Used to be great pizza, the last one I had was disgusting. Wet and soggy and almost no cheese or peppers. No wonder it's closed down.

Great place to get your pizza fix, I would recommend purchasing on the papa John's app as you get access to better and more offers.

GOOD NEWS TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE CLOSING!!! If i could give 0 I would. Ordered a vegan pizza a few days ago and they said they don't have vegan cheese in stock. So asked for a refund, this was refused and we were told to wait 5mins. After hearing nothing and being ignored by the staff when we called - I walked down to the shop to find the Asian "boss" running back into the back of the kitchens rear entrance with a bag of cheese, and the idiot preparing pizzas was ignoring the phone so.. They still had the cheek to try and refuse the refund even though the pizza was shocking and basically prepared with another companies ingredients. Absolute piss take. This place is a cowboy outfit, best alternatives in Coulsdon: wood oven, Domino's... Hell - basically anyone other than papa John's! They treat the customer's like idiots. WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY! 😠🤬

Delayed delivery despite me ordering for a specific time. Kept giving excuses when I called, I'm sure the delivery only went out when I called

Very quick. Always good offers. Really friendly staff. Plus Papa Points rewards. Hot buffalo sauce excellent. But makes me hiccup.

The service has been up and down over the years but fairly tolerable, as issues were always resolved. Recently the service has reached an all time low. Staff giving conflicting responses then refusing to provide their name for reference, stating its against company policy to do so. Refusing to answer the phone then hanging up on customers! No decisions get made with continuous excuses such as "I'm not a manager & he's not here, I'm only on minimum wage" etc really not something a customer wants to hear.

Went there to collect a pizza and while I was waiting I could see the women spreading the tomato base with their bare fingers,absolutely disgusting will never go there again

Placed an order which failed to arrive after an hour and a half, tried to contact the store at least 10 times but no one is answering the phone. The tracking app is stuck at checking and cutting. How long does it take to cut a pizza? Will be paying them a visit to get my money back as I work local to the store. Now got to arrange dinner for the kids from elsewhere at 9pm in the evening. Avoid if you can

Went in to the shop at 22:30 and asked the guy behind the counter if they were still open and he told me that they are not then checked online and it said that they close at 23:00

Both times we have ordered, the delivery time has been over an hour. customer service here is terrible and would not suggest ordering from this papa johns ever. I certainly won’t be ordering from this one again

Ahem! Only so many times in one's life will one go through all the stages of grief in one evening. :D I love Papa John's pizza, esp the cheese and quality of ingredients they put. Also their veggie options are great. However, this store is just the worst! I am completely in awe of how they are in operation at all! I remember ordering from then and then crying with hunger hoping it will come, and then calling them angry. The person took forever to locate my gold plated pizza, and when it was found, it was apparently right outside my house (it wasn't). Then BARGAINING with them if they can still bring it anytime quicker, while the answer was yes, there was no pizza in my tummy. I felt sad and, well, depressed! And then the lovely acceptance, I called Dominoes and have never ordered at this store since. (AND NEVER WILL). Sorry papa johns, this one store lost you a lifetime customer.

Ordered 2 standard pizzas two sides and a drink at 7.15. Now 9.10 still not here. Phone just rings out. How hard can it be?

AVOID. Delivery frequently 2+ hours. Completely incorrect order, ignoring dietary requirements. Called in, was met with rudeness and denial. No offer to re-deliver. Kevin and Muhammad extremely unhelpful.

Didn't think to check the reviews of mainstream fast food place! Will do from now on.. Paid delivery took well over an hour, food was cold, noone answers the phone and the online tracker doesn't work. Go elsewhere!!

The food here is ok. Literally that. It was overall disappointing especially when Papa Johns are more expensive than most pizza takeaways, it's not worth the price.

Don’t waste your time or money as slowest service ever. Thought delivery was bad as takes a good hour and a half to get your food list times. No apology or money off for their shoddy service like other competitors. Surprised Coulson branch get any return business.

Absolutely rubbish and wouldn’t waste your time. First time took and hour and 20 minutes to arrive and this time an hour and a half later get a call from the driver who can’t find my house (and didn’t try as didn’t even get out of his car to follow my instructions). Stick to Dominos and you can save yourself £33 and end up with no dinner for your kids by 8.05!! Oh yes, also when a delivery driver asks you what number houses are either side of your number?!! you may as well give up🙈🙄

Last 3 times ordered it takes over 1.5 hours for delivery. Every time you ring there’s no apology or acknowledgment. Never again - use Dominoes in future 20 min from order to door!

Ordered Pizza for collection at around 7.50pm. I was informed it would be ready in 20 minutes. Got to the store at 8.10pm and was told it will be five minutes. I asked how long must I wait for my pizza and I was told it was in the oven and soon it will be ready.It was at 8.20Pm. While waiting I saw the staff were very playful and not taking their work seriously. My pizza was being prepared by the chef around 8.20pm Foul languagge being used amongst themselves .Very unprofessional. When We placed the order we specifically asked for thin crust, but when we got home it turned out to be thick crust.Asked for pepperoni and the pizza had very little pepperoni on the Pizza. At 8.30pm I asked again how long will it take and I was told it issuing boxed up and I should pay. I paid for the pizza by my card. I waited a further 10 minutes before given my order. The place is a joke and very unprofessional . Garlic bread was hard and the topping on the Pizza were very limited. Worst service ever received. Were told lies after lies. When we placed the order we were told to pay by cash as their credit card machine was not working. when it came to making payment I was offered to pay either by cash or credit card. Another wasted journey to the cash point. Do not purchase any pizza from this branch unless you want disappointments. Noticed the pizzas are not as good as they used to be lately. Plus after ordering a pizza and giving over a hour notice I arrived 10 mins late and they had not even started the pizza. I will be using another provider

The pizza bread was hard, the garlic source was Garlic butter. Not impressed at all, The taste just was a let down big time . I didn’t expect this for papa johns.

Ordered online when it hadn't come after an hour I called & was told it was on its way...40 minutes later called again & was told with NO APOLOGY the order hadn't gone through so asked to order again but was told it would cost twice as much as they would not do/honour the online deal as I was now ordering over the phone. Very rude staff. Will never order from them again

I ordered today for cheat day for first time for a while! It’s taste bit off and later night, I vomited 8 times and bad tummy!! Had asked my partner if pizza taste but off to you. He agreeed! He got bad tummy! It gone downhill now I remember few years ago where I used work there. What happened??? Please do not ordered from them unless you want to be sick!

Do not order from this papa johns. My came after an hour and 45 minutes, cold and the pizza box looked like something spilled on it. I asked for a bbq chicken pizza and the order had no bbq sauce on it. Avoid ordering from this papa johns.

Delivered the wrong pizza then refused to do anything about it. Insisted there is no difference between sausage and pepperoni. Absolute joke. They said I should call the manager NEXT Monday if I’m not happy with my order (it’s Tuesday today). Then proceeded to say he couldn’t tell me what the manager is called. They would neither replace nor refund my order. Don’t order from here. They have no idea what they’re doing. Utterly unhelpful and incompetent. I’ll stick with Pizza Hut and Domino’s.

The delivery process was awful. The delivery of the food took 1 hour and 45 minutes from the point of order, which is far too long - I was expecting no more than 30 mins. Of course, the food was only like warm when it arrived. Very unlikely to use Papa Johns again. I have since received a £5 voucher off my next order, which I consider pitiful since I am unlikely to use Papa Johns again. I expect at least a full refund. Will be looking at curry or Chinese in future.

Ordered a deal via this chain. Waited an hour, nothing. I tried to call several times and no answer. 2 hours and 30 minutes later and still nothing. Got to closing time and the order tracking just sat on preparing your order still. Can't contact the branch and there's no dedicated support line. Terrible terrible customer service and will be pursuing via bank.

Used to love this place but the last however many orders and customer service has been terrible. Been waiting over a month and a half for a refund for a pizza that had cow cheese on it instead of vegan cheese and I am never called back like they say I will be.

Order took 2 hours to arrive as was Halloween so understandable. Staff were helpfull. Delivery guy was apologetic. Staff sorted us out tho with some extra freebies which was appreciated. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. On 8th Oct we ordered pizzas for home delivery around 7:30pm. No update on tracking till 8:45pm. Called the store and was told the order was still in store so come and collect or wait as it will take time to deliver with no estimated time to deliver. The lady on phone mentioned she need to check something with her manager and put the call on hold. She never returned. Had to disconnect phone after 15 mins, called multiple times but no one answered. No delivery but the status changed to delivered suddenly at 10:00pm i.e. the stores closing time. Called the next day asking for a refund and was told it had already been initiated. Nothing yet (30th Oct) . Raised query with customer service and got a response asking for evidence as they would investigate. Its been a week still no refund. Have initiated PayPal claim now. I am surprised to see so many similar reviews online for this store and still this store is running after cheating so many people. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE.

The low rating is largely to get a response... Pizza tasted great (not greasy,hot etc)... for the people who could eat it. This is third time ordering from here and we have tried to customise order each time for allergies and preferences... Each time we have received the standard toppings on pizza - no customisation. Could be massively dangerous to people with allergies luckily for me mine was just picking of a topping we don't like but they need improve act and to pay attention to orders.

Ordered 1x Margarita pizza for my kids at 18:00hrs. It’s now 20:30 and no pizza. Apparently they don’t have drivers. I have had to call my husband who was not in Croydon to drive and collect the pizza. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BRANCH!! Absolutely ridiculous. I seriously need my money back! This is the second time it has happened. It doesn’t even deserve a star !

The worst customer experience I have ever received from a delivery driver. Delivery late and verbal abuse from the delivery woman.Culminating with the driver, throwing 4 large pizzas at us in the street.

DON'T ORDER FROM HERE. Terrible experience with this branch. Pizza arrived 2.5 hours after ordering. Called the branch multiple times, call was only answered once, staff member said order was on its way, but still took another 50 mins to arrive, so the staff member lied to us. Food arrived cold, and no apology for being late. Judging from the other reviews, this seems to be the norm.

1 and half hours later... no pizza, nothing.... n answer from phones. bank indemnity claim in using pizza hut instead for weekly pizzas. the email address given below to contact papa johns is a work of pure fiction. now you have wasted my time writing a complaint email. I have 36k followers in the UK on my site. everyone of them just got my opinion on your company and some have had a similar experience. I hope this experience costs you dearly.

Pizza shows delivered with no sign to be found. Trying to call them for last 30mins with no one picking up!! Wish I had read the reviews.. Its now almost 50mins since I have been trying to call!! We did receive the pizza eventually after 2.5hrs, not surprisingly in meantime we had received our alternate order from another place. When asked the driver what happened, he just casually said we are busy rather than explaining why the pizza showed delivered. Further the pizza was absolutely cold and the chicken wings that we had ordered were tiny and also was half burnt with hardly any meat on it.

Oh....I would love to give this particular take away a zero. For the third order in a row I have been let down. Tonight after ordering at 8.40pm, the order was cancelled (by phone - apparently the tracker still thinks I am getting my delivery) because, what do I believe - 'their delivery driver is too busy', 'they always close at 9pm and we ordered too late', 'too many people have ordered and it will take 1 1/2 hrs to cook ours' or 'the ovens are broken'. Wow....I think you just cant be bothered. Dont tell me 4 different reasons. 5 days to get a refund! My previous order did take 2 1/2 hours to arrive and was cold. I suggest ordering from a different chain (Fireaway or Wood and Stone are very good). We learn....hopefully Papa Johns will too.

The worst customer experience! We ordered a couple of pizzas 4 weeks ago, we waited 2 hours and made multiple calls. Each time there was an excuse, including telling us the driver was in our road about to deliver. When pizza didn't arrive we called again and were told they were closing and would not be delivering our order. Obviously not ideal but expected the refund within 5 days. No refund. Visited the restaraunt and asked for the manager, he said he would process the refund and update us via email. Nothing happened. Went back to the store and asked for Area Manager contact details. Called the Area Manager and his response was that he is not a servant!!! Cannot believe how rude and dismissive they are, they demonstrate a total disdain for their customers. It is £30 so not a fortune but now a matter of principle and will be progressing through small claims court

Ordered from here over a week ago now, an hour later, no pizza's had arrived despite the tracker showing delivered. Tried to call the store 3 times with no answer, before finally getting through to someone, who told me that the pizza's hadn't even been made yet. Asked for my order to be cancelled and for a refund to be issued. They said this would be honoured, but their manager needs to issue the refund, which will be done at close of day. However, the refund still has not been processed more than a week on, I have contacted the restaurant multiple times throughout the week to speak to a manager, to either be told they are not there at the moment, or passed to different members of the team who have been completely unhelpful. Who knew ordering pizza would be so stressful, AVOID!

Oh dear! What’s happened recently?! This went from the best pizza place around to the worst! Pizzas are smaller, much much less toppings - couldn’t even tell what it was supposed to be! Also very bad Covid precautions- not happy and will have to find an alternative pizza place now! Shame

Ordered here last Friday. 1hr 15mins after I ordered, still no pizza but the tracker showed delivered after about 40 mins. Tried phoning the restaurant 5 times and no-one answered. So after another 30 minutes, I went out to get dinner elsewhere. 2hrs 17mins after I originally ordered I get a phone call to say the delivery driver is outside. Didn't get my order and would like my money back if only the branch would pick up the phone...

Shame I couldn't give zero stars. Ordered last Saturday - 40 minutes later tracker says out for delivery! Great! Tracker says delivered! Err no it hasn't been! Phoned the store who told me the pizza guy had fallen off his bike and our pizza was in the road. New one would be with us in 10 minutes. OK. Phoned half hour later - is out for delivery will be with you shortly. Phoned again later - someone picked up and immediately hung up on me. Phoned off a different phone to get an answer - pizza still out for delivery 2 hours later. Cancelled order. I was still charged and did not receive anything. Phoned Monday and was told manager would give me a call back 5 minutes later. Here we are 5 days on no refund, no pizza & no call back. Shocking.

Not impressed! I ordered my pizzas for a family celebration and awaited via the tracker. I was informed that my pizzas had arrived and to enjoy. Enjoy what? Pizzas were not with me. I called the restaurant in Coulsdon and was told 5 minutes and they would arrive. 15 minutes later and still no pizzas! They finally arrived 20mins after my phone call - stone cold! If you want good service and a warm meal - order from somewhere else! Just not good enough for a recognised brand we used to love. I will NEVER be eating from Papa Johns AGAIN. Thank you.

So disappointed, they used to be efficient. Had both delivery, which arrived 20 mins after web said it had been delivered, was cold, ice cream melted. Driver indifferent. Went to order in person, paid, came back at collection time, was informed it hadn't been started yet not happy. There are loads of pizza places in the local area. Will be using a competitor next week.

2 hours+ to delivery poor quality stone cold pizza. What is the point? Turns out the "tracker" is just an estimate and the drivers lie about being "around the corner" when actually 25 mins from arriving. "Sorry" not acceptable. Where is the 30 mins or money back deal?

We placed an order for over £30 worth of food, our order was marked as 'Out for delivery' and then 'Delivered, hope you're enjoying your food' after 40 minutes, however, it actually took two and a half hours to come (we're less than a mile away) and arrived cold. Papa John's customer service haven't been that impressive either unfortunately. We have taken our custom elsewhere.

Waited over an hour for order to arrive. Driver shows up with no pizza, just 2 cold sides. Driver apologised then left. Called restaurant they said nothing they can do and to contact Deliveroo. Called back and they don’t answer the phone. Appalling service. Shut this place down.

Shocking customer service. We have been waiting for our pizza for over 90 mins and I live less thank 5 mins away. The online tracker says that they have delivered 20 mins ago but when I called the store, they were not able to confirm if the order has left the store. Unfortunately this is the second time this has happened. Last time after waiting 2 hours, I had to collect my order. I would suggest ordering from another branch and avoid the Coulson branch.

Ordered for delivery, took a very long time to come once the online tracker had said it was out for delivery. I'm 2 miles away and it took 30 minutes just on the delivery segment. When the food arrived it was luke warm at best. Pizza tasted good but the toppings were sparse and the cheese not exactly abundant. Shame, I used to prefer papa johns but I would not order from here again in a hurry. Additional comment - the manager contacted me and gave me the details of customer service who were abysmal and have now ghosted me for the last 2 weeks. So have dropped this to a 1 from a 2. Would highly recommend not using this store or company.

2 hours for a pizza to arrive when i live 5mins away from them. Pizza arrive cold. Manager said they will refund. Refund was never received even after almost 1month. Im going back and forth with department offering me vouchers. I dnt wanna buy from there again, send me my refund for the cold pizza you delivered 2hours late. No help from staff, poor and bad customer service.

I was a regular here until one occasion I found a long brown hair in the pizza. On 2 further occasions the person making the pizza had no gloves on and was handling both the pizza and the card payment machine, picking up boxes and dealing with customers. That's not on, you don't do that, at least wear gloves and separate the service of customers and the person making the pizza!

Ordered 2 vegan pizzas from these guys. Wasn't expecting much to be honest but OMFG it was lovely!!!! And delivered v.fast and it was v.hot. The vegan cheese was great and everything looked as though it had been prepared carefully. Well done :)

Tend to eat here quite a lot(not healthy I know) and the pizza is consistently good, its not the best but I know I'm going to get something that I enjoy, I love their sauce. They are in the middle tier of being pretty good but not too expensive. The delivery is ridiculously quick as well, like under 10 minutes quick, i wouldnt be surprised if some military team springs into action the second they an order, 10 minutes delivery is pretty unheard of.

Pizza was too cold to eat and forget my dips

I spent £12 on a large pizza and it was just like a frozen pizza from Iceland. It looked and tasted horrible
