Great service, super fast, everything perfect and really pleasant staff and deliverers!

Food did not arrive. Gave them 90mins before I called as was a Saturday evening and thought they might be busy. Someone eventually answered the phone and told me no delivery driver came to pick up the pizza order.....I had definitely paid for delivery and no one had contacted me to tell me there was an issue. I asked for a refund on the phone as I no longer wanted the pizza, to which they answered yes and then I tried to asked how long the refund would take and theh hung up on me. I tried to call back but no there was answer. I proceeded to order pizza from another restaurant, picked them up and eat them back at home THEN got a knock at the door and the delivery driver had the papa johns pizza. He was overly friendly and it was difficult to explain to him that I had called and asked for a refund on these pizzas an hour ago (it now being 2 and half hours after I ordered them). He thought this was an excellent outcome for me as I now would have a refund and the pizzas. I reluctantly took the pizza as he didn't seem to understand, he took my picture holding them and left. The pizzas were luke warm and I assume had been made 2 hours before, plus I had already eaten my pizzas from the other restaurant at this point too. I haven't had a refund yet and will NEVER be ordering from that store again. If they can't deliver the pizzas they should take that option off the website ASAP. Ruined our evening to be honest.

Very poor service. Food still not arrived after 2 hours. Tried ringing multiple times and I can audible hear the phone be put down. When they finally could be bothered to answer, the guy told me the food has been ready for ages they are just waiting on a driver. Did he think that was going to fill me with confidence knowing it had been left on the side for probably an hour? As the time was 15 mins until the store was due to close i asked if the food was definitely going to arrive, and he said “try again next time” and hung up. I appreciate they might be busy but how hard is it to apologise and give a rough ETA. Update-the food never arrived

Cold, very late pizza. Very few toppings. Dry. Apparently it was such an inconvenience that I have an apostrophe in my legal name. Their systems can’t handle it. The pizza had to be made again but clearly wasn’t. Avoid.

Been a loyal customer for 5+ years and the past 5 orders they messed up my order and I apologise for extra toppings what I never got on the pizza and the past 5 orders I asked for bbq drizzle and never got bbq drizzle on the pizza and it says in the label ob the side of the box add bbq drizzle like how they can mess up and not the the bbq drizzle on the pizza when it come up on the screen what they read and the label what says bbq drizzle on and they don't put it on it beyond me then I call up and complain the delivery man (Dave) says to me you know what don't bother ordering from here again the cheek from him when they are the ones messing up the order and charging people extras without adding the extras I won't order from here again !

ordered a delivery which came cold from a just eat delivery person even though I ordered direct which probably explains why it was cold. My pizza had no cheese on it and the order of dough balls I could fit in my hand. Went down to the branch to ask if they thought it was acceptable couldn't give me an answer and asked if I wanted vegan ice cream as a 'sorry'. What the hell has happened at this branch will not be using again! Papa John would be livid!

Philly cheesesteak pizza is lovely. You cannot order in store so only through the Papa John's App.

Unfortunately you have to give at least 1 star for the review to be valid. We ordered and were phoned 50 mins later to say delivery wasn't possible as they had a shortage of drivers. Then told if we could pick up then delivery fee would be refunded and free drinks added. We said we didn't want drinks as we had already ordered and paid for some. We drove to get the order and asked three times what our house number was and after some confused looks between staff members we were given food and we went home. When we got home, we found we'd been given the wrong order and had to drive back. When we eventually got home with the right order (and 3 small bottles of pepsi which we told them we didn't want) the food was stone cold and we are still waiting for our delivery fee to be refunded. It was an absolute farce and extremely annoying, even more so when you're starving and only trying to order a pizza.

After being a loyal customer for years, never again. The order was late, pizza arrived cold and congealed. The potato tots went straight in the bin after finding a dead moth in them. The delivery guy even had the cheek to ask if he could photograph the delivery.

Love the Pizza here but the side dishes let it down. The Bebington branch never seems to have the no chicken vegan bites anymore.

Always love ordering from here, food is always decent, never have to wait to long either

Food arrived cold, a box was smashed and quality was awful. Driver was lazy. Originally the guy refused a refund as I didn't want to wait another 30m for bad food, he then said a driver will come collect the food first before I get a refund, low and behold no driver has showed up. I have had to do a charge back, won't be coming back, it was a Wednesday as well so not exactly peak.

I don't like the way they say delivered on the app 30 minutes before it arrives, are they lying to avoid HQ telling them off for poor delivery times??

Ordered a steak and cheese Quesadilla hardly any filling was more of a burnt tortilla Absolutely shocking.

Ordered pizza on the website, then received a phone call from a very rude, unapologetic member of staff saying they could not deliver cos no driver. Still waiting for refund. Will be writing to the company. Not in my nature to complain but this place is a total disgrace. Avoid

Rediculous how we are now in June 2022 and this shop will still not allow you to pay in cash because of COVID restrictions. Expect you to travel home and get your card. Not going to happen, so expect they've just thrown pizza away instead of selling it to me for cash

Ordered double pepperoni and I’ve seen more meat on a butchers pencil. One slice of pepperoni per slice of pizza should be considered a human rights violation. The other pizza looked like it had gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson before being spun in a dryer for ten minutes.

Ordered 3 times from here and got an incorrect item every time! My most recent order was wrong just because an item was out stock, yet they didn't bother to call me and ask what I would like as a replacement. The other reviews about the staff being rude are spot on, the guy on the phone is very unapologetic and doesn't care because he is "very busy with 300 customers", well now he has one less customer. I'm still waiting for a refund I was promised! Its a shame this branch is run by a rude person who lacks common business sense because I really like Papa Johns. Even if they could do basics like give you the correct order, the food quality here isn't as good as your usual Papa Johns, a person I live with won't eat from here but will happily eat at other locations. Do yourself a favour and avoid!

Not enjoyable whatsoever! Had the spicy veggie pizza which contained jalapeno and I'm presuming they are stored in vinegar as that's all I could taste. Was thrown together blindfolded too by the look it. Though I'd try this place but won't be doing it again.

First time ever I have thrown away a pizza meal. The potato things were stuck to the paper in the box by cheese burned to black and they were like sponge box fillers. The food was cold overcooked with texture like leather. Had to phone to chase delivery and then Inedible. No refunds! Ordered online. NEVER AGAIN

***UPDATE: Thanks for all the efforts for fixing this below, food replacement and missing parts of the order arrived too. Different delivery guy, but pizza was hot and yummy **** Not sure what's gone on today in the Bebington store, just had to send the delivery driver back with my pizza as it was cold already, missing half the order too. Tried calling the store but no answer. Not the delivery drivers fault really, he was kind enough to apologise for the short staff and wait and unfortunately has no way of processing refunds. He did offer a replacement but I could see he was in a rush, No idea whether I'll get a replacement tonight or a refund. Never had an issue until tonight with this store before and understand staffing issues can happen. I'll update the review in time depending on what happens.

We have always liked Papa John's, but food and service levels have dropped recently. Let the last couple of poor orders slide as "one offs" but this evening, pizza came late,it was the wrong order, delivery guy had rushed off so phoned the store, they were rude but said they would fix it after I phoned a second time, five minutes later delivery guy came back to take wrong order away, another five minutes later he called again with cold, partially eaten pizza. Phoned the shop again, rude service again but they said they would make another order and send out, still waiting after over an hour and a half later, they could be busy but you would expect them to want to rectify the issues quickly. Just phoned again they again said they would make another order and send out, have asked for a refund instead. The partially eaten pizzas barely had any toppings on and didn't get within 2inches of the edge. May still order from Papa john's but collect from a different store as this one has gone seriously downhill.

Not very nice, was ment to be stuffed crust also not hot was warm, and ment to have extra pepperoni just all round let down. For the price as well not cheap

Sadly I was wrong. I ordered a Mexican pizza. This pizza had very little it any ground beef. All I could taste was pickled onion. I managed two slices and that was enough. Good point was the delivery driver was very polite.

I used to order from them all the time and give a very decent tip. But they started to abuse that privilege I ended up with longer wait times and with inadequate service. So to whoever this may concern tip bare minimum and don't order from them too frequently.....!!!!!

This place makes fantastic pizza! The company's menu is great anyway, but this branch consistently delivers genuinely well-made food that you can tell they're careful with, making sure it's of a really high standard; and it always arrives hot/warm, and delivered by friendly and polite folks. In the few years that I've been regularly ordering from them, only one order has been in any way questionable, and they fixed it right away, without issue. Highly recommended!

Had my very first cheese n bacon strips and a garlic bread one and it was very nice,just wish we had one near us

I use this store quite a lot the food is amazing and the staff are super friendly especially Katie who welcomes you with a great smile every time.

Ordered as a treat and it was anything but. Had to cook the pizzas when they got here as they were raw dough. Pigs in blankets were utterly repulsive, cauliflower wings were rock hard and they didn’t bother to send the dip which for £5 for a bit of battered cauliflower is not unreasonable to expect. Chicken wings didn’t taste like they were cooked so went uneaten along with the garlic bread. Brownie was rock hard and almost broke our teeth. And no peppers with the pizzas like they used to send. All in all an utter waste of money and a real disappointment.

Ordered a pizza for a friend, confirmation and order number received. Money taken from account. Friend rings 1hr later, they tell her ‘system crashed’ so no pizza. Money will be refunded in FIVE DAYS! Personally during a pandemic they keep your money for up to ‘five working days’ and then you hope they’ll give it to you back without fuss is absolutely remarkable. I mean surely this is wrong in so many ways. They cancel then keep your money. I sent money to a business by PayPal, bank transfer and it gets there straight away BUT not with PaoaJohns it’s seems - they believe it’s acceptable to keep your money for ‘five working days’ oh and they deal with your complaint in ‘seven working days’ There are other pizza shops on the Wirral.......

The pizza Papa John's really in truly been worst pizza in my life. Im so disappointed!!! After my ordering, pizza arrived after 1 hour later and trust me, pizza been so cold so even my microwave doesn't will help !!! I order as well garlic sauce, please have look what they send me!!!! Propably make it in microwave, and doesn't went around garlic :D :D

Had to wait 15 minutes on arrival at the shop, after the website alerted me that the pizza was ready to collect.

Stores opened at 12 o’clock. Been trying to ring up to cancel my order since open. Rang over 20 times no answer had to ring another store so they could sort the cancellation. Nobody was working at the store to answer the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. Never ever going again. Stick with dominos!

Last 3 times I have ordered they always miss the dips that I have paid extra for. Completely ruins the experience. I can understand once, but 3 times... no refund for the missing dips offered. Just that they would deliver more in 30 minutes (whe my pizza would be stone cold)

It took over 3 hours for my order to arrive.Rang the restaurant 3 times, on each occasion the employee told me it will be there in a minute.Gave up once the restaurant closed at 11PM and made a case with PayPal.Gone 11.30PM my order arrived cold and soggy.Had to resolve my claim with PayPal.All this for a pizza, so much stress and worry. I should sue your company for negligence. What a ridiculous experience for ordering one pizza. Never again in my life will I be ordering from such a poorly run establishment. No communication from any of the staff making the food, and the delivery driver looked like he couldn't be bothered

Never again, unbelievable didn't answer phone, site didn't mention any delays, and food cold!! Never again, be warned they don't apologise, they don't deliver in anything under an hour! DO NOT use and be burnt like us, extremely disappointed!

Absolutely garbage, £25 for 2 pizzas with hardly any toppings... just all dough.... chicken cold and garlic bread again with very little apart from dough.... Apparently it was half price... !!

Very nice pizza - Papa John is also such a lad. It is a shame that the staff are obtuse and weak.

The portions were big and the staff were very friendly. We also were treated with some nice liquor made by the owner. Definitely recommend if you are staying by the coast.

Waited 1 hour for delivery. Pizza was wrong so phoned straight away. Promised replacement. Called twice more to see where it was. Arrived as I was cancelling it. It was aired not classed as warn even. I only live 15 mins drive away from the shop. Disappointing!

Used to love pizzas from Bebington Papa John's but they seem to be cutting corners. Ordered an XXL American hot but it was mostly pizza dough. Not impressed. Will think twice before ordering again.

I had a takeaway from the new Shirley branch a few weeks ago. I asked if the chicken was halal and I was told it is so I ordered tandoori chicken pizza and chicken poppers. Today I called to place an order and said I would like a tandoori chicken, confirmed with him it was halal. He told me non of the chicken is halal. I am disgusted with this as I was given the wrong information. I spoke to the manager today and when I told me what had happened he had absolutely nothing to say!!!!

Dissapointed ordered a couple of pizzas dead early, deliberately so they'd arrive at a reasonable time. So this would mean it's not at a busy time, but yet again they've taken over an hour to arrive, no apology, and no offer of additional extras for the inconvenience! Give up with them, they used to be good, but now they just take way too long to deliver.Speed up your process, there is no reason to be this slow, and throw an extra in if you're going to take over an hour!!

Just can't seem to grasp a delivery system. After an hour still hadn't done anything at all... Then asked would I like to wait for express delivery of 30-40 minutes. Idiot!!

I placed an online order and I ordered a double pepperoni and spinach pizza. When I placed the order I immediately called the store to ensure that I placed my order correctly with the double pepperoni and spinach on thin crust. I was told yes it was correct. When my pizza arrived, the pizza did not have double pepperoni. I then called the store back, and the 1st person I talked to was a regular team member. I explained to him what was wrong with the pizza and asked him since I paid a delivery fee and they made a mistake on my pizza if they could please remake my pizza the correct way and re-deliver the pizza as a courtesy for my inconvenience. I also told him I would return the wrong pizza. He then told me that he would have to let me speak with the manager because he could not make that happen without manager approval. So a woman came to the phone and I explained the issue to her and she told me that they refuse to deliver the pizza and that if I wanted the pizza remade I have to come into the store to receive it even though I paid a delivery charge already. The problem was I am babysitting my infant God son who is sick and I am not able to leave the house that is why ordered delivery in the 1st place. I asked her for the store number and she gave me the number 1030. I then asked for her name as a reference for my call and she refused to give it to me and then proceeded to hang up in my face with my issue unresolved. I will never return to this location, and I am really sad to know that MANAGERS with such little training in customer service have been chosen to represent this company as this is a poor representation of an otherwise decent company. If this is the type of management that is being hired I can no longer give my business or my recommendation for business here and I definitely expect for some type of resolution on the matter still. I have always loved Papa John's and this has always been my favorite pizza place. This is the 1st (and LAST) time that I have and will ever order from this particular location. I have never received such a high level of unprofessionalism from a Papa John's, ever, than what I have received here. It is my consumer opinion that management, at this location should to be retrained and maybe even reconsidered. I was unsatisfied at the way she did not truly try to resolve my issue the right way. At the end of the day, this is a business, and your "leaders" are costing this store revenue. Though I am only one customer, she could have made the experience better and made a repeat customer of me. Who knows how many people she hangs up on or handle situations with nasty attitudes or immature behavior. All customers matter. I have contacted corporate about this matter, and was told they have 48 hours to resolve this issue, or else it will be escalated further. If nothing is done I will not hesitate to escalate.

I called the store to sadly make a complaint that wegdes and garlic bread weren’t cooked or edible, to which the manager told me that it was too bad really because there were ‘free items’ within the meal deal, then when we finally agreed that New wedges would be send out after refusing a refund I put the phone down because the conversation had ended, the manager then called ME back to tell me I had to say sorry for puttting the phone down (even though the conversation had ended so he was saying I needed to have said ‘goodbye’) to which I said to him how dare he ring me up telling me what to do, to which he HUNG UP ON ME! (Please teach your staff the deffinition of being hypercitical) so I tried to ring back as I was outraged at his behaviour, and then continued to hang up on my call! I am outraged and disgusted at the service of the rude and disgraceful staff, especially the manger!!

Ordered a pizza tonight and it was one of the worst pizzas I have ever tried. It was so bland and it looked like they had poured the grease out of the fryer on top of it. I’m sorry to be so harsh but it wasn’t good at all and especially since you get what you pay for, we did not get that! Very disappointing. On the plus side it was hot and delivered quickly.

Having heard a lot of friends rave about them being nicer pizzas decided to give it a go. What a mistake that was, looked lovely, tasted terrible. Sauce pot supplied was vulgar to eat. Won’t be returning, dominoes so much nicer!

Consistently good pizza and always hot check the listing for my photo of two large pizzas £18. Ordering online takes 30 mins not 15 mins.

Decided to have a bank holiday treat. Unfortunately the pizza and sides I ordered were bland. The pizza dough was nasty. And the sides were tiny portions for the price and not cooked through. Could throw the potato wedges through a window! Unimpressed

Ordered a pizza for a night in with my wife, it arrived and when my wife started eating hers there was cheese missing off a third of it. We phone to complain and we're told that if we read the terms and conditions there is a £3 charge to get a replacement. We hung up and my wife ate a bit more of the cheesy bit, we later read the terms and the £3 was if you had collected it we phoned to complain and were told. O we were in the wrong and the manager (Sharon) well that's what we were told hung up when we phoned back again another member of staff answered and said if you have a complaint phone our head office.

My first ever pizza film papa John's was absolutely amazing. Full of flavour and plenty of choice including sides. My only complaint is that its very expensive. Nice friendly staff and a clean and tidy restaurant.

Ordered 2 large pizzas, 2 portions of cheese chilli's and wedges which were excellent. Good quality bases and toppings and the delivery was quick. We paid online, so it as a seemless purchase.

Pizzas here are good, better than dominoes but jury is out re pizza hut. Delivery was prompt too. Only thing that lets them down is the sauce they serve with pizza, its vulgar, like garlic butter but not as pleasant, hence we tend to go to dominoes as sauce is nicer and edible.

10 minutes late, struggled to find my address despite supplying them with a full address and postcode. Driver called me to tell me he was lost. Pizza was nice, but rating low due to the inconvenience of having to direct a delivery driver.

Have started to order from here instead of the other well known pizza shop as we always had problems with them. Papa Johns has never let us down pizzas always arrive hot and exactly what we have asked for and taste great. What more cam you ask for!

Ordered twice from papa johns and the food is always undercooked in my opinion. Its very overpriced swell for the quality, would rather just eat normal take away pizza. Would not order from here again. Staff are always polite.

The pizzas and cheesey garlic bread are lovely, really fresh and tasty. The garlic dipping sauce is awful and is more like a garlic butter but not even a nice garlic butter, it's just wrong!
