Papa John's Pizza in Nottingham

This is the worst place I’ve been to, they’re fake advertising, they’ve put on the outside of the store buy one get one free in what world does one pizza cost £27 WITH ONLY 4 TOPPINGS, I don’t recommend this place to anyone who’s not willing to get scammed.

Ordered food, it hadn't arrived after an hour even though it was marked delivered on the app. I called the shop and they said it was 5 minutes away despite being marked as delivered for at least 10 minutes - I guess we'll see if it ever turns up

I took a punt with Papa Johns, Ilkeston road branch, I hadn’t ordered from them before. I ordered 20 XXL pizzas for my Hospital School Music Festival and the service was excellent from initial phone call to see if it was even possible to fulfil such a big order for early lunch, right through to delivery. The pizzas were superb quality, the staff were knowledgeable, respectful and so friendly, I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you so much guys- I appreciate all your help and support. I highly recommend:))

I don't think you tend to use the JustEat Tracker properly, as by the time my food had arrived, it still said "preparing your order". Given that it arrived 30 minutes before it was set to, this can and has lead to annoyances many times.

delivery time excellent but pizzas overdone

Ordered from this papi johns many times during my three years in Nottingham and have never had an issue ever. Food slaps every time, always comes hot, never takes longer than ~20 minutes. 11/10

Papa John's is such a delight. Their all meat pizza with extra crust gets me every time😋. Their delivery time is short and they are so prompt to deliver steaming hot pizza. I LOVE LOVE

Food was tasty but only warm over 1 hour late

Will avoid Papa Johns after this experience. 1. I was charged twice for my order. 2. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it came without pepperoni. 3. There was a long hair among the cheese on the pizza. It only misses out on a 1 because I got a full refund (for both charges for the same order).

The pizza we ordered was great but the garlic dips that came with it were disgusting and inedible. Change who ever makes your garlic dip!!!

Went there for a takeaway order after 12 am. Staff was great, suggested good options and were open for customisation as well (considering i am vegetarian). £12 something for a large pizza

Just a mediocre pizza at an expensive price. And the sizes of the pizza also do not reflect the price. Nothing about the pizza was worth the price at all. I won't recommend this takeaway to anyone and it's the first and last time I will buy from here.

Bacon was a bit under cooked but other than. That everything was perfect and I will order again.

Rang the restaurant for update on delivery and was told it was on its way Arrived 1 hour late and all the food was freezing cold and not edible

Reasonable quality food, good choice and quick acceptance. However, it took over an hour, which was 35-40 mins after the estimated delivery time. I imagine something went wrong and I didn’t get to hear about it! I even selected Papa John as it was the closest to me! Maybe it was a one off issue.

I order pizza from this store frequently, although they usually deliver cold pizza and some times mess my order. I called a few times and requested to send hot pizza. But today again they delivered wrong pizza and it was too cold to eat. When I called them they were not at all felling sorry and told me to order from some other store. Worst experience.

i ordered on just eat and the pizza never turned up, rang up asking where my pizza was and they said they gave it to someone, and told me they had rang my number multiple times, however the number they told me was not mine. disappointed.

Ordered on the just eat app, food was never delivered. Spoke to the delivery driver and he told me he gave it to some random guy coming out my apartment building. Didn’t even try calling the number I provided on the app. Terrible customer service, would not recommend this place.

The pizza was a dry & Garlic cheesy bread didn’t taste like Garlic Not Happy for the money we have spent £27 Isn’t worth it Can you compensate us please

Very disappointed i went to the alfreton road shop to order some pizza and sides. The lady never repeated the order and never bother to check. Went home with the order. Found out that the order is wrong. So i called the shop to ask if they can exchange the pizzas as it is NOT what i ordered so her answer was that i order already and paid and they can't do nothing ( totally unacceptable how they treat their customers like . I think it is unfair to pay £31 for food that i dont like. (I swear i didnt even eat it) They never even bother to offer a solution or any customer service what so ever. Unfortunately papa jones you will Not see me as a customer again.

I have ordered 2 pizzas. One arrived cold. Complain then , 1st they made fun like how it can b cold. 2nd they agreed that ok to collect pizza with 2 slice missing and to deliver replacement. When driver turns up with instructions then not to deliver pizza if slices are missing . He said in front of my neighbors that he can give me pizzas coz slices are missing. I was feeling shame , what my neighbors will think about me that I’m lying for a 10quid pizza. This is ridiculous. My call was attanded by owner not even normal staff member. After having discussions of 5minutes driver gave me pizza. Honestly this is called a lack of professionalism. Disappointed.

They called me up to say they didn't have my number and when the food finally came it was a different pizza to what I had ordered

I contacted the restaurant to tell them that I have still not received my order. On doing so a rude member of staff (name:Asta) explains that the driver has tried to deliver my order and knocked on my door several times. When I said there has definitely not been anyone at my door she went on to say they definitely have and have taken photographic evidence! 5 minutes later I received a call from the driver who was much more considerate and polite however revealed the lies of Asta. They did not have a picture of my door. I was told ‘you do not have a number on your door do you’ by which I explained ‘I do indeed have a large number on my door’. He then asked ‘do you have a white door’ by where I said no I have a brown door. This tells me they most definitely did not come anywhere near my property. I also knew this was definitely not the case and nobody had tried to deliver my order at all. I have CCTV evidence of nobody near my door! The driver did explain he would bring the food right away. However on the arrival at 22:58 the food was cold and unedited. This is not the first time we have had issues with this particular store. In fact the driver that delivered the food mentioned the Asta had told him the address was ‘blacklisted’. Let me go into more detail of why this is..... Months and months ago I placed a large order by where the order was missing the chicken that we had been charged for. On phoning we was told they were to busy to get this to us. My partner explained my toddler could not eat pizza due to allergies and so was left without a meal. At this point he was told well if he wants it he needs to go in. Rightly so he went in, gave the food back that was delivered and asked for a refund at which point we went to Pizza Hut. We have never ever ever had a problem with Pizza Hut. Or dominos for that matter. It took me months and months and months to order from them again after this issue which you will see from my account. I am absolutely disgusted by the service received and it is no way to run a business. I would like the full money for the order refunding. When ordering from friends or family’s address from other stores the food and service is always perfect! I will not be ordering from this store again

Ordering was really easy and I was updated on the delivery throughout. The pizza arrived still hot and was really tasty. Would definitely order again.

The best pizza out of the big 3. Best price too. Papa J is always reliable.

Pizza are very nice and so are the sides, tasted very fresh. Good value for money and they have some exceptional offers too. They could do with putting slight more toppings on pizza! They forgot to deliver the dips, a call to the store and problem was resolved immediately. Satisfied with the service.

First time ordering papa johns, Paid delivery £4 Call from the driver an hour later asking me to walk half a mile up the road as he missed a turn and had to drive all the way round, politely reminded him I was not willing to get fully dressed and walk to collect a pizza with I paid to be delivered to my door, I was hung over and ordered comfort food. driver gets angry says he is taking the delivery back to the store, I’m fine with this - ring the store to get a refund, Manager answers puts me on hold for 10 minutes then she also asks me to walk half a mile to collect my order, ask her for the refund, again on hold for 10 mins then tells me the driver will be there in 15 mins, I explain that I do not want the cold pizza anymore I would like a refund she tells me this is impossible as he is now coming to my door. I get charged for an order I never received and just cannot believe the customer service received. Takes me 2 week to get the refund through the head office.

Our order of double pepperoni is what is said "double". Unlike Arnold branch which was disappointingly more dough and sauce than filling. The staff also are friendly. We are definitely coming back here for pizza 🍕 next time though it's a bit far from where we live.

Ordered pizza at 5.39pm. Stone cold pizza arrived at 6.29pm. The store claims the pizza was delivered at 6.15pm (despite my call history proving otherwise) which is apparently within 30mins and therefore it couldn't possibly have been cold!? Apparently it's not possible for them to offer a replacement or refund be side they're busy

We haven't ordered from here in years because the last time wasn't nice tasting pizza, but this time we really liked the pizza, sides, service, everything. Such an easy online experience, great value with the offer, too expensive without the offer though. We'd definitely order from here again. They did forget the drink that was apart of the meal but the driver quickly went to get it and delivered it. He was very apologetic and seemed genuinely sorry, no tutting or attitude that I've recently experienced from other pizza takeouts. We ordered from Papa John's because a local pizza place put the phone down on me when I asked if they took card because I refuse to use Just Eat, which is who they use for online orders.

Ordered twice recently from Papa John's both experiences from ordering to delivery where great! Pizza delivered within the 45 minutes specified, nice & hot, delicious, bbq chicken wings I could eat all day long. Thanks guys at PJ's

Pizza when ordered for collection is often not ready on time. Car park is stringently monitored by camera, do not spend more than 20 minutes in there or you will get a £60 fine. Pizza is OK, but not as good as other franchises of this chain. Delivery is usually quick, but can sometimes take over an hour. Collect from West Bridgeford instead if you can.

I order from them weekly. They really do treat their customers like gold. I am glad they're in my area.

Ordered a pizza and after an hours wait, 15'minutes after its advised delivery time and my 5th phone call after the previous 4 went unanswered I'm told they've only just received the order and it'll be another 30 minutes. I cant wait for that half an hour to go by, it not to come and no one to answer the phone again. Appalling experience of Papa Johns so far. Very unhappy.

Been happily ordering papa johns for as long as I remember, until this place came along. Pizza is terrible, not up to the standard of other stores (West Bridgeford was my normal) , order came without the correct items. It's a bit annoying that my pizza is now much worse, the service much worse but unfortunately, price still the same because this place has now just opened up in the centre of town. Awful. Put me off papa johns for life. Anyone got the domino's number?

truly awful , papa johns in beeston was the flagship store and the reason why i ordered papa johns im now forced to orderfrom this god forsaken dump of a place, papa johns on alfreton road has to be the worst pizzeria ever, the order was wrong , the order was late , the staff were rude and not helpful , im going to drive to beeston next time and personally ask if they will deliver to me as this place on alfreton road is the worst and i cant even be bothered to email or comlpain - word of warning - these guys will get your order wrong , guaranteed

Absolutely awful, staff have no training and absolutely no care. They clearly have no quality control and I will never be ordering from here again. I ordered a 'all the meats' pizza a week ago that had only 1 slice of pepperoni and 6 sausage meatballs on it, it tasted like crap and no one would answer the phone for a complaint. After a week of back and forth emails I got a code for a free pizza as an apology, tonight I decided to give them a second chance and use this, I ordered some extra dips and sides... they turned up wrong. I wanted chicken poppers and got jalapeños and they sent the wrong garlic dips. After calling there was a brief discussion between staff that we could here, no ownership or apology, we were passed over to the delivery driver who just seemed confused and said he would bring us the chicken. Customer service was disgusting. Never, ever be ordering from here again.
