I recently had the pleasure of visiting Papa John's in Chippenham, and I must say it was an outstanding experience! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and exceptional hospitality from the staff. A special shoutout to Chandan, who went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. Chandan’s friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and genuine care for the customers truly set this place apart. Whether it was helping us choose the best pizza combinations or making sure everything was served fresh and hot, Chandan’s service was impeccable. The pizza itself was, of course, delicious—classic Papa John’s quality with a perfect balance of flavors and a wonderfully crisp crust. But what really made our visit memorable was the exceptional customer service. If you're in Chippenham and craving some great pizza, I highly recommend stopping by Papa John's. And if you're lucky enough to be served by Chandan, you're in for a treat! This place doesn’t just serve pizza; it offers an experience that will keep you coming back for more. Five stars all the way!

Extremely long wait times. They mark the delivery as completed at least 20 minutes before it arrives. Called to ask when the food will be here was told 10 minutes. Called again 15 minutes later to be told it's just left and will be 3 minutes. When it does finally arrive it's cold and the order is wrong. Complete waste of time. There needs to be tighter rules and regulations on these franchises.

My delivery was marked as delivered but arrived 25 mins after being marked as 'delivered'. When I called to find out more details or if they were having issues locating me the staff were rude and spoke over me I was barely able to get a word in and then when I called back to complain again and ask where my order was they hung up on me! They lied to me repeatedly about the delivery times and when the order had left the shop, as they kept contradicting themselves. They said they accidentally marked it as delivered but this happens on every order so must be a tactic they use to make thier stats look good. It took a hour to get the pizza. Food was cold when it arrived and the cauliflower wings were mostly uncooked cauliflower stalk, and tata tots were raw, completely inedible

After waiting waiting for so long we finally received our food only to have over cooked hard chewy pizza you can barely eat

Ordered 2 different pizzas through Uber Eats but received two of the same and they even over-wrote the receipt on the system. We are one vegetarian and one meat-eater so would never miss-order two meat pizzas. We tried to check the order and the receipt didn't show the details and was clearly in process of re-writing it. I am sure that Uber Eats can see the amendment made from the shop end on the system, if they investigate. We should've checked the tripadvisor review before placing order. We never use them again.

I placed the order at 10 in the evening, it was supposed to arrive at 11:30, but it arrived tomorrow at 11:00

I have had pizza from Papa John's in the past and they were okay Tonight I had chicken Barbecue and bacon pizza, garlic bread. The garlic bread was okay, the pizza was really awful, shameful to be honest NO finesse. Just barbecue sauce chucked over a pizza base, tiny amount of chicken and bacon no peppers or onion and totally tasteless 18.00 Would I go back. Never

Ordered a large double pepperoni with extra mozzarella cheese and extra bacon and extra spicy beef. I had 4 bits of pepperoni no bacon and no mozzarella and no beef so a basic large pepperoni with none of the extras ordered. First time they have messed up so will try again once more and see what happens. 🤷‍♂️

As ever over 25 minutes late and cold. Claimed to have called but they did not and they make things up when you call them. Last time I am ordering from them.

Waited about 2hours for my food to be delivered because apparently there's lots of traffic due to roadworks which is understandable however when I called papa johns the person I spoke with was really rude. When I finally received my pizza the delivery guy didn't apologise or anything he just legit threw the food and drink at me and run. The food was cold...

The driver was early and was very rude! He had to phone me as I hadnt arrived home yet, which was why I stated 22.45 and not as soon as possible. I was only 2 minutes away and apologised when I arrived. At this point the app was still showing an estimated time of 22.50! No need to be rude and ignorant!

Wrost and bad service. Late delivery and have to wait for like 2 hours for food to be delivered. And the store didnt receive call as well.

I placed order at 1800hrs and received my order at 2030hrs and what was funny was they even didnt deliverd my Two pepsi max as well. Worst service ever.

Awful pizzas, arrived late and cold. Complained to the restaurant and was told they would redo the order and gave me a delivery time. That came and went. Called again and was informed that they could not send out the order without manager approval, whom apparently had the night off.. utter nonsense

Papa John's are usually good but today it was delivered late, driver refused to come through gate to front door and phoned me. Also missing dips.

Two hours late, stone cold and got grief from the delivery guy. Absolute shocking service, restaurant never answered the phone either, total disgrace. Last time using this restaurant.

Order takes about 5 hours to arrive, no one picks up the phone.

Order placed 19:11, now almost 3 hours and haven't got our food yet.

I placed an order at 18:40, it is now 21:08...the order has not arrived, the tracker has remained on "checking and cutting" since 19:33. I called the store four times, two of which the phone was picked up and immediately put down! Unbelievably horrendous service! I will not be ordering from here again.

I am absolutely discusted by the customer service I have experience with this shop, I ordered a gluten free pizza for muu younger brother, the received a noaml pizza which he can't even touch as he's highly allergic, with reporting this I was told I would receive a refund within 5 days, I waited a week as I know myself from working in customer service it can take longer, but still never received my refund, so called back amd they said they would sort it, I then called back the following week do this had now been 14days since being told I'd received my refund and again they said they would sort it I gave them all my information phones number address etc. Its now coming up on 4 weeks since originally being told I'd receive a refund and haven't heard a word. I am absolutely Furious.

Pathetic, will never order from PapaJohns Chippenham again, must be the worst run establishment in the country, exceptionally poor service, never answer the phone, deliveries are always well over an hour and the pizzas are awful if you ever get them that is, avoid this place like the plague, you have been warned.

Didn't receive all of the orders, which was 45 mins late, unfortunately.

Food over an hour later than maximum delivery time. Called repeatedly and got told it will be 5 more minutes. This went on for 40 minutes. I asked for some compensation and all I got offered was a free drink in a £30 order. I have people waiting for the food so the free drink is irrelevant. I need to food delivered on time. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they will call me in 2 and a half hours time! Not good enough. I expect a full refund

2 and half hours later i still have not received my food. When i phoned they were saying that driver had tried delivering it but no one there. Which is rubbish cos weve been waiting for it. Terrible service, you have to ring nearly an hour after order to be placed for them to actually be bothered to send it out then having to ring again 45 minutes later to be told the driver had a flat tire, which probably meant it still hadn’t left the shop. Avoid at all costs

They changed my order with out telling me and will not refund me

25 minutes later after receiving the “enjoy your food” pop up. Clearly noone listens to the “notes for the driver” as always have issues with delivery. The food was mediocre. My favourite pizza place slowly moving down the list, disappointing.

Food still hasn't arrived and the shop won't answer their phones so I can't find out if/when my order is actually coming - I wanted to cancel the order half an hour ago but, again, the phones aren't being answered so I can't even do that. I don't think the food is even coming at this point so I imagine I'll be calling them in the daytime to demand a refund. I've given the food an Ok rating bc it hasn't turned up so I haven't had a chance to form an opinion on it either way.

Wrong order sent, took 2 and a half hours in total.

Food was over an hour and half from the delivery time stated, on arrival it was cold and not edible.

I got my food, which was great but i was so confused because the delivery driver called my number and stood by my gate instead of just knocking and I couldn’t really understand much of what they said but i got 2 pizzas which I didn’t order and i was more confused but then he called me back and realised the mistake, luckily the 2 pizzas had not been touched but I haven’t had anything like that happen before.

Pizzas were over cooked and burnt. Bacon tots had a maximum of 4 bits of bacon on and no cheese. Brownie burnt. Pizza tasted awful (didn’t actually taste like anything). Bbq chicken had way to much bbq sauce thrown on it and burnt. Mexican pizza was ‘well done’ seemed to be missing cheese and sauce base. Although I did get a call to advise it would be 30mins late (did appreciate the update) it was still 15 mins late from that phone call.

Papadia is the thinnest I’ve seen, no filling what so ever

Pizza had slid to one side and folded over with some of the topping being stuck to the top of the box. Also ice cream wasn’t as advertised. I received two small tubs instead of what’s advertised.

The driver delivered to the wrong address. The original crust pizza was very thin, sparsely topped and cold. The sides were cold, coating on the jalapeño poppers was falling off.

Pizza arrived with the wrong topping, called straight away to hopefully get the driver to take it back. I was told that a replacement pizza was coming within 30 mins. I did what any hungry person would do, and ate the pizza with the wrong topping. I waited an hour, called back and was told that the manager had spoken with the maker and he had explained that he had put the right toppings and asked if I could then send a picture of the pizza (now in my intestines) to prove the wrong topping. Terrible customer service, the food was cold and wasted an hour of my time.
