This is the best pizza store in town. Every pie seems to be well made, every time I have ordered. Excellent dough, fresh ingredients and well presented. Keep up the good work guys. 🍕🍕🍕

*Updated* Wow has this place gone so down hill... So I'm a regular here and now i wont be coming back now. All the staff have changed from what i can tell no one from the original people from my first 5star review remain. Where do i begin... 😭 so apparently speaking/understanding English has become a difficult task for the person who now works the till/phone, i hate to think the number of incorrect orders he has put through. He's friendly enough but i have had to resort to pointing out what i want on the menu as philly cheesestake with added mushrooms was incomprehensible to him. Other customers in store had same problems. Luckily there was another staff member to translate for him. He had to use his phone to add up my order in front of me, i assume the till is too complicated for him to use. Filled with confidence that my orders are going to be correct 😭 I'm totally sure that's good food hygiene practice... He definitely does not sit on the loo with his phone at break, then handle it whilst prepping food... I'm sure... right.. does he 🤮?? A classic Papa John's sales tactic seems to be now miss off the added item you have paid for. This is like the third time this has happend now. Im guessing they cant read the words on the computer screen that are in English above the prep area. Here is the best part: Another visit ordered my usual with added mushrooms.... ...Had to wait extra long for some reason, confused. I noticed the Guys in the back keep looking at me strangely. finally got my pizza, went to my car opened it up and found to my surprise these s**** had forgotten my mushrooms yet again AND... in an attempt to hide the fact... instead of making it again... (i figured it out why they were all hanging around the conveyor oven and the extra long wait...) ...RUN a handful of mushrooms, i assume in an empty tray through the grill and sprinkled them ontop of the pizza to make it look like it was included. I order the same pizza every week, i know what the pizza looks like, mushrooms go under the cheese... nice try though ... 🤬 so warmish pizza with hot dry mushrooms on top. Threw it in the bin and won't be using PapaJohns again. How to loose customers, have your franchise run by people who dont care. .............. Definitely the best pizza place in Canterbury in my opinion, I find the pizzas are not greasy like most and very enjoyable. I had a chance to chat to a couple of the guys, one of them a fellow iron maiden fan 🤘, really friendly team of guys, oversaw him in the store helping a customer order the pizza they wanted, due to the customer not having English as a first language, they were having difficulties, very patient guy. I spoke to him about the way the pizzas are made to pass the time, told me they use a specific cheese that cuts down on the amount of fat and grease👍. I asked about the medieval looking mace used to roll my pizza base! it helps prevent air bubbles and keeps the pizza even when cooked. Witnessed all fresh ingredients being put on my order, and then the lids being put back on to the containers keep them fresh afterwards. No spray cheese/garlic like others i have seen 🤣 and missed toppings all over the show. Philly cheesestake with added mushrooms is my favourite! Its one of thier current specials. Im not a massive fancy of spicy and hot pizzas so just a good savory pizza does it for me. Papa Johns special garlic sauce is to die for... Absolutely hands down, banging. Forget your mayo, this is what you want to dip in its the worst kept secret in pizzas.

Expect delivery to arrive much later than you would predict, as well as your order to be set to delivered significantly sooner than when it will actually arrive. This has been the case for every order made.

4 SMALL BLACK HAIRS didn't quite make the pizza look appetising. The manager said they would send a driver round to inspect the hairs but we had already put the pizza slices with the hairs on them in the bin and didn't fancy a delivery driver coming round to check our pizzas. Won't be ordering from here again. AVOID

I asked for the "special garlic sauce" to be removed from my order, but instead that still arrived and the "steak" was removed instead. Not a single piece of steak on the entire pizza was a disappointment, especially as every other flavour on the "philly cheese steak" is clearly geared towards complimenting the actual steak pieces. I'm a meat eater, but instead I just had cheese and carbs.

This is our go-to for a takeaway pizza. They don't deliver where we live (not even Uber eats delivers anything though) but if I order on the app before leaving the driveway it's ready by the time I get there. Staff always friendly but only 4 stars for atmosphere because...well...it's a takeaway pizza shop, you don't need atmosphere when all you're doing is picking up pizza to take home to your own atmosphere.

The app claimed the food had arrived when it has not even been delivered yet, nor am i being given updated from the store about my order

It said the food is delivered but I never got a notification.

I ordered a philly cheese steak and there was hardly any steak in it. I called the restaurant to complain and request a refund and was told to contact Just Eat which I've tried to do without success

I love everything about Papa John's Pizza! The food is amazing and always arrives hot, service is quick (always get it delivered in 10-40 min), friendly delivery staff. We ate all the delivered items and forgot to take pics but it was all fantastic! Please note, I only request delivery so have not been in store although I see the restaurant when passing by

I ordered a pizza in the morning for collection the same evening and when I went to collect, after a fair amount of confusion I was told that the order had been cancelled by Papa Johns and my money would be refunded. When I protested that I had not been notified I was told I had and should go home and check again! Apparently I could re-order but would have to pay again and wait for the order to be made up which would take ten to fifteen minutes (while we were parked in a totally unsuitable space as the parking at Papa John in Canterbury is completely inadequate). As I had not taken my purse (having paid earlier I had not thought it would be needed). No apology was given and no solution offered. We will not be using again.

Food did not taste nice when it arrived, ordered cinnamon scrolls and an empty box arrived Strange taste to the pizza which resulted in us eating only a slice or two each Have requested a refund

Delivery time was significantly longer than my usual order from Dominos. The BBQ chicken pizza was over cooked and I didn’t taste any chicken at all. My BBQ sauce that I ordered with the chicken dipper side wasn’t in there, instead there was tomato dip. The Garlic and cheese side was nice, although couldn’t taste any garlic.

Avoid if you can. Order was delivered to the wrong address first and then when they tried a second time it was missing items. They can't offer a refund for their mistakes because of company policy. Poor customer policies unfortunately!

Just eat order. They do very good vegan pizza, cauliflower bites. Drivers are kind. They only thing is items missed and isn't customisable. I don't know how many olives I have to take off the pizza. Its a complete waste.

Terrible pizza, anaemic pale, greasy, bland - no flavour at all. The garlic dip is a vile chemical soup that tastes even worse than it looks and smells. Would be expensive even if it was good. The cheapest supermarket pizza is vastly superior to this. Can’t rightly describe as pizza, it’s barely food. The cinnamon rolls were better, nearly average quality.

Food arrived early and piping hot, very nice

Food was a little late ,but not just that I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for my bottle of drink as the delivery guy forgot it and had to go back to the restaurant to get me one ,by this time I had already eaten my food and wasn't thirsty , and not even a free drink or pudding to say sorry 😯

The pizza was cold and really not very nice, it had clearly been thrown all over the place in the box as when I opened it it was completely mangled.

Tasty early now for the bad bit double ordered first time then in panic cancelled the order during chat was advised I would not be charged so reordered done it right this time checking notifications have been charged for one pizza from the first cancelled order now to get my money back watch this space

I used to be a regular and this was my go-to pizza place in Canterbury. Good pizzas, arrived in good time with great range of vegan options and deals available. Would still recommend it but would be wary of anything you order that isn't in stock. I ordered a vegan ice cream; they called me and didn't have it stock and offered alternatives. None were vegan so declined. I was offered fizzy drinks instead. I declined as the deal already had some in it. My order arrived with fizzy I didn't ask for and they charged me full cost of the original order. I called them and asked for someone to pick it up. No one came. Papa John's customer service were "very concerned" and refunded me the £3.50. Never using this store again.

The main problem: the pizza was not hot - it was slightly warm. It was limp, not a crisp crust.

Professional service, very easy to use online platform. Pizzas come well done and on time. The special garlic sauce is really nice. Same with the garlic bread though it might be a little oily for some. All in all, best meal to order for those cold evenings when you're too knackered to cook and want some good ole cheesy pizza😊

Charged me for a pizza that never arrived after an hour. I live 500 yards from the store. Manager assured me that the order was cancelled but still charged my paypal account anyways. Awful service.

I love their pizzas, my favorite is the one with pepperoni and feta cheese. And the staff they could get nice people, but as long the food it is good :)
