A lovely warm welcome from out waitress Tawana, who continued throughout the evening with excellent friendly service. The restaurant is a very casual cantina style restaurant, nice atmosphere and I loved the music, not in the way at all and really added to the atmosphere. We had two beers and a bottle of wine, a shared starter and two main courses and the cost was £72 with a 10% service charge. Very worthwhile as the food was amazing. We shared the Grande Nachos, and we have had many a Nacho course in the past but this was the best we have ever had. Far too much for two people but we had to have them! lol I then enjoyed very much the Chicken Tinga Bowl and my husband had Chicken Chimichanga which he said was very good. The food was nicely prepared as Mexican food can look messy. We took a food box to go so I would recommend just one course as the portions are big. Our compliments to the Kitchen as the food was excellent. Great customer service with a constant smile from Tawana. We will be dinning here again. Thank you Tawana and all the staff at the Medley Bar and Kitchen.

Went for Sunday lunch 5 people and found it quite disappointing. Food was poor and also found it strange when asking for a large coke to drink was told only sold cans which I found odd. Side dishes came out half way through mains. Can’t even say it was because it was busy as there was only one other table.

Placed a huge order, rude lady in kitchen! No customer service. Not all the food that we ordered came out and we were still charged. Such a shame could be a really lovely local place to eat.

Tawana provided amazing customer service! She is extremely friendly! Also, I had the garlic king Prawns with the mashed potatoes, and it was delicious! I'd love to see it on the main menu! The mash potato is a nice and healthy alternative to chips

This is a great restaurant for lunch or dinner - really made a change as not many Mexican restaurants around but enjoyed this with great atmosphere and really friendly service from Tawana & Olivia they made as feel so welcome & offered brilliant service.

We were looking for somewhere different to eat and stumble across this lovely quaint but very vibrant Mexican diner, named Melody Market. We were immediately greeted with a warm smiley waitress, who gave us an option on where we would like to be seated, which was refreshing as normally you are shown to where the restaurant want you to sit! We were than given our menus and left to decide what we wanted, we could not make our minds up! And our waitress obviously observed this and was so helpful, she offered her assistance, and actually took her recommendation. She then ensured that we were given drinks immediately! Then we did not have to wait too long before our food arrived! Which was presented very well, and was very tasty! To be honest, the portions we received were too much! We ended up leaving the frahitas! As we were full! The food was first class and so was the service, we were particularly impressed with our waitress, and her service! And the calm delightful manner in which she served us! Not too intrusive neither! Her name was Olivia, which we found out when paying the bill. Hence the reason I was inspired to write this glowing review! We will both be revisiting this restaurant again in the near future! Thank you Olivia 🙏🏼

Popped here for some dinner with my partner and a couple of friends. Food was great. I ordered a burrito, nachos with a delicious mojito too. The service was also great, a lovely young lady (Olivia) served our table. She was super friendly, polite and went above and beyond. Great service and food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming back for sure 😘

We were a large group of friends turned down by another local restaurant, so decided to give Desperados, now called Medley Market a go. They offer a great variety of brands, different burgers, chicken, beef and pork, the tacos were really good but I must say the Nachos were OUT OF THIS WORLD. Definitely coming back for more. Thank you to the lovely staff too.

Myself a 3 friends visited this place as part of our monthly dinner club. It was terrible. We weee sat next to a queue of Uber eat drivers who were on their phones and literally hovering over our table. There was a constant flow of them throughout our meal. Drinks came out as warm cans of coke. We were provided a glass and ice which didn’t make much difference. Burgers were quite plain and dry and the chicken wings didn’t have much meat on them and the sauce was not spicy as advertised on the menu. It was taco Thursday on their website but the staff said they didn’t know anything about it so the offer was not available to us The max and cheese was straight from a tin and microwaved. They forgot our jalepeno poppers. When they brought them out eventually, they were freezing cold in the middle. Not a great experience. Wouldn’t return. Might do a job as a takeaway but definitely not a restaurant. AVOID.

Ordered food on Uber eats turned up 1 hour 40 minutes late absolutely disgusting and stone cold rung restaurant response was nothing they can do waist of £26 pounds recommend avoiding this restaurant

The restaurant is now called Medley Market. My husband and I visited on a Monday night - I'd phoned ahead to reserve an outside table so we could bring our dog with us. We both thought the food was very tasty and the portion sizes generous. The lady serving us was lovely. It didn't bother us, particularly as we were sitting outside so separate to the restaurant body as such, but we were the only customers the whole time we were there. Parking on the side street nearby is free after 6.30pm.

Came for a BURGER for lunch. Had to wait 45 minutes (!!!) to get it - when I was the only one dining. Then they had the audacity to add a service charge to the bill. I really don't understand how they can treat people like that and still be in business - but obviously I did not read the reviews before coming in - so I guess that explains it.

30/07/2022 This place goes by at least 3 different names, ‘Say Queso’ on Google, ‘Papi Taco’ on the take-out apps and ‘Desperados’ in person. Overall the food was extremely disappointing and the pictures on the apps incredibly misleading. Firstly, the tacos. Admittedly, they do not specifically say hard or soft shell, but what came was essentially bland slop in a wrap. They did not give us any of the sauces that we paid for, either on the tacos or separately. So there was no saving grace there. Secondly, the Nachos. We have no idea what kind of sauce was on this but it was very strange. I won’t say it was bad as that seems to be more of a matter of opinion. However, it was simply soaked in this sauce, with a bit of cheddar sprinkled over it and nothing else. Thirdly, the quesadillas. We went with plain cheese and it was still terrible. How do you mess up cheese + wrap + heat? I will say, it was delivered very quickly and the curly fries were decent. Overall, I’d recommend avoiding this place.

Im not sure how this restaurant has customers im assuming not returning ones anyhow. The food came out so quick, to quick about 5 mins after sitting down! A plate of soggy sloppy microwaved potato skins. My Steak burrito seemed to be filled with steak sauce with a few stodgy chunks of supposed steak tasted and looked like the tinned steak filling you can buy from the supermarket used as pie filling! When i bit into my burrito there was a piece if stringy plastic inside. Yes i told the waitress who kinda just screwed her face up. This restaurant is a let down to the area. If you fancy a mexican take a trip to orpington fiesta mexicana great service, food and music and 241 cocktails on a Tuesday!

I was gifted a voucher by my brother for a meal here and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were super friendly to our 3 year old daughter and allowed her to be herself which we loved. Very friendly atmosphere, the rice bowls are delicious and the evening served its purpose. Great casual dining experience. We will return

Ordered a take-away. Food arrived quite quickly, but was sone cold. I had to microwave it to make it edible.

6 of us celebrated my friends birthday last night and the service was disgusting! It was a catalogue of being ignored, wrong drinks, being stirred at by at least 5 staff (just standing around!)I asked for a jug of Sangria, got a glass. My husband asked for a pint of Budweiser, he got a bottle. I asked for a red wine with my steak, I had eaten half my dinner and when it arrived it was white wine. The icing on top of the cake was the birthday girl ordered a Tequila sunrise and she had dead ants in it, we sent it back and complained, they did gave an alternative drink. I asked to speak to the manager, but he wouldn't come over to speak to us.When the bill finally came, we were charged for the drink with ants!!!! Once again I asked to speak to the manager, who was hiding behind the bar and he refused to speak to us, so finally they deducted the one cocktail. Will never be going back there again.

Came here a few days ago. Returned tonight with my daughter for round 2. Absolutely amazing food. Staff are very friendly and the venue is perfect for the Mexican cuisine

Was a regular until Covid hit so first time I have been for a while and seems to have new owners. The menu has changed and not as much choice as before, I have never had a bad meal here but starters this time wasn’t great, garlic bread had no flavour and calamari was ok, the mains chicken and steak fajitas which seemed to have just been reheated and chicken burger which was cooked through but had a vile taste and smell that I couldn’t eat after one bite. Staff didn’t want to take my criticism even if not eating my meal was proof enough that it wasn’t edible. Such a shame as was always a great restaurant before but now wouldn’t go again or recommend

Ordered chicken fajitas they were dripping in oil & the chicken was dry. Threw them in the bin. Will not use again absolutely terrible what a waste of money.

Used a groupon voucher which the booking was straight forward and on arrival the voucher was scanned. Food was hot and very tasty. A little confusion with white sangria but just got two reds instead. We only had one extra drink along side our 2 mains and 2 desserts. However they did try charging for desserts but 2 calls later it was sorted out. Nice place to visit but maybe go in the evening with a little more atmosphere.

1st visit here for dinner and really enjoyed it. Service was excellent and choice of food was very good. Went for the calamari for starters and garlic prawns for main. Both very good. Cocktails were fab! Reasonable prices. Suitable for families. Will go again for sure.

Young staff were great and the lady also The male owner I think looked like he'd been hit with a wet fish ( misserable)Orderd a main sharing platter for two Came with 3 x jalapeno bites 3 x chicken mini drumsticks And a flat Quasedilla plus a sml bowl of chilli looked and tasted like it came out of a can .Ask why their was 3 items not 4 Of each chef , said that's how it is so we had to halve a mini chicken wing and one and half chilli bite each ,and cut the sml Quasedilla in half ridiculous best part of meal was starter , sharer player again ( natches this was actually tasty) with olives ect

My husband and I visited for our anniversary meal using a Groupon voucher - I had to change the booked time last minute but was met by a very friendly person on the phone and that continued into our visit where all of the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. The decor of the restaurant is really lovely and I'd highly recommend a visit.

Ordered a chicken rice bowl through Uber eats and the chicken is grey and tasted out of date!Looked like slop. Such a shame as we used to eat here and it used to be great but the food I just ordered is not edible, and I don't fancy getting sick from eating grey chicken.

Tried to call restaurant 6 times until they answered to let them know I’m gluten free as deliveroo didn’t give me an option to leave a note and the food had already been picked up... think it’s unacceptable that I had to call 6 times before someone picked up as the phone just kept on ringing - appalled by the service and no apology was given

We booked a table in advance for 7.30 in the evening. In the afternoon of the day of the reservation they called to check that we were still going and I confirmed that we were. We arrived at 7.25 and were told that they were sorry but there was a system error and there was no table for us! They must have known this when they checked in the afternoon. I am fuming, we had paid for a cab and at the very least they could have phoned and told me there would be no table not let me travel there. As we walked away we heard the same had happened to two other parties. It was not an accident, clearly it was a way to maximise profits on the last day before lockdown regardless of whether you had booked or not. I have been a regular since they opened but this is the second time I have been let down by this restaurant and I will definitely no go back again. Avoid.

Fui aquí por primera vez anoche y comí enchiladas de pollo y mi OH comí burritos de carne. Después de aproximadamente 5 minutos teníamos un plato pequeño de comida y una guarnición de arroz pálido con ensalada llegaba a la mesa. Como fue tan pronto después de ordenar y debido al tamaño de la porción, asumí que era un aperitivo cortesía del chef. Pero no, no, no, ¡esta era mi enchilada! ! ¡Una envoltura pequeña que solo vale la pena en una oferta de comida de Sainsbury con marcas de salpicaduras de microondas en el costado del plato! Hacía mucho calor en los bordes y casi caliente en el medio. Sin embargo, estaba delicioso y lo comí porque me moría de hambre, pero esperaba al menos 2, ya que cuesta 15 (creo). Mi OH envió su espalda ya que estaba frío como una piedra y antes de que puedas decir desesperado, otro llegó a la mesa como reemplazo. ¡Obviamente calentado en el microondas de nuevo!Cuando llegó la factura, me quejé y me quitaron el cargo por el servicio que no iba a pagar de todos modos. La mesa estaba reservada para las 7 pm - cuando llegamos a las 7 nos pidieron que esperáramos 5 minutos para nuestra mesa - ¡en realidad tuvimos que quedarnos afuera durante 20 minutos! Dios mío, este era nuestro restaurante favorito en Petts Wood, cometimos el error de ir un martes durante la comida para ayudar. ¿Qué puedo decir? La comida era terrible para sus propios estándares; el plato de fajita estaba frío, las tortillas estaban crujientes así que tenías que doblarlas. La hamburguesa de chorizo tenía dos trocitos de chorizo crujientes cocidos en exceso y eso fue todo. Toda la familia estuvo de acuerdo en que su comida fue decepcionante.¿Distanciamiento social? La siguiente familia estaba a 6 pulgadas de mi hombro sin pantalla. Me engañaron con una parte principal de mi comida.

Family dinner on the 28th, table booked.On arrival i was surprised at how empty the restaurant was for a Saturday night, i put this down to the Christmas period. Slow service and general lack of interest, staff milling around talking at the bar.Food was just ok and did not taste like i remember it, very disappointed.Restaurant needs a manager who really cares and wants to be there, not the case right now.We will not be going back again!

Al llegar, el gerente dijo que nuestra reservación era para las 7:15 y que pensaban que no íbamos a venir, por lo que habían cambiado la mesa. Le dije que habíamos reservado para las 7:30 (recibí un correo electrónico de confirmación como había reservado en línea, aunque no les mostré esto), pero él todavía creía que habíamos llegado 20 minutos tarde. Se sintió como que debido a este malentendido, el personal realmente no quería acomodarnos y no era amable como lo recordaba hace unos años.Las órdenes tardaron en salir, pero las mesas más grandes a ambos lados de nosotros que habían ordenado después de nosotros recibieron su comida mucho antes.Esperamos un buen rato y luego preguntamos cortésmente cuánto tiempo sería y dijeron "no está listo".Cuando llegó la comida fue agradable, así que realmente no tengo ningún comentario negativo que hacer sobre la comida en sí.Cuando recibimos la factura, el camarero hizo un comentario inaudible, y aunque no podemos estar seguros, no sonó cortés. No creo que vuelva a este restaurante, lo cual es una pena, ya que cuando vivía cerca solía visitar mucho.

Llevé a mi novia allí para su cena de cumpleaños, habíamos estado una vez antes y ella lo disfrutó.Recibimos el habitual servicio no muy amable ... esperadoPedimos la comida y las bebidas, mi novia encontró un cóctel roto en su comida, lo mencioné y casi me encojo de hombros. Pedí algunas bebidas más, luego mi bebida que no había terminado fue retirada antes de que terminara. No tuve la oportunidad de detenerlos, ya que simplemente pasaron y continuaron.Luego, para colmo, nunca nos ofrecieron postre ni más bebidas o incluso café. . básicamente solo ignorado. La única opción era pedir la factura ... Que llegó en segundos ya impreso ... supongo que el plan era deshacerse de nosotros.Definitivamente no volveremos.Entregaremos nuestro comercio a los otros restaurantes en Petts Wood. . Hay unos cuantos.

Just been here for lunch and was thoroughly impressed! Somewhere different to go on a Sunday, blaring out the tunes, appropriate decor and a relaxed atmosphere. Wasn’t busy at all but I liked that! The food was absolutely amazing, I ordered the garlic bread for starters but it came out on a tortilla? I’ve never seen that before but it tasted lovely! The only grumble we had was the cocktails were very watery, especially my porn star martini. Would 10/10 come back.

Visited the restaurant with my family and some friends today.We were very pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and the delicious food.Great cosy atmosphere.10/10 We would definitely go back and highly recommend this restaurant.Probably the best place to eat in Petts Wood.

Visited with family for dinner and a couple of drinks this evening. Found the menu full of inviting dishes and I opted for a steak- the rib eye didn't disappoint! All of us enjoyed our choices and would return.

save your money and go to one of the lovely restaurants in petts wood. Service was non existence and they charge 10% for the privilege. Food ok but nothing special. Many better options close by.

Los clientes que pagan bien, creen que las otras críticas son ciertas. La triste realidad es que fue una tarde encantadora y el ambiente en las pequeñas casas de madera era vibrante, el restaurante tenía sus ventanas abiertas y nuestros asientos eran cómodos, la comida que pedimos estaba deliciosa, pero los camareros ni siquiera le dieron contacto visual, no hicieron intenta ver si estabas bien, y en realidad te encuentras como si hubieras hecho algo mal incluso al entrar al restaurante. Entonces, lo que me gustaría saber es qué demonios les pasa a ustedes ser tan arrogantes con los clientes que pagan, no es como si fuéramos borrachos, tenemos 50 y tantos para una buena comida en nuestra área local. Qué vergüenza, aumente su actitud o las personas ricas como nosotros gastarán nuestro dinero en otro lugar y su restaurante obtendrá lo que se merece e irá a la quiebra, le han advertido.

We live nearby so this restaurant is great to visit with family etc. I love the sizzling fajitas and there is always a really good atmosphere

Food & drinks were delicious, quality food. Cocktails were amazing! Service was not so good, rude staff & another restaurant who add on gratuity & expect it for bad service. Gratuity is discretional & should be left upto the customer not added automatically!

Fuimos tres chicas a tomar algo y algo rápido para comer. Pedimos 3 cócteles y nos sorprendió ya que eran bastante grandes y mucho en cantidad. El lugar estaba bien, pero el camarero no es tan educado. Sin decirnos que el lugar estaba cerrando poco después de que nos fuimos, el mozo nos trajo las bebidas y luego de una hora llegó con nuestro recibo de pago. Al menos deberíamos haber sido notificados. Y mientras esperaba a que vinieran mis amigos del baño, otro mesero vino a decirme que tenía que irme. Así que el servicio no es educado.

My daughter had a meal here with two friends. She was circled during the entire meal which freaked her out as they felt like they were under surveillance. I've eaten here once myself but never again.

Great Ted-Mex food in Bromley, greater England. Traditional Mexican decor with a warm look-and-feel. The food was tasty and sumptuous. Overall, a great experience.

We visit Desperados frequently, the food is always good and we have always received very good service. Cocktails are the best around in my opinion. Great atmosphere in there if it is someones birthday and you are always given a complimentary frozen margarita when you have finished your meal. I will continue to go there and would recommend it to anyone as the best Mexican I have been in.

This was our second visit to Desperados. The first time being around a year ago now! The restaurant is lovely, nicely decorated with lots to look at!

Brought our family here for a lunch, service, food, table and drinks all A* cannot fault this place, we come often and would recommend to all ages, children are always very welcomed.

My family have always used this restaurant for family celebrations. Always had lovely birthday meals, always with a party size of 12+.

Have eaten at this place before and was ok, however just ordered a takeaway via Uber eats. Whilst the order turning up 1hr 29min late is not down to the restaurant I called the restaurant to ask that the make sure my order was kept hot.. it took Uber 6min to deliver once they collected the order all the food was stone cold, and please see below at the photo of how the chips turned up... very poor service by the restaurant..

Nipped out with Slabhead and a Dapper Laughs lookalike for dinner lunch yesterday and fancied somewhere different.

I’ve been visiting this restaurant for 6 years now and it never disappoints.

Nothing to flash or fancy , food reliable and good value. Not exactly authentic Mexican food is still pretty good and tasty with good drink options. Service always very good and welcoming to families .

Mr O and I got an evening out together! I said the magic words "how bout a Mexican?" Mr O nods. The car almost drives itself to Petts Wood. We enter Desperados, order a cocktail or two and settle down!

Staying with friends in Bromley, we all decided to eat at Desperados rather than cook.

Late night chilli was fantastic. Service very friendly and food very good. Clean establishment and I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants great value and tasty food.

Service seemed to have a can't be bothered attitude. Cutlery was dirty, food was good but was joined by unwanted guests ANTS. we moved up the table to get away from them, the server sprayed where the ants were and left it. but the ants marching back 2 by 2 ha ra ha ra. we finished out mains and headed to the local pub for pudding x

Found Desperados late yesterday and 7 of us tried here for the first time. Great value for money and all the food was very nice. We went fairly traditional, Nachos, Fajitas and Ribs and all plates were emptied. We will come back

Lovely food, although service a little slow and staff a little unfriendly nice range of drinks including a wide variety of cocktails which tasted nice although a tad expensive would visit again for a group meal

Have eaten in here before but not for a while so decided give it a go on a Saturday night ,we did pre book a table luckily as it was very busy !!we were seated and then left for ages so we called someone to take our orders for drinks my husband had a beer and I had s glass of red wine but it was so warm it was horrible so had to ask for a large glass of ice to cool it down!!the waitress said to me that it was because it was a warm day /eve!!

It’s a lovely place to eat with friends and family. Warm and smiling staff, great cuisine and atmosphere. I definitely , outstandingly, highly recommend it!! :)

Nice presentation and quality of food ,good location ,easy parking and really nice staff.Lunch menu is good value too,loved the decor and the beautiful chairs.Have been on three occassions and would recommend eating here ,or even pop in for just a coffee and a cake !

Warm & welcoming from start to finish. We were a party of 20, cold & hungry, straight from a freezing football match. The friendly atmosphere warmed us up immediately. The staff were amazing, very attentive & professional. Our fabulous food from starters to dessert was full of Mexican magic. We all enjoyed every minute, looking forward to our next visit. I came here on a Saturday evening with a couple of friends. We were all three very impressed with the experience and the atmosphere. The restaurant is colourful, bright and warm- the surroundings truly impact your mood and make it that much more pleasant. Service was as warm as the environment; very attentive and friendly. We were asked by three different people in three different occasions if everything was okay, which shows that they adhering to certain standards and that was a nice effort. We tried various cocktails and these were pretty big- bigger than the norm. I recommend the pina colada, so creamy and delicious!

Lacklustre experience, wetherspoons type food, nowhere near enough wraps for the fajitas. Friendly enough and good atmosphere but at the lower end for what you pay.
