Papillion Italian restaurant in Epping Forest

We had a wonderful lunch to celebrate our mums 92nd birthday. The food and service superb. Nothing was too much trouble and we were not rushed. We would thoroughly recommend Papillon excellent!

My husband and I booked an early dinner at Papillon. Staff were very friendly. The restaurant was clean and seating comfortable. Lovely Italian music playing in the background (not loud). We ordered the chicken escalope with spaghetti bolognese and chicken with mushrooms in cream sauce. The food was served hot and absolutely delicious. Good portions and value for money. A lovely atmosphere and would highly recommend.

we had heard good reviews about this place so we went recently to try it ourselves and to also show a bit of support for the local economy. we were very disappointed. the food was almost cold when it eventually arrived and there seemed to be very little care at how the food was presented. the waiters were surly apart from one. we will not return perhaps a bit more effort is required by Papillon.

Saturday night in Essex the Resteraunt was overbooked so the noise was ridiculous literally couldn't hear my neighbour speak so food ok not great ok service but we left early as we couldn't communicate I think if someone books for 70 percent of the resteraunt it really should be for a private party. I hope they earn loads from the others as my table of ten couldn't get out fast enough

Food was greasy and inedible, service was very slow. It is very expensive for such poor quality food and poor service. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will not return.

Booked dinner for Tuesday evening for the family. Staff were very attentive and the food was excellent! Drinks flowed and we had a fabulous evening. Music in the background played till late and they moved the tables aside so we could dance. Thanks Guys!

A couples night out. It was a really good experience and pleasant staff. Slightly expensive and a quite cramped at times with waiters whacking into your chair as they go past. At the end of night, music was played and people could get up and dance. This was a great idea and saved us moving elsewhere.

Worst Italian restaurant I have been to for years. The toilet was disgusting toilet paper all over the floor the hand towel bin was so full that the hand towels were all over the floor too and this was when we arrived at 7.30pm when we left later in the evening it was worse I told the staff and was told to use the mens toilet so no one had even attempted to clean it. How can they charge 5* prices for 2* facilities.

A pesar de su preocupación, el servicio fue bastante rápido. La comida no era genial, muy regular y fue realmente los fundamentos que estaban equivocados. No creo que he estado en un restaurante que logra su pizza. oversalt Fueron casi envió. Había una confusión con postre y un plato incorrectamente. En vez de aceptar que fue un error el camarero decidió discutir sobre ello y luego continuó acusando a nosotros para ser grosero de perderlo. No pensaré volver, lo que es una pena dado que hay lugar para una buena comida italiana, donde están. Hay otros buenos restaurantes italianos cercanos que no podéis entrar en el fin de semana. El hecho de que nunca se les debería dar un concurrido ni idea de que están haciendo algo malo bastante aparte de estos comentarios. Sugiero comer en algunas de ellas para ver cómo está hecho.

Sólo tenía una fabulosa cena en un lugar en el que nos gusta! Pero no necesitan ser totalmente sincero, mientras que la comida siempre ha sido genial ahora es fantástico!!! La comida era como Dios, que he tenido en cualquier lugar y que se juegue con el menú para satisfacer lo que quieras. Por favor, inténtelo de este lugar, ya que realmente es genial y al final de la noche se mueven las mesas de salida, de forma que puedes bailar y yo hemos tenido noches donde he estado allí hasta altas horas de la madrugada y nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos toda la noche! Lovely lunch excellent service , my husband had calamari nicely cooked followed by a main lamb shank loads of meat great mash, I had the goats cheese salad to start which was great followed for main breast of chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce and a selection of vegetables which you have to pay extra for which seems the norm now in restaurants but a excellent meal all the same.

Un típico restaurante italiano donde tienes que pagar por nada más allá de la red que la orden. Escalope de ternera que tenía, que era delicioso. pomodoro El spaghetti era muy sosa. También tuve otras dos partes. Cuece las patatas sabor la patatas asadas refritos y no era agradable. El queso era muy fuertemente con sabor coliflor con hinojo y era igual de desagradable.

Descubrí este restaurante cuando conduciendo a través de camino a Essex Chigwell desde la M25 (salida 26 después a través del Bosque Epping) excelente comida y servicio. Un buen restaurante italiano con un ambiente acogedor. Si alguna vez nos encontramos en la zona de chigwell seguro que volveremos.

Esta era la segunda vez que mi esposa, Angela y que me había invadido este restaurante para el almuerzo y no nos decepcionó. La decoración tiene una sensación agradable con plegables grandes puertas de cristal que dan. Nos recibieron cortésmente y nos llevaron a nuestra mesa. Había un afable intercambio de conversación y risas y el servicio fue profesional y no desiste. El menú y junta de sus ofertas son bastante variadas y deberían tener algo para satisfacer a la mayoría de los paladares. Nos comenzó nuestro safari culinario con Angela demoliendo sus langostinos butterflied en un ajo, salsa de tomate con un toque de especias; fui para las vieiras en el mismo tipo de salsa: el sabor realmente explotó en nuestros paladares exquisitos. Para nuestros platos principales, golf gevonese salmone, que fue presentado en el plato con salmón, gambas y cangrejos en una rica y sabrosa salsa; estaba perfectamente preparada y realmente sabroso. Angela librado una batalla con un pollo feliz y hongos licor de salsa, y nos encantó cada finos. Este Festival gastronómico fue bautizada con - y aquí es donde el servicio fue elevado a una preciosa - italiano Orvieto Amabile verdaderamente profesional. Pero, por desgracia, la primera botella tenían trozos de corcho flotando alrededor. Lo comentamos al hombre para atendernos. Y sin ningún argumento defensiva, se sustituye la botella con un fresco con una simpática jovialidad y no nos suele molestar con «flotantes' a la vista. Llegamos a la conclusión esta brillante experiencia comedor con un Limoncello cada una, y un Americano negro para mí y un te con limón para Angela. Gracias a todos en el Papillon es para la risa, charlar, y la comida. En esta experiencia, sin duda volveremos. Hasta entonces, sigue sonriendo.

Fuimos viernes 11 de marzo y 7 de nosotros tuvimos una preciosa mesa y el lugar estaba a tope con un gran ambiente. La comida era deliciosa. El servicio es muy amable siempre tienen una buena noche aquí y como que hay música y se puede bailar al final.

i went here for my birthday last week with 5 friends ,i had a wonderful nite ,the food was lovely big portions,the atmosphere was lively and entertaining. after everyone had eaten about 11pm the tables were moved out and the music was put on, everyone was dancing including the waiters they made my birthday they were fun and lively they didnt stop dancing. i really had an amazing night thankyou to papillon for making my birthday such fun. also at the end of the night they gave each of us a lovely italian cake .thanks again . would go here anytime xxxxxxxxxxxx

Un grupo de 6 mujeres fuimos anoche para celebrar nuestros amigos 50 th y no nos decepcionó. Pequeño restaurante encantador, la comida es estupenda, simpático y divertido personal. Una vez que haya acabado de comer tienen que cambiar algunas de las mesas y se puede bailar, incluso participar con usted. A un precio razonable, por dos platos que pagamos £40 y creo que teníamos unos 5 botellas de vino incluido en eso. En general, una noche fabulosa, sin duda volveremos.

this restaurant is the worst italian we have ever been too.we went there on the evening of saturday 19th december and we waited an hour before a waiter took our order.at that stage i called the manager to inform him how long we had been waiting and he just said its christmas so you have to wait.at that point we had had enough and got up and walked out.the staff and management clearly have not got a clue how to treat customers and i can honestly say dont go to this restaurant.sue7ian.

Mi pareja y yo vamos a este restaurante regularmente y nunca he tenido ningún problema aquí antes, pero desde mi experiencia última noche con mi amigo nunca volveré aquí de nuevo! El lugar estaba a tope, el nivel de ruido la división de oído, el servicio y la comida era terrible en la media. Se les olvidó uno de los entrantes ( había 10 de nosotros). Vinimos aquí un sábado que estaba ocupado . .. .. .. .. .. Reservamos una mesa para 9 O/reloj ... no estaba listo ! Cuando finalmente nos sentamos, nos costó 11/4 horas para conseguir un plato . .. .. .. .. Me refiero no van a Italia para las carnes mixtas y Tailandia para las gambas ? Por desgracia, esa fue la mejor parte de nuestra comida. Nuestros platos principales eran una vergüenza . .. .. .. .. 3 de las 8 nos envió . Mi elección personal Escalope de ternera que llamamos simplemente escalope ya que estoy seguro de la ternera debe haber escapado . .. .. .. .. Lo que fue quemada y parecía que había caído de la parte inferior de mi zapato y la pasta era frío. El horno doble deben estar trabajando duro en la cocina como los platos estaban estuve reprendiéndote calientes, pero la comida no era! Vino era pésima. No puedo hacer ningún comentario sobre los postres como mi taxi llegó en 11 30 así que,d fuera de plazo. El personal era bastante claramente incómodos y ofrecía bebidas gratuitas . .. .. .. .. Era demasiado tarde para que por desgracia. En realidad no estaba allí. Both my wifeand I live very near to this restaurant and are so pleased that this gem is so handy for a good meal with friends.The owner,Nino and his staff always make us very welcome and will cook whatever we fancy within reason.It does get very lively especially at weekends but that is all part of the fun.Stay late and the tables .are pushed back for some dancing. Great fun.

Restaurante local muy concurrido muy popular entre las familias y un relajado ambiente alegre música. Comida buena y servida caliente. Hígados de pollo era bueno y el salmón en un gambas, cangrejos y salsa de langosta también era bueno. No hay verduras o patatas están incluidos en el precio, así que tienes que pedir estas en la parte de arriba. Tiramisu para postre era un desastre (deberíamos haber envió realmente ya que estoy seguro de que hubiera felizmente aceptó). Era el menos como postre tiramisu que hemos tenido. Parecía que así que quizás esto fue de mal. La esponja dentro debería haber sido húmedas después de ser remojados en el café y mezcla licor pero estaba seca - parecía como si se les olvidó el café y licor en ésta. En general, un lugar muy agradable.

Vinimos aquí para un cumpleaños de un amigo por primera vez y nos sentamos en una mesa redonda. Me encanta cuando los restaurantes tienen mesas redondas como salimos en un grupo grande bastante a menudo y uno de los extremos de la mesa siempre parece ser la izquierda fuera de la conversación o hay alguien que quería hablar con en el otro extremo de la mesa.

Firstly I'm not sure why an Italian restaurant has a French name. The first and only time I've been to this restaurant, we waited almost two hours for our food, and when it came it was really nothing exceptional.

Probablemente es nuestro restaurante local más pero nunca nos habíamos dado cuenta pero nos alegramos mucho ya nos hemos encontrado, ya que la comida era genial.
