Never had a papa johns pizza before. Called here for the 1st time after a night out. The staff were friendly and informative.The shop was clean. We took our very hot pizza home to eat. It was by far one of the best we have had. I would happily order from here again. 🍕 Called here again and got a personalised pizza! 😄 and again didn’t disappoint ! Called here again and tried some potato chips again didn’t disappoint. The staff always friendly 😊

We have never had a bad experience from this place in pontefract. Roman and the rest of the staff have never missed to make our pizzas better and better every time. Can never fault the pizza!😍£4.99 for a medium 11.5 inch pizza is a BARGIN. Always so cheesy and full of pepperoni. Also always quick at making the pizza, it’s always ready to pick up when I get there. Amazing service x

over 30 mins late told driver stuck in traffic, driver said stuck in traffic but in a completely different area from Pontefract!!! and food luke warm not HOT !!!!

Far too overpriced for what it was, just under £40 for a small and medium pizza is ridiculous, regardless of the stuffed crust on the medium. The pizzas were both really greasy aswell. Overall really disappointing order.

£27 for 2 medium pizza that tasted like cardboard. A Tesco £3 pizza is nicer. How does food come out of the overnight cold 🙄 and not a word of English , which means they don't understand you. Which leads to a terrible atmosphere.. never again.

the staff barely spoke enough english to not even understand what a thick base was. the place was filthy with dirty tables and a very dirty floor, literally only 2 people working at the time.

Ordered food and it was ice cold and burnt (could not bite the garlic bread!!). I called them and got an evasive attitude and told 5 days for refund. I then asked for my order to be delivered again as we wanted the food not the refund. They would only deliver the pizza again. Not the sides that were inedible. Such a shame as papa johns was good previously. I will now go to another establishment without question!

Pizza was unfortunately the worst pizza I've had in years. No pizza sauce Paid extra for cheese base - that was missing Paid extra for Italian sausage - 3 pieces on the pizza Asked for the bacon to be swapped to chicken- didn't happen Barely any cheese on the pizza. Wasn't worth £26 😕😪

I haven’t had a Papa Johns for years and was really craving one tonight. When I saw the reviews on here I didn’t know whether to order. I’m so glad I gave it a chance (due to the 40% discount) it arrived 10 mins early, piping hot and delicious. It was a super pizza. Really enjoyed it. Thanks.

Great pizza - best we’ve had delivered this year. Really can’t fault the food. It was great. BUT the food took 1 hour and 50 minutes to arrive from when we ordered it - and when it was delivered the tub of Ben and Jerrys ice cream was so soft you could pour it out.

great pizza.. when it arrives! have ordered twice in the last 6 weeks or so and on both occasions the delivery took an hour and a half to arrive. had to heat the pizza up in our oven at home as it arrived cold because the order took so long to deliver

I've not had Papa John's for a long time. that is definitely not how I remembered it. I can get better food from a back street kebab house for half the price!

Ordered through Just Eats. I never even got my food!!! They are refusing to give my money back!!! We got an advanced delivery for 9pm, it never arrived, we messaged at 9.15pm, they said it was due at 9.35pm. We called again at 10pm, they said it was 5 minutes away, at 10.30, they wanted us to go collect the food as the driver was pulled over for not having his car insured!!!! We said we weren't able to as my mum has had a drink so legally couldn't drive, and I was up to my ears in work!!!! They said I would get a refund and this morning I have had a text saying that they are not giving my money back!!!! I have all the phone records and messages as proof!!! Give me my money back!!!! Never EVER I am going ordering from here!!!!

Terrible service, the food was very late, 2hrs and 40min from time of order. It took 2 chasing calls, and the order had to be recooked. When it finally arrived the order was incorrect - cheese added to a pizza for a lactose intolerant diner! I called back to ask for a refund to be told only the manager could process one. I asked to talk to the manager, to be told he was on a delivery and they would print the receipt for him. They then hung up. Not hopeful of the refund being processed either. Had an issue with a previous order where the payment glitched and I got charged twice. Reported this to the restaurant and was told the same thing, the manager will process etc, but never saw a refund.

I had a bad experience with this branch around 8 months back where I was charged twice due to a glitch with the bank payment verification. I was told I’d be refunded, but this never happened. We avoided using them for a long time due to this, but my son is lactose intolerant and it’s one of the few places that had reliably delivered pizza with no cheese, so tonight we decided to give them another go. Ordered two pizza’s at 7. Waited 90 minutes then called to chase up and was told they were out for delivery and would be with us in 10 minutes. Half an hour later called again to be told that the delivery had gone to the wrong address. They then said they would re-cook the order and send it out in 15 minutes. Half an hour later (roughly 2hrs and 40min from order time) the order was delivered, but was incorrect. They had added cheese onto my sons custom order which had specifically had cheese removed. I called to insist on a refund, to be told they would talk to the manager, as only he could process a refund. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told he was on a delivery and they would print the receipt for him. They then hung up. This used to be a fantastic place, but it’s definitely lost it’s way!

Massively overpriced, poor quality food and very late, I had to call the restaurant to find out where it was. I’ll never order from them again, dreadful.

Given original delivery time of 30 minutes which I thought was fast, but that rapidly changed to 40 minutes-60 minutes. Actual delivery time was one hour and 25 minutes past the scheduled delivery times. Pizza was very good except for being very lukewarm. My first time I tried papa johns was also my last. Not recommended!

We've been ordering here since they opened in Pontefract but was really let down last night. They are usually on top of our custom orders and we have no issues but last night we ordered at half 6, we didn't receive our order until around 8 o clock. The order was incorrect and they put real cheese on 2 vegan pizza's. So we had to call back and have them switched, we're told they would have the correct pizzas with us in half hour, we didn't receive them til around 9 o clock and honestly the pizzas we did receive were smaller than usual and poorly made. No apology given to us either. We were ordering from them bi-weekly at least but think we might have to start ordering elsewhere. Sorry guys but really let down by this!

Ordered just before 4pm for collection at 4:45. We arrived on time but needed to wait a further 5 min until the food was given which I'd say is acceptable. The place was very clean and staff were quiet but functional. Food was hot and not greasy like other well-known pizza places. Customised pizza was made exactly as specified. Cheesy garlic sticks weren't very garlic heavy but still good. Garlic sauce is very buttery (will use as garlic butter as too overpowering as a dip for my tastes).

Good quality food, proper size extras on biger order. Really tasty and fairly quick delivery. Unfortunately abit pricey. 20pounds for a pizza is just not fair. Other places offer exactly same qualities in terms of food and deliveries for half the price.

Mostly annoyed cause the driver refused to enter the high-rise claiming he's not allowed to so I had to hobble outside with a broken foot when I've been advised to rest. Please do not order from here if you are a vegetarian or vegan went to order food as we had been in pontefract hospital for 5 hours and me my wife and my two children were really hungry orders the food I ordered two pizzas cheese and tomato and a garden pizza stuffed crust was told it would take 15 mins so I waited inside as the gent was prepping the bases a lady was doing the topping from my knowledge it was a meat fest the lady picked the meat up with her hand no gloves moved down the prep station to cheese used the same hands moved onto the veg with the same hands to the point I had to say something I asked do they have a separate section for vegans or vegetarian people his reply was no I was like what are us vegetarian and vegan meant to do he like I don’t no so I asked for a refund as I wasn’t gonna go against my beliefs so please please avoid and think twice as it may say vegetarian and vegan it’s not

I have been wanting to order from here for months now and finally yesterday evening the opportunity arose and we were not disappointed in the slightest. We order 3xxl pizzas, it was £33 not a bad price at all and when we received our order we were more than happy to pay that price. The delivery was so quick and the driver was lovely, really smiley and we had a little giggle with him. The food was beautiful, the pizzas looked so good and tasted lovely. They were still steaming!!! The only thing I would change would be maybe a little more sauce on the base but it did not spoil anything. The flavours were incredible. The garlic sauce which came with each pizza was basically garlic butter so we've saved it for a home made garlic bread another day, it was too much to have with a pizza. Myself and my family absolutely loved the pizzas 100% and we will most definitely be ordering again, I think my eldest will be too, we sent her a picture of the pizza, she was blown away.
