Papaya Thai Restaurant in Derby

We had fish and sweetcorn cakes to start, these were large and tasty. Pad Thai could have done with some lime and a bit more flavour, but the duck number 55 was sweet and tangy, delicious. The jungle cocktail was very fruity and exotic, would recommend. Service very attentive and they take cash and card.

Absolutely gorgeous food and great service. My husband has eaten jungle curry at several Thai restaurants over the years and he rated this as one of the best he's had! My red Thai curry was beautiful too. Highly recommend.

Food was very good, service was painfully slow, was offered a 10% discount for our next meal due to the slow service of the food on a Saturday night, however noticed that they still added a 10% service charge to the bill which unfortunately we had paid by the time we noticed. Should we have noticed the service charge we would have asked not to pay it as was not merited due to the frustratingly slow service. Having watched the takeaways coming out to be delivered, I wonder if we had ordered a takeaway we would have been served more quickly. On the basis of the quality of the food I would return, but due to the slow service I would not on a busy night i.e. Friday or Saturday.

We wished to dine at the last minute, we all fancied Thai food, we googled and came across this hidden gem! Authentic Thai with Thai owners and staff, very attentive and great fresh thai dishes, I want to wish you well and I wish for more people to visit this place, you will be very, very happy you did!! We popped in on a quiet Monday night and we are so glad we did. We ordered the set menu between the three of us. Full of flavour, generous portions and good value for money. We will return!

Yet again TA have got this totally wrong, this venue does not exist in Nottingham but if you look up Papaya Thai Restaurant you will see that it does exist in Derby.
