Great food, however a lot more expensive than others we’ve used and £5 delivery is a bit steep! For that reason we probably won’t use again

I order every week and have never been disappointed. The food always arrives fresh and hot too. This is the best Indian food on the Wirral. I wouldn’t go anywhere else

My son and I enjoyed an excellent take away Curry from Poppadoms this evening. Very tasty food and will be visiting again soon

Changed ownership or has a different chef because the food is absolutely fantastic now. Ordered chicken Bhuna, lamb rogan josh and chicken tikka masala with mushroom rice and naan. Food was warm, tasty and fresh. Service was good. Will use this place again.

Every time we’ve had to use another Indian takeaway (when Pappadoms were closed) we’ve been sorely disappointed, and wondered how other places stay in business. This is the only place that I can taste all the spices and herbs individually and there’s aplenty. Pappadoms is the reason I’m a tad chunky with a Gaviscon addiction.

Had a lot of meals from here , had a meal a few weeks ago , it was not great it was chicken madras and was like rubber, however always try again , as we have, so we tried jalfrizi ,chicken , now we havve tried this in a few places , never had it in a tomato sauce ,it was awful, , so ,we will not be back ,time for a chande , awful meal 🤮🤮👍

My brother raves on about this place, so we ordered! WOW! One meal alone could of fed 4 of us, foolishly we ordered a meal deal each! And I have to admit we polished the lot off over 2 days ,ordering was simple, easy and lots to choose from, delivery was speedy, delivery driver was smart, well mannered and wore a huge friendly smile, price was more than fair, this place isn’t shy with the meat, I’m a big meat lover! it arrived hot , tender, juicy, full of flavour... would definitely recommend and will be our family favourite takeaway for the foreseeable future, lucky for us it’s only up the road! An easy 10 out of 10 :-)

I have used this take away for a number of years. The quality and price is always good. I think it has changed hands/chefs as the normal items have changed in size such as the byriani, the size/number of samosas per portion and size of the onion bahjis. The convenience of the online site is handy. You can collect loyalty points and 10% discount which is great value. Food takes too long for delivery hence food gets delivered cold and you have to pop it in the microwave. I usually collect which is better so I recommend doing that if you can as food is spot on and ready to collect on time. I would still recommend this take away but maybe not for delivery if you are hungry. I will definitely continue to use.

Lovely food, cooked to your requirement, great portion sizes , and reasonably prices, compared to other restaurants , would recommend a visit ..

Have used this takeaway curry house for some time. Usually very good but this time was absolutely excellent. Online ordering was easy and the delivery time turned out to be bang on. Food was piping hot and was really delicious. Incredibly tasty starters and main dishes just brilliant. Thanks Poppadoms !!

Only found Pappadoms by chance. Think I stumbled on the best Indian take away. Food is excellent. Delivery service is very good.

STAY AWAY 2 hours after ordering they were still very rude and arrogant and didn’t seem bothered about the lies they were telling, never even got the food , never again

Ordered food at 19.00 Saturday night 12-1 .....had to ring up at 20 35....to ask where our food was ....very rude man answered on phone stating it was the next food out ...asked if we could have some free poppadoms because the food was late ....the guy just hung up ....do not use this take away please its rubbish and rude

chicken tika masala wasnt as creamy as it usally is an tub was half empty. other than that food was amazing.

Been going here for a long time , had curry the other night , and it was nothe best , pieces of chicken in a sauce and it tasted a little funny , meat somosas were nice , but getting smaller and small , that small not worth having , come on , get back on track , WON T rush bach here

absolutely delicious! the food was all so fresh and lovely and hot too. it was possibly the nicest Indian meal we have had. seriously amazing :)

This takeaway is always good tasting food and never usually anything to complain about but was disappointed with the portion size tonight. The main was chicken tikka masala which was lovely but very little chicken in it and small pieces at that.

Over an hour late and rang twice to find out where it was . When delivered it was cold . Not happy

Food was amazing as always but unfortunately did not receive our salads and chutneys to go with our starters this evening.

Lamb was extremely tough. Chicken was reconstituted, processed stuff. Chutney were nice though. A delivery fee & a service charge what's that all about!?! Will not use again.

Always enjoy Curry's from Poppadoms, we've also tried a lot of different meals too, never had a bad one! 👍

Madras was lovely but korma was bland. One meal was forgotten too and had to get dropped back off later than rest or order which was already late

Food was ok, but over sweet for our tastes and not much chicken in a lot of sauce. Bhajis, papadoms and naan bread were good. Worst thing was that it was almost cold. I suspect that they put too many orders on with one delivery driver so that it takes a long time to deliver and we were at the end of the run. as a result the chips were soggy. Probably won’t order again. Delivery was later than app said once order went through. it arrived early which was good but still took an hour and a half. this would have been ok for a Saturday night if the food had been better.

Placed an order this evening at 18:42pm, my delivery time was then altered to 20:05pm, it then arrived at 20:27, after ringing up and no one was able to advise what time the order was placed until the driver arrived. It took in total 1hour 45mintues for it to arrive, not really apologetic for the inconvenience and still charging a delivery fee for no real explanation for the delay. Poor Service.

shocking service, food was 40 minutes late, had to ring up twice to see where the order was, when it arrived they’d forgotten 2 things from order, don’t know how as they had nearly 2 hours to prep and deliver it. food was mainly cold when arrived, won’t be ordering from here again. such a shame as it use to be a lovely restaurant.

Food was delivered over half an hour late. One of the currys had leaked in the bag. 3 curries that were ordered were all far too spicey to eat and were advertised as mild curries. Will not be ordering from here again. £60 odd wasted on food that is inedible.

I love this take away, they’ve recently refurbished the take away which has freshened its look. Food was promptly ready to collect. The whole order was complete. When I returned with my takeaway, I noticed the food wasn’t quite the same, but still enjoyable. I think they’ve changed the chef or management but I can’t decide whether it’s nicer or not. There was a lot of oil/gee on top of the dishes. I would still visit as it’s my local and it just hits my cravings for an Indian.

Our local Indian takeaway and we love the food from here. Generally great, we’ve had an issue in the past with it being cold and waiting a long time for delivery, we wanted a refund or hot food. They wanted their food back, but aside from that they’re great. The Bahjis are my favourite. No Indian will ever compare, I’m almost certain of that.

Great take away, had to wait an hour for delivery but it came at the time they said it would come.. and it was Friday night so I imagine they were busy, which is understandable. Food was delicious. I would highly recommend.

Only problem was the delivery man didn’t have change but other than that perfect food and great delivery and great service! Food hasn’t disappointed me yet :) x

Rogan josh was completely ruined. Didn’t have any tea. Was so hot it hurt my mouth and throat to eat. Is only supposed to be medium hot and easily was vindaloo hot. Won’t use again now. Gutted.

I’ve eaten here for years and it’s always been great! But something is different recently? Different cooks / different owners?? I don’t know, but the food is nowhere near the quality it once was. The curry seems flavourless the mint yogurt has white lumps in it. It’s a shame really

Not a bad takeaway service. Food was delivered on time (60 minutes) and the food tasted fine, though it did need reheating as it was obviously had had some time to cool. Prepared to try again, a nice 10% voucher was included for our next order.

I’m devastated my favourite Indians changed hands. it’s alright but it’s not poppadoms standard 😔 mango chuntney wasn’t put in either and replaced with yoghurts. hopefully they can improve but I think we may have to have a little look around for a new Indian 😪

Ordered from these guys, the driver swore at me asking me to walk downstairs next time we order. We live in an apartment and expect the food delivered to out door. He couldn't be bothered to walk up 1 flight of stairs. The next time we ordered the restaurant declined the order and cancelled our order. Disgusting company. DO NOT ORDER FOOD FRON THESE PEOPLE.

Order made at 720pm still not arrived by 910pm. No one should wait 2 hours for a delivery its a joke

I understand its a Saturday and its a busy time but i called up twice they kept saying 5 mins. I ordered a special mixed meat i had no king prawns 2 pieces of chicken and maybe 2 pieces of lamb it wasnt good at all disappointed with the meal the delivery driver was so apologetic and he just works there its not his fault at all

Food was nearly 2 hours late, phoned twice and kept saying would be only a few minutes away, we waited an extra half an hour. Some of the food was hard and cold , terrible service will not order from here again.

Curry here is spot on ,for starter I had the meat samosa wife had vegetable samosa ,next up was chicken madras chips and rice with garlic nan bread ,all spot on ,will be back for dure

Ordered food at 18:00 turned up at 20:30 ! After saying would be delivered at 19:20, food was cold chicken was burnt!! Poppadoms were stale!! Absolute joke won’t be ordering from here again!

The food was over 25 minutes late despite me calling to ask. Popadoms were stale, korma tasteless and the whole lot was like warm on arrival. The potato dishes and mushroom rice was very nice once heated up. Disappointing.

Over 1 hour late for delivery. Rang when it was ten minutes late was told it would be fifteen minutes. When my order finally arrived my onion bhajis has bin swapped for samosas which I did not want. Just eat contacted the resteraunt who would not redeliver my food nor would they refund my order. Very disappointed

Good service and lovely starters of lamb tikka and chicken chat.However the main course totally let the business down. "Pappadoms special" was so not special. Tasteless and with no spice whatsoever.

The food was very nice but I was disappointed that the driver still didn’t know where I lived; despite calling the restaurant ahead of time to explain the issues other drivers have. The waiting time was well over an hour and the food was late.

I waited 2 hours for my food to be delivered!! When it eventually came it was practically cold! Shame too as the food wasnt bad just very dissapointed with delivery time and the fact my food wasnt hot.

Decided to collect due to the 1hr/1hr 15 delivery time. Told collection would be 19:25 didn’t get our food until 19:45. Wouldn’t have minded the wait, if the food was hot when we sat down to eat it. And there was a waste of curry sauce and salad which we selected we did not want. Normally a good service and good food quality maybe tonight was just too busy for them.

Fab food - will be ordering from here again.

Tasty food, it was ready on time and piping hot. The Korma is really good and the Madras was nice and spicy.

This is my first time ordering from here due to a recommendation from a friend of mine, due to the food being an hour late and the poor service from the restaurant I will probably not be ordering from here again

The food was absolutely tasteless. Both were Korma so both of us agreed there was no taste whatsoever in the meal. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. 45 mins early is worrying

Food took over 2 hours to arrive, phoned the restaurant and they said it's on way, 25 minutes later arrives and now missing bits of order. not acceptable

went for collection as that’s usually the quickest option. they added 30 mins on original time and it was still 10 mins over the time they said. Took over an hour in the end, really lovely food tho.

Disappointed at how late the delivery was. no apology given. ended up eating at nearly 10pm which is unacceptable. food as always was lovely. but apprehensive about coming back given the 2 and a half hour wait.

Amazing food 😍 I had a chicken bhuna and the chicken just melted in my mouth 🤤 beautifully cooked! Rice was perfect, naan was perfect 👌 best food I’ve ever tasted, absolutely delicious 😋 will be coming back everytime I want takeaway haha ❤️

Butter chicken was very bland. Very little heat to it considering its made with madras sauce! Also it only had 6 chicken pieces... The naan bread fell apart and was very dry.

Great indian takeaway giving a great service. Food so tasty and delivered hot. Great selection of vegetables and crunchie not soggy. Starter of Bombay potatoes with pompadom was perfect and a great starter. Definitely worth ordering from.
