Kebabish Original (Green Street) in Newham

Food was not that much great. The lamb biryani was loaded with extra spices/Masala, which made the taste horrible. Prices are not updated on the menus. Its higher than the menus.

Average, I don't like it when they serve cold naan which has turned hard.

I purchase 4 sheesh kebabs on Saturday, they were freshly made from those on display in the chiller. My son and I had to throw them away, they very rubbery and chewy, we could not even cut them with fork/knife . Had to use sharp kitchen knife. On Sunday I was passing by the shop and gave them feed back and suggestions, that they should keep their kebab wrapped up with cling film to prevent moisture loss which was the probable cause of them being very dry and chewy. The catering head staff was hostile and abusive and suggested that I was wrong and nothing was wrong with their food. In summary, food was terrible and staff horrible- stay away from restaurant. There are plenty of good restaurants in green street.

The mixed Kebab platter was really delicious with succulent meat and the portion was also well adequate for two people. Tried their Pulao rice as well, which was also good. Highly recommended.

I had a craving for Spanish and Lamb (palak gosh) so i hit it. Alone with sheesh kabab to add extra😋 kababish at Green Street, Forest Gate.

I think management had changed. Food is not as before but still OK to eat.

Yesterday, me and my family went there. We are eight people and we ordered butter chicken and tarka daal. The order arrived however, the chicken and tarka daal did not taste that good as it seemed not fresh and tasted stale. Also the customer service was not very good as the chef was telling us to just not eat the food if we don't like he was refusing to take responsibility and was dismissing it. When we arrived home, some of us felt sick started to have diarrhoea. This was most likely because of the food that they served as it was not fresh. We did not even eat as we only ate a little and they did not believe us plus when they were giving out the plates some of them were dirty and the employee was getting annoyed when we asked for different plates

I usually leave only good reviews in order to support restaurants but here, I have to mention I have never seen meat like that ever being served. I ordered a lamb doner. The meat was not fresh, some parts have dried up, don't get me wrong it was not grilled or dry in the sense there was no sauce. That was so unreal. Seems like the meat has stayed a while somewhere. I was with my young son, I preferred not to give him any meat and I had just one piece, and the taste was not the taste of fresh lamb at all so I literally left the whole plate behind. The plate in which they served the lettuce (no tomatoes contrary to the picture) was not clean. I mentioned it to one of the staff, he just remained silent and handed over the machine so I paid full (7£) even though I told him I haven't touched the food (except for the flake of meat I have tried and 3 small pieces of cucumber ). I am so surprised their hygiene rating is considered satisfactory.

HMC restaurant serving a range of food options. Most of the food was a hit such as the half chicken although the chicken biryani was a tad bland and lacked taste but was still edible. Service was good although some focus should be given to the presentation etc of the venue.

Please avoid this restaurant, they are not hygienic. We went with 5 family member, they didn’t even do the proper service. You order drinks, they don’t give it. The food was burnt. Also the chicken and meat curries are old and smells. The dishes were not clean. The peri peri chicken was half black, burnt. So if you want to enjoy with your family please avoid. Terrible experience.

I used to go to this place often but very outdated now No order system, they just nod their head and the wait begins for your food to hit the grill Chicken wings here are good but the rest of the items very average, especially the curries which are amongst the worst I've ever eaten I'd avoid this place, try daily fresh or Everest

Taste speaks out loud, flavors could be better to match an Indian palate.

Kebab Roll is 5 star... 2 kofta meat skewers in fresh made roll bread. Havn't tired anything else.. but all looks great :)

Can’t believe how oily the food is! The lamb curry was tangy and the dhal was lacking flavour. Disappointing, won’t be going again.

Chicken biryani Keema, peas & potatoes with tandoori naan Very basic setup and environment. The staff were helpful and we had a nice meal. Recommend if you are after some Asian food and not wait too long then worth checking out.

Alert! Please Read my review before you visit this place! This place is not what you think. It’s completely a new place with terrible service. The seating area is full of bad smells! I ordered fish fry’s was way too old and smelly. The donor kebab was averages and spoons were dirty ! Sick of seating area! Never again.

Absolutely disgusting, what a let down I asked for chicken donner as it looked very tempting, as the chef was preparing my food he bent down and picked up some old doner from the fridge behind the counter, I realised I had not seen him cut any donner but didn't think much of it, after taking one bite of it me and my friend both nearly vomited, the vile smell of old gone off chicken meat, they tried to.cover it up by adding extra spice but the meat was unbearable to even sit next to. We did not even finish the mix grill after that which was over greasy, chips weren't too bad,

Very rude attitude from the staff, they not only need to clean thier attitude but also the tables and cutleries. Their attitude is like customer should clean the table themselves. Left without ordering.

Did not feel clean, although better decor then some other similar restaurants, but the food tasted quite tangy - not sure if it was almost going off.

Extremely disappointed! Lack of staff and chef mourning about owners not arranging enough staff. I order food for takeaway, waited for 15 minutes and asked how long it will take, the chef simply replied I can't tell time, it will take very long. I simply cancelled my order and found another much better option down the road. It is a shame that the customer services are very poor and owners do not invest in quality!

I only recommend nehari and lamb kebab other things not so good

If Spice is your flavour, do visit for some lovely grilled food and a range of curries with traditional oven baken flat bread.

Green Street branch I asked for a desi tea which it's on the menu and the restaurant said there was too busy. when there really wasn't. 1st time I bought Nihari which was expired 2nd time bought kebab which was uncooked and there staff's don't have any manners and they don't no customer service I will never ever go back there again.

Everthing which i ordered was not fresh. Two years before i ate here. Which was quite good but yesterday 27 july. I will not recommend. Sorry but wasted of money and my family didn't enjoy the food like pakoray was smelly and grill chicken was dry.

It is not original ko kebabish. Name and owner have Changed. Quality of food is not good like before. I went there on eid. Grill was so dry and became cold in few seconds. Customer service was not up to standard. He forgot to give us a drink. We reminded him. Overall i will not not reccomend. I will not go again to eat in this restaurant. 😔

The food was old and off when we told the man he was so rude and said because it's hot sometimes some food may be slightly off but that's ok. Salad had hair in it. Ordered keema naan that was burnt and didn't even have keema in it. Don't think I'll be going back there again.

In previous Ramadaan, Iftaar time, you had to order food in advance . However, if it’s busy and iftar has passed, you wait and restaurant wouldn’t even offer a date. I hope things have now changed. I do not personally go there anymore.

Went there with family, unprofessional people shouting and arguing over the wrong orders , smelly kebabs , high price and low quality Deffinately not a place for a family to go out for dinner.

Disgusting place, spent about £80 for group of us and some of the food was from few days ago and chicken OMG was not cooked after we ate little we found out. Had food poison from this. We told the manager and they deny it saying it is cooked when clearly it was not. Worst part is they are part of the Eat in Help Out scheme but refuse to give you 50% discount and charging you full price

is the worst place i been. Im standing waiting and only have 30mins break as a ambulance driver when my food came i ask for onions and they start refusing saying they are for burgers not a kebab roll. So wasted my break then get short changed on my refund. The are rude and a joke.

Good place for mixed grill and nan they are the best on that road. The portion are the biggest. And they are nice staff even when its busy they try do their best. I like the lace once you go uneven when its busy the staff acknowledge you.i come their sauces and sheek kababs. Me and fiancé came here a couple months ago for the first time to order food. The staff there totally ignored us. Other customers came in and was able to order while we were still waiting to place an order, almost 20 minutes had past and we were still waiting to be served, by then several more customers came in an was served. In the end we called up the branch on high street north made a telephone order inside the green street branch then went to pick up our order which was ready by the time we arrived there. Unfortunately now with the high street north branch we will also stop our custom as they tried to over charge on minimum charge on card yesterday from £10-£15 which I soon learnt its illegal to charge minimum on the card now. Found the staff very rude and biased towards us completely acted as if we were invisible. So glad they over heard us making a food order to another branch. Walked out after order at the other branch was confirmed.

Amazingly.......... horrible. Absolutely unacceptable quality and standard. I was there today with my family. Paid £31.00. Ordered Nihari £8( which was NoWhere close to the taste of nihari, rather disgusting), Haleem £8 (please read the nihari comments). Extremely poor customer service. One thing good that I have promised myself that would never ever visit this restaurant again. They're not even worth a star, I did because couldn't post without one. The fact is they are worth nothing. Do some charity instead of going into these type of places. Absolutely disgusted.

Good food but the ambiance is not great. I would prefer takeaway instead of dining out with family. Chapli kebabs are better elsewhere.

Place is a decent place and the food is always hot served. Polite staff and always a seat available for eating in as well as having a baby chair. Kids friendly.

Been here several times and each time the experience gets worse. The eating area is always so dirty and I’ve seen cockroaches walking about freely. Another time the floor was so sticky, like curry had been dropped for a few days and they didn’t clean it up. I ordered a mixed grill and they heated left over meat that had been sitting there for at least a few days. They presented it like it was fresh but you can tell from just poking it that it was all old and stale. Lastly, the customer service is horrendous. The owner was at the front of the store, on his phone, with the volume full blast like he don’t care. I spoke to him to turn the volume down and then 10 minutes later he’s doing it again. Conclusion: Do not eat here, ever.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my family. The place did not seat that many people (probably around 70) and was busy. I ordered a kebab roll and the missus ordered a chicken tikka and the kids ordered an afghani skew each (which was least spicier than there peri chicken). The service was v good and the waiters worked extremely hard. Overall good experience. Next time I will try their afghani rice

Since I was there, three people had complained food being cold and not cooked properly. Service was slow even though it was empty. The lamb was very chewy. I heard it recently had new owners. Won't be coming here no more. Not impressed at all.

Mouse/rat infested!! I would give 0 stars if i could. We went into this place for a quick roll while we were trying to kill some time and wish we hadnt. Our food arrived in around 15-20 mins which we thought was a bit long but didnt mind. Not even half way through our food me and my husband saw a huge rat/mouse wandering around under the tables freely. As soon as we saw it we decided to get up and leave instantly without making a fuss. Whilst we were paying we told the guys quitely what we saw as there was other customers however they just laughed. They were not suprised nor apologetic. Disgusted at this experience I felt sick for the whole day. I hope we dont get food poisoning. This place needs a good pest control in place.
