Very overpriced. Food not good as should be according the price. “Day vegetables” steamed frozen broccoli and carrots 😡.Not going back there again.

Our friends eat here regularly, with the restaurant coming highly recommended. We received a warm welcome and this was extended throughout the evening. When deciding what to eat, the waiter warned that the starters were a fair size and he was correct. The mussels were a size that you would normally see as a main in other restaurants, which were soft and beautifully cooked in a lovely sauce. Two of us went for skate, which again was a good size and once more, the meals were perfectly cooked, with the flesh being soft and milky. The pizza was prepared with care and such was the size that some was boxed to take away. The fillet Rossini was again cooked to perfection and was full of flavour, being accompanied by the right amount of vegetables. A great evening all round with a wonderful atmosphere with the others diners clearly enjoying themselves. I cannot recommend the restaurant highly enough and we will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.

Had the most wonderful evening at Papillion in Chigwell last night 72 of us, food was piping hot and service was excellent. 👏👏 well done. Best evening ever.

I had a family party of 20 for Sunday lunch at Paillon last week , including two toddlers and a 90 year old. Staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming and very accommodating. Food and service was excellent. I can highly recommend this restaurant. All round an excellent afternoon.

Wow! Hadn’t been to this restaurant for a while and really pleased we did. The service was very welcoming and quick. The food we ordered was not on the menu or specials but we had had the beef wellington before and it was excellent so we asked and Chef delivered a fabulous dish. I would recommend this venue for families, friends and couples as it’s fits the bill for all diners! Enjoy Guys!

I went to Papillion with 2 of my friends. We were seated before another group, yet they were served and given drinks first. I had seen online that there was a set menu, but when I asked for one the owner made a disgraceful face at us and treated us as though we weren't worthy to be served from then on out. The service wasn't great and it took a very long time for our order to be taken. The food was acceptable, but it was a very unpleasant experience due to the owner and we will not be returning.

Delicious food, and outstanding service from the very friendly manager and waiters. The restaurant is a little crapped but if anything this adds to the atmosphere. Will definitely be visiting again

Ordered a takeaway for Mother’s Day, the pasta was okay, ordered a portion of calamari and I couldn’t even bring myself to look at it. It cost £10, and it was 5 small disgusting stone cold pieces. That’s £2 a piece, revolting. Can’t forget the stale heard bread other. Unforgivable and won’t be ordering again, day light robbery. And also, the chef wasn’t wearing a mask to cook. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

When booking we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out, I replied if the weather is nice we could sit outside that’s fine or inside if not. When we arrived it was hammering down with rain.. we were still seated in the garden. Not the best start.. The menu looks like it was typed up by the owners primary school child, littered with spelling mistakes on home printer paper with pictures of dishes randomly slapped across pages. Far too many options it’s clear none of its being made fresh. For my main I chose pesto linguine.. very simple dish consisting of just pasta and a sauce.. I nearly fell off my seat when I saw the price £16.95 for half a bowl of dried pasta with barely any pesto on. The quality was bad the service worse. I won’t be going back, find a proper Italian that serves freshly made pasta made on the premises is my advice

Amazing service! I had ordered delivery from here a couple of times and decided to visit now that they had re opened. I felt completely safe due to the Covid-19 restrictions all staff members had face coverings, their was sanitisers at the entrance and around the restaurant and more than enough space. We have been coming here for years now and always find a good atmosphere, warm friendly service, and enjoy lovely home cooked food. As the food is generally prepared on the premises, there are occasional inconsistencies, but a quick word to the staff will soon put things right. I can't understand people going straight to Trip Advisor without giving the restaurant a chance. It seems malicious to me.

There were 6 of us. Each one agreed that the food was very good and very large portions, The service was excellent. We would definitely be going there again.

After attending this restaurant for years whilst based in Wanstead, My husband and I were so utterly disappointed with the food. One starter went back and both mains. More disappointing was the full charge for everything. Needless to say, we left no tip and won't frequent ever again. Prime location, one would have expected so much better. Would love to give five stars, but could only give one.

We have eaten here quite a few times for lunch and in the evening, sometimes with quite a few companions but usually there are four or six of us. The food is consistently of a very high standard but not cheap; one is OK with that so long as the standards are kept high and they always seem to be. They don't get very busy at lunch-time so there was just the proprietor front of house. The service was a little lacklustre today but just about acceptable. I really don't like the way plates of food are passed in front of another diner to be put if front of me. However, there is one thing that REALLY ANNOYS ME: they have a large billboard outside promoting their good value two-courses for £12.50 lunch menu but they always bring the regular menus to the table and one has to ask for the special one. I have given four stars because the food was so good.

Llegamos aquí a las 7. 30 y me dijo el camarero nos podíamos comer aquí si terminamos a las 21:00h.

Éramos un grupo de 4. Pedí carne stroganoff de las ofertas especiales. La carne era como de cuero. No sólo no utilizan la carne equivocada, pero no cocinar. El sabor no era justo. Básicamente no comestible. El camarero me di cuenta de que no podía comer y se lo llevaron. Entonces pedimos pollo con berenjena y queso y realmente esperamos demasiado tiempo para eso. Deberíamos haber llamado un día como los demás tenía todo terminado sus principales. El pollo no era mucho mejor. Tenía algunos sosa salsa de tomate en la parte superior. Realmente decepcionante. Los otros habían chuletas de cordero, y un par de platos de pasta, que también eran bastante simples pero aceptable.

Llevé a mi madre aquí para un pre-cena teatro. Ambos ordenados exactamente el mismo entrante y plato principal. Teníamos frito con salsa de arándano y queso brie, aunque era preciosa y ligeramente por debajo de la lasaña casera, que era delicioso. El servicio era bueno. Encantador, suculenta comida italiana. Disfrutamos de Papillon pero no es "fino". Desde el cierre de Nuovo en Buckhurst Hill, ahora hay muy pocos tradicional salsa roja "articulaciones" a la izquierda de la zona. Claro, puedes ir a una cadena como Zizzi o Prezzo o uno de los últimos independientes restantes como "Leonardo" en Queens Road, desafiar las colas infames en Bel-sentarse en Woodford Green o chow abajo en "La Baitta" en Chingford, pero la moda para Baño Turco comida mediterránea que se sirve en un ambiente semi-disco ha dicho a ver estos bastiones de la cocina italiana perseguido.

Fuimos el domingo de Pascua para una comida con la familia y amigos. A su llegada sabía que no era una buena opción. Habiendo oído todo tipo de críticas, pensamos que darle una oportunidad. . . . Gran error. . Este lugar es horrible. . . . El servicio es patético. La comida insípida y sin sabor. . Lasaña fría.. . Pan de Ajo quemado.. . ? . . . También. . . Es normal tener lechuga iceberg con una cena con asado?

Mesa reservado para cuatro para la cena. Sitio web decía que tres platos especiales por £20, como aviso junta fuera y cuando llegamos menú dijo £22. 50 por cabeza. Yo señalamos al personal. Nos preguntaron si queríamos rollos, muy pequeñas, y por supuesto tres dijeron que sí.

Este es un agradable restaurante acogedor con comida muy buena, agradable wince.

Tenía un encantador almuerzo con mi amigo en su cumpleaños, el restaurante no estaba muy lleno y no me pude quejar de la comida o el servicio. Nos sentamos cómodamente y era agradable y cálido, han tenido comidas en un par de otros lugares y este fue de lejos el mejor.

Nuestra primera visita a este establecimiento no impresionar. No había de bienvenida a su llegada. Ninguno de los camareros sonrió toda la noche y uno de ellos nos hicieron sentir como si estuviéramos en su camino.

Table booked for 8.30pm. Waited so long for service that I had to ask a waiter if we could order our food. Main course arrived at 11pm! Food was poor. I had very over cooked Dover sole and my mother-in-law had chilli prawn linguine which was bland and had no chilli in it at all. We complained to the waiter who did nothing, no apology or offer to replace with something else. The restaurant plays dance music late at night. If you want to go to party then order basic pasta or pizza but don't rely on having good quality food or service. If you are happy with that then this is the place for you.

La comida era promedio. Minestrone hasta helados hechos con verduras congeladas era stock - resultados de sin sabor me temo. Salmón en salsa de zanahorias y estaba delicioso pero patatas asadas no eran de las mejores accompliment. Había 4 grandes fiestas de cumpleaños, así que era ruidoso, agobiante y exagerar sentí pena por el individuo. Por desgracia, los camareros estaban desgarrados con la exigente clientela tan comprensiblemente no podría ser atento. Por desgracia, este no era el mejor día para posiblemente forma una opinión de este restaurante.

Nos había una mesa de 14 y tenía un menú fijo. La comida tardó un largo tiempo y estaba tan mal que 4 personas enviaron sus comidas y tenía el dinero sacado de la cuenta. Me molesta pagar precios del restaurante cuando me podría haber preparado una comida mucho mejor en casa. Nunca más.

Un buen restaurante pero muy ruidoso y mientras usted puede pensar esto le da ambiente, era agobiante.

Once de nosotros (Mixto) de niños y niñas fuimos para comer el domingo. Lo primero que hay que decir es que todos en una gran mesa redonda. Muchos restaurantes ofrecen una mesa larga o dos juntas para este número y hay que levantarse después de cada campo y moverse por si quieres hablar con los otros, pero aquí fue ideal. Nos reservamos para las 2 pm y estaba lleno pero no está llena.

La acogida en este lugar es fabuloso. El personal es muy atento y no podría haber hecho más por nosotros. Es propietario de la familia y los chefs son de un nivel muy alto.
