Never arrived and wont answer phone awful

2 pizzas delivered last night, both absolutely burnt to a crisp. Called the shop, first person to answer didn't understand English, then someone who did speak English gave me 2 wrong email addresses to complain to them. Won't ever use again. Update: no come back on the store and only offered a voucher for a deal as compensation. Never ever use this store.

The worst tasteless chewy (rubbery cheese) cold pizza ever. The chunks of tomato felt like they had come out of a freezer and been defrosted. Definitely avoid this store.

Ordered of here for a visit to our family. Warm and quick service from Dennis the driver. Food was great and off course papa johns fresh quality. The service of ordering and having it delivered is a breeze and the stuart app showing the driver was great also... Would recommended the tandoori chicken new pizza, atmosphere 3 because we didn't use it. Thanks

Food was fine. Placed the order at 11:30pm and when the food was classed as ‘delivered’ on the tracker a hour later… it was delivered not even at my house at the kebab shop opposite. Lucky I found out that it was there because they weren’t picking up the phone as the store was shut. Wouldn’t order from them again just sounds like unorganised chaos.

Ordered a pizza around closing time and this was not delivered to our house. I have had multiple calls with the staff at this branch and they are refusing us our almost £50 Refund back because their delivery driver clearly messed up! Told me I should have called immediately when it didn’t arrive, but we did multiple times, and they did not answer!!! Called next day and was rudely told they are too busy to deal with my problem at that time and said they’d call next day. Was never called back!! Called back next day and had absolutely disgusting service, they have told me to ask my neighbour if they took the food, but perhaps they should just make sure they deliver to the correct house! We have a ring doorbell and know when anyone enters our road.. disgusting manners and attitude can’t believe we are being refused money back for something never given.

Pizza arrived cold as if it had been sitting out for ages. The box was not in its usual hot pack. Called them back and was told a replacement would be sent which never came. I used to order from here all the time in the pandemic, it’s completely gone to the dogs!

Absolutely disgusting 🫣 Pizza's cold , spent £35 on a deal, wish I never got that deal, was my grandchilds birthday....never again!

We ordered food at 10:24, and although open till 11, it is now midnight and we haven’t received our order. Do not order from here, seems to be a reoccurring issue. Will be getting my money back tomorrow.

They take their sweet time, just go dominoes

Both of the pizza had hardly any toppings on them but the Garden Party pizza was mainly just base with a few bits of vegetables placed on it. Very disappointing.

Ordered at 9:15 pm. It is now 11 pm. If they turn up in next century, I will let you know. It is now 11:15 pm. I think I am having heart attack. Probably shouldn’t eating a pizza at this time of night anybody passing my house can you knock and see if I’m still alive?

Order never came. Called Papa John's (west wickham), no explanations for none delivery, no offer to resend and no apology . Just advised to get refund from Just eat, which I'm still waiting on. Poor service, if I could give no stars I would

It was fine, average pizza 🍕 but what do you expect for £10 for a large pizza deal. I like the fact they keep you up to date at each stage of the process. For the price (special deal) it’s fine.

Ordered two Pizza one without cheese as they are allergic to cheese. Pizza was delivered. Both had cheese. I rang Papa Johns and said I ordered one with cheese oh ok send another one. The rest of the food was stone cold. I had a deal for 30 pound plus delivery It's not worth the money. I'm going to use a different Pizza place from now on.

Other than the overpriced mediocre pizza, I don’t know at PJs thinks that after ordering once from them, I should receive text messages when I’m busy at work. Then we I try to opt out “there’s been an error”. Yes , me giving you my data. That’s the error.

Extremely rude manager! Incompetent delivery driver. After placing my order (Thursday at 6.20pm) 1 hour and 10 minutes prior to be contacted by my driver who told me he was at my door and I was not answering, only to hear the door being answered on the other end of the phone and him being told he was at the wrong address, I called the store to inform them of this and to see when my pizza had been dispatched, to see how long he was actually taking. They were very difficult in answering this question and only answered vaguely after I had asked them no less than 5 times and because I kept asking, I was told in a rude amd aggressive way that it was not their problem and the phone was put down on me. This however, happens to be the second time within 2 weeks this has happened! The only reason for this 2nd order is because they told me after the first time I could place an order for free to compensate for the first instance when my pizza was delivered stone cold after 2 hours of placing my order (order placed on a Friday at 5.30pm). I will certainly NOT be ordering from this branch again. My advice, unless you are collecting and do not have to rely on the third party delivery service, which the store take absolutely no accountability for, even though it's their food and they are who are taking your money, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Very nice food,I didn't had that much tasy pizza from long time,used to order from here in the past and not been satisfied with the quality. Maybe management changed,even my daughter says, that's a different taste! Good job guys 👍👍👍

Awful customer service, took several times calling to get through to them, wrong pizza delivered, told it was my error, would not give a refund or new pizza baring in mind I’m vegetarian and they sent me a meat pizza, Reeda had awful customer service, was very rude and unhelpful on the phone. Asked to speak to a manager but apparently there isn’t one.

Terrible. Ordered at 10pm, an hour before closing. They cancelled the order saying they were closed. Shame on them.

Worst experience. Ordered at 17:59. The app said pizza was delivered, but when I called (picked up the phone eventually- I must have called at least 20 times), no driver was allocated. I decided to collect the pizza myself but they wouldn't refund the delivery fee. When I eventually collected the pizza and took it home, it was cold and not edible. Please do not order, especially online. Not sure if the service is any better for collection.

Got 2 for Tuesday for £23 great tasting pizza even though had to wait some time as the man was there on his own

Ordered a pizza - It never arrived. Who knows what happened to it. The branch don't answer the phone, as they probably get so many complaints. Had previous issues with extremely long delivery times. Learnt my lesson now though. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Just one guy working inside with slippers on,didn't wear any gloves while making our pizzas and very slow service.

Absolutely disgusted with appealing customer service and wrong pizza. The bacon cheese sticks have about 4 bits of bacon on the whole thing and the cheesy bacon tots look just as bad. Really not impressed. The order didn't turn up until 45 minutes after it was supposed to and when I contacted the store the person was very rude. I do NOT recommend.

We hadn't used this place in a while, but as all the other pizza places have stopped doing any half decent offers, I thought we would try them again. Biggest mistake of the year. Wish I had checked the reviews first. Took nearly an hour to arrive. The driver had the road name but not the door number on his order form. ??? Luckily the cheese on toast was still luke warm. Both pizza boxes had broken seals. I'm guessing because someone had stolen all the toppings as there weren't any on our £30 worth of heavily greased, over-cooked cheese on toast. I shared an XL half and half 'The Works' with my daughters 'margarita' but it was almost impossible to tell which was which! Absolutely appalling. Never ever going to use this terrible place again and strongly advise anyone who doesn't want to pay £30 for greasy, overcooked cheese on toast to avoid this place like crazy.

Ordered from them 40 minutes later I received an email cancelling my order telling me to call the restaurant, called the restaurant five times and they were answering the phone and hanging up. Finally answered the phone and told me that they are running out of stock. It took them 40 minutes to tell me that. Shocking customer service. Would not recommend. Sort it out!

Wow… I have used Papa Johns for a while and I prefer it to domino’s but having to wait 2hrs for my cold pizza is unacceptable. This wasn’t the first time either, but I let the last time go as it was 1.5hrs. I complained to head office and I got a £5 off voucher for the inconvenience of my pizza being delivered late and cold for £30. I will never use this store again. Absolutely shocking!!

Honestly, believe all of the poor reviews posted on here about the ridiculously late deliveries and the store not answering the phone! I placed my order at 20:13 (bearing in mind we had 3 hungry kids) and 1,5 hours later, at 21:51 there’s still no sign of it (the tracker still shows my order as being prepared!!! ) and despite calling the store non-stop, nobody bothers to answer the phone! I am making my way down to the store right now, as conscious I they close in 8 minutes. This is beyond a joke and genuinely beggars belief how they are still trading. Trust me, do not bother with this absolute joke of a store !! Heed the warnings. Don’t waste your time . Absolutely shocking service !

AWFUL FOOD - AWFUL SERVICE - I rung to complain about my food I got , then got told it would be resent then 2 hours later no food , finally get through after 10 calls and hear manager shouting at staff saying don’t answer the phone , I told you not to . Then manger says all we keep getting is complaints , then puts phone down on me and I then can’t get back through . Read the reviews of this place as it’s shocking and awful .

Gone right down hill pizzas cold and tasteless Not sure how a cheese and tomato can suck so much. Threw them in the bin. Won’t be ordering again. Be warned little one even dropped it on the floor And did not stain shows how fresh they are.

Second time waiting over an hour for a pizza and after 6 attempts to get through finally answered with ‘we only have 2 drivers and we’re busy’. Very little care shown about our wait, customer care bottom of the list and a customer lost.

Too slow! Ordered and waited nearly an hour before calling the store to ask about my pizza. She said it would be another 25 to 30 minutes. This has happened several times now. Don't order from this store unless you have a couple hours to wait. Update- took exactly 2 hours from the time I ordered to when it got to my door. The food was barely warm and the driver was apologetic about the delay.

Ordered 3 pizzas,had a half price deal so came to £25 instead of £50,but pizzas all came with that 50% of toppings taken off! Terrible hardly any toppings at all,very dissatisfied.

Ordered, after 1 hour the app said they still hadn't started cooking. Called shop, said 45 mins to be delivered. Another hour later, still nothing. Called again, phone hung up rudely 3 times on us. I drove to the shop, they knew about the order but hadn't prepared it, so I told them to stick it! No pizza, no phone contact, no apology. What a joke. 3 hours of my life wasted, kids starving. £50 out of pocket.

While the pizza was very tasty, there was not enough staff to fulfill the orders coming in.

I absolutely love Papa Johns!! It’s the only pizza that I can eat and actually enjoy !! I have been ordering from the west wickham branch for the last 4 years and the food is always amazing, tastes fresh and the dough on the pizza is super soft! I love my classics, XXL bbq base chicken & sweetcorn pizza and I always get an XXL margarita too ☺️ The garlic butter goes down a treat with the crust aswell. The staff are always super nice & friendly especially Syeda! Thanks guys!!!!

After three hours without delivering my pizzas, they closed. I called after one hour and they said it would be 45 more minutes. I called again 15 minutes before they were due to shut but nobody was answering - they had given up and gone home early.

After 45 over the delivery time, called the shop but no answer. I visited the shop, and the manager explained that there was an issue with there system, and that's why the pizza had not been delivered. Their phone in the background was constantly ringing, so I asked why don't you answer it, and explain to your customers the reason for the delay. He said he was too busy. He promised me a full refund, which I did not receive. Took another 20 mins to cook my pizza. Will not be ordering from them any time soon...

Charging and taking orders while closed

Wow what a disgusting experience from the West Wickham branch - 1 hour later and no food then I had to call them to be told it’s going to be another 45 minutes due to a shortage of drivers. Then told it’s going to be 5 days till I get my money back, if you know you have a shortage then you should be informing people when they order, not making them wait an hour until they call you.

1.5 hours waiting, told twice that it would be 20mins, and said it was ready but there was no drivers. Cancelled order, don't waste your time, they lie about how long and don't let you know if they have drivers or not.

Ordered food, came without drink. Instead of calling to ask for a replacement I received nothing. Called to Complain and was promised my whole order free next time but when just called to redeem what was promised they said I cannot have it. So not only have I been done out of pocket for the bottle of drink I’ve also been lied to

My order was over an hour late when they finally answered the phone they told me the food is ready but wont be delevered until another 35-40min coz they are short on drivers and it would be quicker for me to come and collect it myself. The pizza was cold and over cooked dry and tasteless. Will never order from papa John's again. Definitely recommend the new pizza shop fireaway on wickham High Street

Not even 1 star as there is no option for 0 or minus stars. Rude staff Zein and Manager Mohammed who don't even care about store. Feel sorry for such big frenchise and act like worst than small pizza shop. Never order again.

Order didn't show up for 3 hours and nobody would answer the phone.

Today was a last time I ordered anything from Papa John's in West Wickham. Waited 1.5 hour for delivery. I give them a call I have been told he is just about to make it. I asked him to cancel order and give me my money back and he passed the phone to someone else. And he told me order is ready next to him and will be with me in 15 min. Again after 30 min no order and no one packing up the phone. Save yourself stress and order somewhere else where they value customers.

3 hours to deliver a pizza last Friday. No one bothered to answer the phone to explain. When it turned up the man just shrugged his shoulders. I turned it away.

Extremely unhygienic place. The website said it was ready to collect and had to wait 10 minutes more. They didn’t pick up the phone at all. I could. The man attending the till touched the dough, then the tomato source with his bare hands and then he touched and attended the costumers. You could see pizzas all over the place, people touching food after coming from the street without washing. The man at the till again was covered in flour. Absolutely disgusting. Of course I cancelled my order. Before me also another man cancelling his order. Defenetly not recommend it under any circumstances. Label at the door of “food quality level 5” absolutely fake! I hope they redound me the money in 3 days. Please for your health DO NOT buy here!

2 hours for a pizza delivery and no one answering the phones! If you can't fulfil orders in a reasonable timeframe, stop taking them or better yet hire more staff!

Poor, claimed they couldn’t provide me with a VAT receipt upon ordering that I needed for company records, which goes against consumer law.

The attitude and flippancy of the young girl who delivered our food was awful!! We have always used this store but due to her awful attitude we will not return. Shame on you. I had the manager on the phone the same time as this young girl was being so rude.

My experience with this Papa John's has been a fair one as they've been on the ball with my kids various allergies.

Very disappointing - garlics bread side, pizza toppings & crust were cold & dry - not edible. Felt robbed of £21 - was it an used, old order? Everyone went hungry & food was binned. A refund would be great. The star is for the delivery lady who was awesome.

Been using this Papa John's regularly for a while now with no trouble at all. I was delivered the wrong pizza by mistake today but the lady on the phone was so helpful and kind. The pizza I ordered was at my door hot within 15 minutes of hanging up the phone!! Would definitely recommend in terms of customer service!! ☺️

Right before I start I must let you know im only giving them a 2 due to the lack of taste the new milkshakes they got there now.. its a new thing from America called F'REAL Milkshakes an they supposed to be the best milkshakes but in all honesty strawberry nesquick tastes better lol. I havent eaten pizza from this establishment so I cant comment on the food but yh thats all i have to say. Sorry papa John's this isn't your food its the new product

Order placed and delivered, I called after about 40 minutes to chase up as tracker said it had been delivered already, I was told it was on the way. Order arrived 10 mins later, temp cold. One of items ordered was incorrect brownie instead of cookies. I phoned to explain there had been a mistake but "Lina" the apparent manager said it wasn't a mistake and that they had run out of cookies. I explained that I did not like the brownies and I wanted a refund, she said because they had tried to contact me on some random mobile number that I do not recognise but hadn't been able to get through that they will not refund me, she was really quite rude and abrupt. I WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN RUDE STAFF, RUDE MANAGER. USE DOMINOS

Really great service. Very accommodating and helpful. Even during these current circumstances they were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

Nice people gently good service

Late cold disgusting pizza. There was literally no toppings on my pizza. I ended up throwing it away. I informed head office about the West Wickham branch and their pathetic response was that because I did not attend the store with my three year old autistic child to return the pizza to the store, no 'investigation' can be conducted. If their head office sucks this much, there is no hope for their stores. AVOID BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Their pizzas are good... But their customer service... Even better...!!!

Cold food and over an hour wait. Pizza was cold Chicken poppers soggy and cold Potato wedges undercooked and cold Ice cream melted Wouldn’t order again

Disappointed this time compared to previous occasion. Ingredients did not taste as fresh as before and base tasted artificial. On previous occasion food was excellent and I only ordered from here because a competitor close by ran out of ingredients for their pizzas, so I had try somewhere else. Third time lucky next time maybe?

Pizza took 45 minutes to be delivered yet was somehow cold by the time it arrived. Not even one piece of pineapple per slice on the Hawaiian pizza which turned out to be a blessing as the pineapple that was there was over-sweetened. Jalapeño poppers were nice though. Save yourself disappointment and stick to Domino’s.

They are the slowest at delivering in West Wickham.

Consistently good pizza always nice and crisp base and perfectly golden cheese on top. Papa's favourite is also mine ;)
