Park Coffee Shop in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Went in intending to get a breakfast. Took a seat decide what we wanted and then went to the counter to order. Got told to sit down and she will come over. We where sat for ages and she never came over. She took the order of the other people who came in before us and then walked of into the back and started doing some chopping and kept looking at us. We got up and left and so did another couple. The tables had not been cleaned and there where still dirty plates on them.

It’s a shame we only discovered the cafe on our last day of holiday as we would have definitely had a few breakfasts there! Proper fried breakfast which was delicious, no frills & welcoming staff. Be aware they don’t accept cards but there is a bank/cash machine down the bottom of the hill.

Please pop along for a breakfast. The food is lovely. Seems popular with the locals too. Definitely worth a visit.

Can not fault anything about this cafe. Amazing freshly cooked food, menu to suit all tastes,friendly and cosy atmosphere, very efficient staff, nothing to much trouble.

My family visited this little spot 2 years ago on our last visit to Cornwall, and we were so pleased to return this year to find it just as we had left it! The food is delicious, all home made and cooked fresh to order! You can’t beat it! Excellent value for money, and lovely staff!!

Had visited this cafe couple of years ago and had a fantastic meal so we went there before we drove back home after a week on the lizard.the meal was the best we have had anywhere for sometime.We had a meal deal,fish/chips bread and butter and a cup of tea for £5.45 each.I cannot praise it enough,lovely little cafe only wish it were more local to us !

We came here following Sainsbury’s cafe closed due to lockdown. We saw a signpost for a cafe and followed this. Such a small place but very accommodating and lovely fry up we all had. Very old school I must say. Friendly bunch of people running the place.

We were staying at the Prem Inn just up the road and weren't impressed with the covid system at the attached restaurant, so decided to see what was available locally, the Park popped up, so we rang our order through 10 mins later picked up hot bacon egg sandwiches which cost £2.50 each, sat and ate them just down the road by the boating lake. Absolutely super sandwich and great value.

Don’t often find old school fry ups with no flashy menu! Great brekki was served super hot and included good coffee. Staff helpful and following COVID rules. Sat outside in the ‘heatwave’ and just a point... sweep up the leaves and it would look twice as nice!

First & foremost this cafe only takes cash which was surprising under the current lockdown health conditions prevailing in the UK right now when we are all encouraged to use contactless payments wherever possible. This did take us by surprise as no one mentioned it till we asked for the bill, I think it would be prudent to advise customers on entry that they only take cash as neither of us had any cash so I had to walk 300 hundred yards down the hill to the only bank in the village with a cash point. Despite this the food was ok, nothing special but edible if a little greasy. Social distancing was a little bit crowded but as we were sat right at the back of the cafe it was not a problem. We were the first people in as the cafe was empty on arrival however this did not last as it seems to be fairly popular in the village, by the time we had finished our breakfast it was full up with no more table available. Good value for money just make sure you have cash in your pocket.

We called ahead to Park coffee shop so we could book breakfast for when we arrived in Cornwall after our 5 and a half hour journey. The welcome was great and the food was cooked fresh while we waited. It was a perfect start to a great week. Thank you

We stopped in Helston between visiting Mullion and Penzance. Despite numerous pubs and restaurants in the town nothing took our fancy enough to stay and eat... That was until by chance we found park cafe tucked away at the top of Meneage street. Simple home cooked food, fantastic prices, friendly staff and open to dogs. We choose panini's but the accompanying chips were divine, real thick cut potato chips! Thanks go to the staff too for cooking sausages for the dog, made it so much easier to eat our food in peace. Would suggest a visit if you want a relaxed and laid back place to eat.

Had a few shoppers breakfast here now and can never complain. Best fry up I’ve had, quick service and very good value for money. Can’t wait to come back

Staying in the nearby Premier Inn , I decided to forego their offer of breakfast and venured into town and sampled this cafe. Home cooked food at a decent price. Nothing too much trouble. Never tried anywhere else during my 6 day stay. Even asked for sandwiches for lunch which were again excellent. Try it. I am sure you will not be disappointed and you certainly will get value for money.

Having enjoyed meals here previously, my friend and I booked in advance for Sunday lunch. When we arrived, this small cafe was already almost full, with everyone obviously enjoying their meals. Our orders for roast meals were quickly taken by a friendly waitress. We were able to share a table with two very pleasant ladies, who were still waiting for their meals, after a wait of 35 minutes. We had a similar wait for our meals, which was understandable, because the cafe was so busy. When the meals arrived, we both agreed that they were well worth the wait, because they were served piping hot and were really well cooked. We then enjoyed the desserts, followed by a pot of tea, which made for a satisfying meal at a very reasonable price. The only reason why I have not awarded our experience five stars is that the tables are placed rather too close together for comfort. Owing to the wait for our meal, we spent just over an hour and a half over our meal, so we appreciated the fact that the adjoining car park was free of charge on Sundays.

Wonderful little gem of a cafe. Quick to serve and always friendly and polite. Been here lots of times now, good selection of tasty menu choices. The eggs are always lovely and just the right amount of runny. However last week I visited and my baked beans were stone cold but I ate them nevertheless and the coffee was a bit more watery and lacking body than usual. I will be back though as it is such good value for money.

Booked for Sunday lunch with friends, very cosy cafe (bit enclose together) . Roast dinner was very good, hot and tasty. Doing a special for Sunday roasts, 3 course meals at a very good price. Well worth a visit here.

Fantastic breakfast great staff, value for money, so glad I found this place. My only criticism is whilst eating my cooked breakfast it was quite quiet needed some music in the background.

Iz and I with Mum and Dad had our annual Saturday morning pre-holiday-shop breakfast at the Park Coffee Shop.We found this place last year and raved about it. I am happy to report the breakfast is still first rate and most excellent value.They do not take credit cards.

Whilst doing Laundry at Helston walked up narrow street and Stumbled across this smallish Coffee Shop. Serves a selection of home cooked meals from MENU, from Roast Dinners, Scones & Jam, too numerous to mention, along with usual drinks tea/coffee etc. Meals of generous size. Price not expensive.

Visited this cafe with friends for Sunday Dinner, not been to this little cafe before but will certainly be back. Fantastic value 3 course meal, staff friendly and helpful. Not a large place so bookings are advised for the Sunday meals.

Visited this cafe nearly everyday, absolutely gorgeous breakfast which set us up for the day, friendly and helpful staff, and welcoming. .highly recommend and can't wait to visit again next year.

Luckily Sainsbury's was closed for some reason and Andrew, Liz, Iz and self decided to head into Helston and look for a breakfast outlet.

Food was delicious and well presented, generous portions and excellent staff. Will definitely be coming here again!

Had a late breakfast here. Lovely, friendly service and they were happy to accommodate me being gluten free. Very reasonably priced and the food others were eating also good

La cafetería sirve comidas diarias y brillante en nuestra casa viaje a West Norfolk siempre nos llaman para el desayuno como para prepararnos para el día! Tuvimos una comida maravillosa en la semana de 7 de junio 2016 10 de junio y luego el desayuno.

Encontramos este pequeño café por casualidad un domingo por la tarde. Tenía un panecillo con carne asada con ensalada, mi esposo tenía un desayuno que eran deliciosos. El personal era amable y los precios razonables todo bien hecho!! Volveré la próxima vez que estemos en Helston.

Came across this by chance.We both had the fish special (fish and chips with mushy peas,bread and butter and a pot of tea for two for £5.50 each.Couldnt believe it when it arrived,huge piece of fish lovely chips (plenty) and peas.The food was cooked to perfection .So pleased we stumbled upon this treasure,wish we lived nearer and not just a tourist eater!

we have lunch here often , and always enjoy a good meal. There is a lot of choice ,good meal deals and everything is a good price. The staff are nice and welcoming too, all in all we would recommend it .

Bien, este lugar es una joya en la corona de Helston. Yo sabía, porque mi suegra siempre obtiene su almuerzo desde aquí, que te dejan a ella Flat en Parc una Dower. Boxing Day abierto, así que decidimos tratar la esposa a almorzar. Y muy contento de haberlo hecho, que habíamos reservado, así que era de esperar, me dieron un saludo fenomenal, nos llevaron a nuestra mesa, y se ocupó de tan pronto como la camarera terminado servir a otros clientes, una deliciosa cena de tres platos por el precio estupendo de £7.95 ,, y después nos entregó una a mi suegra. Nada más que elogios para este establecimiento, y diría que a cualquiera que visite Helston. Por favor, visite el lugar para un buen servicio, personal amable, y una deliciosa comida

We have been to this CAFE on many occassions and had some simple but top notch, value for money grub!! Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin and delivered with charm and friendliness! As we ate in there a couple of weeks ago I saw lots of elderly people coming in and then a load of what looked like meals on wheels going out!! I asked one of the waitresses and she said they have a steady stream of people from all over the area who come in either on a daily basis or regularly and that the park delivers to those who cant get out cheaper than meals on wheels can! Often some who come in and the deliveries which are made can be the only time these people interact with another person all day!! So yes it serves cafe food, and by the way does the BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN HELSTON, it is also a community service undertaken by a love of helping others!!! Perhaps a community cafe would be more apt than a faceless greasy spoon as per the other reviewer!!!

Having recently moved to Helston,our knowledge of decent places to eat was LIMITED.Until we found the PARK, situated at the top of a footpath leading to the Co op.At the PARK, there is a varied menu , catering for all tastes,ranging from a selection of breakfasts to roasts dinners and daily specials.If you want fast food,the PARK is not your place, but if you don't mind a bit of a wait, the home cooked meal is to die for at a PRICE you will find hard to beat.The PARK has become the only place we would eat in Helston.Combined with good value meals and friendly staff. WHY EAT ANYWHERE ELSE !!!

Me and my wife love this place and eat there frequently. The food is fantastic and the prices are unbeatable, you couldnt make it yourself for less money. So many drinks a food options you are spoilt for choice. We recommend this to everyone who asks for the best place to eat

Excellent portions and quality in a clean and friendly 'cafe' style restaurant. The breakfasts and roast dinners are my particular favourites. The best meal for the price you're likely to find anywhere.

Despite its unprepossessing looks from the outside, this place was lovely. Probably the cheapest meal we had on holiday but a fantastic plateful which really filled a corner! A good mug of tea was included in the meal price too, who could ask for more?
