I left a review last year saying these guys made great pizza but unfortunately the delivery took way too long.. they have much improved their delivery times and always find the staff very friendly on the phone when placing an order! would recommend and far better than Dominos

Ordered 18 pizzas for my daughters birthday party across the road at Pixel Playhouse, they arrived exactly on time and were very nice. Unbeknown to me one of the guests had a gluten intolerance and they were able to replace a pizza in ten minuets. Great Service!

Absolutely lovely service and top quality food. Lad behind counter was spot on with me and the Mrs as it was our first time there, incredibly polite and very friendly. Highly recommend, will defo be going back.

Amrita who works at Papa John's does mine and my partner pizzas and we love them as they are not greasy and messy and when you take your first bite it melts in your mouth. Me and my partner love going here and we wouldn't go anywhere else for our pizzas

When I ordered I didn’t even say asap , I chose a time much later as we were on our way back from the airport. By the time it got to us we had already eaten something else , we couldn’t wait any longer. No apology or any reasons from delivery person

Second time I have used this place, second time the order is wrong! Ordered online and extra olives on both occasions, never appeared! Wouldn’t mind, but they charge almost £2 for them. Then ordered Tots with tomato and herb sauce, didn’t get anything. Jalapeño bites, out of stock, and finally pizzas luke warm! Will not be using again and certainly not premium pizzas.

Never had a papa johns pizza before. Called here for the 1st time after a night out. The staff were friendly and informative.The shop was clean. We took our very hot pizza home to eat. It was by far one of the best we have had. I would happily order from here again. 🍕 Called here again and got a personalised pizza! 😄 and again didn’t disappoint ! Called here again and tried some potato chips again didn’t disappoint. The staff always friendly 😊

We have never had a bad experience from this place in pontefract. Roman and the rest of the staff have never missed to make our pizzas better and better every time. Even if you are a little picky with what’s on your pizza. Congrats and never change you guys! Keep up the good work. You guys need more recognition The meat feast and chicken barbecue are to die for

over 30 mins late told driver stuck in traffic, driver said stuck in traffic but in a completely different area from Pontefract!!! and food luke warm not HOT !!!!

Far too overpriced for what it was, just under £40 for a small and medium pizza is ridiculous, regardless of the stuffed crust on the medium. The pizzas were both really greasy aswell. Overall really disappointing order.

£27 for 2 medium pizza that tasted like cardboard. A Tesco £3 pizza is nicer. How does food come out of the overnight cold 🙄 and not a word of English , which means they don't understand you. Which leads to a terrible atmosphere.. never again.

the staff barely spoke enough english to not even understand what a thick base was. the place was filthy with dirty tables and a very dirty floor, literally only 2 people working at the time.

Ordered food and it was ice cold and burnt (could not bite the garlic bread!!). I called them and got an evasive attitude and told 5 days for refund. I then asked for my order to be delivered again as we wanted the food not the refund. They would only deliver the pizza again. Not the sides that were inedible. Such a shame as papa johns was good previously. I will now go to another establishment without question!

Pizza was unfortunately the worst pizza I've had in years. No pizza sauce Paid extra for cheese base - that was missing Paid extra for Italian sausage - 3 pieces on the pizza Asked for the bacon to be swapped to chicken- didn't happen Barely any cheese on the pizza. Wasn't worth £26 😕😪

I haven’t had a Papa Johns for years and was really craving one tonight. When I saw the reviews on here I didn’t know whether to order. I’m so glad I gave it a chance (due to the 40% discount) it arrived 10 mins early, piping hot and delicious. It was a super pizza. Really enjoyed it. Thanks.

Great pizza - best we’ve had delivered this year. Really can’t fault the food. It was great. BUT the food took 1 hour and 50 minutes to arrive from when we ordered it - and when it was delivered the tub of Ben and Jerrys ice cream was so soft you could pour it out.

Ordered through Just Eats. I never even got my food!!! They are refusing to give my money back!!! We got an advanced delivery for 9pm, it never arrived, we messaged at 9.15pm, they said it was due at 9.35pm. We called again at 10pm, they said it was 5 minutes away, at 10.30, they wanted us to go collect the food as the driver was pulled over for not having his car insured!!!! We said we weren't able to as my mum has had a drink so legally couldn't drive, and I was up to my ears in work!!!! They said I would get a refund and this morning I have had a text saying that they are not giving my money back!!!! I have all the phone records and messages as proof!!! Give me my money back!!!! Never EVER I am going ordering from here!!!!

Terrible service, the food was very late, 2hrs and 40min from time of order. It took 2 chasing calls, and the order had to be recooked. When it finally arrived the order was incorrect - cheese added to a pizza for a lactose intolerant diner! I called back to ask for a refund to be told only the manager could process one. I asked to talk to the manager, to be told he was on a delivery and they would print the receipt for him. They then hung up. Not hopeful of the refund being processed either. Had an issue with a previous order where the payment glitched and I got charged twice. Reported this to the restaurant and was told the same thing, the manager will process etc, but never saw a refund.

Massively overpriced, poor quality food and very late, I had to call the restaurant to find out where it was. I’ll never order from them again, dreadful.

I had a bad experience with this branch around 8 months back where I was charged twice due to a glitch with the bank payment verification. I was told I’d be refunded, but this never happened. We avoided using them for a long time due to this, but my son is lactose intolerant and it’s one of the few places that had reliably delivered pizza with no cheese, so tonight we decided to give them another go. Ordered two pizza’s at 7. Waited 90 minutes then called to chase up and was told they were out for delivery and would be with us in 10 minutes. Half an hour later called again to be told that the delivery had gone to the wrong address. They then said they would re-cook the order and send it out in 15 minutes. Half an hour later (roughly 2hrs and 40min from order time) the order was delivered, but was incorrect. They had added cheese onto my sons custom order which had specifically had cheese removed. I called to insist on a refund, to be told they would talk to the manager, as only he could process a refund. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told he was on a delivery and they would print the receipt for him. They then hung up. This used to be a fantastic place, but it’s definitely lost it’s way!

Given original delivery time of 30 minutes which I thought was fast, but that rapidly changed to 40 minutes-60 minutes. Actual delivery time was one hour and 25 minutes past the scheduled delivery times. Pizza was very good except for being very lukewarm. My first time I tried papa johns was also my last. Not recommended!
