I booked dinner and drinks at Paradise for a friends 50th. Everyone from the booking team(Big shout out to Steve)to Nico who put up with my high expectations and excelled front of house, through to the DJ was exceptional. thank you for making our time with you so memorable

Thank you so much to the Paradise for a most fabulous 25th wedding anniversary celebration. We couldn’t have asked for more! Having been coming here for at least 25 years it was great to mark our special occasion. Luna is the very very best - super capable and her attention to detail made it so relaxing. We were in good hands. We had a wonderful evening from a 5pm reception in the club room, delicious meal for 50 in the private dining rooms and then back to the Club Room for late night dancing. The best ever. Here’s to our next celebration…..

Absolutely shocking. The staff are useless, the management seem clueless, there isn’t a single thing I could say made my visit in any way welcoming. Please do better.

Didn’t eat but the bar upstairs was good vibes

The quality of the food has significantly dropped. We’ve been there several times in the past and we can definitely see the difference. Service was good, the guys were very attentive and helpful but the food was really disappointing, especially for the price we paid.

Used to be the best place in west London for a roast but we were left sorely disappointed during a recent trip. Meat was overcooked, veg selection was not as good as before, even the desserts didn’t taste homemade. Prices had also gone up considerably. Obviously we were the last to know as the place was empty compared to a few years back. Very sad.

Wonderful experience with a large group of locals for a community dinner. Great food and great vibe. Thank you.

Went there for a friend's 50th birthday and it was my worst dining experience in London ever. Where do I start ... everything was aweful. - Only one waiter in the entire restaurant and apparently he was on his second day. We didn't have enough glasses, had to beg to be able to order drinks on the rare occasion we caught a glimpse of him ... you get the gist - All 12 of us had pre-booked options from a set menu online as Paradise had requested. We arrived at 8.pm and 1.5 hours later four of us were told that our burrata starter had already been given to other guests ...(what's the point of pre-ordering if the chef gives it away?. After a 2 hour wait the starters finally arrived - we could choose substitutes. - At about 10.30, more than 2.5 hours after we had arrived, the mains were fianlly served. The pork was super-dry and tough. The friend who had ordered aubergine was approached by the waiter who said that the chef had brought her "flowers" - some really lame joke as the aubergine, too, had been given to other guests and she was served half a cauliflower sitting lonely on her plate without even an option of another choice! - The staff was rarely seen, plates were left piled up on our table and not taken away, we had to beg for drinks, water. - We were given our deserts at 11.15pm AFTER the chef had left and the restaurant had started to close, a security lady had begun to clean up glasses in the restaurant and another lady was cleaning the bar. Not only was it far too late to eat but also a terrible atmosphere. I felt really bad for my friend who had gone through all the trouble of inviting us. Maybe the restaurant compensated her but it should have never been this awful to start with.

Really terrible Mother’s Day. Staff would not move us from one four top to another in an empty restaurant because “the manager said no”. They did manage to tell us that Benedict Cumberbatch had been and was coming back in a week. Wrong priorities. The most expensive roast does give you three meats but significantly less protein than if you just get one meat, for £5 less, which seems absurd. An item was missing from two of the three plates they brought and had to ask twice to get it by which time of course we’d basically finished. Restaurant was cold, table was wobbly, pointed it out to waiter: nothing. Fixed it ourselves. No kids menu on Mother’s Day, despite being told there was by waiter. No drinks menu, had to ask twice to get one. At least we didn’t wait over an hour for any food like the poor table next to us. Definitely just going to Parlour next time, the place is a shambles. It was full so I’m sure they don’t care: not caring is written all over the place.

I had an amazing time at Paradise by Kensal Green with my friends! The restaurant part offered delicious food, the garden smoking area provided a relaxed atmosphere, and the upstairs disco added the perfect touch for a fun night out. Highly recommended for a diverse and enjoyable experience.

Went to Paradise for Mother's day for the second year in a row. Our memories of last year were let down by the experience today. We waited nearly 90 mins for food to arrive only for the three meat roast to come with the smallest cut of meat. For the most expensive dish on the Sunday roast menu to come with such small cuts was disappointing. The waiter who served the food said he'd take it back and that its busy hence the wait. A manager came back with the same plate to say that the cuts are smaller than the one-meat roasts and when I pointed at how small the Pork cut was, she clarified that that's how it comes but she will get more Pork from the kitchen. We had to tell two staff members to cancel the Cauliflower cheese and then remove it from the bill when it came. The food itself was good, but the portion size was not. The wait time clearly showed a preference for filling the venue buy not expanding the number of kitchen staff to accommodate. We won't go back again.

A friend booked for 9 last night. We were disappointed not to be in the main restaurant but stayed on a long table downstairs. We waited a long time for our food and because they had two events I thought the food was going to be average… it was really nice, fresh, tasty and the service was really good!!! By 11pm they had a DJ who put some really good music and we didn’t stop dancing! Really fun atmosphere and will definitely come back!

Solid party pub. We had a lovely dinner in a private area and then spent some time between the bar and upstairs. Perfect for a birthday

Celebrated my 40th birthday at Paradise - dinner, lots of drinks and dancing. We had the best time. Dinner was amazing, great value for money and the service could not be faulted at all. Melissa was our host and she was amazing. Thanks for a great night!

Great pub for a Sunday afternoon drink.

Amazing venue to drink & dance, we had a fantastic evening - but they really need to sort out their food service and if they can’t cope just tell customers in advance. We only got some of our food & were then told ‘the kitchen is overwhelmed’ - not really what you want to hear! I understand many hospitality venues are struggling with staff etc so I am sympathetic but we should really have been compensated.

One main dish was slightly disappointing but starters were great. Atmosphere and surroundings are fabulous and cozy. Only real bummer of the evening was that my wallet got stolen out of my bag whilst I was sitting at the table by some people who came to sit on a sofa which was next to where I was sitting. They did not seem to have any business there and also quickly disappeared. The staff did not notice them coming in nor served them anything so they came and went unnoticed which is not good.

Faye was an unreal host, give her a pay rise asap!

Brilliant service and great venue to host that special dinner or lunch. I've booked my birthday party there later this month.

Our second function on 26/01/2024 at the paradise and a complete difference to the 1st. Federica is a credit to Paradise, she couldn't have been more accommodating and kind on a sad occasion. The bespoke buffet was really delicious ( compliments to the chief) nothing was too much trouble for Federica and the team.

Your venue is wonderful, and the roast dinner is the best I’ve had. When I returned last week for the best roast, I was waiting for over an hour after making an order for a roast before even my patience wore thin, and I cancelled my order before leaving. I am a patient and reasonable customer, but I was given no warning of the roast taking a long time, no update on when to expect my food, and no apologies from the waitstaff who took my food. After wasting an hour in the restaurant and most of my evening travelling to and from your restaurant I feel mostly upset I didn’t get to eat the roast dinner and more upset that I will now be put off from coming back and bringing my family and friends. On my last visit I was taken care of wonderfully by a woman with short hair, her attentiveness should be the benchmark for hospitality in the venue for the staff to learn from. I rated the food 5 stars as the first time I went it was delicious, 10 out of 10 fantastic, but upon second visit the food didn't exist. by way of average this would yield a result of 2.5, however my fond memories of that first dinner shall grant you that extra 0.5 stars.

Being in this lovely pub for a birthday, the food was amazing and the services as well, we were really looked after by Jazz and Fay and the whole atmosphere felt really good. Good selection of beers as well Highly recommend

Frederica made our Sunday lunch a wonderful one. She was serving several tables but still had such great customer service and upbeat energy. I’ll definitely be returning.

I arranged a Christmas meal for my team at Paradise on 22nd Dec. We had the most amazing time, not only was the food fantastic, but more importantly the service was exceptional thanks to Fay. Her service was incredible - she went over and above to make our night really special. Polite, warm, attentive, friendly - just a few words to describe this gem in your team. The atmosphere in the dining room was electric thanks to Fay's personality, everyone was having a great time. We will definitely be back and look forward to being served by Fay again :)

NIGHTMARE!!! From the moment I booked 5 months prior to my birthday event, I booked over 25 guests for dinner and then for a boogie straight afterwards. After guests confirmed their dinner options they all responded and selected their menu choice, but a link was not sent for them to make payment, which I then had to chase only to be told I was given the wrong menu. So I had to share a new link for my guests to choose from a different menu which wasn’t the greatness. On the day of the event I went to set-up only to find out there were no names to help indicate what guests had ordered (please note this is a set menu) so that meant I had write up guests names and seat them accordingly. I was also informed the day before which was a Saturday of what my guest had ordered where one of them was incorrect and the member of staff via Design My Night was unable to assistant me however very apologetic. Back to the day of the event I went through the setup with the projector screen with the manager of the venue whom came across very helpful and friendly. Fredericka whom I believe is the head FOH reassured me everything will be ok regarding serving food to guests as I was now running late to get back. I asked for the food to be served at 4pm and this was not done as the venue stated all the guests had not arrived and some of my guests were instructed to go downstairs to make their orders for drinks etc. Please note there was a bar spend of £1000 which also include the food but my guest was told to go downstairs and pay for their drinks as they had no staff to serve my guests which obviously had an impact on my bar spend. Moreover, when I arrived which was 1.5 hours late some of my guest just got served their starters and some of the orders where mixed up. So this resulted me going on to the mic to help front of house team to find out which guest order what meal. As this event was broken into 2 parts dinner 4-6pm and then 7- 11.30pm some of my dinner guests did not receive their desserts due to the delay of trying to established who was having what and the fish and chips meal took over 30-45 minutes to be served which I felt so bad for seeing other guests eating and them still waiting. My Deposit. It took over 3 weeks to get my deposit as no one was available at the Paradise to take my call due to their opening hours and when I did go down to the venue and spoke with manager he was very patronising and did not listen to my disappointment regarding the service I had experienced he was very dismissive and patronising and even lied to my face stating a guest of mine came to him saying they did not receive some of their meal so that would have an impact on my deposit refund and when I spoke with his front of house regarding this she confirmed this was inaccurate information. He never once apologised and was more focused on me arriving late to my own birthday, which I was considering to cancel as my Father was rushed to hospital 2 days before the event. The waiting staff were lovely but inexperience and not enough of them on the day. One of the team member Faye offered to pay for a meal to apologies for my experience as she saw I upset I was, which I may add she was not even working on the day. I thought this was sweet and considerate but I declined the offer. I will not be attending the Paradise again due to this reason which is really sad considering I've used this venue for 2 previous birthday bookings and this was the WORST experience ever. They need better management team and more staff who are trained.

DO NOT BOOK FOR PRIVATE HIRE!!! Had a party there 2 months ago and still waiting for deposit to be refunded. Communication poor during booking process and post party to get deposit refunded. Each time I have called I have been told someone will call me back and I’m still waiting. Looks like I will have to drive there to get this sorted! Abysmal service!!!

Very cool spot, Victorian decor, lots of room. It was quiet when we went, but I imagine it's a great venue for events!

The service from Fay was impeccable. If I had a business like this I would employ her a 1000 times over.

We were quite disappointed as you changed our bookings after a mistake you made but did not tell us that the top floor was closed for a private party with no dancing possible.

Went for our Xmas party on the 8th so it was a set menu but it was great. They managed a big party of hungry staff excellent and the food was very tasty and just enough. A little bit pricey on the drinks at the bar but overall an amazing experience.

The Staff are amazing and all the house is like a old museum. Really awesome. Thank you

Food and drinks were very good and at good prices too. Service was a bit slow towards the end, but I believe because the dining room was very busy.

The new Christmas menu of 2023, that they offer, that the gravy sauce for the turkey dish and the sauce for the vegetarian wellington was extremely salty otherwise it could be a bit better

It’s my first time here at Paradise to have a roast dinner with our family and friends and I am amazed at how attentive the staff are here. They have been incredible with our children and so kind and so hands ESPECIALLY Fay who’s been incredible!!! I would definitely come back here as long as she’s serving us but to be honest, everyone is so kind! The roast was really good too so an all round win.

Had a confirmed booking this Saturday for dinner with friends visiting from abroad, and have just been notified it's now cancelled, with no explanation why. Needless to say, not impressed.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The decor is beautifully shabby chic and the food was delicious. They were unfortunately let down this time by a shortage of staff at the end. I would still recommend it.

Currently sitting here hungry after being served rotten haddock well over an hour after ordering! Promised another dish…i chose squid….still waiting! Its 11pm, first order was made at 8:20. Needless to say, first and last visit

We were a very large group with several kids and they gave us the room on the right which was perfect. Our waitress Fay managed the group very well and made it a pleasant birthday for my husband

Lousy service. Cancelled our reservation for a party og 8 persons 4 hours in advance. Not easy to find a New place to eat in that short notice.

We were delighted to have dinner at Paradise by way of Kensal Green. Fay was a wonderful and very nice host. The food was excellent in this cosy restaurant.

So my friend booked the reading room and few of us rang up couldn’t get ahold of anybody and then a lovely woman called Fay helped and answered all our enquiries over the phone and advised we ask for her Supervisor Federica when we arrived and let me say these woman were amazing. My friends birthday was a success because of the teamwork of the whole paradise team we was in the reading room for some privacy but Federica and Fay was very attentive while running a restaurant full of people on a weekend ! They made sure all guest were happy and everything was running smooth! The chefs that made my canapés thank you so much they were amazing and catered to everyone’s wishes. In future please answer emails or calls.

We booked the place for a private party but they were a little disorganised to start. They served awful bland sandwiches to start followed by lovely hot canapés. Lots of people enjoyed the party, drinks and venue generally.

Great to be sitting outside. The area outside could do with tidy up. The food was good. Fay the waitress was lovely. Will definitely come again. Get some celery salt and horseradish for the Virgin Mary! Or let you customers know you haven’t got it . Will come again.

Staff are lovely, but they are overworked and don’t have time to breathe let alone spend time on the customers. Our server Fay was lovely. The food and cocktails were exquisite.

I went to Paradise By Way of Kensal Green for a sunday lunch and it was the absolute worst service I have ever had. Arrived about 20 mins early for our booking and offered to sit at the bar to wait but after being told they had to check were taken to the almost empty dining room. Sat down and ordered drinks, and I asked the server to check that a gift voucher that I had prebooked with had been applied (I also emailed the day before). After about 10 mins the drinks were brought to us - they were poured then had sat on the bar for a while, it then took three staff members to stand around talking about the drinks before figuring out to bring them to us (could see and hear from where we were sat). None of the staff seemed to have a defined role and nobody knew what they were meant to be doing, so were constantly frazzled despite there only being three tables at the time. Food came out, it was ok (did find a hair in the cauliflower cheese but had finished eating at that point so didn't feel worth mentioning). Up until this point, the service had been kind of entertainingly bad, it was quite comical almost - three people to figure out taking two drinks to a table! However, it then took 50 minutes for them to give us the correct bill and let us pay. Took ten mins for the initial bill to come after we asked. Wrong amount, told the server and reminder her about the gift voucher. Then she brought a second wrong bill (50% instead of £50). Then onto a saga where three different staff kept coming over, insisting we pay because the manager, the only person who can put a discount through the till, had decided to leave for an hour in the middle of the day. This is despite the acknowledging it was their mistake not mine. After 50 mins of back and forth and them ignoring us sitting there, a server snatched the printed voucher (which I wasn't even meant to need, should have all been done through their system) from my hand whilst speaking on the phone to her manager saying that she has the 'paper that she "claims" is a voucher' as if I'm trying to scam the place! She them came back with the card reader showing the correct amount, no word of apology for the mistake or delay, and just held it at me to pay. The service charge was still included which I thought was a joke considering how terrible it had been, but I couldn't be bothered to argue and didn't want to spend another 50 minutes waiting. No clue what the manager is doing but clearly not training his staff, checking emails, or even being at work during working hours... And if they don't want to be part of the Gourmet Guide gift voucher scheme they should opt out, because they clearly don't know what they're doing with it. In case the restaurant tries to deny this, I have a photo of the time on the receipts to show how long between the initial receipt and me finally being able to pay (doesn't include the time before the receipt was brought to us!). Also have the confirmation from the restaurant that the money was paid to them in advance from the voucher, in case they try to blame that. During our 50 min wait, we had plenty of time to people watch and see the poor service the tables around us got too, not just us! The table behind us had to ask multiple times for drinks and received them after 20+ mins, and the servers checked at least twice what the table next to us wanted to drink because the server kept forgetting/getting confused. And this was when the dining room was still mostly empty, can't imagine how much worse it is when it's busy (I see on their website they can cater parties and weddings, must be a disaster)

We loved this place ! We had delicious Sunday roasts and the service was very fast. They made us feel like home. A special thank you note to Federica who’s a very attentive and polite head waitress.

Déçu de cet établissement dans lequel j'attendais mieux. L'endroit est vraiment beau mais malheureusement nous n'avons pas eu un très bon service. Les serveurs n'étaient pas très souriant et se montraient que très peu disponibles, pourtant nous n'étions que 4 dans le restaurant. Les cocktails étaient plutôt bon. Les plats quant à eux étaient décevant. Sûrement car ils sont arrivés après 1h d'attente après avoir commander. Pourtant ce n'étaient pas des assiettes très élaborées.(burger et fish ans chips). Donc grosse déception.

Love The Paradise. We were 4 and the other 3 had never been before but also loved it. The Sunday roast was very good but the beef portion seemed a little less than usual. When I queried this, they immediately brought us another plate of beef which was generous and of course delicious. When my Kir Royale failed to arrive because they didn't have one ingredient, it was replaced f.o.c with another cocktail. These glitches could have been because the manager was away, but the staff worked really hard to please us in every way and we shall return.

I follow a IG food influencer & she over hyped it. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t to die for either.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at a restaurant that left me utterly disappointed and outraged. While the dishes were passable, there was nothing exceptional about them. However, the real issue lay with the server, who shamelessly took advantage of our trust throughout the entire meal (we are not english, no doubt that they use that to trick us). From the very beginning, the server seemed intent on forcing additional dishes upon us without any consideration for our preferences or feedback. I ordered a dish with meat and mashed potatoes, but the server insisted that I also needed to get fries with it. Despite my clear objection, he persistently pushed the chips on me, and against my better judgment, I relented. To my dismay, I ended up with far too much food, leaving a mound of untouched fries on my plate. Even worse, when it came time for dessert, my companion and I had already expressed that we were not particularly hungry. Nevertheless, the server arrogantly insisted we order a dessert, and we settled for a simple scoop of ice cream. Shockingly, without seeking our approval, he brought us not one, but three scoops, knowing full well that the price was per scoop. This sleight of hand resulted in us paying an exorbitant amount for desserts we didn't even want. Adding insult to injury, the restaurant's deceitful practices didn't end with the excessive dessert charges. To my utter disbelief, upon receiving the bill, I noticed an additional charge of 12.50% labeled as a tip. It was infuriating to see that they had taken the liberty to include a tip without any prior notification or consent. As tourists, my companion and I were taken aback, but we chose not to create a scene out of respect, unlike those reprehensible individuals who run the place. While we wanted to voice our dissatisfaction, we decided to handle the situation calmly and maturely. However, it was crystal clear that we couldn't let this slide without some form of action. The level of dishonesty displayed by the restaurant was beyond unacceptable, and we were determined to address it. The audacity of the server and the blatant dishonesty of the restaurant management are nothing short of appalling. Shame on them for such deceptive practices and disregard for their customers' preferences and well-being. I wholeheartedly warn everyone to stay far away from this establishment and never trust a word the server says. It is no surprise that the restaurant was virtually empty, with only one other.
