Always been a great chippy for as long as I can remember. The best in cromer by a country mile. Based on personal experience

Tried again after 18 months away due to terrible food, nothing changed was still awful. Don't know what they cook their chips in but suggesting it may be old engine oil, had to throw them away.

Fairly short wait, Cod was good but very heavily battered, chips on the greasy side, not particularly cheap I think the options in Cromer itself are better especially the chips but if you’re nearer the Park Chippy it’s fairly convenient. It’s ok but not exceptional.

Cracking find out of town, thankfully away from the regular touristy spots. Well signed, pretty quick from order to being ready despite being very busy. Reasonable prices. Lovely piece of haddock and plaice, huge chicken nuggets and new potato chips. All very good!

Smashing fish and chips but had to wait 30 minutes after I ordered ,which was a shame, but was worth the wait everything cooked just right

Been going to Park Chippy fir the last few weeks to get a small cod for tge cat as he has been off his food. Friendly and prompt service what excellent quality fish. Highly recommende. Thanks.

Awful greasy 💩 chips totally horrible 😢 I hate them don't bother getting these ok! I thought the fish 🐟 was undercooked its sad that we have Wentworth food being sold here so just avoid it!

Whilst heading into Cromer after a beach walk, I saw the sign for fish and chips on the outskirts of the town. Cod and chips cooked while I waited in clean and Covid secure shop, which now takes contactless card payments. Particularly liked the chips which were cooked to a nice golden colour, rather than the pale lightly cooked type one often gets given.

Definitely the best fish and chip shop in Cromer we live in Overstrand and have had food from park chippy for years now are they never fail to impress top marks boys.

Had fish and chips for lunch from here whilst on holiday. The food was good and had lots of local trade which is always a good sign

We decided not to bother going into the centre of Cromer and queuing ages for fish and chips on a Friday night...instead we googled the nearest one to us and found this place. Very nice. People serving are very professional. So glad we found it and would go again.

First time I have used this establishment and have to say the last. I had a steak and kidney pie with chips. Plus cod and chips with a curry sauce. The pie and chips were bundled into paper as one package that looked like a child of six had packed it. The curry sauce came out the container as just one big glutenous lump of jelly! The chips were sodden with oil and pale. The cod was so full of batter there was little fish inside. What was present was oil. We could not eat any of the food at all. Marks out of ten? =2 You would think that it was excusable if it were busy but only three people waiting?

Tried a bag of chips when passing. Service good and friendy, nice clean chippy. The chips were cooked albeit a bit lightly but I'm afraid the taste of the fat/oil rather spoilt the experience for me. I'd read such good reviews, and our hosts recommended them too, I was a bit disappointed.

On holiday for a week here in Cromer, Norfolk and found this chippy just up the road from where we are staying, we have to say they are the best fish and chips we have ever had .

It is good. Very good. It is a fish and chip shop, not a restaurant. But it is a very good fish and chip shop. I have a saveloy, battered sausage and chips and have never been disappointed. My family have fish and again, never disappointed, and out of choice, we always buy our seaside fish and chips from here when eating together.It isnt in central Cromer. It doesnt have seating. It isnt near the sea. But it is worth the 5 minute drive out here from Cromer to get some of the best fish and chips in town

Not sure why this chip shop gets such good reviews. We took away from here Saturday night, and it was average at best. My fish was slightly underdone, and the batter was thick, stodgy and tasteless. The chips were OK, also maybe a bit under. Maybe we are spoilt living in Yorkshire, but I had thought that being that close to the sea you would be able to get stunning fish and chips.The guys running the counter were very friendly, we got everything we ordered and I didn't think it was overpriced. There is parking right outside which is very convenient. Shame the food let it down really.

Best fish and chips in town,also their chicken nuggets are amazing. The boys are always pay attention to their customers and give a very good service! I can just recommend this place to everyone🤗☺

It is out of the town and on a housing estate but it's worth a visit. Food cooked fresh to order and you can see what is being cooked and how clean the place.is over the cup the. Very reasonable priced and lots to choose from.

Words fail me for how good the Fish and Chips were last night. Awesome, unbelievable, just don’t do it justice!

Been using this chippy for 21 years. Used to be amazing. Visited tonight and was told the chips had been increased by 10p per portion, and the punnets are seriously much smaller. They are clearly in cahoots with WeightWatchers!. We use this chippy as it is close; however we will be using Roughton from now on. Wished we could use the chippy in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. One portion there feeds a family of four!!

Had lunch from here and we found the food very good. Yes we had to wait whilst it was cooked, but at least you know that it is totally fresh, and has not been hanging around in the hot cabinet for any length of time. The fish was well cooked and nice and moist. The chips were lovely. All in all a nice lunch for all the family. This is take away only.

7 of us enjoyed an excellent fish supper recently. Fish freshly cooked to order and friendly service. We could tell it was going to be good because it was packed, even on a Wednesday!

We were told about this plaice by a friend. Thank COD as it was it was really tasty fish and chips with a light batter coating. Whiting this whilst eating them in the nearby park.

Obviously take away only, but each order is cooked to order so although there is a wait, it is accepted and fully worth that slight inconvenience.

Have caravan nearby and have fish and chips every week and they never disappoint. Always piping hot and the cod is lovely fresh fish with no horrible skin or bones to contend with. Won't go anywhere else. Highly recommend

I have been using this Chippy for some years and it does not disappoint. It may take some time to fulfil your order but you will enjoy the results. These boys are consistently good.

This is how a fish and chip shop should be. Everything cooked fresh while you wait, top ingredients, friendly and helpful staff, and good value for money. If you really like fish and chips, this place is worth a detour.

Used the Park Chippy while staying at Forest Park campsite which is 5 minute drive. Tried to do a phone order but phone was never answered. When arrived we put in a order and not warned about the wait but everyone else was told while we waited. The portions where so small and honestly not very tasty. One guy waited 45 minutes for x2 fish and chips!! Someone else 30 min for five bags of chips. Really disappointing.

Highly recommended always great service, great portions & tasty fish. A must visit when on holiday or day tripping worth the short drive from Cromer town centre.

It's not often I treat myself to fish & chips, i hadn't eaten here before but passed by often so stopped off after finishing work,I was so looking forward to this, arriving at 8.35 to be told the fryers were switched off at 8.30 so I couldn't have fish! as I was so hungry I settled for chips as didn't want what was left only battered sausage. Chip were served in a polystyrene box.Very disappointed, not impressed, won't recommend or return again. Staff were friendly enough and apologetic for not being able to supply fish. 8.35pm on a Friday night! Very disappointing.

Went to Park Chippy on Good Friday , a long Que of people all waiting for the fantastic fresh Fish and Chips that they are well known for .Fast friendly service from the three lads working there . Highly recommend the Best in Cromer .

Been coming to Park chippy for years and it is one of the best takeaways in Cromer. Everything is made to order, I think which is why the food is good quality. However, on a few occasions I have had some very greasy chips and bad fish. But, that has only happened a few times. Would recommend it.

This is an treasure of a chip shop. Everything is cooked to order so all food is piping hot and tasty. You can order by phone if you do not fancy waiting while it is cooked. No hard dried out batter here wonderful crispy delicious!

This chippy used to be good. If they can't serve nice fish and chips on a Friday night they shouldn't be in business. Greasy fish tasteless. Greasy chips as well very bad experience

Only popped in for sausage and chips while wife went to Chinese next door. Well she came out and ended up waiting another 10 mins for me. Cooked to order but even so. Portion size was rubbish but did taste good.

Great little chippy really accommodating and very friendly will definitely recommend to friends and family always cook to order and nothing is too much trouble you can even phone you order through so it's ready to collect when you arrive

We have just bought a holiday nearby and my husband and so were sent off to Cromer to bring back fish and chips. After seeing the queues at another shippy they decided to give this one a try. We were all very impressed, good portions, very well cooked fish and not greasy. I think we will be regulars and it is so near to where we are staying!

The fish and chips, are one of the best we have had in a long time. And the are not expensive. Four fish and chips two gherkins. £ 25.

Portions have got real small lately medium haddock no more then 6 inches long. With a child's portion of chips. Very poor value.

Well, back in Cromer and wondered if the Park Chippy would be as good as last time. I needn't have worried, it exceeded last years. Food was cooked fresh as always (well worth the wait), great flavour, non greasy, extremely tasty. Wish I had now ordered the large cod. Met two lovely ladies from Brighton, that we're back to the Park Chippy for the first time in 9 years. I am sure they will not be disappointed. Can't recommend enough. Best fish and chips ever!

We come to Cromer every year and always get chips here! You wait a little longer but definitely worth the wait! Piping hot food with a good selection! I'm sure it won't be our only visit this week!

We found this fish & chip shop from a sign on the side of the road!All food is cooked fresh to order. The fish was AMAZING, probably the best chip shop cod I have had. The chips were really good too..We were made welcome and even allowed to use their tables and chairs after they shut.A great experience. Thank you very much!!

Both Wendy and I are big fans of fish and chips.We have moved to Cromer recently and there are 2 very good fish and chip restaurants in Cromer but Park Chippy is excellent and I cannot fault it. The chips are just right and the Skate is to die for. Fresh and cooked to perfection I cannot recommend this takeaway highly enough. Why they are not in the top 5 restaurants in Cromer is beyond me. Maybe we have just been lucky or maybe it is because they are out of the way a bit.Give it a go and see if you don't agree.

This is my local chippy. We have been going there for years.The food is always cooked to order which sometimes means a bit of a wait especially in the summer but I would rather wait and have freshly cooked food. The food isn't greasy which is a definite bonus for me.There is a good choice on the menu and the prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly and the shop very clean.They are happy to take telephone orders which is very handy.All in all a great chippy. Highly recommended.

We stayed at The Green House B&B near Cromer (which was outstanding and well worth visiting) and they gave us numerous tips about local attractions. We went to Park Chippy after visiting Hillside Animal Sanctuary, which is a lovely, and had a very tasty, nutritious meal, well cooked by friendly staff...what's not to like! Great stuff.

Whenever we go to Cromer we always try to fit in a Fantastic Fresh Fish and Chips from this Chippy if we can .Very Friendly and Fast service with everything cooked to order , what more could you ask for Perfect .HIGHLY RECOMMENDED , THE BEST IN CROMER .

Been here many times during our holidays in Cromer and always been amazed! This place make the most delicious foods and their fish and chips are beautiful! Not bad prices either...fish, chips and mushy peas with a battered sausage, cheeseburger and chips all for £10. What a bargain! Asked for a cheeseburger, got back to the chalet to find a huge beefy burger with a big fried onion ring inside, totally unexpected! Amazing service and a range of food choices on offer! Will definitely be visiting again soon and would highly recommend!

The old chap with the smile seems to have gone,retired on a long cruise, I dont know but at the very same time so has the quality. We have been going back repeatedly just to see if it was a blip and that they get it right but its the very same problem over n over again, which is very sad. The fish no matter whether you order small or large is now always dry, has no depth to it, sometimes consists of 2 or more little bits stuck together with the batter and just plain disappointing especially as a large F&C now are about £6.50. I suspect it has something to do with money and those now in charge are cutting corners. You cant do that in the food business, quality is everything. Service is fine, chips are fine just Park chippy could be on its way out if they dont sort out the fish issues or get the old chap with the smile back!

This little chippy is brilliant ..its clean,there are seats where you can wait for your order to be freshly cooked which it always is..The staff are friendly and obliging but more than anything the food is delicious. .The fish and chips are second to none ..or you can have other choices like sausage,pie ,scampi and much more , nice big portions too ..You can also ring your order through and pick it up later ,this is not a sit down restaraunt but thoroughly recommend you pay a visit

We waited 45 minutes for fish and chips that were not worth the wait. The portion size was small and we were still hungry after. I appreciate they cook to order but did think 45 minutes was a bit much.

When I first went through the door (at 6.45 pm) I was quite concerned that there wasn't any cooked food in the warming cabinets!! Which is normally a bad sign.I ordered Large Haddock & Chips, Chicken Breast and chips and a mushy peas. (£14.75)They then proceeded to microwave the chicken for 6 to 8 minuets then put into the fryer Hmm, they got a container of mushy peas from the freeze and microwaved them. After a twenty minuet wait (they seemed more concerned at cleaning up than serving) I returned to the cottage we where staying at in Overstrand we couldn't believe the size of the portions the chips were on the smallest tray I've seen and the Large! Haddock was the same size as a mini fish back home in Melton Mowbray, the fish was tasteless the chicken mediocre the chips soggy the peas were still frozen in the middle. There were probable £5 dearer than they should have been. They were bloody crap and a rip off!!!

Went for Haddock and chips last Thursday evening whilst staying over in the town for business. Had read the reviews on this site that raved about the food and service and was highly delighted when they where right. Yes, I definitely think that it is the best Fish and chips in Cromer, and having eaten at the other establishments, that is high praise indeed.

We regularly order from here and the service nor the food has ever changed! Prices are low and everything is cooked freshly. Highly recommend and I will visit again soon!

The Park Chippy is certainly one of the best fish and chips shops we have come across- excellent food and a great service - useful to order your food in advance as the shop is always busy - highly recommended.

Asked a local where to get fish and chips and this was recommended. I love skate but could only have it battered at another establishment, I telephoned here first and could have it just how I wanted. ; Yum. Definitely where the locals eat and everyone so friendly. Plenty of choice and six of us had different things and all happy bunnies. Within "walking" distance of Cromer Country Club (I use a mobility scooter so needed help from Grandson to get up hill to Club - fun). Good value for money, especially as you get just what you want

Certainly the fish was fresh and the chips crisp and hot! good value for a family on a budget, ensure you get there early!. A selection of foods available can be seen on the menu board.

I visit Park Chippy every time I stay in Cromer, the fish and chips are delicious as well as the other food on offer. Decided to try Park Chippy during my visit, staying with my parents in Cromer. Wasn't disappointed!! We had haddock and chips which were delicious. Expected to wait, as I had read previous reviews, which was fine. Ordered and my food was ready about 20 minutes later. It was very busy, which is a good sign!!! Would visit again, next time I'm there.

As I live just round the corner I go here a lot, the fish and chips there are superb! Would recommend it to anyone, well worth a visit and good value for money.

This is simply the best chippy around. Everything is done to perfection, everything is cooked fresh so nothing has been sitting around. You may have to wait but it's well worth the wait. Not pricy and good portions too.

Park Chippie is everything a chippie should be. Fresh fish and chips cooked to perfection. You wait for your order to be cooked but well worth the wait. We even get batter bits for the dog!

On holiday here and found this place asDriving past. Good was cooked toOrder but didn't take long at all and we had ordered for six. Great tasting chips!!! Friendly staff and so good we visited again and we will certainly return in the future when we are in the area.

Absolute joke of a chip shop. Understandably theyre not the largest of places, but when they get busy they bar entry to more customers, telling them to "come back in maybe 5 minutes. Maybe if, when busy, they fried more ie chips rather than frying everything for one order before moving on to the next one it might be ever so slightly quicker. If i just want chips, which are ready, why do i have to wait for the chap in front of me to have multiple fish and things cooked for him, which more chips would be ready for.Confusing, infuriating and really, not worth waiting that long for.

Thought we would try the Park Chippy one evening and were not disappointed. Fish was cook fresh while we waited and along with the chips was delicious. Best in town. Will defiantly be going back next year

Fish and chips cooked to order. We went off season so there wasn't any waiting. The haddock was great; batter wasn't greasy at all and tasted great. Generous portion of chips and nicely cooked. Best fish and chips I've had in ages.

For a place that cooks to order why are the chips always undercooked thats 3 times now. I wouldnt mind but you have to wait for them so why not cook em. Could be so much better dont think ill bother anymore

Food is cooked to order which means if you dont order by phone and they are busy expect a long wait. If they are busy expect pale chips. Not been a top chippy in cromer for 25 years or more.

Have always had fish and chips from here when staying on Forest Park and have to say they are probably the best fish and chips i have ever had. Consistently excellent and always cooked to order . If i had to recommend one fish shop in the Country that i have been to this is the one .We have even travelled 40 miles from our home near Great Yarmouth just to have one of their fish and chip dinners

We tried this chip shop as it was just around the corner from our camp site and they were queing out the door, but once we got the food back to our tent we could see why...it was all tasty, hot, and not at all greasy, also had the curry sauce & mushy peas just lovely - liked it so much we went back another day..... Worth the wait.

Being locals in Cromer mean we have tried everywhere for fish and chips. This place is where many locals go as the quality is always the same. Only shame is the amount of time you have to queue for, (which just proves furthermore it's good).

Whenever we visit Cromer it's the "Law" that we have a take away fish n chips, or I'm in deep trouble !!!Yes it takes a little bit of an effort to get there, opening times could catch me out and as they fry to order the impatient amongst us may be annoyed.......but all well worth it as the fish n chips are simply delicious.Appears to be a Family run chippy and all of them are welcoming and friendly.Finally I can recommend consistently excellent fish n chips and don't be put off by the wait, just chill and you won't be disappointed.

If you want really excellent fish and chips, and are in Cromer, do try Park Chippy. It's a takeaway, though there is seating outside. Expect to wait a little as fish is cooked to order (which is why it's so good). Friendly service, too.

Coming from Yorkshire I am used to getting good fish and chips. After trying a numbers of chip pies and being disappointed came across this little gem, you have to wait awhile because everything is cooked fresh, but we'll worth the wait.

I have only ever sampled the chips from here, but they are great!Had plenty a portion and never been dissapointed, unlike from the other Cromer chippies. The only criticism I have is their system in place. It's often very busy, so I do expect a wait, but this wait is made worse by the fact that every order is made in turn. Therefore if you want only one portion of chips but the people in front of you want 7 portions of fish and chips you have to wait untill their order is completed. I've never known this before from a chip shop and it's very annoying. However, this is the only let down!! Great food once wait is over.

Don't expect to be served straight away at the Park Chippy. Often the queue is outside on the pavement, but this is testimony to the high quality of the fish and chips. Always freshly cooked, people come from miles around to get there supper here. Its great!

Excellent fish and chips. We were staying a few minutes down the road and visited this chippy twice during the week we stayed!!! Food was cooked to order, portion sizes were good and it was very tasty. Once we had our order we drove a few minutes and ate our meal watching the sunset over the sea. Very nice indeed.

We normally always go to MJ's in town, but tried here as it was really close to our campsite. We weren't disappointed! It was good, ok the mushy peas were not as nice as MJ's but the cod was filleted which is important for young kids, as MJ's have so many bones in em.Well recommended for a passing teatime treat.
