Was passing by the area and called in - glad we did. Food was amazing, really good homemade food with a large selection of cakes and desserts. Service was quick even though they were busy. The staff were very attentive and so friendly. There is a garden centre and a well stocked farm shop attached. Car park at front and rear. Will visit again when next in the area.

Exceptional pies and cakes- proper Lancashire grub! It’s like going back in time- old fashioned tea sets and carpets make this place charming and set the theme for the outstanding Lancashire food they cook. You must try the steak and cheese and onion pies( oh and the roasts, quiches, homemade soups and not to mention the best afternoon tea you’ll find for miles around!) I’ve been coming here for over twenty years and it’s as exceptional as ever. Jo

I took my sister for her 77 birthday with my husband and 2 friends. We had afternoon tea but at lunchtime. Everything was beautifully prepared and served. The food is so tasty and plentiful. My only gripe! A service charge was added (which I didn’t know about) as I didn’t pay the balance of the bill another party member did as I had aid deposit. I had left a generous tip at the table, so I hope our waitresses got double.

I would just like to say that I've had plenty of meals and a few afternoon teas here and I noticed someone complaining about their afternoon tea, well I was there that day, mothers day and I can honestly say that there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of it, the sandwiches did have butter on them and the staff were very accommodating with the fillings, if u didn't like any of them they would have changed them to what u wanted, to be honest some people are never satisfied, the food and staff are in my opinion first class.

Ok as it was Mums birthday 88 I said pick where every you want to go. Park farm. So off we went arrived told them it was mums birthday today Ordered mum steak pie. And me cheese lion pie don’t do chips never have I was told. Ok go for new potatoes. Meal arrived very tasty. But I realised it was a small portion 1 little piece of broccoli. Few carrots. Small piece of cheese cake. Orders mum a wine lemonade. Me wine and soda. Had a tap water which when paying they tried to charge. What I felt was unfair was they tried to charge us £12.95 each meal I explained it was a small portion but they insisted it was regular. I then asked it says on the menu Small or large portion. No mention of regular ? So I said so there is 3 different sizes she said NO ?’? To try and charge us £44.68. I thought was a bit steep. As a good will they reduced it to £40. Like I said food good but be careful when paying your bill. I little cup cake for mums birthday Would have been nice. or anyone ones birthday. Back to the red lion hawkshaw. 2 course. For £10.95 And they do amazing chips. !!!

It’s amazing what a smile does and it’s rare in a lot of places these days, but it was lovely here today We were in the opposite dining room to the main one and it was just nice without the tables being crammed in and being too close to others The menu was extensive and lots of choice for all sorts of fussy eaters and small eaters alike 2 had the roast dinners, the small, and they were just right the portions without being over facing One had pasty peas and gravy which was big, one had hot beef and onion and gravy muffin which was a nice average size and one had a plain chicken breast with salad For desserts we had assorted icecream, winberry pie and ice cream, fruit tiffin and lime cheesecake All nice size portions and were delicious Great place to come but would recommend to book even during the week and weekends also as it gets very busy Accessible entrance round the back of the place Thumbs up for a lovely afternoon

However, we were given a warm welcome and quickly offered a choice of tables which were available for an hour or so.We just had a pot of tea and a fruit scone. The scone was freshly baked and delicious. The only disappointment was that the tea was made with tea bags rather than loose leaf. The scone was delicious and also available with jam and cream. The stairs were a challenge. The menu was good with the usual café items. We chose small portions of meat pie and cheese and onion pie. The portion size was more than enough. There were a lot of vegetables which was to our liking. Dessert was a great finale but for 2 people with coffee I thought the price was high since it was not a superior meal. Service was slow and I found the staff disinterested. We will probably not return. It lacked the personal touch as if it has enough business without us.

Imagine having gourmet food in your favourite Aunty’s house - that’s Park Farm’s afternoon tea. The menu started with a small pot of home made soup (carrot and coriander with croutons and herbs) and comes with freshly baked pork and apple pie. Served with a big smile and enthusiastic explanation. Being a pork pie lover, i can say that it’s rare to find hot pies with the right balance of spiced pork and little jelly, with not too rich crust. Tick! The hallmark of a good afternoon tea is equal attention to sandwiches and cakes. Tick! The sandwich fillings were large prawns, egg mayo, chicken with mozzarella and pesto, and smoked salmon terrine. All on freshly made breads, some soft, some flat. Great sandwiches? Tick! Needless to say that the home made scones, mini cinnamon and blueberry pancakes, freshly baked fruitcake, and macaroons all had great detail and tasted even better. If you’re looking for a special afternoon tea with family, you’ve found it.

Just returned from Park Farm Tearoom. Drove past it on the way to Ramsbottom and on way back decided to pop in for a cup of tea. What a discovery. The outside of the place does not look particularly appealing but once inside it is a little treasure trove of delightful farm products, flowers and other interesting items. Went upstairs for a cup of tea. The scones are the best I have ever tasted. (I am an expert!) The other cakes looked tempting too. The staff were very friendly and inviting.

Great place to visit- so much so that we are returning a week later with different friends. The welcome from the staff was superb- chatty and efficient. We got drinks and the food arrived hot, tasty and plenty of it. Good that no chips- the dauphinoise potatoes were special and the gravy. Everyone else enjoyed the food and the surroundings. Toilets are pristine and there is the availability for large groups and reservations. In fact at weekend this would be a good idea.

Very good food at reasonable prices, good because you can have a small meal but it still has all the veg & potatoes included. The range of desserts are fantastic.

I came for lunch with my daughter and her 2 small children and we were not made to feel welcome. The staff were miserable and did not look happy. Disappointing.

For some reason unknown to me, this is closed on a Monday (Why?). A good busy place with a good choice of dishes. Service can be slow when busy so be prepared to wait.

Always very very busy. We have eaten here quite a lot and have never been disappointed. Staff are friendly, approachable and efficient. Nothing appears to be too much trouble. There appears to be a lot of return business. Wide variety of options and all just like your mum used to make. A credit to the family. I would definitely recommend

We were impressed again with Park Farm today, having been here many times in the past. We were a party of 15 people today and everyone enjoyed the experience. The service is excellent - friendly, polite and very helpful. Also very good and receptive when it comes to GF options, including the very nice gluten free gravy with the Sunday roast. GF lemon drizzle cake with homemade ice cream really very nice. Logos of main courses also available as small portions. Also loved my glass of Ollies Apple juice. Service also very quick and efficient. The farm shop and charity book section also nice for a browse.

Two of us had the same tuna, tomato and cheese toastie and we both were of the same opinion - it was tasteless and very lacking in cheese. In fact, had the menu not itemised cheese, I would never have known there was any in the toastie.

Nothing better than a ture tea house where everything is home-baked. Great for couples and families, well priced with great staff. The farm shop also offers a wide range of home baked goods and local produce

Saturday afternoon visit with my family which included our 3 year old grandson. The staff were simply wonderful, they couldn't have been more helpful and the service was five star. We all had hot food which was delicious and desserts were mouth watering. The quirky surroundings along with explanations of where the fixtures and fittings had originated added to the experience. Such a fuss was made of our grandson who was brought books etc to keep him entertained. The added bonus is being able to buy their delicious produce which is made on the premises completed our visit. Would definitely recommend.

Visited the tea rooms for lunch with hubby and a friend. After a heart stopping moment on finding that they didn't have my reservation, but went the extra mile and confirmed I had booked but info not transferred to the daily sheet. Made very welcome and took our order asap. Took some time to arrive , but I'm fine with that as it was freshly cooked and arrived hot, plentiful and delicious. One steak pudding ( homemade), one cheese and onion pie and one full roast dinner. All well cooked with good array of vegetables and nicely presented. We opted for two whimberry pie & a bread and butter pudding for dessert, delicious again. Good old fashioned puds that everyone loves. Highly recommended. car park a bit of a maze but this is part of a working farm.

This place gets really good reviews. So we thought we'd give it a try for breakfast. It was really disappointing. Egg undercooked, sausage undercooked, bacon over cooked and greasy, black pudding soggy (steamed I assume and not grilled).

Called in for drinks and snacks. We ordered tea and iced peach tea. The milk for the tea was curdled and the peach tea was tasteless. Both had to be replaced. The staff were very good abut it. The bagel and currant teacake were both very nice.

Have been coming here for years. No offence at all to the other chefs but they have a new young team and the food was unreal! Best food I’ve had there and maybe the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Steak and bacon and all three of us who had it were absolutely wowed. Perfectly cooked and excellent in terms of quality and quantity of meat. My Dad and my Uncle love coming here and we will be back.
