Ordered delivery but the wrong order came. We tried to call them but they refused to answer. We can't even eat the food that arrived as we have allergies. Such a waste of food and money. You would think a chain restaurant charging £££ would be able to afford a working phone. Not angry, just disappointed.

Without fail almost every Thursday we order from this papa johns. And they’re always fantastic pizzas, we have a lovely delivery man called Nadeem, who brings us the pizza super quickly and is friendly and professional. Have never had a bad experience. Thank you guys

Thanks for the delivery. Unfortunately, I ordered a 1.5 litre Pepsi Max, but received a 1.5 litre bottle of Regular Pepsi instead. Other than that, great job.

Really lovely pizza and not bad prices either

I’ve bought pizza from this establishment several times before and it’s been fine. One of the times I ordered from this place before I had a “”small”” issue where I was given a non vegan item as a vegan but as we collected it the staff apologized and corrected the mistake quickly for us. This time (Saturday night) I’ve ordered through the website for delivery. 20 minutes after ordering the update says my pizza has been delivered but I’m still empty handed. Call the shop a few times and the line is not even ringing, I press “I haven’t received my order” on the site and I’m told to ring if it doesn’t show up in 5 minutes, which it doesn’t so I end up calling the shop 10 times, with absolutely no luck. 30 minutes after my pizza has been “delivered” the driver actually shows up saying “yeah, phone lines are down and the website just does that” when asked why this had happened. I’m not spending £40 in two pizzas just to sit and wonder if it will or will not show up, if they’ll give it to someone else or if they’ll even pick up the phone. It’s just not good enough for such company. Update: I ordered the Vegan Nuggets and Potato Tots Combo. I got vegan nuggets and no potato tots, but chicken nuggets as well. Absolute joke. Never ordering from this place again.

Second time now that vegan food has turned up as meat. Not bothered when you call them. If the phones even on. Delivered late, cold and not a care in the world. Last time I use this place. Please sort it out.

My biggest issue with Papa John's is that when it's good, it's great, but when it goes wrong, the customer service is terrible. I ordered a pizza that I had had multiple times before, and this time I got literally six small pieces of chicken on it; there wasn't even a piece on each slice. I tried to contact the branch, but there was no response. I then contacted the head office, but that was an absolute waste of time. Come on, sort your customer service out.

Papa Johns - Penwortham. Always very good food, quick delivery and warm upon arrival. Staff are friendly as they have got to know me over my long time buying food from this chain. Delivery drivers are mostly positive especially Olly, the exception being the one occasion where they find it acceptable to park outside honking there horn in rebellion whilst refusing to exit there vehicle. This aside I’m always happy with pizza and will continue to support this business.

Very nicely done. Decided to give a try to some of the newer items on the menu, and I'm glad I did. I shall definitely be ordering again.

Our order was missing two items, the single item we got was lukewarm at best. Our driver was Ifram, who was lovely and we have no complaints on his service. We rang the store, they told us that they have our items in store, but told us our only option was to get a refund from just eat. We understand it gets busy and items get missed (from previously working in the chain) but we feel the situation could have been handled more professionally. We would have been happy to wait for the remaining items

I would give 0 stars if I could!! Disgusting customer service with a poor excuse of a “ language barrier “ One Particular member of staff was rude and ignorant to our request of a garlic bread being cut into the shape of a pizza and not sticks ( due to child with OCD) This member of staff then decided to have a breakdown in the middle of the shop, throwing stuff about and slamming cupboards like a CHILD! I ordered pizza to come for 15.45 it only said it was going out for delivery at 15.40. 16.10 I rang them which took 5 mins for them to pick up the phone.! It be there is 5 mins! So it came at 16.20 it was cold hard and unedible! They normally said a review email but nothing be there no it was Disgraceful delivery and food!!! I order from papa johns for over 15 years and it’s the end of the road for us now I will never order again from papa johns!!

Placed a takeaway delivery via just eat. Over an hour still no delivery. App not updated properly. Called the shop and was told lies and second call person on the line was rude.

Food was just and so warm. App wasn’t kept up to date. Times kept altering. Called restaurant twice. 1st occasion was lied to and 2nd time the guy was rude.

Usually extremely good quality pizza. But 2/5 rating, because I was advised this evening it would take at least 20 minutes, if not longer, if I went ahead to make a collection order, as they had so many different orders waiting ahead of me. Fair enough, but presumably the guy at the till was the only person making food, as in the few minutes it took him to serve the lady in front of me and then served myself, not a single pizza was being made.

Rang to see what offers they had on was told 11.99 for XXL, asked if this was for delivery told yes, said I would ring back when I have devices what I want, rang back and got an extremely unhelpful gentleman who sighed when I said I wanted to place an order then was told it would be £23.98!! Needless to say I wouldn’t pay double the price and won’t waste my time bothering to order from here again.

In all, the order was missing all of the paid-for sauces and the Pepsi 1.5 litre drink as well. The driver was highly argumentative, and told me that it wasn't up to him - but actually it was, seeing as he was the one who delivered the order.

Fantastic pizza and brilliant service. Ordered an XXL pizza and some sides on the app at a great price, and was ready in around 20 mins. The employee at the counter was very friendly when I came to collect. Fantastic.

AVOID!!!! The staff are utter Scumbags. Items missing from the order adding to the not one, but two cold pizzas delivered. Called the restaurant, absolutely no care whatsoever and was advised to put the Pizza’s in the oven if they was cold. FYI I live 10 mins from the shop.

Almost 2 hours waiting for 1 pizza delivery, no update on the tracking website, almost half an hour ringing...they don't pick up the phone... don't know what's going to happen with the money....AVOID Edit: 2h30min still hasn't arrived and no answer from restaurant. Edit2: 2h45 min it finally arrived. "It's too busy" that's the answer to my complaints. No reason to why not answering the phone or even call me when I placed the order to tell me that it might take a while... absolutely awful service

Rang papa johns, spoke to a very confused member of staff who insisted my order hadn’t been made or put through the system and insisted I wrote my delivery address incorrect. Just eat on the other hand must have gone unnoticed in the store, picked my mysterious order up and waltzed out to deliver it without papa John’s knowing. Just eat took over 45 minutes so was freezing cold. Awful service.

Previously stopped going here as the quality was pretty atrocious recently and had gone downhill with next to no toppings and luke warm food. However, we gave it another try yesterday and got the best pizzas we've had from here, on par with the first ones we got around a year ago which were also fantastic. The vegan cheese stuffed crust from here is really nice and the vegan cheese they use is also lovely. Makes me feel less left out due to not being able to eat dairy! Lots of toppings and was piping hot too and good options for vegans/vegetarians. My partner's pizza also had lots of toppings and was piping hot.

Placed order at 12, 12:31 app said foor was delivered but it wasnt. Rang up the restaurant, got a genuine apology and fantastic service. In the end it took an hour for our food to come but it was freshly baked, piping hot, absolutely stunning pizzas. The driver and the guy on the phone were both friendly and very helpful. Never received better service over delayed food than here.

Place does offer great range of Pizzas both vegetarian n vegans. It can be due to timing of the order very late one, could not pay over the counter due to not available of chip n pin, had to order it online.

Had 2 large pizzas, toppings were scarce and complained. Manager arranged to have these replaced. Note that the first set of pizzas tasted ok if reviewing the base only, however the replacement was like chewy rubber and even less toppings. Service was good, but really let down on the toppings and quality of the base. When you pay good money, you expect good quality food but random takeaways have scored more than this. Doubt I'll ever re-visit.

Ordered on the app for a collection deal which was really good value. I arrived early after the pub, and waited inside. They let me know there was a heater as I was freezing. Great friendly service and a really nice pizza.

I ordered around 19:00 and my food just arrived so it did take a bit long but when I called Papa Johns, the person on the phone was very friendly and the delivery guy Nodi/Noddy/Noddi (sorry for misspelling) was really nice!! Best delivery guy I had so far!!😄

Always good. Consistently so. Never had a bad pizza from papa johns. The sides are great too.

Ordered from Penwortham Papa John's yesterday for family visiting. The order arrived promptly and everyone enjoyed it. Everything eaten! The delivery guy was cheerful and friendly. We'd definitely use Papa John's again...especially the delivery service.

Had a few mess ups with the order in the past but spoken to the manager and he has sorted it every time. Very good customer service.

Dreadful service. Ordered 7pm.sat night. Waited 20 mins, then received notification order had been cancelled?? Rang 3 times , but they hung up each time! Drove up and asked for money back, as it had been taken out of my account. This will take 3 days apparently. Queue of people asking to see the manager. Oh dear. Won't be going here again..

Chicken wings were lukewarm at best the pizzas were dry and tasteless.

I made an online complaint about the service and food at this store but I didnt event receive a response even though its been a full week, that's why I've felt compelled to leave this review. The pizza wasn't what we ordered and there was hardly any toppings. The base was almost transparent even though we ordered the original. And the service given by the so called manager was shocking. On top of that they haven't even bothered to address my complaint. Terrible experience.

Ordered at 6:45PM on Saturday, order was marked as Completed and to 'Enjoy' my pizza at 7:45PM. Thought I'd just give it an extra half an hour incase it was a pre-emptive button press and the delivery driver hadn't set off yet, but no, they'd just marked it as completed and forgot all about me. My partner was passing by the store on her way home and when I asked her to go in and query, she found out that my pizza hadn't even been put in the oven yet. Almost two hours after I'd ordered. She then had to wait an additional 20 minutes while they decided to actually make my food. Now I know what you're thinking - why didn't I just call the store? I did. Twenty times. And that's a full dialling tone each time. I even tried calling the store while my partner was there just to see what was happening with the phone. The answer? Nothing. They just let it ring each and every time. Do not order from this store as I can promise you it will not be worth your time. If something is wrong with your order and you don't live nearby, you will have absolutely zero chance of reaching a resolution as they do not pick up their phone. Pathetic.

Ordered 3 large pizzas at 20:30. Wednesday night. Arrived at store by 21:05. At 21:10 order not ready and will be further 20mins until collection. Reason: There’s too many (8) orders and it’s just the two of us working tonight. So all in all close to 1hr wait for COLLECTION. I cannot imagine what their delivery timings are like. In the end: Got 2/3 pizzas after 1hr. They made a mistake on toppings. So had to revisit to get the missing pizza. After all, pizzas were warm at best, appetite and mood were gone. Pizzas had to be reheated in the oven upon returning home. Not a great experience. Not your ideal go to pizza place for their service standard and laidback attitude.

My husband and I had to wait over an hour for our order to arrive. When it eventually did the pizzas were cold and one of the quality seals was broken on the box. My husband rang to complain and they said they would replace the pizzas, if we sent the ones delivered back, we declined as who knows how long that would have take. The chap on the phone so incensed my husband, he ended up putting the phone down in disbelief; clearly keen to continue their fun they phoned my husband back and made a mockery of the Papa Johns brand. Disgusting! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

I ordered 12 extra large pizzas to be delivered for my sons 18th birthday get together from Penwortham Papa Johns and they were amazing! They even threw in some garlic cheese sticks for free! Very tasty pizzas which arrived exactly on time and we're hot. Price was extremely reasonable too! Highly recommend! 😊

Loveeee it here. Wish they delivered further afield as I have to collect I don’t order as much as I’d like. The BEST pizzas, much prefer them to more popular chains. I collected and was 25 minutes early, they catered for me and had my order in the next 10 minutes! Food was already pre ordered but papa John's rang 30 mins prior to collection to confirm pick up time which was a good touch, food was hot ready and delicious, it's not the cheapest, but its quality.

Worst experience, never using Papa john’s again ever.very very poor service, went to pick up an order and the person said five minutes wait then after 15 mins of wait another person comes up and said 2 mins waited another 10 mins and no apologies whatsoever.when complain to manager no sorry nothing ,waited more than 30 mins,the pizza was burnt and overcooked.I don’t know how this place is still open.AVOID

If I could rate less than 1 I would. Ordered 3 times, they've got it wrong 3 times. Always gone in the bin. I hate deep pan and stuffed crust, plus they don't put on extras I've paid for. No apologies ever. The last order, they put on extras that I don't like, missing what I paid for. Waste of time

Don't know why you can't get garlic breadsticks from this store anymore. I don't want five types of tater-tots... no-one does. Stop pushing them! They even gave us bloody tater-tots instead of our jalapeño poppers last time.

Pizza base absolutely drenched in BBQ sauce no flavour of anything else other than the sauce all topping slide straight off the base and just a big mess in the pizza box absolutely shocking to say it's been quality checked

Couldn't accept card payment , wouldn't take cash. Told to me order on line and pay by card ?????!!!!!! All whilst stood at the counter. I left dumbfounded and pizzaless.
