Lovely place and so helpful supporting our plans to celebrate our friends Birthday here as part of a longer circular walk . Thank you for being kind to cater for me ur party of 10 . A lovely sunny June day allowed us to sit outside in the lovely courtyard too.

We came here on Monday and we’re surprised to find it so busy. It is popular with walkers and our last visit was some years ago when we walked up Simon’s Seat. There was only one person serving so she had a task on to serve everyone. We chose a quiche served with salad and coleslaw. I would say the coleslaw was the best I have ever tasted; amazing! Luckily without onions. Out of sheer greed we chose a cake to share. The walnut cake tasted delicious. I think this place may get pretty busy at the weekend.

Very nice spot, prices on the high side. 2 cakes, 2 teas and a sandwich £20. Cakes very similar slices and brownies but no scones!!! No prices displayed in the tea room, service was a bit chaotic and slow but … if you are going there it’s for the day out so you’ll probably forgive all that!

‘Love Brownies’ now operate the tea room on behalf of the gardens. The menu is very limited with the only food consisting of a limited choice of packaged sandwiches and various brownies. Sandwich choices may disappear altogether if you are planning to eat early afternoon. Nice location with lovely rural views and toilets but not a destination in itself for teas..

We went to the cafe after touring the garden and we expected there to be food. We were told in a fairly abrupt manner 'no sandwiches, just brownies and drinks' So after a cup of tea and a packet of crisps, we travelled to Grassington to get some lunch. Found an excellent cafe with friendly staff and great food. So give the tea room only and no food available a miss Very disapponting, especially as the garden is so wonderful

Parcevall Hall is a retreat house and an attractive place with a peaceful garden (entrance fee!) and a great attraction for walkers and cyclists. It is at the end of a narrow cul-de-sac road, not recommended for big vehicles! The tearoom is small and welcoming with a good menu and outside tables for a sunny day. The business is due to close at the end of September according to notices. That's disappointing !

WE visited this team room during our tour of Parcevall Hall Gardens. This facility, which has clean and well kept toilets at the back, has outside seating near or underneath fruit trees as well as little tables inside. At busy times, such as when we were there, it might pay to sit outside as the inside can get cramped if occupied by a large group or family. We ordered cold drinks, various sandwiches and cake, everything was beautifully prepared and presented and it tasted so good after a tiring day climbing up and down the gardens. The bill when it came was very reasonable. The team room had a great atmosphere, staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend anyone visiting the gardens to take a break here. Lovely little place.

Parcevall Hall Gardens is a lovely place to visit and the tea room is a great asset. Dogs are welcome everywhere in the garden and woodland areas but sadly not in the tea room, although there is outside seating. I would have given the cafe full marks if they could have provided an americano coffee but only offer filter or cafetière. The food was lovely and some of the choices creative. Just a warning for anyone driving there in a larger vehicle. We were in a motor home which is only 6m long but because we approached from the B6265 we nearly got caught on the tight left hand turn on a steep junction on the minor road leading to the Hall. A motor home with a longer overhang would probably get stuck. Best to arrive from the direction of Burnsall.

We have often driven past the road signs to this place but always on our way somewhere else. This year we vowed to try out the gardens– and instantly regretted putting our visit off for so long. Set in the heart of Wharfedale not far from Appletreewick they have a beauty that combine both formality and wildness in a remarkable way. Parcevall Hall Gardens are the creative work of the late Sir William Milner and what a vision he had. Starting with a building in a dilapidated state standing on a hillside devoid of trees, he created terraces, rose, rock and chapel gardens and a shelter of trees, overlooking Simon’s Seat and Wharfedale. But that’s not all. From the foot of the 24 acres you climb through woodland walks, wild flowers, a tarn, becks, bridges – ascending - until finally you are the top of the hillside where the wildness of the Yorkshire Dales spreads out before you, overlooking Trollers Gill. A perfect climax on a perfect sunny day. And don’t forget the fields of bluebells. After all that this intimate tea room and café is an oasis of inside and outside seating. The service is friendly and efficient, the choice of food surprising wide and varied for such an out of the way and small operation. And he prices are very reasonable.

After a long walk, we stopped for lunch. A really sweet little tea room with space for about 16 covers. Extra seating outside. Immaculately clean and well presented. The menu offers two home made soups (delicious), filled rolls and a range of tea cakes, home made cakes and biscuits, as well as hit and cold drinks. Service was impeccable and prices reasonable.

When you visit a relatively remote garden surrounding an Elizabethan hall, ,you might hope to find some sort of refreshments, but it's a rare treat to visit a friendly, attractive tearoom serving delicious gluten free cakes that are homemade and safe to eat. Parceval Hall's tearoom is situated in the most peaceful, wonderful place, and is absolutely the icing on the cake. Do make sure, if you visit, to take time to relax in the gardens, and soak up the atmosphere before treating yourself!

It pains me to write a review a like this but we went to the Tea Room today before our walk in the gardens. I am a great fan of scones with jam and clotted cream and was looking forward to having one here. When my fruit scone arrived, it was dry, tasteless and almost stale. Thank goodness for the cup of tea to help wash it down. The staff are friendly but spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Today was probably an "off" day compared to all the other positive reviews on here.

Both myself and housemate very much enjoyed the sandwiches. i enjoyed the delicious tuna with lemon mayo in a fresh wholemeal bun with welcome side salad/coleslaw and crisps. I visited tea rooms with my husband after a lovely walk. We sat in the gardens as it was a warm day. The waitress came to take our order. But as it was after 4pm they had stopped serving food, so we decided just to have a drink. Our order was taken along with several other tables. We waited 45 minutes for two cold drinks. Everyone that arrived at the same time as we did or after us was served. You can't tell me the waitress couldn't manage two small bottles on a tray for another table. We were ignored for almost and hour. In the end we just left. I have no idea why we were treated so badly. Was it because we were not your typical white/British customer that normally visits here. We will not be visiting again. The attitude was appalling.

This is a tearoom at the entrance to Parcevall Hall Gardens and you can call in whether you are visiting or not. It is small and even midweek can get full. I suppose this is a testament to the quality of the food but It can be disappointing if you cannot find room. There is an inside seating area and small patio area. When we arrived it took some time to be served. I'm not sure why as it wasn't busy then, but I think there was one person in the kitchen and one waiting on. It is table service and there is a sign saying to be patient. On the day we visited it was due to close early (3.30pm) but I'm not sure why as it is generally open later. All the food I saw looked good - we had sandwiches and tea and the sandwiches were served with a few crisps and garnish. There was one choice of bread - a soft brown breadbun. I think groups can book but I would be a little disgruntled if this happened and there was no room for other visitors. I don't know if there is another room for groups as at some places I've visited. One of the questions later in this review process asks if it is wheelchair accessible. Yes, I suppose so but I doubt there is no room inside as the tables are too close together

This is a small cafe at a modest location, but to us it rates above its class - it offers quite a good choice of items both sweet and savoury, with quite unusual ones such as melted cheese and herb crumpets with salad. There are quite a few gluten-free options available. Food is of good quality, and offers good value for money, in a pleasant and very clean environment.

The Tea Room shares a little row of cottages with the plant shop and garden office at the entrance to this wonderful garden. Given the hilly profile of the place, I rewarded myself with a brew and a scone at the end of my walk. Although Parcevall Hall feels quite isolated, it can attract quite a crowd and the cafe isn't very large. I was lucky enough to get the only available table on the stone terrace next to the plant shop. This overlooks a neat lawn and the approach road over Skyreholme Beck. Service was a little stretched on a very busy day but was always friendly. The tea and scone were both enjoyable.

Lovely small teashop near Appletreewick in the Yorkshire Dales. It is open every day in summer and you can visit it without paying to go into Parcevall Hall gardens. It's quite small inside, but warm and cosy in bad weather, and there is a good sheltered terrace area outside next to a lawn with apple trees. The food is home cooked and very good. I recommend the cafetiere of coffee but be careful as hot milk costs extra for some strange reason.

Myself and my husband found this tea room by accident after heading to Appletreewick and it being too busy for us to stop. We went down the road to parcevall hall to have a little look and found the tearoom. We sat inside but there are lots of seats outside. We only had tea and cake and hot crumpets. But all was lovely and the staff nice and cheery even tho they were having to deal with some petty customers that really were nit picking over little things like they didn't have enough milk or butter which was all rectified very easily with more brought by the lovely waitress. Not really a big problem but you can't please everyone. If you are in that area give it a try.

After a highly enjoyable walk around the beautiful gardens, we went to the tearoom to finish off our visit. It was very disappointing after such a wonderful walk. The waitress was harassed because it was busy and was quite curt with both existing customers and those arriving to be seated. In spite of there being free tables she was discouraging their use with promises of a long wait. When our food did arrive, the apple juice had mould on it and the salad leaves were past their best.....obvious if more time and attention had been paid to the presentation process. It seems to me that if you can't provide a courteous and timely service because there are too many customers, either you employ more staff or you reduce the number of tables to a manageable number. The unwelcoming manner and shoddy food presentation would leave me to suggest you go elsewhere for light refreshment, once you have visited the stunning gardens. Try the Old School Tearooms or Buffers, each just a short ride away.

Stayed at The Lister Arms for a couple of nights mid week. We stayed in the Lister Barn which is a 2 minute walk from the actual pub. Cosy and warm, tastefully decorated with lovely toiletries - a real gem of a place. The main pub is really cosy, with a gorgeous fire burning all day and evening. Breakfast and dinner here were both really good with large portions. Lots of dogs inside the bar area too which was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Fantastic place. Roll with bacon and sausage was lovely. Really good quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I've been coming here on caving trips for 25 years and always either start or finish the day in Inglesport. Love it. The only thing I'd say... bring back the pints of tea!!! And please don't ever stop doing the tiffin, it is the best on the planet.

On arrival the pub does not inspire confidence in the quality of food - but it was really very good. I was dubious about the sizes of sunday roasts after reading a previous review - and to be fair, the plates do not arrive loaded with masses of veg or mash. However, we all left feeling satisfied and it really felt like well prepared, high quality food. The steak and ale pie, and steak and ale yorkie had the same filling, which was superb.
