One pizza, second time getting the order wrong. Only since new owners/management took over! Never had a problem before. Hello Domino's pizza goodbye papa johns

2nd time not understanding the order. The order wasn't difficult, it was one pizza! Useless. Back we go to Domino's!

Much like everyone else we have experienced similar problems. Order through the app, papa johns would accept, wait an hour and a half and then recieve a call that the shop is closed and rider can not collect the food. It's clear they can not fulfill orders and should remove themselves from this service as it seems all bad reviews are related to this. Or perhaps competent managers / staff ?

Big fan of Papa Johns love their pizzas. Herne Bay branch used to be reliable but it seems not any more. Few weeks ago ordered, they turned up completely wrong. Spotted it with the delivery driver who admitted our order had gotten muddled up with his previous drop. By the time it was delivered they were closing so no replacement correct food. Driver took the wrong order away as it was no good for us due to dietary requirements. Had to hassle head office with a complaint for a refund. No apology at all. This weekend we gave them another chance. One of the pizzas was correct on the box label, but completely different pizza inside! Luckily this time it wasn't too late for a replacement to be sent which they did to be fair. But no apologies again. All confidence in this branch has been lost sadly.

I’d avoid, 2nd time in a row the driver has taken over 35 mins to deliver, I had to cancel the order, the man on the phone was rude. The time before the order was late and wrong. Used to be really good here, such a shame. now.

Ordered food at 7pm, tracker said it had arrived at 7.30pm. Called the store, they said to wait, it arrived at 8pm. Vegan pizza which was labelled “Vegan sausage”, covered in chicken. They offered to replaced the pizza when we called just after 8pm. Replacement pizza did not arrive until 9.20pm, granted they gave us 3 free vegan Ice Creams.

Awful awful place. Needs to be sorted out and have someone take control of it. Constantly cancel orders. No apology. Take your money then need to wait a few days for refund. Place is filthy and no care for food safety. Just don’t waste your time. I hope someone from their head office actually take note. Been like this a looooooong time. A real discredit to the brand

Awfully priced, service is shocking they never have the same staff there long enough. Maybe an issue with pay or conditions. I was left 25 minutes for my pizza whilst it was sat in front of me in a box ready.

Don’t out bbq sauce on bbq pizza don’t see point in advertising it

Ordered a pizza at 6:20pm.. and by 9pm it still wasn’t with me. I ended up phoning and asking for a refund and seeing how everyone else has gone through the same as me it seems looking at the reviews on here & just eat I don’t know how they are in business still?? The man on the phone said I would get a refund in a couple of days, I hope that’s the case! Basically just avoid as your pizza will never turn up!

What has happened to my local pizza delivery? Was so good, never late and always turned up fresh and hot. Really terrible last two times. Delivery guys turned up looking so stressed as if under pressure, or maybe just under staffed. I've now gone to Dominoes but not as good deals but least I don't have to waits 2 hours for it to turn up. Sad.

We tend to only order from Papa Johns when getting a takeaway pizza because it’s the best pizza and never had any problems until now. Rang at 7:25 for an order to be delivered. Man on the phone said it would be 30/45 mins. After 1.5 hours, rang up to chase up to be told “the reason it’s late is because we like our food to be hot and fresh when it comes to you, the driver is leaving in 5 minutes” After 2 hours rang to complain and that by this point we just want to cancel and get a refund. To be told “You can’t get a refund” and were hung up on. Rang them back and was this time told we can have a refund. Food arrives and it is cold. Extremely disappointed. This happened on the 26/05 and still haven’t received a refund after calling multiple times to be told the refund is on its way. Won’t be ordering again.

Canceled my order just because they didn't have beans instead of giving me an alternative poor service.

Visited last week. Was unable to order from app, unable to pay card and unable to use Web deals. Cook stood outside smoking and fly trap in kitchen looked to be over flowing

Ordered online and still currently waiting for my £40 worth of food and drink. Waited an hour before checking the online tracker which was still on ‘making your order’ and decided it was time to call the restaurant. I phoned 4 times with no answer. There is no one else to contact, no head office etc… I do not know where to get a refund from or who to contact as the email confirmation says to contact their phone line which they are clearly not bothered about answering. Ridiculous. Might as well just shut down at this point if you don’t want to make the orders you receive or answer the phone to receive orders or feedback. Just awful, I feel sorry for this company as this particular branch is letting you down greatly. Update: Been to the store to find it CLOSED! How are you expecting to run a business by allowing people to order from you when you aren’t even open?! It is 2pm on a Wednesday, who is this management and can we get them some training please?!

Wait. Wait. Wait. Lie after lie. Time ticking by. Ordered delivery but was called to say I can only collect. Quoted 35 - 40 mins. Went there 45 mins later, pizzas not ready but are supposedly in the oven. It is now 15 minutes later and I'm still waiting. If they've been in the oven that long they're gonna be burnt. Never again.

Ordered at 18:40. They called me to say they could not deliver so can I collect? Not much choice as I had already paid. Told 35 - 40 mins. Got to takeaway at 19:40, told it was in oven. Still waiting. If they didn't have my money I would walk out. I will never use again. They should be providing a service but seem to think they are doing us a favour. Vote with your feet and try ANYWHERE else.

Ordered a pizza (in the delivery time period) my slot was booked for 11.30pm-11.50pm. We waited til 12.30ish and our food still hadn’t arrived. Wrote an email to just eat and called the store this morning and they just said “we will send you a refund” no apology whatsoever! Won’t be ordering from here again!

Absolutely awful pizzas ! Collected them and they weren’t cooked at all . You would pick a slice up and all the topping would fall off ! Myself and partner have been unwell all the last night due to this food ! Not happy and won’t be using again .

excellent service and pizzas were hot and really tasty - they called me to let me know they needed to amend my order slightly and apologised and the young lady i spoke with was a delight to talk to - very impressed and will order again Thumbs up from us 😊😊😊😊

Pick up your tasty medium sized pizza from Papa John's for just £5.99, can't go wrong.

Over cooked underneath and had a long hair inside.

Delivery always on time, pizza always to good quality and even when I made error in my order just called them up. They sorted my issue quickly and politely with great customer service.

Order from Papa John's pretty frequently. On occasion a delivery may take a bit longer than normal but it always arrives hot. Prices are pretty good with deals or voucher codes etc.

Ordered for delivery and after 45 minutes and no food rang to chase it up?... Apparently ALL of order was ready but they couldn't get it delivered to me for 45 mins!! So said we would pick it up but then told to give them 15 mins?...Went to collect it after 15 mins to be told they were really busy and would be another 10 minutes before it was ready?! So it wasn't ready then! Absolute web of lies! JUST TELL THE TRUTH YOU FORGOT!!!! Whilst collecting heard a telephone call with another potential customer and the excuse was that they had not got enough staff and we're really busy???? A bottle of coke was offered as a sorry? Not really good enough! This food better be worth the wait! I'll let you know!

I’m leaving another review because things seems to have improved since last year. A decent amount of toppings on the pizza. Delivery in just under 30 minutes

First time ordering from papa John's via the website.. at the end it said i could claim back £7 off my next order and then the webpage failed and I am 7nabke to get the offer. Shame.

Just horrid. Bases were doughy and raw. Cheese barely melted, what little there was. Sides were small and expensive. Cookie was the only saving grace. Don’t bother. Place is filthy too.

Originally typed a bad review but deleted it as I have to praise Papa Johns for their customer service. Our order arrived late and cold. Returned the order and made a complaint at about 20:15 today. By 20:30 I had somebody from customer services phone me to discuss and provide a genuine reason for the poor delivery. That's what I call customer service. Well Done !!

4 tiny pieces of beef on this XXL pizza! We ordered the garden party pizza and paid £1.50 extra for spicy beef topping. Who adds these toppings? Do a better job! Not worth £21. Never again!

I had a half and half pizza it was presented well. The young man who answered the phone was so helpful professional and polite. We will definately be using them again

I ordered a pizza at 20.11 started calling at 21.05 then again at about 21.20 eventually they told me be another 20 min I stopped using Papa Johns in the summer last year because of this they offered me a free pizza when I tried to order it apparently I needed to spend another £14 to get delivery. Go to Dominos there pizzas are delivered quickly and always hot

Messed my order up by delivering it to the wrong address after I told them I was collecting it !!!

I've ordered from papa John's a few times before.. tonight's order wasn't quite as expected.. The tandoori chicken pizza had hardly any chicken the potato tots they were cold and the cinnamon scrolls had no icing as seen in picture when ordered. Was just over an hrs wait from when I oreded the food to be delivered. Overall quite disappointed

It's good I guess I lost the first one last time but the last one was just a couple more 5 than the one first thing I have did it in the a few few days before the last first one was a going to the first one I had to get in to the cinema with the correct name of the fourth year and the rest of the fourth son in the league of football league won the first round of the season with me and today having I have think that it would make sense of all the people I have won by far from what I know the app my mate uses it its called followers or subscribers or not even though I have been trying it on YouTube but it seems like a good idea

We ordered pizzas online, to collect (because we were in a hurry) and they were ready in 15 minutes. Easy to park outside.

I have been a loyal customer of Papa Johns for some time. Mainly because my son loves the chocolate cookie. Which I may add usually arrives burnt. The last, at least 4 times I have ordered, something has been missing (when I called they accused me of not ordering the items even though they were on the confirmation) and I have paid extra for extra toppings on more than one occasion not to get them. Absolutely wont be wasting my money on them again. Over priced, poor quality and even worse customer service!

Service was terrible try it yourself and waste your money. I would not bother as you have a dominos down the road in herne bay and they do great pizzas. The food was off or not right it tasted bad and I don't think I saw any staff member wash their hands. Bad atmosphere with rude staff. Best thing was the dip worst was it all went in the bin. Dominos from now on

One day they will deliver on time and the food will be hot. Their Pizzas are nice once they turn up and after they’ve been reheated. However are they worth the wait or is it just a case of being hungry when they eventually arrive? I would steer clear of the chicken sides though as they have on occasion just went straight to the bin due to the temperature.

Pizza luke warm, wedges like ice cubes and the big cookie dry and very over cooked was like chewing on a rock

Awful service from this place the staff that take the orders are clearly incompetent, I have never once had an order from there that's not had something wrong with it, staff on the phone never want to take ownership for their mistakes always blaming other employees and don't want to know when you're not happy, food is always nice just a shame that the people who you speak to on the phone no nothing about customer service

I needed to order pizzas for a company lunch meeting at short notice. We’d had a very bad experience with Dominoes so I chose Papajohns as I’d tried them in the States. The service was excellent as too was the delivery and food. The order was turned around very quickly - by Dean who was working alone - to provide us with 8 large pizzas and sides. Great service and food - recommended. Thanks Dean! 👍

Ordered a takeaway and amazed by the poor quality. The thin and crispy pizza was soggy. BBQ chicken side didn't taste of BBQ and had hardly any chicken. The wedges were undercooked and no flavour. The chicken poppers were nice BUT £6.99 for the amount of wedges and chicken poppets is shocking!

Pretty standard Papa John's. Not much else to say. Food was ready on time for collection.

Ordered from Papa John's last night. Purchased online, order arrived quickly, actually preferred it over Dominoes. All the meats pizza was very very good. Delivery driver was nice and friendly. Will definitely use them again.

I called them cause I wanted a pizza, They sell them, the bloke took my order and payment. The pizza arrived. John Schmatta did not deliver it though.

I'm usually one to order a takeaway pizza - they are usually incredibly expensive and underwhelming. My experience with PJ was exactly that - The ordering process was confusing and kinda felt like walking down the street in Egypt 'Do you want this' 'Try this' 'This is what you want/need' - But I managed to find a 50% deal which kind of resurrected my enthusiasm for the order. The food arrived very quickly but was of rather poor standard - Base of the pizza was burnt and the rest was cold. The chicken wings were nicely seasoned but cold and a bit suspect (If it's got tendons I don't want to know) and the jalapeno cheese bites were cold and sloppy not crisp and hot as you would hope. The drink I ordered 'Diet Coke' was delivered as full sugar 7up which is no good as I have a diabetic family member who had to go thirsty.I did make a formal complaint to PJ only to have to wait 7 days to get a resolution which was a derisory 'Free side and apology' apparently if you don't address the situation on the spot then you receive no decent customer aftercare. Having said that I did call the restaurant only to be answered by what sounded like a group of young girls laughing their heads off and telling me that they were out of diet coke and had been for a while. Overall food was poor but delivered promptly, customer service equally poor - If anyone wants a code for a free side; give me a shout because I certainly will not be returning! It appears that this branch may have daddy issues.

We ordered our first order today on home delivery got totally the wrong pizza so my niece and nephew had to wait another half an hour for theres very poor I will be going back to pizza direct far better service very disappointing

I have use Papa John's several times since they opened in Herne Bay and their pizzas are extremely good, but their service had been allowed to slide.

Food arrived at the time we had specified and it was piping hot. We'd ordered the chicken BBQ and garden party pizzas, both were delicious as were the garlic knots and potato wedges, with a drink as well and all for £20 with an offer it was great value too

This pizza takeaway was recommended to us by a neighbour. Very fast delivery and the food was super hot. We had the half and half pizza (two pizzas in one) and I can recommend the Mexican and the ham and pineapple. Both very tasty with plenty of toppings. It is worthwhile checking out the special offers on the web site or app. Points can be collected towards a free pizza!

Having recently moved to Herne Bay Papa John's is a new experience for us. We have used the home delivery service twice and it was on time and hot. The cinnamon flavoured dessert is definitely worth a try.

Delivery driver must be dyslexic, the food turned up 30 minutes late, cold, and the driver had been looking for us in Reculver Road, not Reculver Drive as per the delivery docket.

I ordered a papa johns after receiving a BOGOF offer, thank goodness it was £18 for a pizza is a bit rich for me. The pizzas are very lack lustre with toppings. It was boring & not very tasty I wouldn't bother using them again.

Not sure if this was just bad luck, I noticed that Papa John's had recently opened in Herne Bay so thought seeing as I had never tried Papa John's before I'd give it a go.

Staff were efficient and friendly, both in the store and when delivering . Speedy service and te spicy sausage pizza was delicious, don't generally like Pizza but this is good ! Oh and the garlic sauce mmm , will be going back soon .

Lovely pizza and Garlic bread pizza. Very quick on delivery, nice friendly delivery driver. Good deals available too.
