips and a lovely haddock, mushy peas bread and butter.... With a glass of red wine . Nice clean establishment with disabled access. Large seating area . Well worth a visit

Great to see the Park Rd Fish & Chip Shop back in action after the terrible fire that occurred at the premises approximately 12/18 months ago. Pleased to report that the standards are still high and thoroughly enjoyed the food we had last week.

We went here in August on a Sunday when there were fireworks in Tenby harbour, it was very busy and they were still serving past 8.30 when they were meant to close at 8. We ordered and when I went to pay, but card kept being declined for an order of around £20. I was virtually about to tell me two hungry and slightly tired children that we couldn’t have anything, when the lady serving us said I could just take our order and pay tomorrow! She would have no idea if I would be there, or even come back. This was such a great act of kindness and it meant the world to us, as I was able to feed my children and it made the evening for us! The food was amazing, we especially love the fruity curry! We came back the next day and paid and have been back every time we are in Tenby. Thank you ever so much for being so kind and trusting. I can’t think of another business that would do this. It would have been so easy to have turned us away. I am incredibly grateful and have told everyone to visit this chip shop! The lady in question is in the picture. She is worth the visit alone!

Me and my son we when there last Wednesday night. The was amazing it's well worth it. Big meals for take out. The chips one best one we have had. The medium and the large will be really good size. What ever one u pick you be happy. There lots choice to pick from. You can all so sit in if choice. Not be disappointed.

Reasonable price and food. Very busy because it is in an amazing location. Staff were barely polite and not welcoming in the slightest. I said to one on the way out, " thanks, very nice", he stared at me and didn't answer, but he did grunt. Managers and owners..... If you're one of these then you need to observe and coach your team. Do not treat your customers with such utter contempt.
