Papa John's Pizza in South Gloucestershire

UPDATE. Last night, for a good 30mins the ap showed as 'checking & cutting' (why so long?). Once our order finally arrived (1hr 10min from ordering). Both pizzas were pretty cold, even worse the toppings were scarce and the pepperoni, we'll what there was of it was so thin I could read a newspaper through it. Admittedly we were sent an automatic apology message re time taken, with a free medium pizza offer which we will take up, but unless food is hot with a reasonable standard of toppings I'll be looking elsewhere for my pizza in future. (Previous) Glad Filton has reopened. Pizza came quick although not very hot. There was a lacking in toppings, much less than we used to have on our pizzas from here. Tasted good though, still beats other pizza chains. Please don't be so stingy with the toppings next time.

I used to order from here a few times a month but this store has just gotten worse and worse, Wrong items sent, Extremely long waiting times ect, And just now I ordered a takeaway which did not arrive, I called the store to find out what's happening and they told me it's been cancelled due to an IT problem no apologies or anything, You would think they would contact their customers to let them know instead of waiting for hours but unfortunately not, I will be finding somewhere else to order from as this is not acceptable

We ordered pizza for £62 for my daughter's birthday party through Uber, and at the last minute, we got a cancellation message without a single call from the delivery person. We are absolutely furious and completely disappointed. The kids were all excited about having pizza, and this turned into an embarrassing disaster for us. How could you cancel the order at the last minute and not even refund our money? I want to know who ended up with that pizza because we certainly didn’t get it!... It's hard earned money....

Food is usually good, but they’ve started to use Uber for deliveries. My last delivery had missing items. I called the store, and they blamed the driver. No refund offered…..

My pizza had a chicken bone in it.

Dude on the phone last night hung up on me and when I tried calling again no one picked up. My pizza was atrocious, toppings were missing and why the hell was there a piece of chicken on a Hawaiian pizza?? Called in this morning and the guy on the phone was super helpful, someone should seriously have a word with the dude working last night.

I ordered 2 pizza with a crispy thin base but they sent a thick base, spoilt the mood, i have been regularly ordering from them, they are not consistent with their products.

I want half of my refund as the food was cold not happy

ordered at 18:30 says delayed but will still be delivered at 19:30 then update to say 20:30, still not here at 20:50 so I phone for them to tell me the driver doesn't want to deliver BC of traffic. then why say it will be delivered still.

The Garlic and Herb Dip didn’t state that it had mustard in it. We checked the website and the just eat app, when calling the place up to speak about it they were rude. All allergies should be updated and accurate

Ordered from Papa John's for the first time ever today. We were all really pleased. All food was hot and tasty. Delivery driver was polite, friendly and professional. Perfectly happy to order again (Just not tonight as we're a bit full)

Great service and pizza what's not to like

Who ever was working the phone last night was rude and hung up on me, I just asked if I could have an eta on my delivery and he said nah don’t do that and hung up rude will not order from here again

We were very disappointed when our pizza arrived as it barely had any cheese at all. I called to complain and to say I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the pizza and they told me to send an email to their customer service team. I said that I wouldn’t be doing that and that I wanted a replacement or a full refund so they agreed to send a replacement pizza. I got the replacement 45 mins later and again no cheese! I guess they don’t have enough cheese in this branch so unless you’re after bread with tomatoes sauce then look elsewhere.

Was staying at the Village hotel ordered a pizza and drink. Was called to be told my drinks unavailable. When pizza arrived it was cold.....

Was a little late but was all okay and gave us a bit extra. Thanks

Tracker changed to 'delivered' after 45 minutes. 30 minutes later I called the store as it was still not here. The lady told me it had left the store for delivery but couldn't say when it would arrive. And hung up on me. Another 37 minutes it turns up. Cold. Hard cheese. Inedible. Wrong extra dips i paid for delivered. Oh...they also left the metal cooking plate under the pizza....tried calling to request another but not picking up phone. £34 wasted

Food was meant to be delivered latest at 12:35am. On the app it said it was delivered at 1:05am but no one had turned up. Had to call to find out that the food still hadn’t been made and they will be 15mins tops. 1:41am I finally received my food. COLD! I ordered at 11:50pm. It took nearly 2 hours to get to my door. Absolute joke!! Wouldn’t bother with papa johns ever again!!

Ordered for take away last week. Order came 2 hours late, cold. Called the restaurant, they said to email their head office to get a refund. No refund given, no apology given. UPDATE: Contacted the given email address in the comments and I have been given no response. What a low effort company

I used to get great service! But now they seem to get my order wrong. Customer services are sly AF they offer you a large pizza for free if you spend the minimum order. Basically to claim your free pizza for a bad order you have to spend money. Absolute joke

Use papa johns from fishponds and they’re amazing. This one however is awful! We ordered a family meal and it took over an hour to leave the branch… then we got a text saying it was delivered when it wasn’t!! Tried calling the branch.. they don’t answer the phone. After 30 mins of calling someone answered the phone and said they were “really busy” I said that’s fine but we’ve had confirmation of delivery and the food isn’t here!!! They said the confirmation communication means nothing and the pizza was on its way… 1hr 45 mins later and 35 mins after the “your food was delivered text” and it still isn’t here! AVOID!

How you can justify having one member of staff on at night is ridiculous. He'd struggle if he were good at the job, but this guy is shockingly bad!

18 pound for a tiny pizza is terrible thought because it was expensive it was a large one and food arrived really late and was cold and tasted terrible

At expected delivery time it said it had been delivered. I rang the store and they said it was on its way . I live 10 mins from the store. I don’t mind waiting but don’t say it’s been delivered and then I wait another 30 min. The pizza was also cold . Flavours were good though

Really poor experience. Extremely long wait for food to be delivered (1hr 20+), an order tracking feature that was wholly inaccurate causing issues. When food eventually arrived, the sides were below par luke warm and undercooked, the vegan chicken dippers were not very nice. Thoroughly disappointed.

We waited 2 hours for delivery. Everything was cold . Really disappointed.Never purchase again.

The updates on the app were not accurate. I called the restaurant 5 mins after having a notification saying to enjoy my food and was informed that my order was still in the restaurant. They were waiting for the driver to return. Order was 25 mins late. The driver did not apologise and wasn’t making much sense.

The pizza was in adequate for the toppings, very little on a whole large pizza was basically just base and sauce and what little toppings were there were mushrooms disguised as steak, which a relative was allergic too

I have experienced VERY late delivery from this Papa Johns several times. At the time of writing the app informs me that my pizza, due 40 minutes ago, has been sat "checking and cutting" for 50 minutes.

I visited this store a second time (last time was a couple years ago) and I am impressed the store was completely clean and the young lady Cristina was really good. Cleaned hands etc prior to making the pizza and she cleaned after making the pizza!

Ordered 1 pizza at 5:20 and it didn't show up until 6:50 and when it finally did arrive, it was cold... but still tastey. Upon calling the restaurant, they just kept saying its on route and that they're short staffed and it'll arrive when it arrives and I was told that (even though I'm a 7 minute drive away) I was the 5th destination, which is probably why it was cold. I am very disappointed overall as this is the second time in a row this has happened. I'm not going to be ordering from here again.

Food was cold and an hour and a half late

Tried papa John's for the first time instead of ordering dominoes....wish I hadn't bothered the pizzas were tasteless! We ordered 2 large pizzas. The first one was called "All the meats" and to be perfectly honest I've seen more meat on a vegan's toothpick!! The other pizza was BBQ chicken pizza which was slightly better but still lacked meat...the dips were disgusting and the potato tots were soggy and under cooked!! Its safe to say we won't be ordering Papa John's ever again.....not a single member of my family enjoyed any of the food....

When i called them back to ask about my order, the person who answered have been very rude and accused me the delivery driver called me many times and the call couldn’t go through. They said I will receive a refund. I’m not happy with this, and i have been checked the cameras from the property and I could see any car coming on property.

What a fast delivery ‘The Papa John’s’ guys does!!!! It just took 2 hours to get my pizza delivered. The distance between source and destination was just 1.8 miles. Ordered pizza at 8pm and got delivered at 10.15pm. I paid £25 for such a fast delivery and I got lot of frustration and rubbery pizza as a complementary. Can’t thank you enough dear Papa John’s for keeping my kid asleep hungry. Not worth of 1 star as well. The delivery person was such insane to read the address and find it in google map. Never order from this place, there are high chances of you remaining hungry or get to eat rubber for your money. Papa John’s don’t care for their customers. Hoping to get my money back. Ridiculous !!!!

Saw a lady with long black hair spit on the pizzas

I nearly walked away without ordering when I saw the prices. However we're getting a Papa John's in Lawrence Weston soon so I decided to try one. I ordered a small (approx 8-10 inch) Mexican pizza, which was done in about 9 minutes. It was too hot to eat immediately so I drove the three miles or so home. The pizza was okay (I've had better and worse) but at £17 I thought it was overpriced.

Marcos was great and was able to fulfill our order even though they were understaffed. Would order from here again

I placed an order for 2 pizzas and a side, upon collection I was greeted by Marcos, who was kind enough to offer me an extra pizza which was an incorrect order of another customer, I was very grateful for the extra pizza especially my kids, who went back inside with me to say a special thank you. Top service and great pizzas, would definitely order from here again when in the area. I am sure all the staff are great here, for me, Marcos definitely is one of the best, personal thanks to him for making our experience amazing.

Thought I’d try this outlet rather than the more well known provider. Found to be rude, the decor falling apart, creating a trip hazard. When the tracking app says food is ready for collection your still waiting at the counter for 5-10 min. Will revert back to the other place in future.

Finding out you've ordered a rubbish pizza from a company that supports Russia (i.e. thinks Joe Biden is using the Ukrainian crisis for his own gain) completely ruins the experience. Well done Papa Johns - support Trump if you want, but don't expect us to keep supporting your US Republican bias...

Had a strange experience. Cash was not excepted.Tryed to pay on two different cards.The card machine stopped working. My pizzas were left on a side for a while.Finaly after the staff turn the card machine on and of the machine started working.Long and disapointing wait.

65 minutes to arrive. Both pizzas were undercooked and stone cold. The base was just soft bread, the cheese was not even melted. Called the store and an extremely rude lady said 'well what do you expect me to do about it'. The worst experience I have ever had in any takeaway or shop. Avoid this store

Tried this for a change over domino's, it's not as good as domino's tho.

Terrible service. They have screwed up our order a couple times now. This time they left off multiple toppings. When we called the guy was extremely rude and would not offer any solution or refund. He told us it was our problem.

I've been to papa johns twice the pizzas are significantly over priced and they are very stingy with the tomato sauce on the base which made the pizzas dryer than a nuns you know what
