I used to visit this park 35 years ago. I used to live nearby. We took our dog for a walk here....lovely walk. You can take so many different ways so you never get bored. Don't go on a Saturday cos football and rugby are played. The reason I have given only 3 stars is because it is full of dog pooh. Why won't people pick up?? There are signs everywhere but obviously people in Orpington don't care!!

This park is great for a run or walk as you can also explore other areas around by navigating through woods. The only downside is that it gets muddy when it rains on those paths, so be prepared.

Pitch wasn't great but considering recent weather it's not bad either. No indication at the beginning of the road that leads to the pitches. A nice sign would be appreciated. Parking is free and abundant. Toilets and bar are also by the pitch.

Downside is, there's not toilet facilitie, in case you plan for a family day out there. Not water fountain as well. You will have to bring with you enough beverage for a day. The only close shopping area is at the petrol station M&S and a Coop a few good minutes walking from the carpark area.

Nice mid-sized park with tennis courts and playground. Also has basketball facilities but they are not the best (e.g. no chains on baskets despite requests of the council) and the court doubles up as a small 5-a side football pitch so there is often competing usage and waiting around.

The best thing about Goddington Park is that it stretches from Court Road through 4 fields with goal posts, runs along farmer’s fallow land one side and on to Chelsfield Lane, an impressive stretch. What’s its downside? A lack of parking with the overflow relegated to what feels like a pebble quarry under my wheels. All that space is at it’s best when walking your dog. Lots of nose postcard patches for our pooches yet most people are considerate in scooping, bagging and dumping all the “barker’s eggs” that usually foul most parks. BTW, can anyone tell me what the walking path tile with a ghostly figure leading away a small child means? Alien pick up point or worse?

This is a big green space, popular with dog walkers. There are two enclosed playgrounds, the bigger of which is next to the car park (usually plenty of space but can get very busy when there is football/rugby). The playgrounds are almost connected by a paved path which is reasonable for learning to ride a bike, although there is a bit of an incline which might be an issue for those just beginning. There are a number of football pitches and a cricket pitch, with rugby pitches in the area beyond. There’s also plenty of room for a picnic out in the open or in the shade of one of the many trees. October 2021 - at the bigger playground, the zip line, tyre swing and seesaw are all currently out of use.

I haven't been around the parkland area yet so will update my review once I have (June 2021). I can say that there is a large free car park, always a bonus, and plenty of bins for dog waste. Rang through an order for collection 10 mins before closing on a Saturday. Expected to be told "sorry, too late. No pies. We're not putting any more fish in" But no - They were happy to take my order, when most others would have started clean-down and refused. Nice blokes on collection (less than 5 mins before closing at this point). Didn't feel rushed at all. Usually with chip shop chips you have to pick and choose which ones you eat. Not here - chips weren't greasy, but equally not dry. No rejects, but the portion sizes meant we couldn't finish it all. Chip butties tomorrow with the left-overs! Wife's very picky with her fish, but commented how nicely done it was, and again about the portion size being large. Will absolutely be making this our go-to from now on.

This place needs to be shut down or fix it self up, there are already two McDonald’s in the same area one near the Primark and this one meaning that there is no need to rush or be lazy to correct an order that you messed up. So the story is, the staff don’t like to be corrected when they are in the wrong, and they told me to not worry about when they messed up my order and I asked them to change it, they got annoyed and asked me why, despite it been self explanatory, I told them why, he looked annoyed, but went and changed it but I fear that they may have put something in my drink or food out of spite. Btw, it was not even rush hour, they were acting like it was. I know many people who have similar experiences with rude staff members btw he was a manager, also the food looked too dry. Look, I’m not for best of the best service but I’m asking for the standard service that McDonalds always they say that the will provide.
