Papillon Pizza in Newham

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! They took our money and did not deliver our food. We ordered £100 worth of food and did not receive our food, we called deliveroo they said we have to talk to the manager. We called for two weeks, went in and we could not get through the manager, eventually they said the manager is dead and told me to shut the f**k up. They are extremely rude, unprofessional, racist and now I'm seeing these reviews I'm realising this is not the first time they've done this. They are scammers and I don't know how they have not been shut down for robbing people.

Sent the wrong food then were completely rude on the phone, refused to refund me and then hung up. Avoid like the plague.

I have been charged £35 for a pizza that came wrong (I orded specifically deep pan and it was not deep pan) I called to complain and the person who answered the phone was so rude. I got so upset that did not eat the pizza !! Still can not believe it !

pizza good chicken wings smelt and tasty weird

The pizza was okay, certainly not the best I've had. The chicken was tasteless but I'm glad they weren't oily. The food arrived like 15 minutes late and the person delivering the food was not apologetic in the slightest.

Ordered with high hopes but these hopes were soon smashed as the restaurant took far too long to deliver. waited nearly 2 hours from ordering and called the place 3 times the food came greasy and cold. ordered a dessert too and it was thrown into s box and completely squashed and broken The whole experience was unsatisfactory to say the least and it just got worse when the manager (Who just so happened to be the delivery driver) became argumentative on my doorstep and refused to hand over the food that I had already pre paid for. I find this very disrespectful

This is the third time I have ordered a bottle of drink and they gave me a can. Had already paid by card. Rang them, they said they would refund the money but didn't. Scammers

I’m sorry for a bad review but yesterday’s order was my worst experience with your restaurant I received a completely different order from what I ordered fair enough the drink and chips were the same as ordered, but instead of chicken kebab wrap you have me lamb donner with salad not even wrapped and didn’t even say anything... it’s there something wrong? And as soon as I want to call the restaurant and complain about it as it is a valid complain the restaurant is shut? Really poor experience don’t know if I’m buying from you anymore... plus for the future if you don’t know yet you can get sued and your restaurant can get shut for those kind of mistakes. Very poor service last night...

Food is good as per previous orders, however restaurant service was not so well and time of arrival was very bad this time I’m not sure why but it was over 20mins if the estimate arrival time which is not very well. Hopefully it will be better next time cause it’s not good to be late and not even let the client know

ordered bbq wings which was more like fried wings nower was there anything bbq about them. the cheese chips came with normal melted cheese instead of the orange cheese you would expect. the pizzas was just bland. very disappointed first time ordered and never again.

Order placed at 21:21, didn't arrive until 22:45 - 25 minutes after the agreed time. Quality is good and price is very reasonable. Last time I ordered it was early so this was a disappointment.

By far the worst service I have received from anyone I have ordered on here. Delivery was late and after being called 4 times we realised the driver was a the wrong place. when we received our order there was only 1 of the 4 items but the driver went back to his car and found the second item however we are still missing 50% of our order. tried to arrange a refund for the missing items but told they had delivered everything so no refund was due. to be fair, the food was ok. warm not hot and I have had better from other places. this is the first and last time I will use Papillion Pizza

Wrong drink delivered and food arrived 30 minutes early. Pizza +wings were OK.

Forgot to bring my drink, also asked not to knock on door, but still knocked loudly and woke kids ups, food was good and the time to deliver was good

BBQ Pizza was very bland and plain. Garlic bread was burnt. Original delivery forgot my coleslaw and drink so had to go back to get it and redeliver. Coleslaw was inedible. Not great value for money, wouldn't order from here again at all.

Ordered the chicken doner, got lamb instead. Still very tasty tho. Pizza was good because as ordered simple margarita so abit grease on it wasn't that bad

Wrong order. no option to buy garlic even though we asked for some. We ordered a chicken kebab and got doner. Parmo wasn't anything like a proper 'Teesside parmo'. Completely soggy bottom and the chicken was vile. Wouldn't order from them again.

Did nothing to receive the order, I was told 10 mins before the order was due that I would have to cancel the order as there was a problem with the driver,.

Had specified a later delivery time but food came in normal timescales. I was literally just in an by seconds.

Didn't bring the right drink when we needed the diet version (diabetic in the family). No excuse was given but suggested I had chosen the incorrect option (I double checked afterwards and I was not mistaken).

Very friendly and caring staff. Casual visits for really good pizza and kebab make me feel like visiting my friends house for dinner, owner call me by my name and make all food experience unique and special. On top of great food quality and friendly service prices are catered for "working class" people :)

Did not took the delivery.I rang restaurant twice to track my order. Both time they said it will be with me in 5 minutes. I told them i have to leave for work and due to late order i was getting late. So finally after my 2nd call when the driver did not turn up. I left For my work with out food. Will never use them again. Very disappointed

Delivery man wouldn't come to apartment door. I had to go down to ground floor to get it. Delivery man also didn't have 30p change.

had to wait an hour and a half, half an hour longer than the estimated time and had to call the place 3 times and the guy just said your food is almost there when it wasn't, lasagne was okay but chips tasted like they had been cooked twice

Pizzas are lovely but a bit overpriced compared to other halal places. But doner price is as usual and tastes good. Good quality doner meat, fresh salad, yumm garlic sauce and the day based meal deals are good deals. They do delivery as well.

Only receieved one can of miranda

ordered at 15:05 and informed it wilould arrive at 15:50pm, contacted the restaurant direct at 16:05 and was told "we don't just deliver for Just Eat, there were orders placed before yours" and informed it would be arriving in 15 minutes, contacted them again at 16:25pm and informed it should now be arriving, received phone call from delivery driver to collect downstairs in the lobby, didn't even bring it up 2 flights of stairs.

We order the pizza but was so horrible and un cooked and take soo long to come Waste of our money and time never gonna buy again from here again

The pizza was ok but my mother and sister seemed to love it. The thing that I was annoyed about was that I paid 1.70 for a 1.5l Fanta and instead I got a 1.5l flat mirinda orange. Apart from that nothing to complain about.

Didn't get what I ordered and and took an hour and a half to arrive. No apology from delivery driver who was confused when I explained I paid by card online when he was asking for the money

It had been an hour and the food still hadn't came, when calling the take away place we we're informed that the food still hadn't been cooked nor sent to be delivered after an hour! Completely disgusting and I will never order from here again.

Took over an hour for my food to arrive early in the afternoon when it's not even peak time. I called and they said the driver had left but was still another 15 mins. Too long for my liking

Terrible service. Food delayed and yet they stated it was delivered on app. Wrong pizza delivered. 90mins wait. The service has really gone down hill.

I ordered chicken and mushroom pasta but instead I received a meat lasagna. Secondly, I didn't receive my chocolate fudge cake! They got my order completely wrong! Do not recommend.

The order was delivered too early, but the food was lovely and the owners are friendly.

Order was supposed to be delivered after 45 minutes. An hour and a half later I called, and I'm told the order was not even baked... Cancelled it obviously. Very poor management of expectations, very poor customer service.

Delicious, incredibly thin crust pizza, great range of toppings and reasonably priced. Delivery driver turned up with a smile on his face. Recommended.

Pizza was greasy and oily... and not much variations with veg just onion sweetcorn and if you was lucky a pepper but very small... hardly worth the time to cut it that small lol

Ordered Papillon set meal with pepperoni. Pizza quite oily. Two types of pepperoni, all slices hidden under a thick layer of cheese. I'd rather have the pepperoni on top of the cheese or at least the same level. Therefore pepperoni was wet and not crunchy. Thin crust normal. Average in general but tasty for a starving man. Chicken wings were ok. Don't mind them at all. Good spices and taste of bbq. Garlic bread was reheated, microwaved. Disappointment. I guess it's because the order was 30minutes late. By the time other things were ready the bread gone cold and had to be reheated. Coleslaw made of cabbage and mayo only. Delivery 30 minutes late and wrong address but the driver went the extra mile and drove his scooter down the public footpath to reach me. I had to walk out to look for him too so it equals out. He tried to start a conversation so that's a plus I guess. You can have 2 servings out of this 13 quid order. If you are starving like I was You'll enjoy it. But if you are picky you'd better keep scrolling. Hope that's useful.

Absolutely no idea how to cook a parmo. No taste what so ever, Had to make alternative arrangements to feed my guests. As i had to bin all the food. An expensive mistake.

Burnt garlic bread, soggy fries and pasta that looked like tinned spaghetti with melted cheese ontop to try mask the taste. Really dissapointed after an hour long wait for delivery.

Ordered two pizzas. One pepperoni and a chicken one. The chicken one wasn't too bad but the pepperoni was disgusting. Not fresh, greasy, it tasted awful around the borders. Pizza took an hour and twenty minutes to arrive. Even tho I asked them to call upon arrival as it was late and we didn't want to disturb the neighbours which have a newborn baby, they arrived and pounded on the door, further complaining I didn't have a bell. No call. Will not order again.

The delivery guy tried to force me to come downstairs to meet him as he was busy and had other deliveries to do. Then when I said I wasn't going to come downstairs, he said that he would go do the other deliveries and come back to me in 15 minutes. I already had waited over an hour for a delivery of 2 pizzas only round the corner. The delivery man said I had no respect

I made an order around 7.30pm today. Then it said it would be delivered by 8.15. Suddenly it was past the time I haven't received my order. So I called them up one of the staff couldn't talk English properly. The food was hot but the delivery service was very poorly. I had to wait half an hour for the food to get delivered. Not happy at all.

Very nice food and great service as usual. We would defo recommend.

Normally I'd thoroughly support this takeaway but they keep forgetting and it's starting to make me think about using somewhere else.

Pizza came in good time and was pretty tasty. Nothing special but decent for the price. Garlic bread was rock hard and tasted like nothing but I've honestly never had good garlic bread from a pizza delivery place so not faulting them there.

Food was good. Took about an hour to arrive but it was late on a weekend. One thing I would advise is that it is not mentioned on just-eat that there is a minimum £10 order. I've seen on other takeaways on here that you can make it clear on here on minimum orders for delivery. So I would advise that you do the same so everyone knows what the minimum order is.

Food was delivered very quickly, with a smile. Pizza was much better than the local competition in Newham. Glad to have finally found a pizza place worth spending money on around here.

Although the delivery was a little late it was well worth the wait, I ordered a deep pan veneziana pizza with a couple of extra toppings and it was scrumptious, have added it to my favourite meals

i'd only order the thin base rustica, as not keen on the others, but the rustica is always spot on, happy to recommend

I found three parts of a matchstick in my kebab, put me off, wished I had saved my money. Disgusting.

The food from that place is really good. The delivery time is reasonable. I have ordered twice from them already but unfortunately both times I had a problem with my order. The first time I have ordered 2 donners with chips along the rest of the things. I DID leave a note in the note section to the restaurant that I wanted the meat to be chicken NOT lamb. Unfortunately they apparently had overlooked that and we were delivered 2 lamb donners which was quite a disappointment. The second time, today, an item of our order was missing and this time the donner was missing the sauce, eventhough it was specified both on the menu and on the confirmation of the order. The rest of the food is great but the listed above DO leave us with a fair amount of doubt how exactly the orders at Papillon pizza are being handled.

The delivery driver turned up on my door with two pizzas and NO SIDE ORDERS. I asked him to inspect the receipt, which was the basis that he was trying to charge me £20+ for, and he couldn't read English. I told him where he could stick his pizza and that I wouldn't be ordering from them again, which is a shame. It's not rocket science to receive an order online from Just Eat and then deliver it. That is obviously complicated by employing illiterate foreign nationals. AVOID THIS COWBOY OUTFIT.

Twice ordered chips n cheese paid for it but never recieved

Pretty bad. I ordered a 'meal deal' and the first delivery was missing most parts, the delivery guy just said the shop was too busy and did not offer to bring the extra bits. I called the shop, 2 missing bits were delivered, 1 bit still missing. I called the shop, 1/2 hour passes and still no delivery of missing part. By now the rest is cold, you order main and sides to eat together, not 45 mins apart. I call the shop to complain - he says he can do nothing about it. Really bad service. I get that it is busy and sympathise but it bugs me to waste money like this. Won't be ordering from here again and I suggest you don't either.

The delivery arrived on time, but half order was missing and the size of the pizza was wrong and I did ask no cheese on the garlic bread..also 25 min later the guy came back with melted icecream

Haven't had a Papillon Pizza for a couple of years as I moved out into the sticks and was happy they are still here. Pizza was as great as ever, delivery was super quick (I'm only a lazy 2 min walk tho lol) and it's the same friendly driver! Highly recommended.
