Its very good place to try pizza. Mainly they maintain good hygiene and quality pizza. In one word it is best .

The seal was broken on my pepperoni n chicken with extra pep. But nowhere near extra pep!!

Not impressed at all. All excited to dig into our pizzas and upon opening them up we find one of them has been squashed to the bottom of the box and the others topping have sild to the other side of the pizza. Wanted to go back and complain but if we did that our sides would be cold by the time we got back. Not impress and would like a refund or a partial refund because this presentation is unacceptable.

They deliver quickly, and their pizzas are nice!

I completed a survey to get a free garlic bread code and when collecting it the man said don’t come back again because they don’t do these offers because they’re a franchise. If you operate as a franchise, surely you have to take part in papa johns offers?

This is a bad Papa Johns. Others are better. Sparse / missing toppings. I ordered for collection as in the past, orders have been delayed, or sitting on a bike for an hour and are cold. Need not have bothered - it had been out for at least 20 minutes when I arrived.

Good pizzas, deals a bit confusing and shame they don’t match up with GF options

Placed a order here tonight, noticed the pizza didn’t look that well cooked, also noticed it was lacking ingredients, you can tell they have also Changed the base, defo not fresh, when eating the second slice the pizza was raw, tasted disgusting, used papa johns for years , defo gone downhill, not GOOD INGREDIENTS, more Like cheap and rank

There was no garlic n herb dip and for a double pepperoni pizza with EXTRA pepperoni which I paid for… it didn’t one bit have loads of pepperoni on it

All the negative reviews seem to be delivery issues from 7 - 11 months ago... They must have fixed that... Great pizzas, well cooked. Typically when pizza places offer discount, they also discount the quantities of toppings but my pizzas seemed fully loaded. Base was well cooked... Good texture, good flavour, good quality, good quantity. And to top it off, not 1 disgusting garlic butter in sight... Happily surprised, and stuffed 👍🍕

Stopped using Papa Johns after this store took 4 hours 15 minutes to deliver my order and they got the pizza wrong

Absolutely abysmal service last night! Phoned up to order exactly the same thing as we ordered on Tuesday a week ago, and many other Tuesdays before- their "Take 2 Tuesday" deal which is buy 1 get 1 free. First we were told that the offer only covers medium pizzas, even though we've been having large ones, then we were quoted £30, then £40, even though online price is £19.99. Spoke to 3 different members of staff (the driver was ironically the most knowledgeable and apologised for the new staff members' incompetence). However I still couldn't get the same deal 241 pizzas despite spending so much time on the phone with them. Eventually someone directed me to order from them online via their website, so I did and happily paid £19.99 for my order, except that then it turned out they are unable to deliver and its collection only. And that was after the payment left my account. We were unable to collect due to having to isolate after being pinged, so collection wasn't an option . I phoned back yet again, and apparently the most they could do is cancel my order and refund me the money (which I've still not received) rather than deliver, so I gave up and ordered Dominos instead. However I would like some clarification on what happened last night. I took my time to go through terms and conditions of "Take two Tuesday" deal and it doesn't say anywhere that the deal is only for medium pizza, or for collection only. The information online was in direct contradiction to what the staff members were staying. Please, could the manager confirm the details of the deal and any nuances, because I'm genuinely very confused. Cheers

Complete waste of time, took over 2 hours to deliver. When arrived it was cold. Phone calls in the interim we lies - yes it will be there in 10 min or driver on way - no standards or respect. Dominoes in future!!!!

Truly awful. After 90mins the pizza still hadn’t arrived. The shop kept hanging up when I called. Ended up going to the shop for a refund - and none of the staff knew how to issue a refund! Avoid.

this place is a complete rip off they sent out 1 box of a 4 box delivery with a motorcyclist then denied any wrong doing of not supplying the food in the order saying the delivery driver must be eating it so I say do not use these scammers

Very poor service, waited an hour and a half, no pizza delivered. Called the store, who were apparently having issues with online orders but didn’t think to let those customers know. Weren't able to take the order over the phone, weren’t able to deliver. Unhelpful and rude.

Like many others, they slipped on the collection time and had to wait an additional 30 mins. However, the staff was dealing with us with full courtesy and we can’t blame them for being busy and short of staff on a peak weekend. And most importantly, pizza taste great and the potatoes were yummy!

Just like previous review they spun me a story that they would deliver another pizza after I complained that there was only a tiny few shreds of ham on my Hawian. After waiting over 2 hrs I rang and had the phone put down on me. So I drove to the shop only to be ignored. Then 3 staff came over and argued with me there was nothing wrong with the pizza in the first place.

We ordered at 7.21 and at 9 we recieved an email saying there is an issue with our order. I have been calling now for 40 mins and the petts wood store do not answer . No reply on twitter from papa John's or on. Instagram . We have been debited but not food and no service what is going on Papa Johns. Update apparently papa johns don't answer complaints for 7 to 10 working days but it may be longer cause they are busy and to make matters worse I have been charged twice for the non arriving pizza

Avoid. Should have checked the reviews before ordering from this store. 2 hours wait for the order to arrive and 1 one of the 2 pizzas i order was wrong.

Me and my wife put our order on Papa johns website in at 7:16pm. We started to question what was happening when an hour had gone by and it was still saying “preparing.” After talking about it we decided that maybe the system wasn’t showing our order so we tried to phone them but after 20 minutes of failed attempts we stopped trying. ( although I could of sworn I heard them quickly pick up then disconnect the phone) so it got to 9:10 pm and we didn’t know if we were gonna get our food until it popped up telling us that our order is cancelled. I understand that these things happened but this exact thing happened 2 days before. This could of been handled if they would simply pick up the phone, but I guess they just aren’t prepared.

I’ve had great service from Papa John’s elsewhere but the Petts Wood store seems like it needs a swift change of management. I wish I had read the reviews here prior to ordering. Order shows as preparing on the tracker for over an hour and no one picks up the phone after 12 missed calls. Absolute joke, ruining the company’s good reputation. They sent the wrong drink and no one bothered to message that it would be swapped. The food itself was mediocre at most - a half/half pizza was more like 1/4 - 3/4 and looked like it was sliced by a 2 year old. Next time I will order from domino’s just because of the appalling service.

First they were over 1 hour late. When chased, they promised a free pizza for the next order. I went in after picking up two hungry children from school today, they just denied that there is anything to say they have a free Pizza for us. Even when I showed them a screen shot of how late they were at our previous order. Worst of all, the store manager Ash just didn't care, he pretended he was trying to resolve the issue, but he just kept us waiting around for no reason for over 30mins, who would do that, especially for two young children waiting to be fed. Shame on him and the lies about promising a free pizza and the lies about cannot find any record of it. This isn't about a free pizza, it is about how to treat your customers. Being a part of our small local community, how Ash distoried the reputation of Papa Johns, a brand we used to enjoyed and used regularly.

This might be the worst branch of Papa John’s. Every time I order a delivery it comes an hour late. Today I ordered food at 11:22, it 11:54 right now and my order is showing as “we’re preparing your order”. Half an hour should be enough for it to already be on the way, but it’s not even in the oven yet. I called the store and apparently “the printer didn’t print the order”, so if I hadn’t called I wouldn’t receive the order at all. Highly unprofessional service and it’s been like that for at least a year now. They always have an excuse whether it is the driver, the printer or something else. That 1 star is for the food, it’s still delicious but it doesn’t make up for the terrible customer service.

The Pizzas themselves are good, however the delivery times are way too slow. Also, why is there such a huge differential in price between having a Pizza delivered and collecting the exact same Pizza? The delivery charge works at around £10, which is far too much for a local delivery.

Came in to collect my pizza only to realise the guy making the pizzas is his hands in his hair and rubbing his nose constantly let me not forget the dirty fingernails The staff in here they don’t look clean I know that’s bad to say but that’s the people cooking our food they don’t wear hair nets and they just wipe their hands on those clothes will not be ordering from here again I would’ve cancelled my order but I was collecting the food for someone else

1 star is for the Pizza.. Ordered at 830am in advance for 7pm party. I called 3 times at 715pm - no answer. Ended up driving there as it was getting to 725pm. We intercepted the moped driver who could only take 4 out of 8 pizzas as apparently the nornal driver had a flat tyre. If you know this call your customer and give them the option to pick up. The other 4 pizzas would have arrived at 745pm. This store is understaffed and shambolic I'd rather go to Dominos next time because they are well staffed and organised. if you are determind to eat Papa Johns. Avoid delivery at all costs.

Bad service and quality of service

Petts Wood Papa John's is getting worse and worse when it comes to delivery times. I order pizza here fairly often and with a lot of my recent orders, I've had to wait 2 hours for my pizza to show up. According to the delivery driver who delivered my order, they have barely any delivery drivers working shifts, so there's usually only 1 working at a time with a massive backlog of orders. In terms of the pizza itself, it's usually pretty good, but there are times where the pizzas have been subpar for the amount I am paying.

Spoke to Haram at this store and he couldn't of been more helpful. Very friendly and super customer service

A complete con - money taken for online order (store says it’s open) 1 hour later the online order tracker says ‘being prepared’. No answer to phone calls so I drive to the store - Lights are on but the store is locked up and nobody around - AVOiD !

Third time I've placed an order here, third time they've messed it up. Always something missing, wrong items given. When you call they tell you they will refund you and they don't. Won't waste my time again and would recommend others to avoid!

Overpriced for a pizza with half the ingredients missing. When speaking to the guy on the phone he gets your pizza wrong and comes with half the ingredients missing. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Avoid! Placed an order, got an email 30 mins before delivery that there was an issue and to call the store. Called them up and they said that they hadn’t had a delivery so had no pizzas but they still took the money out of our account. We have tried to call a number of times but cannot get through to them to get a refund

A bit hit and miss with this store, sometimes excellent service but not so tonight..must be short staffed. Ordered on line 7pm for delivery 8.30pm. Called them at 8.50pm to ask where food was...'we have your order, there are people in front of you...it'll be about an hour' So we cancelled our treat....why could they not have let us know.....I can understand being short staffed, so many places are...but a call meant we could have sorted something else out sooner. (This is the restrained polite version of how disappointed I really am)

Whenever I've gone here, I always get a good pizza. I've never had my pizza delivered however for collection, it's pretty good!

Full Warning: Would give 0 stars if possible. I've ordered from other Papa Johns stores before and trust the brand, but this specific store should just close down. My experience with it has permanently damaged the brand's reputation in my eyes. I ordered at 20:01. It took an hour for the order to even be marked as 'preparing' and another hour and a half to get a text that it was out for delivery. I tried phoning the store 8 times during that hour and a half but all calls were ignored. It had already gone 23:00 by the time the delivery arrived. I asked the delivery driver why the store wouldn't answer the phone and he said that it had been turned off so they couldn't get complaints. That is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable. I asked about cancelling the order but the driver said the store was now closed so I'd just have to take it and that it was nothing to do with him as he only works for Just Eat, which is an odd deflection as Just Eat were nothing to do with my order. It was placed directly through the Papa Johns website. When I was handed the food it was immediately clear that it was all stone cold and when I checked the boxes, there were no dips included at all - which is especially frustrating since, on top of those which normally come with the mains and sides, I also paid for an extra dip, which was also not delivered. Currently trying to get my money back as this service it utterly unacceptable. Honestly, if you're ordering pizza for delivery, just take your money elsewhere.

Awful. Delivery took over 1hour 40mins to arrive. Food almost cold on arrival and bits missing. Driver also took to wrong house first despite clear labels. Utterly rubbish - oh and they don't answer the phone.

Not sure why I keep giving this place second chances! I have never had a pizza delivered under an hour and a half from here and whenever I call I speak to teenagers who have had no training on speaking to customers! Absolute shambles of a place

Absolute joke, hour and a half later food is not here. They do not answer the phone, they are incredibly rude. Avoid using this store, they are an embarrassment.

Food was lovely and hot, no mistakes were made, delivery driver was very pleasant. It took 45 minutes but it was a Saturday night and it’s the busiest day of the week for take away , so I understand

Ordered on the app then got a phone call to say it was ready as the app didn’t work. Picked up my cold overcooked pizza once one of the staff finally moved the 2ft from where he was standing to where I was standing waiting. He didn’t have to move such a distance simply to pass me my frozen pizza but he did and such superhuman efforts should be recognised - Bravo Sir, Bravo. I do hope he was allowed a break afterwards, perhaps he could be allowed a little sleep under the counter or something as he will no doubt be absolutely shattered - 2ft is quite the distance. Anyway enough about him, I’m pleased to report the pizza was both burned to a crisp but also colder than the North Sea, the garlic bread (ridiculous idea) was nice, once I managed to gnaw a piece of it off it was quite edible but I had to drink several litres of water to help it go down. All in all a pleasant meal I’d recommend to anyone I despise.

Ordered 3 pizzas, nothing came. Called the shop after 90 mins to he told the driver had just left. So it took them 90 mins to cook 3 pizzas? Finally arrived, driver said there were free items inside, there were not. As for the pizza...the crust is dry and chewy. The garlic "sauce" is revolting because it's butter not sauce. Rank! My advice, go across the road to Iceland and buy a frozen pizza. It's a better experience than Pathetic John's Petts Wood.

Really chewy , over cooked pizza. Not worth the money. The tracker didn’t even work to say the pizza was ready for collection - kept showing as ‘preparing your order’. The stuff didn’t want to know that the app isn’t working. Last time which was about 6 to 9 months ago ordering from here and the whole family enjoyed the hot pizzas but this time they were warm and minimal toppings and base was burnt and chewy.

Ordered a pizza at 5:30pm for a 7:30pm delivery, prebooked so as to avoid delays, now 1hr15mins after expected delivery time. I don’t think the pizza is coming, I’ve spoken to 4 different people on the phone, no idea how to get a refund, we have guests, we haven’t eaten and we have to leave in 10 minutes. Thanks for a ruined evening. Edit: Pizza arrived at 10pm!! 2.5 hrs after it should have arrived. I refused the pizza as had already eaten. No apology, no refund. I now have to go through the complaints procedure. Never again.

So I appreciate we ordered on a Friday night which will previously be busier, but considering we ordered for ASAP at 19:07 and FINALLY got our order at 20:40 AFTER calling at 20:03 and being told it would be with us in 15 minutes, I'm extremely disappointed!! It is not the customers fault if you have "lots of orders and not enough staff" as the person I spoke to attempted to fob me off with. Dont waste your time!! App didn't update at all so was completely useless and had to call 17 times before someone actually answered!!!!!

Useless rude staff first time ordering messed up our order. Then told us they don't do half n half. Went back and staff was aggressive as asked to re order but wouldn't fix our order this place is awful I highly recommend NEVER ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!

Used to be decent, especially during 1st lockdown. Last few orders have been awful (once the half and half we ordered had all the toppings spread over the whole thing), missing items, long waits etc. The only reason I keep going back is because the send me a ‘sorry to keep you waiting’ discount voucher after every order. Tonight waited 1 hour 30 for our order to be delivered. The online tracker reckoned it took 32 minutes to drive 2 miles. Food arrived cold. The pizza had hardly any toppings on it! At least in the past when I’ve waited a bit the food has still been decent. Actually wish I’d photographed tonight’s delivery as it was shocking how poor it was. Bet they email me a voucher again to say sorry. Won’t be using it though. They need to get their act together before I order from them again!

Ordered at 7pm food arrived stone cold at 8:30 which I refused to accept, was told it would be remade by the store and would have it delivered in 30 mins. At 9:30 finally got them to answer the phone and was told it’s just left and is on its way… they stopped answering the phone at 10 so in complete frustration drove to the shop to be told it was still there and was cold AGAIN. So the useless manageress remade my order and promised me a refund. Well it’s been 3 weeks still no refund and the head office has told me it’s not down to them to refund me. DONT ORDER FROM THIS PATHETIC PLACE I’d give it 0 stars if I could

Horrific service, waited over 2 hours for my delivery. Called up and was told it would take another 5 minutes. Called up again and was told it would take 10 minutes and he couldn't get hold of the delivery driver and was still waiting. Finally arrived and was told they sent the delivery driver to Beckenham rather than Bromley. Pizza was luke warm and horrible. Its happened twice now that I've waited this long for a pizza. Go somewhere else, honestly.

I've been waiting for nearly 2 hours. When they finally answered their phone after several phone calls. I was told they are currently making the pizza? I said to them what time I ordered and was told "unfortunately Friday is our busiest night" fair enough but the service has dramatically went down in the last few weeks and the pizza has been slacking and not as good as it used to be!! Shame as this papa john's was our favourite. Not so much any more. Also there's a certain young guy who's answered the phone a few time with some serious attitude problem... Need new management and better staff? DISSAPOINTED!!

Avoid! Ordered food online, had the order cancelled but money was taken from account. Tried calling for over 15min, but no answer. Ended up having to drive down to the store and was told order wouldn't be honoured unless we paid again! Server was incredibly rude too. Ordered one pizza, waited for 2.5 hours for delivery, phoned the stored and I kept getting promises that delivery will take place in the next 10mins. Finally called back to demand a refund, was told to accept delivery and then they would process the refund. The delivery lady insisted I take the pizza although I refused to take it, the lady then phoned the store and had confirmation that the refund would be processed on that moment and that I shall be getting an email confirmation of this. I am still waiting for the email and the refund. I feel that I've been treated like a child, and I don't think they will ever process my refund. Extremely poor customer service at PettsWood. Very dissatisfied.

Delicious pizza, possibly the best tasting pizza place I know, but for some time it's been impossible to get an order from them, the amount of days I have ended up raiding an already empty fridge because I found out way too late my food wasn't coming makes this a pizza place I won't be ordering from again. Once more into the fridge I go.

We've been waiting for our order for 3 hours now. Got through on the phone once 1.5hrs ago to be told it would be another 40 mins and their head office had not listened to them but left them overwhelmed. No way to cancel the order. If I could give zero stars I would. Ruined the night!

Service at pick up was great. Very helpful staff and very pleasant. However, they have stopped delivering to BR66 which is very odd and there is not a good reason. Also pizzas with no cheese were cold.

I don't know what it is with Papa johns have had only had pizzas from this chain twice once in north London and now in Bromley, as Chef you know the cost of ingredients the Pizzas form Papa johns are very expensive for what they deliver the ingredients are not exactly what the founder states ' better ingredients' the product is quite low cost and the amount of ingredients on the pizza isn't a lot I order extra mushrooms on my pizza and i would say I was given exactly 1 mushroom sliced up on the pizza. the delivery is very good and quick and professional, they have good selection of menu. If your like me and you love good pizza unfortunately Papa johns is below average I wouldn't recommend them for good pizza but they do offer a complete service, I would probably not order from them again, but thought I would pass on my review so others are not disappointed about the quality.
