John Lee Crab Stall in North Norfolk

Closed on arrival although early afternoon. Poor parking provision by local authority. Not much else to do especially when raining

I met Lee, he is a lovely chap and we soon got talking about my logo "The Funk Soul plumber" as I popped by during work to buy some crab. Great prices, crab was delicious, and I could pay by card. I will return again and enjoyed my first encounter. Thank you, and it's a pleasure to meet you, kind Sir.

Sorry but I must be honest and add to the reviews from my own experience I don't recommend. Guy running the show seems to have more attitude than acumen today. Woman in front asks to reserve a crab for after shopping to be met with 'Nope. I'm selling whatever I have and am going home' (It was not even midday). I kindly ask if they have a staple crab sandwich. It was a 'Nope'. Think whoever was behind was disappointed too. If this is how you run your business I am frankly surprised you have lasted this long and as they say, you are only as good as your last game.

Just paid for two dressed crabs and a sandwich and when I got home and opened the bag there was only the dressed crabs and no sandwich

Had a lovely fresh crab from here, it was delicious and the guy serving us was very friendly.

Always prefer to buy our dressed crab and sandwiches from the stall outside. Then eat them on the pier! Great VFM!

Great food, price and customer service!

I was surprised that a crab sandwich cost £4 as it was a bit of crab on two slices of wholemeal bread. I think it would have tasted better with a bit of mayo or salad cream. I was a bit disappointed and wished I'd gone to the co-op for a meal deal, which would have been cheaper.

A gent appeared when we rang the bell.. No hello, no can I help you.. Sold us some over charged produce. No thanks and immediately cleared off back thru the patio doors slamming them behind him. Can only presume his finishing school went bust the first day.

An inconspicuous takeaway crab stand. Cheap and tasty. Sit next to it on the wall overlooking the sea and eat crab from Cromer :-) 3-4£

What a crab it was. Nice friendly staff too

Very simply, dressed crab in various sizes, from £4-7 each. But. Cheaper than everywhere else and so much better than you get in a restaurant/pub. Makes you realise how much of the white meat never makes it to your plate elsewhere. They catch them and boil them on site. Supply to their own restaurant and, I suspect, many others. Couldn’t be fresher so don’t be put off by the way it looks. The little chiller cabinet must be colder than your average fridge as they are best left for a few minutes. Wrapped in a paper bag and ready to eat. Ring the bell. Pick your price point and enjoy.

Crab doesn’t get any fresher and so nice that it’s prepared ready to eat. Fair price.

What an absolute stinking attitude, knocked on the door, got one answer which was “yes” chose my crab which was almost thrown at me and door slammed after payment, have used this vendor in all my visits to Cromer but with this attitude I shalln’t be using again, if you’re having a bad day don’t take it out on your customers, would have been one star but the crab was nice even if the seller wasn’t!

Delicious dressed crabs. Crabs priced according to size. Visited in early March. We were afraid we might have been too early in the season, but needn't have worried. Very tasty, we returned a few days in a row.

Beautiful and tasty dressed crab to takeaway. Varying sizes of crabs ranging in price. They also do crab sandwiches and other foods. Would recommend!

The freshest and highest quality crab. I had a small dressed crab from the counter. It was simply delicious, no seasoning was required.

Simple stall selling seafood. You are here for the crab and they have plenty in various sizes, though I expect they sell out daily. Really delicious, fresh tasting crab.

They sadly weren't able to provide us with a seafood platter but we got some dressed crabs so we could make our own and they were absolutely delicious! Super friendly service too!

The best crab I have had the pleasure to enjoy. A wonderfully sized dressed crab for £5 wrapped and ready to eat. Other sizes available too, all very reasonably priced. The crab meat is tender and sweet and delicious. They also have little pots of seafood such as prawns and crab sticks!

Best crab you’ll find in Norfolk and I’ve tasted a fair few from lots of places believe me. Highly recommend here.

John Lee and family have been selling crabs, lobsters and shell fish in Cromer for generations. We have never tasted, brown crab so fresh. We live in Leeds and get ours from the city market, which is fine. But, getting it six hours after it was caught and cooked, is a different level. Cromer is a pain to get to, but, it is beautiful and worth it just for John Lee's crabs.
