Papa's Crepes in Basildon

I’ve eaten here a few times and had both the savory and sweet crepes. With just my husband, with the kids, I’ve even had a take out. It is crêpes (and waffles) made fresh with a choice of fillings. The food is nice. It’s that naughty feel good dessert that hits the spot. It is clean, I like the location and the product but I struggle with the staff. Today, the server was not customer friendly. The last time I was bothered that a different person was touching their hair and phone without washing their hands and the lady before that was more interested in chatting to her friends while not giving us attention (so instead of buying drinks “to go” I bought drinks in Boots. It’s a nice place to take the kids for a treat. Just don’t expect a smile.

Went there twice and had bad experience both times. First time the lady was acting as I was disturbing her peace. Definitely not friendly, maybe she wasn’t in a good day... Second time was unpleasant as first, same person serving, but my husband was with me and he asked for a napkin, for our surprise she rolled her eyes. Definitely not coming back until they have trained staff.

I've eaten here a couple of times now and it's really good - great value, lovely environment to eat in (much nicer than being out in the food court) - lots of choice of pancake fillings. Would highly recommend.

The food here is extraordinary! The Crepes taste really good and the staff are really friendly! I will definitely be coming back soon!

Lovely tasty food with great options, very friendly chef who didn’t want us to pay until the day end - very trusting. Will definitely be back makes a change from the other food court offerings.

We went here for a light lunch my daughter had a strawberry cheese cake crepe and I had lemon and strawberry without sugar or icing sugar both very enjoyable but how I wish all these places would offer stevia as an alternative to sugar as for Diabetics it’s a far better option , I often have my own with me both this was an on the spot decision but they happily made mine fit me crepes were warm rather than hot
